A Note on Sequences with the Shift and Add Property

A sequence of elements from a finite field satisfies the shift and add property if the componentwise sum of any two shifts of the sequence is either a shift of the sequence or the all zero sequence. A sequence whose elements lie in an arbitrary group satisfies the shift and multiply property if the componentwise product of any two shifts of the sequence is either a shift of the sequence or the all identity sequence. The paper classifies sequences which have the shift and add property or the shift and multiply property.     

A Covering Lemma on the Unit Sphere and Application to the Fourier-Laplace Convergence

A covering lemma on the unit sphere is established and then is applied to establish an almost everywhere convergence test of Marcinkiewicz type for the Fourier-Laplace series on the unit sphere which can be stated as follows： Theorem Suppose f ∈ L（En-1）, n≥ 3. If f satisfies the condition 1/θ^n-1∫D（x,θ）｜f（y）-f（x）｜dy=O（1/｜logθ｜）,as θ→0＋, at every point x in a set E of positive measure in Σn-1, then the Cesàro means of critical order ,n-2/2 of the Fourier-Laplace series of f converge to f at almost every point x in E.

A Theorem of Nehari Type on the Bergman Space

In this paper we concern with the characterization of bounded linear operators $S$ acting on the weighted Bergman spaces on the unit ball. It is shown that, if $S$ satisfies the commutation relation $ST_{z_i} = T_{\overline{z}_i}S(i = 1, · · · , n)$, where $T_{z_i} = z_if$ and $T_{\overline{z}_i} = P(\overline{z}_if)$ where $P$ is the weighted Bergman projection, then $S$ must be a Hankel operator.     

Note on the Essential Norm of Composition Operators from HP（BN） to Hq（BN）

The authors give an upper bound of the essential norms of composition operators between Hardy spaces of the unit ball in terms of the counting function in the higher dimensional value distribution theory defined by Professor S.S.Chern.The sufcient condition for such operators to be bounded or compact is also given.     

A New Estimate for Bochner-Riesz Operators at the Critical Index on Weighted Hardy Spaces

Let w be a Muckenhoupt weight and Hwp （JRn） be the weighted Hardy space. In this paper, by using the atomic decomposition of Hwp（Rn）, we will show that the Bochner-Riesz operators TRδ are bounded from Hwp（Rn） to the weighted weak Hardy spaces WHwp （Rn） for 0 〈 p 〈 1 and δ = n/p- （n ＋ 1）/2. This result is new even in the unweighted case.     

A Note on the Paper

In this paper, we point out a fault in Theorem B in [1], generalize Hua-Wang type inequalities given by Theorem A in [1], and prove them by using elementary mean value inequalities. It also makes the improved Theorem B its corollary.     

A Note on a Remez-Type Inequality for Trigonometric Polynomials

We obtain sharp bounds, in the uniform norm along the unit circle , of exponentials of logarithmic potentials, if the logarithmic capacity of the subset of , where they are at most 1, is known.     

A Note on Ultrametric Matrices

It is proved in this paper that special generalized ultrametric and special matrices are, in a sense, extremal matrices in the boundary of the set of generalized ultrametric and matrices, respectively. Moreover, we present a new class of inverse M-matrices which generalizes the class of matrices.
