Recent experiments have utilizied high-power subpicosecond laser pulses to effect the ultrafast heating of a condensed material to temperatures far above the critical temperature. Using optical diagnostics it was established that a complicated density profile with sharp gradients, differing substantially from an ordinary rarefaction wave, forms in the expanding heated matter. The present letter is devoted to the analysis of the expansion of matter under the conditions of the experiments reported by D. von der Linde, K. Sokolowski-Tinten, and J. Bialkowski, Appl. Surf. Science 109/110, 1 (1996); K. Sokolowski-Tinten, J. Bialkowski, A. Cavalleri et al., Proc. Soc. Photo-Opt. Instum. Eng. 3343, 46 (1998); and, K. Sokolowski-Tinten, J. Bialkowski, A. Cavalleri et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 81, 224 (1998). It is shown that if the unloading adiabat passes through the two-phase region, a thin liquid shell filled with low-density two-phase matter forms in the expanding material. The shell moves with a constant velocity. The velocity in the two-phase material is a linear function of the coordinate (flow with uniform deformation), and the density is independent of the coordinate and decreases with time as t −1. Optical methods are used to investigate the dynamics of the interaction of a high-current electron beam with an aerogel (a highly porous transparent dielectric with a low density ρ=0.36 g/cm3). The measured profile of the glow of the aerogel and the pattern of its expansion are compared with the results of a numerical simulation. The influence of the space charge on the profile of the energy absorption from the high-current relativistic electron beam is discussed. Zh. Tekh. Fiz. 67, 26–32 (November 1997)  相似文献

The problems of stability and mixing are important in the physics of high-energy densities. Ablation-induced acceleration of foils and compression of liners entail loss of symmetry and the development of instability. The most destructive instability is the fundamental f mode, which conserves the pressure in Lagrangian particles. A means has been proposed to eliminate this dangerous mode, based on special profiling of the mass distribution among the subshells. The presence of this mode has led to novel proposals for limiting the degree of instability and optimization of the shells by profiling in the important case of very large density ratios at the ablation front. The solution is based on a class of new polytropes with an inverted density profile and a negative polytrope index N. In this class the density ρ of the material does not decrease towards the boundary with the vacuum, as for ordinary polytropes with N>0, but rather increases. This permits modeling multilayer distributions of ρ typical of inertial confinement fusion systems in which the high-density subshells form an inner core surrounding a low-pressure cavity, and the outer layers are made from low-density materials (plastic, foam type materials, composites). It is emphasized that the distributions are self-similar, and hence both the linear and the turbulent dynamics are scale-invariant. The spectral problem of perturbations in an incompressible fluid has a hidden symmetry. Isospectral deformations of the density profile I{ρ 0(y)} are known that leave the spectrum unchanged. It is of interest to apply the transformation I to the invariant f ± modes, since they are not tied to any specific profile of ρ 0(y). This paper analyzes a new type of invariant mode obtained in this way. Zh. éksp. Teor. Fiz. 111, 1347–1368 (April 1997)  相似文献

We have obtained a generalization of the hydrodynamic theory of vacuum in the context of general relativity. While retaining the Lagrangian character of general relativity, the new theory provides a natural alternative to the view that the singularity is inevitable in general relativity and the theory of a hot Universe. We show that the macroscopic source-sink motion as a whole of ordinary (dark) matter that emerges during the production of particles out of the vacuum can be a new source of gravitational vacuum polarization (determining the variability of the cosmological term in general relativity). We have removed the well-known problems of the cosmological constant by refining the physical nature of dark energy associated precisely with this hydrodynamically initiated variability of the vacuum energy density. A new exact solution of the modified general relativity equations that contains no free (fitting) parameter additional to those available in general relativity has been obtained. It corresponds to the continuous and metric-affecting production of ultralight dark matter particles (with mass m 0 = (ħ/c 2) $ \sqrt {12\rho _0 k} $ \sqrt {12\rho _0 k} ≈ 3 × 10−66 g, k is the gravitational constant) out of the vacuum, with its density ρ0, constant during the exponential expansion of a spatially flat Universe, being retained. This solution is shown to be stable in the regime of cosmological expansion in the time interval −∞ < t < t max, when t = 0 corresponds to the present epoch and t max= 2/3H 0 cΩ0m ≈ 38 × 109 yr at Ω0m = ρ0c ≈ 0.28 (H 0 is the Hubble constant, ρc is the critical density). For t > t max, the solution becomes exponentially unstable and characterizes the inverse process of dark matter particle absorption by the vacuum in the regime of contraction of the Universe. We consider the admissibility of the fact that scalar massive photon pairs can be these dark matter particles. Good quantitative agreement of this exact solution with the cosmological observations of SnIa, SDSS-BAO, and the decrease in the acceleration of the expansion of the Universe has been obtained.  相似文献

