Reaction of Co(NCS)(2) with pyridine (pyr) in aqueous solution at room temperature leads to the formation of the pyridine-rich 1:4 compound of composition [Co(NCS)(2)(pyridine)(4)] (1) reported recently. On heating, the pyridine-rich 1:4 compound transforms into its corresponding pyridine-deficient 1:2 compound of composition [Co(NCS)(2)(pyridine)(2)](n) (2), which decomposes on further heating. In the crystal structure of compound 2 the metal cations are coordinated by four N-atoms of two pyridine ligands and two N-bonded thiocyanato anions, each in mutually trans orientation, and by two S-atoms of two adjacent thiocyanato anions in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The thiocyanato anions bridge the metal cations forming one-dimensional polymeric chains. IR spectroscopic investigations on the pyridine-deficient 1:2 compound prepared in thermal decomposition are in accordance with bridging thiocyanato anions. Magnetic measurements of the pyridine-rich 1:4 compound and pyridine-deficient 1:2 compound reveal different behaviour with Curie-Weiss paramagnetism for compound 1 and single chain magnetic behaviour for compound 2, with a Mydosh-parameter φ = 0.12 and an effective energy barrier (-U(eff)/k(B)) of 62.5 K for the spin relaxation.  相似文献

Reaction of FeCl(2)·4H(2)O with KNCSe and pyridine in ethanol leads to the formation of the discrete complex [Fe(NCSe)(2)(pyridine)(4)] (1) in which the Fe(II) cations are coordinated by two N-terminal-bonded selenocyanato anions and four pyridine co-ligands. Thermal treatment of compound 1 enforces the removal of half of the co-ligands leading to the formation of a ligand-deficient (lacking on neutral co-ligands) intermediate of composition [Fe(NCSe)(2)(pyridine)(2)](n) (2) to which we have found no access in the liquid phase. Compound 2 is obtained only as a microcrystalline powder, but it is isotypic to [Cd(NCSe)(2)(pyridine)(2)](n) and therefore, its structure was determined by Rietveld refinement. In its crystal structure the metal cations are coordinated by two pyridine ligands and four selenocyanato anions and are linked into chains by μ-1,3 bridging anionic ligands. Magnetic measurements on compound 1 show only paramagnetic behavior, whereas for compound 2 an unexpected magnetic behavior is found, which to the best of our knowledge was never observed before for a iron(II) homospin compound. In this compound metamagnetism and single-chain magnetic behavior coexist. The metamagnetic transition between the antiferromagnetically ordered phase and a field-induced ferromagnetic phase of the high-spin iron(II) spin carriers is observed at a transition field H(C) of 1300 Oe and the single-chain magnetic behavior is characterized by a blocking temperature T(B), estimated to be about 5 K.  相似文献

Reaction of transition-metal dicyanamides with pyridazine leads to the formation of the ligand-rich 1 : 2 (1 : 2 = ratio between metal salt and organic co-ligand) compounds [M(dca)(2)(pydz)(2)](n) (dca = dicyanamide, pydz = pyridazine) with M = Mn (1-Mn), Fe (1-Fe), Co (1-Co), Ni (1-Ni). In their crystal structures linear polymeric M-(dca)(2)-M chains are found, in which the M(ii) cations are μ-1,5 bridged by the dca anions. The pydz ligands are terminally N-bonded to the cations, which are octahedrally coordinated by two pydz ligands and four dca anions. On heating these precursor compounds, 1-Mn, 1-Fe and 1-Co transform quantitatively into new ligand-deficient 1 : 1 intermediate compounds of composition [M(dca)(2)(pydz)](n) with M = Mn (2-Mn), Fe (2-Fe) and Co (2-Co). Investigations by IR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray structure analysis, show that the intermediates form a more condensed layered structure in which half of the pristine μ-1,5 bridged dca anions become μ-1,3,5 bridging. This structural transformation is accompanied by a pronounced change of their magnetic properties: whereas the ligand-rich 1 : 2 compounds show only Curie-Weiss paramagnetism, the ligand-deficient 1 : 1 intermediates show either antiferro- or ferromagnetic ordering at lower temperatures mediated by the three-atom pathway of the μ-1,3,5 bridging dca anions.  相似文献

