The far field of surface mounted elastic wave transducers, as used in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), is analyzed in order to understand the mechanisms that determine the directivity of these devices. To model the physical configuration, a moving distribution of normal traction, acting at the free surface of an elastic half-space, is used. The exact field expression consists of a spatial superposition of the elementary waves emitted by the hypothetical point sources that make up the finite source. The current aim is to derive approximate far field expressions that are physically instructive and numerically fast. This is achieved through a paraxial approximation of the elementary waves and a Taylor approximation of their arrival times. The approximate expressions thus obtained, consist of a time convolution of a paraxial wave and a transfer function. The latter represents the influence of the source geometry. Besides elucidating the mechanisms of directivity, the analysis renders a rule of thumb for synthesizing a source with a desired directivity pattern. Numerical experiments show that the approximations reduce the computational effort by a factor of 1000, and that the accuracy of the approximate far field and directivity proves excellent at distances beyond a few times the characteristic source size.  相似文献

激光诱导击穿光谱技术(LIBS)是一种广泛应用于科学和工程方面的元素分析技术。LIBS测量一些微量元素时存在探测极限高的不足,因此增强LIBS信号强度,降低元素探测极限,对扩展其应用范围有着重要的意义。为了实现LIBS光谱信号的增强,提出多次放电增强激光诱导击穿光谱方法,并以固体铝合金材料为例进行了光谱信号强度增强的研究。实验发现,激光作用在铝合金材料上烧蚀样品产生等离子体并溅射到样品上方高压放电电极所在区域,该区域在等离子体产生之后50 μs之内均可以诱导高压电极放电。因此采用高频脉冲电源可以实现一次LIBS产生的等离子体诱导电极多次放电。多次放电会对等离子体进行多次激发,同时多次放电对等离子的加热作用会延缓等离子体冷却速率从而延长等离子体的持续时间,两者共同作用可以增强LIBS光谱信号强度,进而降低LIBS对微量元素的探测极限。使用频率为100 kHz的高频直流脉冲电源,利用数字延迟脉冲发生器同步激光与高压电源,在激光过后3.6 μs触发高压放电,一次LIBS产生的等离子体可以诱导电极5次放电,即对等离子体进行5次激发和加热。利用光谱仪对5次放电等离子体光谱进行积分测量。实验结果表明:使用多次放电增强之后,等离子体持续时间得到大幅延长,光谱信号强度得到大幅增强,其中,Mg Ⅱ (~279 nm)的信号强度可以增强约48倍,Al Ⅱ (~358 nm)的信号强度可以增强约72倍,微量元素Mn Ⅰ (~403 nm)的信号强度增强约6.3倍,微量元素Cu Ⅰ (~403 nm) 的信号强度增强约8.3倍。Mn Ⅰ (~403 nm)和Cu Ⅰ (~403 nm) 的探测极限分别降低为LIBS单次放电的1/6和1/8。多次放电增强激光诱导击穿光谱方法很好地增强了LIBS的光谱信号强度,降低了对微量元素的探测极限,扩展了LIBS技术的应用范围。该方法有潜力应用到贵重物品、稀有材料及文物的鉴定之中。  相似文献

A fundamental radiometric measurement has been carried out in the spectral region 1–140 cm–1 which demonstrates the higher brightness of the synchrotron radiation source at Daresbury Laboratory over a high pressure mercury arc lamp source. Comparison of the output powers from the SRS and the mercury lamp revealed that the SRS has a particular advantage in the region where the wavelength of the emitted photon becomes very longer. The gain factor of the SRS at 10 cm–1 was at least 10 times of the mercury lamp at a storage ring current of about 90 mA.A single period wiggler is considered to be a favorable device which will provide a higher level of photon fluxes from an electron storage ring in the long wavelength region.  相似文献

CFBR-Ⅱ堆增殖反应性转换系数是利用源倍增方法获取次临界反应性的关键参数,该参数在多次标定实验中数值不同,为了解释该现象,从输运方程出发,对中子源倍增方法增殖反应性转换系数进行推导;针对不同反应性的CFBR-Ⅱ堆,采用蒙特卡罗方法,对表达式中的每个参量进行计算,得到不同反应性下的增殖反应性转换系数.通过分析得出,增殖反应性转换系数取决于缓发中子份额、外源中子的相对价值、增殖系统和替代系统的泄露几率比及探测器的探测效率比;CFBR-Ⅱ堆增殖反应性转换系数不是常数,而是随反应性变化的.  相似文献