We consider the totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP) with two-sided Bernoulli initial condition, i.e., with left density ρ and right density ρ +. We study the associated height function, whose discrete gradient is given by the particle occurrences. Macroscopically one has a deterministic limit shape with a shock or a rarefaction fan depending on the values of ρ ±. We characterize the large time scaling limit of the multipoint fluctuations as a function of the densities ρ ± and of the different macroscopic regions. Moreover, using a slow decorrelation phenomena, the results are extended from fixed time to the whole space-time, except along the some directions (the characteristic solutions of the related Burgers equation) where the problem is still open.  相似文献

Bianchi type III cosmological model for perfect fluid distribution with variable G and Λ are investigated. To get the determinate models, we have assumed the barotropic condition p=γ ρ and shear (σ) is proportional to expansion (θ) where p is isotropic pressure, ρ the matter density and 0≤γ≤1. The physical and geometrical aspects related with the observations and singularities in the models are discussed.  相似文献

The binding energy, symmetry energy, pressure, incompressibility, and the velocity of sound are calculated for asymmetric nuclear matter using Skyrme interaction SkO’. The behavior of these physical quantities is studied for different values of the asymmetry parameter α τ , the density ρ, and the temperature T. Good agreement is obtained in comparison with previous theoretical estimates and experimental data. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

In this work we consider the entropy-corrected version of interacting holographic dark energy (HDE), in the non-flat universe enclosed by apparent horizon. Two corrections of entropy so-called logarithmic ‘LEC’ and power-law ‘PLEC’ in HDE model with apparent horizon as an IR-cutoff are studied. The ratio of dark matter to dark energy densities u, equation of state parameter w D and deceleration parameter q are obtained. We show that the cosmic coincidence problem is solved for interacting models. By studying the effect of interaction in EoS parameter of both models, we see that the phantom divide may be crossed and also understand that the interacting models can drive an acceleration expansion at the present and future, while in non-interacting case, this expansion can happen only at the early time. The graphs of deceleration parameter for interacting models, show that the present acceleration expansion is preceded by a sufficiently long period deceleration at past. Moreover, the thermodynamical interpretation of interaction between LECHDE and dark matter is described. We obtain a relation between the interaction term of dark components and thermal fluctuation in a non-flat universe, bounded by the apparent horizon. In limiting case, for ordinary HDE, the relation of interaction term versus thermal fluctuation is also calculated.  相似文献

We find a solution for exponential inflation in a Brans-Dicke generalized model, where the coupling “constant” is variable. While in General Relativity the equation of state is p=−ρ, here we find p=α ρ, where α<−2/3. The negativity of cosmic pressure implies acceleration of the expansion, even with Λ<0.  相似文献

We study the possible collective plasma modes which can affect neutron-star thermodynamics and different elementary processes in the baryonic density range between nuclear saturation ρ 0 and 3ρ 0. In this region, the expected constituents of neutron-star matter are mainly neutrons, protons, electrons, and muons (npeμ matter), under the constraint of beta equilibrium. The elementary plasma excitations of the peμ three-fluid medium are studied in the RPA framework. We emphasize the relevance of the Coulomb interaction among the three species, in particular, the interplay of the electron and muon screening in suppressing the possible proton plasma mode, which is converted into a sound-like mode. The Coulomb interaction alone is able to produce a variety of excitation branches and the full spectral function shows a rich structure at different energy. The genuine plasmon mode is pushed at high energy and it contains mainly an electron component with a substantial muon component, which increases with density. The plasmon is undamped for not too large momentum and is expected to be hardly affected by the nuclear interaction. All the other branches, which fall below the plasmon, are damped or over-damped. Refractive indices n and density ρ of three plant oils (Anise, Nigelle, and Juniper berries) have been measured in the temperature range of 10–60°C. The model of the effective electric field E′ acting on a molecule in the material, E′ = E + xP, with the unlimited value of the coefficient of polarization input x has been applied to the analysis of the results obtained. The value x of the oils studied have been found to be in the range of 0.193–0.269, which is smaller than a similar value for water (x water > 0.3), known as a strong polar liquid.  相似文献

We calculate the contribution of pions to the $\bar qq$-expectation value κ(ρ) =<Mq q|M> in symmetric nuclear matter. We employ exact pion propagator renormalized by nucleon-hole and isobar-hole excitations. Conventional straightforward calculation leads to the “pion condensation” at unrealistically small values of densities, causing even earlier restoration of chiral symmetry. This requires a self-consistent approach, consisting in using the models, which include direct dependence of in-medium mass values on κ(ρ), e.g. the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio–model. We show, that in the self-consistent approach the ρ-dependence of the condensate is described by a smooth curve. The “pion condensate” point is removed to much higher values of density. The chiral restoration does not take place at least while ρ < 2.8ρ0 with ρ0 being the saturation value. Validity of our approach is limited by possible accumulation of heavier baryons (delta isobars) in the ground state of nuclear matter. For the value of effective nucleon mass at the saturation density we found m *0) = 0.6m, consistent with nowadays results of other authors. Received: 8 October 1998  相似文献

