We investigate the nuclear shadowing effect on the K factor in the Drell-Yan process by introducing a Shadowing factor into the corresponding quantum chromodynamical αs order corrections.K factors for Au-Au collisions are calculated at the centre-of-mass system energies √s=60,130 and 200 GeV while the nuclear shadowing factor is taken into account.The numerical results indicate that the nuclear shadowing factor obviously raises the K value in the small x region,and for the same nucleon the K valus becomes smaller as the energy increases.The nuclear shadowing effect could be one reason for creating the non-constancy of the K factor.  相似文献

在不同能量下, 利用核束缚能对虚光子四动量的平方项进行修正, 分别计算了Sn核碰撞中核束缚能对反应截面中湮灭项和康普顿散射项及K因子的影响。 结果表明, 核束缚能在小x区域对反应截面中湮灭项和康普顿散射项及K因子的影响明显, 并且能量越低这种影响越显著, 随着x2增大影响逐渐消失。 We made a revision of square of virtual photon four momentum by means of using nuclear bin ding energy formula in different energy, and we also made an accurate calculation for the effect of nuclear binding energy on K factor and Compton term and annihilate term in the Drell Yan process of the Sn Sn collision. The outcome indicates that the effect of nuclear binding energy on the annihilate term and the Compton term is marked in little x region and the effect will become more obvious with decrease of the energy and come to disappear with increase of the x.  相似文献

高能重离子碰撞热核环境中J/ψ产额的压低被认为是夸克胶子等离子体生成的重要信号。研究冷核物质中各种核效应对J/ψ 形成过程的影响,是准确理解热核环境中核效应对J/ψ产额压低机制的重要途径。研究了质子-原子核碰撞J/ψ 产生过程中初态部分子分布函数的核效应、入射质子的能量损失效应、以及末态粲夸克对能量损失效应对J/ψ 粒子产额的压低作用,对质子-原子核碰撞J/ψ产生过程的微分截面比RFe/Be(xF)进行了领头阶的唯象分析,并与E866 实验数据中代表J/ψ粒子在靶核外产生的实验数据进行比较,获取了粲夸克对的能量损失值(3.81±1.71) GeV/fm。研究结果表明,部分子分布函数的核效应对截面比RFe=Be(xF) 的压低作用在xF > 0区域是随着xF 的增大而增大的;末态粲夸克对的能量损失效应是影响J= 粒子产额压低的重要核效应;当xF较大时(0:65≤xF≤0.92),初态入射质子的能量损失效应在对微分截面比RFe/Be(xF)的压低中起了主要作用。J/ψ suppression observed in hot nuclear matter from heavy-ion collisions is considered as a most reliable signature for the formation of Quark-Gluon Plasma. The study about the nuclear effects on J/ψ production in cold nuclear matter provides an important tool for clarifying the conventional nuclear suppression mechanism in heavy-ion collisions. J/ψ suppression in p-A collisions is studied by considering the nuclear effects on parton distribution, the energy loss of beam proton in initial state, and the finial state energy loss of c¯c pair.The leading-order computations for J/ψ production cross-section ratios RFe=Be(xF) are presented and compared with the selected E866 experimental data with the J/ψ production occurring outside the nucleus, the obtained energy loss of the color octet is (3.81±1.71) GeV/fm. It is found that the nuclear suppression from the nuclear effects on the parton distribution functions becomes larger as the increase of xF in the range xF > 0,the J/ψ suppression on RFe/Be(xF) induced by the energy loss of color octet c¯c is an important nuclear effect, in the region 0:656xF 60:92, the energy loss of beam proton in initial state is the dominant mechanism which causes a reduction of the J/ψ yield.  相似文献