针对水声信道对舰船辐射噪声声传播的影响,进而导致声源级测量结果不准确的问题,提出了基于匹配场处理的舰船辐射噪声级估计方法。在海洋环境噪声为空间均匀高斯白噪声的假设下,当海洋环境参数已知、信噪比满足一定要求时,匹配场处理能有效地给出被测噪声源的位置信息及该位置处的能量响应。从能量估计角度出发,推导了声源位置处匹配场输出响应的能量修正因子计算公式,从理论上证明了匹配场处理在被测声源位置处输出响应与能量修正因子的乘积为真实声源级的最小方差无偏(MVU)估计。该方法首先选择合适的声场计算模型计算拷贝场向量,对接收到的辐射噪声信号进行匹配场处理,得出接收信号级和被测声源位置;其次利用该位置所对应的拷贝场向量替换能量修正因子公式中的真实信道传输函数以计算能量修正因子的估计值;最后由接收信号级与能量修正因子估计值相乘得出舰船辐射噪声声源级的MVU估计。针对典型的浅海水声信道,进行了计算机仿真试验,结果表明:该方法能有效地进行舰船辐射噪声测量,当信噪比满足一定要求时,测量得到的声源级与实际声源级相比,误差小于1 dB。   相似文献

Published works have predicted that the radiative transfer from a heated metal to a lossless dielectric a short distance away is many orders of magnitude times the free-space Planck density. It is shown analytically that the radiative transfer from a heated metal to a lossless dielectric of index n(3) is n(3)(2)e(13) times the free-space Planck density, where e(13) is the emissivity of the metal radiating into the lossless dielectric. This radiative transfer is never larger than n(3)(2) (approximately one order of magnitude for semiconductors in the infrared) times the free=space Planck density. The expressions presented show that the maximum radiative transfer from a lossy metallic heat source with a dielectric function of imaginary part ?(I) must be proportional to n(3)(3)/ radical?(I), of which a factor of n(3)(2) arises from the power density within a dielectric and a factor of n(3)/ radical?(I) arises from the emissivity of a metal radiating directly into a dielectric.  相似文献

Microcavity resonance is demonstrated in nanocrystal quantum dot fluorescence in a one-dimensional (1D) chiral photonic bandgap cholesteric-liquid crystal host under cw excitation. The resonance demonstrates coupling between quantum dot fluorescence and the cholesteric microcavity. Observed at a band edge of a photonic stop band, this resonance has circular polarization due to microcavity chirality with 4.9 times intensity enhancement in comparison with polarization of the opposite handedness. The circular-polarization dissymmetry factor g(e) of this resonance is ~1.3. We also demonstrate photon antibunching of a single quantum dot in a similar glassy cholesteric microcavity. These results are important in cholesteric-laser research, in which so far only dyes were used, as well as for room-temperature single-photon source applications.  相似文献

运用非傍轴光束传输的矢量矩理论,对非傍轴矢量高斯光束的传输特性进行了系统的研究.结果表明,基于二阶矩定义的横向光束宽度在光束传播过程中满足简单的双曲线变化规律,并且给出了光束传输因子的解析表达式.就高度非傍轴情形,进一步给出了简洁的计算公式,在高斯光源线度趋向零的极限情形下,横向的最大发散角为90°.同时,还推广到了傍轴情形,得到了与原有傍轴公式稍有区别的结果,而且光束传输因子始终保持略大于1最后,对非傍轴矢量高斯光束和非傍轴标量高斯光束的传输进行了比较,结果显示对于线度在两个波长范围之内的高斯光源发散 关键词: 矢量高斯光束 光束传输 非傍轴 二阶矩  相似文献

A.Ainslie发表文章指出传统定义的被动声纳方程严格应用起来与实际情况存在一定的偏差,某些情况下会带来严重的错误。该偏差需通过接收水听器与声源处介质的特征阻抗比来校正。主动声纳方程中存在同样的问题,其与实际情况的偏差需要用接收水听器与声源处的介质特征阻抗比的平方来校正。本文给出主动声纳方程中传播损失和混响级的重新定义,并且给出相应的两种主动声纳方程,两种方程都消除了这种不期望的特征阻抗比偏差。  相似文献

In this paper the first results of the new ECR source at the KVI are presented.The source has been built following the design of Jyv(?)skyl(?) University,which is based on the AECR-U of LBNL.As the commissioning is going on,it seems that the extraction and analysing systems inherited from the old source are the limiting factors for the performance of the new source.Beam currents achieved with the source are at the moment a factor of 3 lower than the AECR source used at the Jyv(?)skyl(?) University.Further modifications to improve the source performance will be discussed.  相似文献

