We construct new basic solutions of equilibrium equations of a transversally isotropic paraboloid of rotation and obtain summation theorems that express them in terms of cylindrical solutions for a half-space and vice versa. The problem of the action of an axial concentrated force on an elastic transversally isotropic half-space with a fixed inclusion in the form of a paraboloid of rotation is investigated. The problem is solved by a generalized Fourier method and is reduced to a system of integral equations with a Fredholm operator on the condition that intersections of the boundaries of the half-space and inclusion are absent. We consider dependences of stresses on the shape of the paraboloidal inclusion and on the distance between the boundary surfaces and analyze the results of the calculation.  相似文献

This paper examines the interaction between two rigid circular indentors on a poroelastic half-space. The resulting mixed boundary value problem, when formulated in the Laplace transform domain, yields an infinite set of Fredholm integral equations. These integral equations are then solved for some special cases. Numerical results for the case of a single indentor show a good agreement with those obtained by using Heinrich and Desoyer's assumption. For the case in which the radius of one indentor reduces to zero (interaction between a rigid indentor and an externally placed load), the resulting equations are solved by a semi-inverse method to give analytical solutions for the resultant force and moment required to maintain the indentor with no normal displacement. When the indentor is subjected to an axial load but allowed to undergo an additional settlement and tilt, numerical results are presented to demonstrate the manner in which Poisson's ratio and the drainage boundary conditions influence the consolidation of the half-space. Numerical results are also given to illustrate the interaction between two identical indentors when ratio of the radius to the spatial distance between them is small.  相似文献

In this paper, the Reissner-Sagoci problem for a half-space with a surface constraint is considered. The problem is reduced to the triple integral equation by use of integral transforms. The triple integral equations are solved for small values of parameters characterizing the geometry of the problem. An expression for the torque required to rotate the disc through a fixed angle is obtained.  相似文献

The problem on vertical oscillations of a circular die with a plane base that freely lies on an elastic half-space and contains a cylindrical cavity, whose axis is perpendicular to the plane of the base of the die and passes through its center, is considered. The problem is formulated in the form of paired integral equations that are related to integral Weber transforms. The paired equations are reduced to an equivalent Fredholm equation of the second kind. Some results of numerical calculations of amplitude-frequency characteristics of oscillations of the die are given. The problem of the state of stress and strain in an elastic half-space with a cutout in the shape of a circular slot is solved by Kelvin's method /1/. The conditions on the slot are satisfied in a suitable manner by selecting the scalar and vector mass force potentials as generalized functions concentrated at the slot. The problem reduces to a system of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind in a semi-infinite interval. The solution for an elastic space with a slot is obtained in final form in the limiting case, which enables an estimate to be made of the magnitude of the settling of the earth's surface as a result of oil or gas deposit development.  相似文献

An axially symmetric problem of frictionless contact interaction of an elastic half-space and a rigid base that has a small surface recess is considered. A corresponding problem of elasticity theory is formulated. The problem is solved by the method of double integral equations. The contact pressure, the surface shape of the half-space after compression, and the size of the gap are found in closed form.  相似文献

A coupled system of integral equations (of the domain and boundary types) is formulated for the elastodynamic response analysis of a locally inhomogeneous body on a homogeneous elastic half-space. The method uses the fundamental solution for homogeneous elastostatics in the inhomogeneous domain owing to the lack of a fundamental solution in inhomogeneous elastodynamics.

The integral representation of displacements in the inhomogeneous domain is formulated with the help of this elastostatic fundamental solution by considering the term induced by the inhomogeneity of materials and the acceleration term as the body force term. Then the Green's matrix is obtained numerically from this integral representation and combined with the ordinary boundary integral equations, which are valid in the exterior homogeneous half-space.

Some numerical examples show the efficiency and the versatility of this coupled method.  相似文献

In the present study, we consider a thermoelastic half-space made of a functionally gradient material with an insulated crack, which is subjected to a thermal impact. The memory-dependent heat conduction model is adopted for analysis. By using the Fourier and Laplace transforms, the thermoelastic problem is formulated in terms of singular integral equations which can be solved numerically. Effects of the time delay, kernel function, and nonhomogeneity parameters on the temperature and stress intensity factor are analyzed. Our results are also compared with those based on the Fourier and CV heat conduction models, which can be viewed as two special cases of the present model. In conclusion, the memory-dependent derivative and nonhomogeneity parameters play an essential role in controlling the heat transfer process.  相似文献

A dynamic shear contact problem is examined for uniform and nonuniform bases. A flexible layer on a rigid half-space is chosen as the nonuniform base. The problem is solved on the basis of applied equations for strain. By using this approach, it is possible to reduce the problem to a system of integrodifferential equations. A numerical algorithm is proposed for its solution. Attention is focused on the effect of the flexible layer on the displacement and reaction of the die. This paper is concerned with the indentation of an elastic half-space by an axisymmetric punch under a monotonically applied normal force and under the assumption of Coulomb friction with coefficient μμ in the region of contact. Within an inner (unknown) circle the contact is adhesive, while in the surrounding annulus the surface moves inwards with increasing load. In this paper it is shown how this problem is equivalent to two coupled Abel's equations with an unknown free point, the inner circumference of the annulus. It is further shown that a product integration finite difference approximation of those integral equations leads to a mixed linear complementarity problem (mixed LCP). A method based on Newton's method for solving non-smooth nonlinear equations is demonstrated to converge under restrictive assumptions on the physical parameters defining the system; and numerical experimentation verifies that it has much wider applicability. The method is also validated against the approach of Spence. The advantage of the mixed LCP formulation is that it provides the radius of the inner adhesive circle directly using the physical parameters of the problem.  相似文献

