In this paper, a general system of nonlinear variational inequality problem in Banach spaces was considered, which includes some existing problems as special cases. For solving this nonlinear variational inequality problem, we construct two methods which were inspired and motivated by Korpelevich’s extragradient method. Furthermore, we prove that the suggested algorithms converge strongly to some solutions of the studied variational inequality.  相似文献

We introduce variational inequalities defined in non-pivot Hilbert spaces and we show some existence results. Then, we prove regularity results for weighted variational inequalities in non-pivot Hilbert space. These results have been applied to the weighted traffic equilibrium problem. The continuity of the traffic equilibrium solution allows us to present a numerical method to solve the weighted variational inequality that expresses the problem. In particular, we extend the Solodov-Svaiter algorithm to the variational inequalities defined in finite-dimensional non-pivot Hilbert spaces. Then, by means of a interpolation, we construct the solution of the weighted variational inequality defined in a infinite-dimensional space. Moreover, we present a convergence analysis of the method.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new system of general variational inequalities in Banach spaces. We establish the equivalence between this system of variational inequalities and fixed point problems involving the nonexpansive mapping. This alternative equivalent formulation is used to suggest and analyze a modified extragradient method for solving the system of general variational inequalities. Using the demi-closedness principle for nonexpansive mappings, we prove the strong convergence of the proposed iterative method under some suitable conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce and consider some new systems of extended general variational inclusions involving seven different operators. Using the resolvent operator technique, we show that the new systems of extended general variational inclusions are equivalent to the fixed point problems. This equivalent formulation is used to suggest and analyze some new iterative methods for this system of extended general variational inclusions. We also study the convergence analysis of the new iterative method under certain mild conditions. Several special cases are also discussed. Results obtained in this paper can be viewed as pure mathematical contribution to variational analysis.  相似文献

The alternating direction method is an attractive method for solving large-scale variational inequality problems whenever the subproblems can be solved efficiently. However, the subproblems are still variational inequality problems, which are as structurally difficult to solve as the original one. To overcome this disadvantage, in this paper we propose a new alternating direction method for solving a class of nonlinear monotone variational inequality problems. In each iteration the method just makes an orthogonal projection to a simple set and some function evaluations. In this article, we consider a penalty finite element (FE) method for incompressible Navier‐Stokes type variational inequality with nonlinear damping term. First, we establish penalty variational formulation and prove the well‐posedness and convergence of this problem. Then we show the penalty FE scheme and derive some error estimates. Using the projection operator technique, we suggest and analyze some new explicit iterative methods for this system of variational inequalities. We also study the convergence analysis of the new iterative method under certain mild conditions. Since this new system includes the system of variational inequalities involving three operators, variational inequalities and related optimization problems as special cases, results obtained in this paper continue to hold for these problems. Inverse variational inequalities have broad applications in various disciplines, and some of them have very appealing structures. There are several algorithms (e.g., proximal point algorithms and projection-type algorithms) for solving the inverse variational inequalities in general settings, while few of them have fully exploited the special structures. In this paper, we consider a class of inverse variational inequalities that has a separable structure and linear constraints, which has its root in spatial economic equilibrium problems. To design an efficient algorithm, we develop an alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) based method by utilizing the separable structure. Under some mild assumptions, we prove its global convergence. We propose an improved variant that makes the subproblems much easier and derive the convergence result under the same conditions. Finally, we present the preliminary numerical results to show the capability and efficiency of the proposed methods.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a class of variational inequalities which is called the general mixed variational inequality. It is known that the general mixed variational inequalities are equivalent to the fixed point problems. This equivalent formulation is used to suggest and analyze some three-step iterative schemes for finding the common element of the set of fixed points of a nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the mixed variational inequalities. We also study the convergence criteria of three-step iterative method under some mild conditions. 交替方向法是求解可分离结构变分不等式问题的经典方法之一, 它将一个大型的变分不等式问题分解成若干个小规模的变分不等式问题进行迭代求解. 但每步迭代过程中求解的子问题仍然摆脱不了求解变分不等式子问题的瓶颈. 从数值计算上来说, 求解一个变分不等式并不是一件容易的事情.因此, 本文提出一种新的交替方向法, 每步迭代只需要求解一个变分不等式子问题和一个强单调的非线性方程组子问题. 相对变分不等式问题而言, 我们更容易、且有更多的有效算法求解一个非线性方程组问题. 在与经典的交替方向法相同的假设条件下, 我们证明了新算法的全局收敛性. 进一步的数值试验也验证了新算法的有效性.  相似文献

In this paper, using the penalty method in conjunction with graph-convergence, we study the existence of solutions for a class of generalized variational inequalities with variational problem constraints. Our results extend, improve and develop some known results in this field. We consider optimization methods for monotone variational inequality problems with nonlinear inequality constraints. First, we study the mixed complementarity problem based on the original problem. Then, a merit function for the mixed complementarity problem is proposed, and some desirable properties of the merit function are obtained. Through the merit function, the original variational inequality problem is reformulated as simple bounded minimization. Under certain assumptions, we show that any stationary point of the optimization problem is a solution of the problem considered. Finally, we propose a descent method for the variational inequality problem and prove its global convergence.  相似文献

It is well known that the general variational inequalities are equivalent to the fixed point problems and the Wiener-Hopf equations. In this paper, we use these alternative equivalent formulations to suggest and analyze some new self-adaptive iterative methods for solving the general variational inequalities. In this paper, we use parametric quintic splines to derive some consistency relations which are then used to develop a numerical method for computing the solution of a system of fourth-order boundary-value problems associated with obstacle, unilateral, and contact problems. It is known that a class of variational inequalities related to contact problems in elastostatics can be characterized by a sequence of variational inequations, which are solved using some numerical method. Numerical evidence is presented to show the applicability and superiority of the new method over other collocation, finite difference, and spline methods.  相似文献
