Finite Sylow Subgroups in Simple Locally Finite Groups of Lie Type

The main result of the paper is the followingTheorem. Let S = {r₀, r₁, ..., r_n} be a finite nonempty set of primes and let L be a Lie type of Chevalley groups. Then there exists a locally finite field F of characteristic r₀ such that Sylow r-subgroups of the simple group L(F) of type L over F are finite if and only if r ? S.

On SS-Quasinormal Subgroups of Finite Groups

A subgroup of a group G is said to be Sylow-quasinormal (S-quasinormal) in G if it permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G. A subgroup H of a group G is said to be Supplement-Sylow-quasinormal (SS-quasinormal) in G if there is a supplement B of H to G such that H is permutable with every Sylow subgroup of B. In this article, we investigate the influence of SS-quasinormal of maximal or minimal subgroups of Sylow subgroups of the generalized Fitting subgroup of a finite group.     

On c-Normal Subgroups of Finite Groups

On Reflection Subgroups of Finite Coxeter Groups

Let W be a finite Coxeter group. We classify the reflection subgroups of W up to conjugacy and give necessary and sufficient conditions for the map that assigns to a reflection subgroup R of W the conjugacy class of its Coxeter elements to be injective, up to conjugacy.     

On Solvable Normal Subgroups of Finite Groups

We consider solvable invariant subgroups of a finite group with bounded primary indices of maximal subgroups. We establish that an invariant subgroup of this type belongs to the product of classical formations and investigate its dispersibility.

假设G是一个有限群,H是G的一个子群.称H在G是s-置换的,若对G的任意的Sylow-子群Gp,有HG_p=G_pH:称H在G是弱s-可补的,若存在G的子群T使得G=HT且H∩T≤H_(sG),其中H_(sG)是所有包含在H中的G的s-置换子群生成的子群.本文给出了下列定理:设F是一个包含超可解群系u的饱和群系,有限群G有一个正规子群H使得G/H∈F.若F~*(H)的每个Sylow子群的所有极大子群在G中是弱s-可补的,其中F~*(H)是H的广义Fitting子群,则G∈F.它是J.Algebra,2007,315:192-209一文中的Skiba公开问题在极大子群情形下的肯定回答.     

On Hall Normally Embedded Subgroups of Finite Groups

A subgroup H of a finite group G is called Hall normally embedded in G if H is a Hall subgroup of the normal closure H ^G . Groups which contain a Hall normally embedded subgroup of order d for every factor d of | G | are characterized. Such groups are supersolvable with a cyclic nilpotent residual of square-free order.     

On Finite Groups with Some Semi Cover-Avoiding Subgroups

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to have the semi-cover-avoiding property in G if there is a chief series of G such that H covers or avoids every chief factor of the series. In this paper, some new results are obtained based on the assumption that some subgroups have the semi-cover-avoiding property in the group.     

关于有限群的弱S-可补嵌入子群(英文)

假定H是有限群G的一个子群.如果对于|H|的每个素因子p,H的一个Sylow p-子群也是G的某个s-可换子群的Sylow p-子群,则称H为G的s-可换嵌入子群;如果存在G的子群T使得G=HT并且H∩T≤HG,其中HG为群G含于H的最大的正规子群,则称H为G的c-可补子群;如果存在G的子群T使得G=HT并且H∩T≤Hse,其中Hse为群G含于H的一个s-可换嵌入子群,则称H为G的弱s-可补嵌入子群.本文研究弱s-可补嵌入子群对有限群结构的影响.某些新的结论被进一步推广.

从有限群构造的角度来看,p-幂零群和p-可分解群很相似,前者是p-群和p'-群的半直积,后者是p-群和P'-群的直积.有限群G的p-可分解剩余是P(G)=∩{H|H(⊿) G,而且G/H是p-可分解}.通过观察p-可分解剩余和极小子群的性质得到了几个关于p-幂零的充要条件.     

On s-Permutable Subgroups and p-Nilpotency of Finite Groups

A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be s-permutable in G if H permutes with every Sylow subgroup of G. In this article, some sufficient conditions for a finite group G to be p-nilpotent are given whenever all subgroups with order p ^m of a Sylow p-subgroup of G are s-permutable for a given positive integer m.     

On F-Abnormal Maximal Subgroups of Finite Groups

For any saturated formation F of finite groups containing all supersolvable groups, the groups in F are characterized by F-abnormal maximal subgroups.

Local Covering Subgroups in Finite Groups

A subgroup A of a finite group G is called a local covering subgroup of G if A~G=AB for all maximal G-invariant subgroup B of A~G=(A~g,g∈G).Let p be a prime and d be a positive integer.Assume that all subgroups of p~d,and all cyclic subgroups of order 4 when p~d=2 and a Sylow2-subgroup of G is nonabelian,of G are local covering subgroups.Then G is p-supersolvable whenever p~d=p or p~d≤(|G|_p)~(1/2) or p~d≤|O_(p'p)(G)|_p/p.     

Autocommutator Subgroups of Finite Groups

We present some new results about the absolute center and autocommutator subgroup of a group, concepts which were introduced in an earlier paper.