Reaction of CdII and ZnII thiocyanate with 3‐acetylpyridine leads to the formation of the new CdII and ZnII coordination compounds [Cd(NCS)2(3‐acetylpyridine)4] ( 1A ), [Cd(NCS)2(3‐acetylpyridine)2]n ( 1B ), [Cd(NCS)2(3‐acetylpyridine)]n ( 1C ) and [Zn(NCS)2(3‐acetylpyridine)2] ( 2A ). Compound 1A consists of discrete complexes, in which the metal centers are octahedrally coordinated by four terminal bonded N‐donor co‐ligands and two terminal N‐bonded thiocyanato anions. In compound 2A the metal centers are only tetrahedrally coordinated by two terminal bonded N‐donor co‐ligands and two terminal N‐bonded thiocyanato anions. In compound 1B the CdII cations are octahedrally coordinated by two terminal bonded N‐donor co‐ligands and four thiocyanato anions. The metal centers are linked by μ‐1, 3 bridging thiocyanato anions into chains. In compound 1C the metal cations are octahedrally coordinated by two μ‐1, 5 bridging 3‐acetyl‐pyridine ligands and four μ‐1, 3 bridging thiocyanato anions building up a three‐dimensional coordination network. Investigations on the thermal degradation behavior of all compounds using simultaneous differential thermoanalysis and thermogravimetry as well as X‐ray powder diffraction and IR spectroscopy prove that on heating compound 2A decompose without the formation of 3‐acetylpyridine‐deficient intermediates. In contrast, for compound 1A a stepwise decomposition is observed, leading to the formation of the 3‐acetylpyridine‐deficient compound [Cd(NCS)2(3‐acetylpyridine)2]n ( 1B ) which decomposes on further heating  相似文献

Reaction of iron(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) selenocyanate with pyrazine in water at room temperature leads to the formation of the isotypic new ligand‐rich 1:2 (1:2 = ratio between metal and co‐ligand) compounds [M(NCSe)2(pyrazine)2]n (M = Fe ( 1 ), Co ( 2 ), Ni ( 3 )). The crystal structure of 2 was determined by X‐ray single crystal analysis and those of 1 and 3 were refined from X‐ray powder data with the Rietveld method. In their crystal structure the metal(II) cations are coordinated by four pyrazine co‐ligands, which connect them into layers, and two terminally N‐bonded selenocyanato anions in a distorted octahedral arrangement. The terminal coordination mode of the selenocyanato anions was further emphasized by IR spectroscopic investigations. On heating, all compounds decompose in a single heating step without the formation of ligand‐deficient intermediates like previously reported for related thiocyanato compounds. Magnetic measurements of compound 1 show a long‐range antiferromagnetic ordering with an ordering temperature of TN = 6.7 K, which must be mediated by the aromatic π‐system of the pyrazine ligand, whereas 2 and 3 show only Curie–Weiss behavior with antiferromagnetic exchange interactions.  相似文献