In this paper, we study the one-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations connecting to vacuum state with a jump in density when the viscosity depends on the density. Precisely, when the viscosity coefficient μ(ρ) is proportional to ρ θ with θ > 0, where ρ is the density, we give the asymptotic behavior and the decay rate of the density function ρ(x, t). Furthermore, the behavior of the density function ρ(x, t) near the interfaces separating the gas from vacuum and the expanding rate of the interfaces are also studied. The analysis is based on some new mathematical techniques and some new useful estimates. This fills a final gap on studying Navier-Stokes equations with the viscosity coefficient μ(ρ) dependent on the density ρ.  相似文献

The ρρN and ρρΔ three-body systems have been studied within the framework of the fixed center approximation of Faddeev equation. The ρρ interaction in isospin I = 0 , spin S = 2 is strongly attractive, and so are the N ρ, ρΔ interactions. This leads to bound states of both ρρN and ρρΔ. We find peaks of the modulus squared of the scattering matrix around 2227 MeV for ρρN, and 2372 MeV for ρρΔ. Yet, the strength of the peak for the ρρN amplitude is much smaller than for ρρΔ, weakening the case for a ρρN bound state, or a dominant ρρN component. A discussion is made on how these states can be searched for in present programs looking for multimeson final states in different reactions.  相似文献

No Heading We show that the Dirac-von Neumann formalism for quantum mechanics can be obtained as an approximation of classical statistical field theory. This approximation is based on the Taylor expansion (up to terms of the second order) of classical physical variables – maps f : Ω → R, where Ω is the infinite-dimensional Hilbert space. The space of classical statistical states consists of Gaussian measures ρ on Ω having zero mean value and dispersion σ2(ρ) ≈ h. This viewpoint to the conventional quantum formalism gives the possibility to create generalized quantum formalisms based on expansions of classical physical variables in the Taylor series up to terms of nth order and considering statistical states ρ having dispersion σ2(ρ) = hn (for n = 2 we obtain the conventional quantum formalism).  相似文献

There are various situations in which it is natural to ask whether a given collection of k functions, ρ j (r 1,…,r j ), j=1,…,k, defined on a set X, are the first k correlation functions of a point process on X. Here we describe some necessary and sufficient conditions on the ρ j ’s for this to be true. Our primary examples are X=ℝ d , X=ℤ d , and X an arbitrary finite set. In particular, we extend a result by Ambartzumian and Sukiasian showing realizability at sufficiently small densities ρ 1(r). Typically if any realizing process exists there will be many (even an uncountable number); in this case we prove, when X is a finite set, the existence of a realizing Gibbs measure with k body potentials which maximizes the entropy among all realizing measures. We also investigate in detail a simple example in which a uniform density ρ and translation invariant ρ 2 are specified on ℤ; there is a gap between our best upper bound on possible values of ρ and the largest ρ for which realizability can be established.  相似文献

It is established that the Hall effect in Fe/SiO2 nanocomposite films in the activational tunneling conduction range is anomalous, i.e., the Hall resistivity ρh is proportional to the magnetization and is due to the spin-orbit interaction. The parametric coupling of the Hall and longitudinal (ρxx) resistances ρh ∝ ρ xx m (with temperature as the parameter) is characterized by a much lower value of the exponent m than in a uniform ferromagnetic metal. This circumstance is attributed to the characteristic features of the Hall effect mechanism in the hopping regime — in our case, the interference of the amplitudes of tunneling transitions in a set of three granules. The quantization of the Hall resistivity ρxy in the form of plateaus in the dependence of ρxy on the magnetic field B is observed in the semiconductors Bi2Te3 and Sb2Te3; the minima of the transverse magnetoresistivity ρxx correspond to the start of the plateaus. The quantization of ρxy is due to the presence of a current-carrier reservoir. An impurity band with a high density of states or a different band with a much higher current-carrier effective mass serves as the reservoir. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor. A universal derivation of the thermodynamic equations on the basis of a combined analysis of the exact relations for any material — the virial theorem, the shock adiabat, and the differential thermodynamic identity relating the thermic and caloric equations of state of matter — is given. This combination makes it possible to reduce the fundamental problem of thermodynamics to a boundary-value problem of mathematical physics. Analytic relations T s=T(P s,ρ s and T s=T(D,u) are obtained for classical systems. Zh. Tekh. Fiz. 68, 1–9 (October 1998)  相似文献