The plane contact problem of the indentation of a rigid punch into a base-sucured elastic rectangle with stress-free sides is considered. The problem is solved by a method tested earlier and reduces to a system of two integral equations in functions describing the displacement of the surface of the rectangle outside the punch and the normal or shear stress on its base. These functions are sought in the form of the sum of trigonometric series and an exponential function with a root singularity. The ill-posed infinite systems of algebraic equations obtained as a result of this are regularized by introducing small positive parameters. Because the matrix elements of the systems, and also the contact stresses, are defined by poorly converging numerical and functional series, the previously developed method of summation of these series is used. The contact pressure distribution and the dimensionless indenting force are found. Examples of a plane punch calculation are given.  相似文献

The problem considered here is that of the sudden applicationof a constant force to the surface of a homogeneous, isotropicelastic half-space. The case of a normally applied force isconsidered under axially-symmetric conditions. This force isassumed to be either concentrated at a point or distributedover a circular disc. The method of solution is based on theuse of integral transforms and differs in some respects frommethods previously used for this type of problem. The displacementsat all points of the solid are calculated in terms of finiteintegrals. These integrals are evaluated numerically for selectedinterior points of the half-space for point loading, and forpoints on the axis of symmetry in the case of distributed loading.An expansion of the integrals which is valid for large valuesof the time is also obtained.  相似文献

We study the concentration of stresses due to two boundary defects located in an elastic half-space with stress-free boundary loaded at infinity with a constant shear load. The problem is reduced to solving singular integral equations for the cases in which the half-space contains defects of different types: two cracks, two inclusions, and a crack and an inclusion, whose solutions are sought by the method of mechanical quadratures. Nonlinear effects in the propagation, reflection, and refraction of one-dimensional pulses in a medium consisting of two layers lying on a half-space are considered and analyzed. Properties of layers and of the half-space are different, and stresses are defined by an expansion in powers of strains. The initial pulse of finite duration is specified in the form of boundary condition at the surface of the external layer either for the deformation or for the dislocation rate, and the problem of wave pattern when the initial pulse amplitude tends to zero,i.e. in the case of small nonlinear effects, is solved.Problem is solved by the method of successive integration of nonhomogeneous linear wave equations, in which the solution of the linear problem is taken as the first approximation and the subsequent approximations are derived by approximating the nonlinear terms with the use of the preceding approximation.  相似文献

In our paper we investigated the initial-boundary value problem for elastic layer situated on half space of another elastic medium. In this medium the thermomechanical interactions were taken into consideration. The system of equations with initial-boundary conditions describes the phenomenon of wave propagation with finite speed. In our problem there are two surfaces ie. free surface and contact surface between layer and half space. On the free surface are setting boundary conditions for normal and tangent surface force. We consider two types of contact between layer and half-space: rigid contact and slip contact. The initial-boundary value problem was solved by using integral transformations and Cagniard-de Hoope methods. From the solution of this problem follows that in layer and half space exist some kind of thermoelastic waves. We investigated moreover the conditions which should be fullfiled for propagation of Rayleigh and Love's type waves on the contact surface between layers and half space. Harmonic vibrations of a piezoceramic half-space weakened by a tunnel hole with a system of active surface electrodes are investigated. Based on integral representations for solutions to two types of conditions on the boundary of the half-space, the boundary-value problem of electroelasticity is reduced to a system of singular integrodifferential equations of the second kind. The results of parametric investigations characterizing the behavior of the electroelastic field components on the boundary and in the region of a piecewise-homogeneous half-space are presented.  相似文献

The problem on the reflection of the field of a plane H-polarized three-dimensional electromagnetic wave from a perfectly conducting interface between media which contains a local perfectly conducting inhomogeneity is considered. To construct a numerical algorithm, the boundary value problem for the system of Maxwell equations in an infinite domain with irregular boundary is reduced to a system of singular integral equations, which is solved by the approximation–collocation method. The elements of the resulting complex matrix are calculated by a specially developed algorithm. The solution of the system of singular integral equations is used to obtain an integral representation for the reflected electromagnetic field and computational formulas for the directional diagram of the reflected electromagnetic field in the far region.  相似文献

The problem of a viscoelastic cylinder rolling on a rigid base, propelled by a line force acting at its centre, is solved in the noninertial approximation. The method used is based on a decomposition of hereditary integrals developed by the authors in previous work, and on the viscoelastic Kolosov-Muskhelishvili equations which are used to generate a Hilbert problem. In this formulation, the problem reduces to a nonsingular integral equation in space and time, which simplifies under steady-state conditions and for exponential decay materials, to algebraic form. There are also two subsidiary conditions.In the case of a standard linear model, explicit analytic results and numerical examples are given for the pressure function, for surface displacements, and also for hysteretic friction.  相似文献