Using two 4-substitued triazole ligands, 4-(pyrid-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (L(1)) and 4-(pyrid-3-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (L(2)), a series of novel triazole-cadmium(II) complexes varying from zero- to three-dimensional have been prepared and their crystal structures determined via single-crystal X-ray diffraction. [Cd(2)(micro(2)-L(1))(3)(L(1))(2)(NO(3))(mu(2)-NO(3))(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2).1.75H(2)O (1) is a binuclear complex containing bidendate, monodedate and free nitrate anions. When the bridging anions SCN(-) and dca (dca = N(CN)(2)(-)) were added to the reaction system of 1, one-dimensional (1D) [Cd(L(1))(2)(NCS)(2)](n) (2) and two-dimensional (2D) [Cd(L(1))(2)(dca)(2)](n) (3) were isolated, respectively. When L(2) instead of L(1) was used, [Cd(L(2))(2)(NCS)(2)(H(2)O)(2)] (4) and 1D [Cd(L(2))(2)(dca)(2)](n) (5) were obtained. When the ratio of Cd to L(2) was changed from 1:2 to 1:1 in the reaction system of 5, three-dimensional (3D) {[Cd(3)(micro(2)-L(2))(3)(dca)(6)].0.75H(2)O}(n) (6) with 1D microporous channels along the a direction was isolated. Further investigations on other Cd(ii) salts and the L(2) ligand in a Cd to L(2) ratio of 1:1, an unexpected complex [Cd(mu(2)-L(2))(mu(3)-SO(4))(H(2)O)](n) (7) with a 3D open framework was obtained. All of the complexes exhibit strong blue fluorescence emission bands in the solid state at ambient temperature, of which the excitation and emission maxima are red-shifted to longer wavelength as compared to those in water. Powder X-ray diffraction and thermal studies were used to investigate the bulk nature of the 3D coordination polymers 6 and 7.  相似文献

A methodology for the design of polar, inorganic structures is demonstrated here with the packing of lambda (Λ)-shaped basic building units (BBUs). Noncentrosymmetric (NCS) solids with interesting physical properties can be created with BBUs that lack an inversion center and are likely to pack into a polar configuration; previous methods to construct these solids have used NCS octahedra as BBUs. Using this methodology to synthesize NCS solids, one must increase the coordination of the NCS octahedra with maintenance of the noncentrosymmetry of the bulk. The first step in this progression from an NCS octahedron to an inorganic NCS solid is the formation of a bimetallic BBU. This step is exemplified with the compound CuVOF(4)(H(2)O)(7): this compound, presented here, crystallizes in an NCS structure with ordered, isolated [Cu(H(2)O)(5)](2+) cations and [VOF(4)(H(2)O)](2-) anions into Λ-shaped, bimetallic BBUs to form CuVOF(4)(H(2)O)(6)·H(2)O, owing to the Jahn-Teller distortion of Cu(2+). Conversely, the centrosymmetric heterotypes with the same formula MVOF(4)(H(2)O)(7) (M(II) = Co, Ni, and Zn) exhibit ordered, isolated [VOF(4)(H(2)O)](2-) and [M(H(2)O)(6)](2+) ionic species in a hydrogen bond network. CuVOF(4)(H(2)O)(7) exhibits a net polar moment while the heterotypes do not; this demonstrates that Λ-shaped BBUs give a greater probability for and, in this case, lead to NCS structures.  相似文献

Reactions of Cd(NO(3))(2)·4H(2)O with TabHPF(6) (TabH = 4-(trimethylammonio)benzenethiol) and Et(3)N in the presence of NH(4)SCN and five other N-donor ligands such as 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bipy), phenanthroline (phen), 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (2,9-dmphen), 2,6-bis(pyrazd-3-yl)pyridine (bppy) and 2,6-bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)pyridine (bdmppy) gave rise to a family of Cd(II)/thiolate complexes of N-donor ligands, {[Cd(2)(μ-Tab)(4)(NCS)(2)](NO(3))(2)·MeOH}(n) (1), [Cd(2)(μ-Tab)(2)(L)(4)](PF(6))(4) (2: L = 2,2'-bipy; 3: L = phen), [Cd(Tab)(2)(L)](PF(6))(2) (4: L = 2,9-dmphen; 5: L = bppy), and [Cd(2)(μ-Tab)(2)(Tab)(2)(bdmppy)](2)(PF(6))(8)·H(2)O (6·H(2)O). These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra, (1)H NMR, electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. For 1, each [Cd(NCS)](+) fragment is connected to its equivalents via a pair of Tab bridges to a one-dimensional chain. For 2 and 3, two [Cd(2,2'-bipy)(2)](2+) or [Cd(phen)(2)](2+) units are linked by a pair of Tab bridges to form a cationic dimeric structure. The Cd atom in [Cd(Tab)(2)(L)](2+) dication of 4 or 5 is coordinated by two Tab ligands and chelated by two N atoms from 2,9-dmphen (4) or three N atoms from bppy (5), forming a distorted tetrahedral (4) or trigonal bipyramidal (5) coordination geometry. For 6, each of two [Cd(Tab)(bdmppy)] fragments is linked to one [(Tab)Cd(μ-Tab)(2)Cd(Tab)] fragment via two Tab bridges to generate a unique cationic zigzag tetrameric structure where the Cd centers take a tetrahedral or a trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometry. The results may provide an interesting insight into mimicking the coordination spheres of the Cd(II) sites of metallothioneins and their interactions with various N-donor ligands encountered in nature.  相似文献