The MUON-T setup operated at the Tien Shan high-altitude station of the Lebedev Physical Institute (3340 m above sea level) at a soil depth of ∼10 m (∼20 m m.w.e.). Muons with delay times of 30–150 ns with respect to the extensive air shower front were observed at this setup. Calculations showed that delay times of relativistic muons, taking into account their deviations in the geomagnetic field, do not exceed ∼30 ns. To elucidate the possible role of neutrons in the appearance of delayed events due to the n-p reaction in the plastic scintillator material, the problem of neutron transport in a medium with a density of 2 g/cm3 and a humidity of 10% was solved by the Monte Carlo method. Calculations for a point source of neutrons with energies of 5, 10, and 20 MeV (such neutrons can be generated, in particular, in cascades in soil from hadrons of the shower core) showed that the neutron flux decreases more than by a factor of 104 at a distance of 2.8 m of soil from the source. Neither neutron crosses the boundary of 3m at the total statistics of 3 · 105 events. Since the MUON-T setup is at a depth of 10 m, it is clear that neutrons from the atmosphere and soil upper layer are absorbed, scattered, and do not reach the detector. Thus, the formation of delayed muons in the MUON-T setup cannot be explained by these neutrons.  相似文献

The majority of attention on the impact of anthropogenic noise on marine mammals has focused on low-frequency episodic activities. Persistent sources of mid-frequency noise pollution are less well studied. To address this data gap, the contribution of 25 physical, biological and anthropogenic factors to the ambient noise levels in the Wilmington, North Carolina Intracoastal Waterway were analyzed using a principal components analysis and least squares regression. The total number of recreational vessels passing through the waterway per hour is the factor that had the single greatest influence on environmental noise levels. During times of high boat traffic, anthropogenic noise is continuous rather than episodic, and occurs at frequencies that are biologically relevant to bottlenose dolphins. As a daily part of resident bottlenose dolphins' acoustic environment, recreational boating traffic may represent a chronic source of acoustic harassment.  相似文献

This study investigates a terminal transient response of a Langevin-type PZT vibrator theoretically and experimentally to quantify an electrical shock and refine an equivalent circuit of the vibrator. The shock is induced immediately after an AC sinusoidal voltage of the vibrator is switched off. Then, the transient response involves a DC part and an AC part, which approach zero at the DC and AC times, respectively, and the vibrator is placed on a sponge in air. To do so, we should propose an open-circuit test to find the AC and DC times in addition to the maximum amplitude of the transient response. Thus the DC times exceeds the AC time, and the AC and DC times are used to estimate the resistances in the equivalent circuit presenting the real mechanical and dielectric losses, respectively. Therefore, the resistances in the equivalent circuit are sensitive to the vibration amplitude, but the inductance and capacitances are not. Furthermore, the maximum amplitude is required to cause the shock, and depends on the frequency of the source and the open-circuited time, and is about 65 times the amplitude of the source.  相似文献

A Fokker–Planck equation describing the statistical properties of Brownian particles acted upon by long-range stochastic forces with power-law correlations is derived. In contrast with previous approaches (Wang, Phys. Rev. A 45 (1992) 2), it is shown that the distribution of Brownian particles after release from a point source is broader than Gaussian and described by a Fox function. Transport is shown to be ballistic at short times and either sub-diffusive or super-diffusive at large times. The imposition of occasional trapping events onto the Brownian dynamics can result in confined diffusion (d/dtx2→0) at long times when the mean trapping time is divergent. It is suggested that such dynamics describe protein motions in cell membranes.  相似文献

提出了一种基于非色散紫外(NDUV)算法,利用光电二极管阵列(PDA)探测器和光谱仪检测一氧化氮气体的分析方法。通过对比分析不同积分次数下一氧化氮吸收谱和无吸收谱内不同波长宽度的总光强,引入光源影响因子F和吸收谱因子B,得到吸光度与浓度的拟合方程及相关系数。结果表明,采用合适的拟合阶数、拟合波长宽度和分析方法,吸光度与浓度的二阶拟合相关系数可达0.999 9以上, 通过拟合方程所获得的待测气体浓度与标准值浓度的误差在3%以内。  相似文献

Summary A statistical analysis of the irregularities in the pulse arrival times for the some 30 pulsars, for which the timing noise measurements are available, indicates that, at a confidence level of 96%, the timing noise is induced by a hypothetical source within our Galaxy. The source would be located at 08 h 38 min right ascension, −3° declination and 0.9 kpc distance from the solar system. We suggest and discuss the possibility that the interaction between the ?source? and the pulsars is due to gravitational waves, emitted in bursts by the hypothetical source with yearly rate over the past 105 years.