在核密度模型基础之上利用原子核密度经验公式得到的核密度和利用电磁半径平方平均值得到的核密度分别计算了轻子 核深度非弹性散射过程中的核效应函数RHe/D(x, Q2), RLi/D(x, Q2), RC/Li(x, Q2), RCa/Li(x, Q2), 发现利用由原子核密度经验公式得到的核密度计算核效应函数所得结果与NMC实验数据符合得较好, 并且优于用后者方法计算核效应函数的理论结果, 从而说明利用原子核密度经验公式研究核子结构函数核效应的合理性。 The nuclear effect functions in l A DIS process RHe/D(x, Q2), RLi/D(x, Q2), RC/Li(x, Q2) and RCa/Li(x, Q2) are calculated on the basis of the nuclear density model by using nuclear densities obtained from an empirical formula or the experimental values of the electromagnetic mean of radius square 〈r2〉, respectively.It is shown that the nuclear effect functions obtained from the empirical formula are in good agreement with the NMC experimental data, and better than the later ones.The empirical formula of the nuclear density can be used to study the nuclear effect of nucleon structure functions reasonably.  相似文献

The jet photon conversion in hot quark gluon medium is a vital source of the thermal photon production. The jet converts into photons via the secondary Compton and annihilation processes in the quark gluon plasma. The gluon photons are also considered in the calculation of prompt photons which includes the effect of the shadowing and isospin of nucleus. By using a non-perturbative quark propagator with the lowest-dimensional condensate contributions from the QCD vacuum, the non-perturbative effect to K-factor of the Drell-Yan process is numerically investigated for 126C-126C collision at the center-of-mass energy √{s}=200 GeV, 630 GeV respectively. Two complementary approaches are used in studying the nuclear shadowing effect in heavy-ion collisions at SIS/GSI beam energies within a hadronic transport model. By analysing simultaneously the average transverse momentum of nucleons and pions in the reaction plane as a function of rapidity, the shadowing effect is revealed as an anticorrelation of the average transverse momentum distributions of nucleons and pions in semicentral and peripheral collisions. While by studying the azimuthal angle distribution of pions with respect to the reaction plane, the shadowing effect appears as an azimuthal anisotropy with a preferential emission of pions perpendicular to the reaction plane. The dependence of the nuclear shadowing effect on the impact parameter and the beam energy is also studied.  相似文献

The double Q2-rescaling model is used to compute the change of K-factor with xA2 when the nucleus carbon-nucleus carbon collision occurs at different values of xAl, where x are momentum fraction variables. In the calculation, the contributions of annihilations and Compton scattering have been considered for the Drell-Yan process. The calculated results show that the plots of K-factor versus XA2 are very different for different values of xAl. They are also compared with experimental data, which provides a test to the model of nuclear effect and the QCD theory itself  相似文献

We present the perturbative QCD analysis of nuclear shadowing in deep inelastic scattering and prove it to be the scaling, rather than the higher twist, 1/Q2, effect, contrary to numerous recent claims. We argue in favor of the scaling triple-pomeron contribution to the nuclear shadowing and comment on the mass spectrum of diffraction excitation by highly virtual photons. Our numerical predictions for shadowing are in good agreement with the recent EMC data.  相似文献

The effect of intranuclear motion of nucleons on the photoabsorption shadowing due to the conversion of a γ-ray photon into a vector meson in nuclear matter is analyzed. It is shown within the method of time-correlation functions that, in comparison with the results of the standard approach, the correction to the total photoabsorption cross section due to the nuclear shadowing is determined by two additional factors: the Fermi motion of nucleons in a nucleus and nucleon recoil.  相似文献

Nuclear shadowing corrections are known to be dominated by soft interactions. They grow as function of 1/x more slowly than the single scattering term, which has an essential contribution from hard interactions. Therefore, we predict that nuclear shadowing vanishes eventually at very lowx, provided thatQ 2 is high and fixed. At the same time, at medium and lowQ 2, nuclear shadowing grows with 1/x. Our formalism nicely explains also the recent NMC data onQ 2-dependence of the nuclear shadowing. The effect of gluon fusion is found to be of little importance for the nuclear structure function in the available range ofx. Communicated by W. Weise  相似文献

Having studied the initial state energy loss versus nuclear shadowing for the Drell-Yan dimuon pair production in the color string model, the inhomogeneous shadowing effect is considered in this paper. We find that the inhomogeneous shadowing effect does amend the rate of energy loss per unit path length, -dE/dz. Finally, the theoretical results for the Drell-Yan differential cross-section ratios are compared with the E772 and E866 data. It is found that the theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献