Reaction of different ratios of manganese(II) thiocyanate with pyridazine in water at room temperature leads always to the formation of the pyridazine‐rich 1:4 compound (1:4 = ratio between metal and neutral co‐ligand) Mn(NCS)2(pyridazine)4 ( 1 ). In the crystal structure of 1 , the Mn2+ cations are coordinated by two nitrogen atoms of terminal N‐bonded thiocyanato anions and four nitrogen atoms of pyridazine ligands within slightly distorted octahedra. However, in one reaction single crystals of the new compound Mn3(NCS)6(pyridazine)4(H2O) · (pyridazine) ( 2 ) were obtained. In its crystal structure the manganese atoms are linked into chains by µ‐1, 3 and µ‐1, 1 bridging thiocyanato anions as well as bridging pyridazine ligands. Heating rate dependent DTA‐TG measurements of 1 reveal a multi‐step thermal decomposition, in which three new pyridazine‐deficient compounds of composition Mn(NCS)2(pyridazine)3 ( 3 ), Mn(NCS)2(pyridazine)2 ( 4 ) and Mn(NCS)2(pyridazine) ( 5‐Mn ) are formed. IR‐spectroscopic investigations indicate that on heating more condensed coordination networks with µ‐1, 3‐ and µ‐1, 1‐bridging thiocyanato anions has formed. Magnetic measurements show only Curie‐Weiss paramagnetism for compounds 1 , 3 and 4 , whereas in the 1:1 compound 5 an antiferromagnetic ordering is observed at TN = 14 K. Surprisingly, the most pyridazine deficient compound 5 transforms into 2 after storage for several weeks.  相似文献

The reactions of Cd(NO3)2·4H2O with NH4SCN and 2,4‐dpa (2,4‐dpa = 2,4‐dipyridineamine) in CH3OH afforded the one‐dimensional coordination polymer [Cd(NCS)2(2,4‐dpa)2]n, 1 , while reaction of Cd(NO3)2·4H2O with NH4SCN and PmPa (PmPa = 2‐(1‐piperazinyl)pyrimidine) in CH3OH gave complex of the type [Cd(NCS)2(PmPa)2]n, 2. Each of the 2,4‐dpa ligand in complex 1 is coordinated to the Cd2+ metal center through pyridyl nitrogen atoms to form the one‐dimensional chain structures. The distorted {CdN4S2} octahedral coordination geometry around Cd2+ center is completed by pairs of bidentate thiocyanato ligands. Complex 2 has the 1‐D arrangement constructed through one‐dimensional double μ(N,S) end‐to‐end bridging thiocyanato groups bridged Cd(II) chains interconnected through PmPa ligands.  相似文献

Self-assemblies of rigid angular ligands with 120 degrees molecular angle and metal centers have been investigated with the aim of achieving the rational construction and modification of coordination polymer structures. The reactions of Co(NCS)(2) with 1,3-bis(trans-4-styrylpyridyl)benzene (L(1)()), 2,6-bis(trans-4-styrylpyridyl)pyridine (L(2)()), 1,3-bis(trans-4-styrylpyrimidyl)benzene (L(3)()), and 1,3-bis(trans-4-styrylquinoly)benzene (L(4)()) afford complexes [Co(L(1)())(2)(NCS)(2)]( infinity ) (1), [Co(L(2)())(2)(NCS)(2)]( infinity ) (2), Co(L(3)())(2)(NCS)(2)(CH(3)OH)(2) (3), and [Co(L(4)())(NCS)(2)]( infinity ) (4), respectively. The resulting complexes exhibit open framework, stairlike hydrogen-bonded chain and single-stranded helical coil structures, which are controlled by the variation of the geometry around the coordination site in ligands. Moreover, the coordination of L(1)() and L(2)() to Mn(hfac)(2) (hfac = 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoroacetylacetonate) yields single-stranded helical coordination polymers of [Mn(L(1)())(hfac)(2)]( infinity ) (5) and [Mn(L(2)())(hfac)(2)]( infinity ) (6), respectively.  相似文献

The generation of metal cyanide ions in the gas phase by laser ablation of M(CN)(2) (M = Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Hg), Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O, Ag(3)[M(CN)(6)] (M = Fe, Co), and Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)] has been investigated using Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry. Irradiation of Zn(CN)(2) and Cd(CN)(2) produced extensive series of anions, [Zn(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (1 < or = n < or = 27) and [Cd(n)(CN)(2n+1)](-) (n = 1, 2, 8-27, and possibly 29, 30). Cations Hg(CN)(+) and [Hg(2)(CN)(x)](+) (x = 1-3), and anions [Hg(CN)(x)](-) (x = 2, 3), are produced from Hg(CN)(2). Irradiation of Fe(III)[Fe(III)(CN)(6)] x xH(2)O gives the anions [Fe(CN)(2)](-), [Fe(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(3)](-), [Fe(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Fe(2)(CN)(5)](-). When Ag(3)[Fe(CN)(6)] is ablated, [AgFe(CN)(4)](-) and [Ag(2)Fe(CN)(5)](-) are observed together with homoleptic anions of Fe and Ag. The additional heterometallic complexes [AgFe(2)(CN)(6)](-), [AgFe(3)(CN)(8)](-), [Ag(2)Fe(2)(CN)(7)](-), and [Ag(3)Fe(CN)(6)](-) are observed on ablation of Ag(2)[Fe(CN)(5)(NO)]. Homoleptic anions [Co(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(2)(CN)(4)](-), and [Co(3)(CN)(5)](-) are formed when anhydrous Co(CN)(2) is the target. Ablation of Ag(3)[Co(CN)(6)] yields cations [Ag(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n)](+) (n = 1, 2) and anions [Ag(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3), [Co(n)(CN)(n-1)](-) (n = 1, 2), [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+2)](-) (n = 1, 2), and [Ag(n)Co(CN)(n+3)](-) (n = 0-2). The Ni(I) species [Ni(n)(CN)(n-1)](+) (n = 1-4) and [Ni(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) (n = 1-3) are produced when anhydrous Ni(CN)(2) is irradiated. In all cases, CN(-) and polyatomic carbon nitride ions C(x)N(y)(-) are formed concurrently. On the basis of density functional calculations, probable structures are proposed for most of the newly observed species. General structural features are low coordination numbers, regular trigonal coordination stereochemistry for d(10) metals but distorted trigonal stereochemistry for transition metals, the occurrence of M-CN-M and M(-CN-)(2)M bridges, addition of AgCN to terminal CN ligands, and the occurrence of high spin ground states for linear [M(n)(CN)(n+1)](-) complexes of Co and Ni.  相似文献

Reaction of copper(II) tetrazolate-5-carboxylate with different neutral N-donor spacer ligands under hydrothermal conditions leads to the formation of five new coordination polymers, [Cu(tzc)(pyz)(0.5)(H(2)O)(2)](n)·H(2)O (1), [Cu(tzc)(pyz)](n) (2), [Cu(tzc)(pym)(H(2)O)](n) (3), [Cu(tzc)(dpe)(0.5)(H(2)O)](n) (4) and [Cu(tzc)(azpy)(0.5)(H(2)O)](n) (5) (tzc = tetrazolate-5-carboxylate, pyz = pyrazine, pym = pyrimidine, dpe = 1,2-di(4-pyridyl)ethylene and azpy = 4,4'-azopyridine). All five structures were characterized by X-ray single-crystal measurements and bulk material can be prepared phase pure in high yields. The crystal structures of the hydrates 1, 3, 4 and 5 show dimeric [Cu(2)(N(tzc)-N(tzc))(2)] building units formed by μ(2)-N1,O1:N2 bridging tzc ligands as the characteristic structural motif. These six-membered entities in 1, 4 and 5 are connected by μ(2)-N,N' bridging N-donor ligands into 1D chains and in 3 into 2D layers. In the crystal structure of compound 2 adjacent Cu(II) cations are connected by μ(2)-N1,O1:N4,O2 bridging tzc ligands into chains, which are further connected by μ(2)-N,N' bridging pyz ligands forming 2D layers. Extensive hydrogen bonds in all compounds play an important role in the construction of their supramolecular networks. Investigations of their thermal properties reveal water release upon heating according to the formation of anhydrates before starting decomposing above 220 °C. Furthermore, the magnetic properties have been studied leading to consistent global antiferromagnetic exchange interactions with coupling constants of J = 3 ± 1 cm(-1) and long-range antiferromagnetic ordering states at lower temperatures.  相似文献

Reaction of nickel(II) thiocyanate and pyridazine (pdz) as organic spacer ligand leads to the formation of the ligand‐rich 1:2 (1:2 = metal to ligand ratio) trinuclear nickel(II) complex of composition [Ni3(NCS)6(pdz)6]. Depending on the reaction solvent, different polymorphic modifications are obtained: Reaction in acetonitrile leads to the formation of the new modification 1I and reaction in ethanol leads to the formation of modification 1II reported recently. In their crystal structures discrete [Ni3(NCS)6(pdz)6] units are found, in which each of the Ni2+ cations exhibits a NiN6 distorted octahedral arrangement. The central Ni2+ cation is coordinated by four bridging pdz ligands and two thiocyanato anions in trans positions. Both thiocyanato anions exhibit the end‐on bridging mode. The peripheral Ni2+ cations are bridged by one thiocyanato anion and by two pdz ligands with the central Ni2+ cation. Further they are coordinated by two terminal N‐bonded thiocyanato anions and one terminal N‐bonded pdz ligand. The structure of 1I was determined by X‐ray single crystal structure investigation and emphasized by infrared spectroscopy. Magnetic measurements revealed a quasi Curie behavior with net ferromagnetic interactions for 1I and net antiferromagnetic interactions for 1II . Solvent‐mediated conversion experiments clearly show that modification 1I represents the thermodynamic most stable form at room temperature and that modification 1II is metastable. On thermal decomposition, both modification transform quantitatively in a new ligand‐deficient intermediate. Elemental analysis revealed a 3:4 compound of composition [Ni3(NCS)6(pdz)4]. A structure model supported by IR spectroscopic investigations was assumed, in which three coordination modes of the thiocyanato anion exist, resulting in a 2D polymeric network.  相似文献

The binding of group 12 metal ions to bis(2-methylpyridyl) sulfide (1) was investigated by X-ray crystallography and NMR. Seven structures of the chloride and perchlorate salts of Hg(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II) with 1 are reported. Hg(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2), Cd(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2), and Zn(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN form mononuclear, six-coordinate species in the solid state with 1 binding in a tridentate coordination mode. Hg(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2) has a distorted trigonal prismatic coordination geometry while Cd(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2) and Zn(1)(2)(ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN have distorted octahedral geometries. With chloride anions, the 1:1 metal to ligand complexes Hg(1)Cl(2), [Cd(1)Cl(2)](2), and Zn(1)Cl(2) are formed. A bidentate binding mode that lacks thioether coordination is observed for 1 in the four-coordinate, distorted tetrahedral complexes Zn(1)Cl(2) and Hg(1)Cl(2). [Cd(1)Cl(2)](2) is dimeric with a distorted octahedral coordination geometry and a tridentate 1. Hg(1)Cl(2) is comprised of pairs of loosely associated monomers and Zn(1)Cl(2) is monomeric. In addition, Hg(2)(1)Cl(4) is formed with alternating chloride and thioether bridges. The distorted square pyramidal Hg(II) centers result in a supramolecular zigzagging chain in the solid state. The solution (1)H NMR spectra of [Hg(1)(2)](2+) and [Hg(1)(NCCH(3))(x)()](2+) reveal (3)(-)(5)J((199)Hg(1)H) due to slow ligand exchange found in these thioether complexes. Implications for use of Hg(II) as a metallobioprobe are discussed.  相似文献

The reaction of metal ions, flexible aliphatic dicarboxylates and rigid bidentate linear ligands under mild conditions in water afford four novel metal-organic coordination polymers, [Cd(mu-mal)(mu-pyz)(0.5)(H(2)O)](n) 1 (mal = malonate dianion, pyz = pyrazine), [Cd(2)(mu-suc)(2)(mu-pyz)(H(2)O)(2)](n) 2 (suc = succinate dianion), and ([M(mu-bipy)(H(2)O)4][suc].4H(2)O)(n)(M = Co, 3, M = Zn, 4, bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine). The molecular structures of 1-4 have been established by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. 1 is a 3D network being composed of layers of octahedrally coordinated Cd atoms bridged by malonate anions in syn-anti configurations within the layers and pyz molecules between layers. Unlike that in 1, each Cd atom in 2 displays uncommon pentagonal-bipyramidal geometry to form 2D infinite grid sheets with square grid dimensions of ca. 7.936 x 7.936 [Angstrom]. Both 3 and 4 exhibit 1D linear -M-bipy-M-bipy- chain polymers, and these chains were packed as ...ABCABC... layered structures. The bridging succinate ligands in 2 adopt the syn-anti mode with a torsion angle of 60.8(7) degrees, while the solvated succinate ligands in 3 and 4 adopt the anti-anti mode with a torsion angle of 180.0 degrees. To our knowledge, compound 2 represents the first example of flexible self-assembled succinate-pyrazine mixed bridging ligand coordination network. 3 and 4 are the first two cases of succinate-bipy polymers with non-coordinated succinate. The magnetic behavior for 3 was studied in the temperature range of 5-300 K. The result indicates the occurrence of a weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the cobalt(II) ions.  相似文献

Self-assembly between simple unsymmetrical ligands, such as 1-(3-pyridyl)-2-(4-pyridyl)ethene (L(1)) and 1-methyl-1'-(3-pyridyl)-2-(4-pyrimidyl)ethene (L(2)), and Co(NCS)(2) affords the unprecedented two-dimensional grid coordination polymers [Co(L(1))(2)(NCS)(2)](infinity) (1) and [Co(L(2))(2)(NCS)(2)](infinity) (2), respectively, with novel topological features which cannot be achieved using symmetrically bridging ligands.  相似文献

The assembly of Co(NCS)(2) with 1-methyl-1'-(3-pyridyl)-2-(4-pyridyl)ethene (L(1)) exhibits a novel supramolecular isomerism of [Co(L(1))(2)(NCS)(2)](infinity) caused by different placement orientation of L(1) around metal centers. The reaction in MeOH/H(2)O and EtOH/H(2)O resulted in a double chain structure of 1, and that in EtOH/CH(3)NO(2) led to an open framework structure of 2. The reaction in MeOH/CH(3)NO(2) solvent system concomitantly afforded 1 and 2. The assemblies of 1-(3-pyridyl)-2-(4-pyrimidyl)ethene (L(2)) with Co(NCS)(2) created the water-coordinated complexes of Co(L(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(NCS)(2) (3 and 4), an MeOH coordinated complex of Co(L(2))(2)(H(2)O)(2)(NCS)(2) (5), and an open framework coordination polymer of [Co(L(1))(2)(NCS)(2)](infinity) (6) depending on the reaction solvent system. From these observations, it is suggested that in the formation of 1, the solvent-coordinated intermediate species would be generated first and its trans coordination configuration should define the placement orientation of L(1) in the resulting polymer of 1. On the other hand, it is presumed that the solvent-coordinated intermediate would not be produced during the formation of 2 due to the weaker coordination ability of EtOH and CH(3)NO(2) molecules. The open framework coordination polymers of 2 and 6 are converted in the solid state into the isomeric coordination polymer of 1 and hydrogen bonded network structure of 3, respectively.  相似文献

A series of metal-organic complexes based on d(10) metals and the ligand H(4)bbh (H(4)bbh = benzene-1, 2, 4, 5-biformhydrazide), formed through hydrothermal in situ acylate reaction of H(4)bta (H(4)bta = benzene-1, 2, 4, 5-tetracarboxylic acid) with hydrazine hydrate (N(2)H(4)·H(2)O), have been prepared and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds [Zn(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(phen)(H(2)O)](2) (1) (phen = 1, 10-phenanthroline) and [Zn(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(2, 2'-bpy)](2) (2) (2, 2'-bpy = 2, 2'-bipyridine) are both dinuclear complexes in which bridging ligands H(2)bbh(2-) display different μ(2)- coordination modes. [Zn(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(1/2)(μ(2)-H(2)bbh)(1/2)(H(2)O)](n) (3) exhibits a two-dimensional (2-D) layer structure containing simultaneously two kinds of different coordination modes of H(2)bbh(2-): μ(2)-bidentate and μ(4)-tetradentate. [Cd(μ(3)-H(2)bbh)(phen)](n) (4) consists of one-dimensional (1-D) double-metal chains. The crystal structures of these compounds are stabilized by hydrogen bonds and π···π interactions, forming three-dimensional supramolecular networks. All of the compounds were characterized by IR, UV-vis spectra and elemental analysis and they show good fluorescence properties in the solid state at room temperature. In order to understand the emission mechanism, we carried out TDDFT calculations on the excited electronic states of compound 2.  相似文献

Reaction of M(SCN)2 (M = Mn, Fe, Ni) with pyridine (pyr) in aqueous solution at room temperature leads to the formation of the literature known pyridine-rich 1:4 compounds of composition [M(SCN)2(pyridine)4] (M = Mn (1-Mn), Fe (1-Fe), Ni (1-Ni)) reported recently. On heating, the 1:4 compounds decompose into their corresponding pyridine-deficient 1:2 compounds of composition [M(SCN)2(pyridine)2]n (M = Mn (2-Mn), Fe (2-Fe), Ni (2-Ni)) which decompose on further heating. In the crystal structure of the pyridine-deficient 1:2 compounds the metal cations are coordinated by four N-atoms of two pyridine ligands and two N-bonded thiocyanato anions, each in mutually trans orientation, and by two S-atoms of two adjacent thiocyanato anions in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The thiocyanato anions bridge the metal cations into one-dimensional (1D) polymeric chains. IR spectroscopic investigations on the pyridine-deficient 1:2 compounds are in agreement with the presence of μ-1,3 bridging thiocyanato anions. Magnetic measurements of the pyridine-rich 1:4 compounds show only Curie-Weiss paramagnetism whereas for the pyridine-deficient 1:2 compounds an antiferromagnetic ordering for [Mn(NCS)2(pyridine)2]n (2-Mn) and metamagnetic behavior for [Ni(NCS)2(pyridine)2]n (2-Ni) is found. For [Cu(NCS)2(pyridine)2]n (2-Cu) Curie-Weiss paramagnetic behavior is observed. [Fe(NCS)2(pyridine)2]n (2-Fe) shows metamagnetic behavior, which was already investigated but remeasured for a more detailed characterization.  相似文献
