Thermal transport measurements have been made on the Fe-based superconductor Lu2Fe3Si5 (T(c) ~ 6 K) down to a very low temperature T(c)/120. The field and temperature dependences of the thermal conductivity confirm the multigap superconductivity with fully opened gaps on the whole Fermi surfaces. In comparison to MgB2, Lu2Fe3Si5 reveals a remarkably enhanced quasiparticle heat conduction in the mixed state. The results can be interpreted as a consequence of the unequal weight of the Fe 3d-electron character among the distinct bands.  相似文献

The thermal conductivity kappa of the layered s-wave superconductor NbSe2 was measured down to T(c)/100 throughout the vortex state. With increasing field, we identify two regimes: one with localized states at fields very near H(c1) and one with highly delocalized quasiparticle excitations at higher fields. The two associated length scales are naturally explained as multiband superconductivity, with distinct small and large superconducting gaps on different sheets of the Fermi surface. This behavior is compared to that of the multiband superconductor MgB2 and the conventional superconductor V3Si.  相似文献

We report on a new iron selenide superconductor with a T(c) onset of 45?K and the nominal composition Li(x)(C(5)H(5)N)(y)Fe(2-z)Se(2), synthesized via intercalation of dissolved alkaline metal in anhydrous pyridine at room temperature. This superconductor exhibits a broad transition, reaching zero resistance at 10?K. Magnetization measurements reveal a superconducting shielding fraction of approximately 30%. Analogous phases intercalated with Na, K and Rb were also synthesized and characterized. The superconducting transition temperature of Li(x)(C(5)H(5)N)(y)Fe(2-z)Se(2) is clearly enhanced in comparison to those of the known superconductors FeSe(0.98) (T(c)?~?8?K) and A(x)Fe(2-y)Se(2) (T(c)?~?27-32?K) and is in close agreement with critical temperatures recently reported for Li(x)(NH(3))(y)Fe(2-z)Se(2). Post-annealing of intercalated material (Li(x)(C(5)H(5)N)(y)Fe(2-z)Se(2)) at elevated temperatures drastically enlarges the c-parameter of the unit cell (~44%) and increases the superconducting shielding fraction to nearly 100%. Our findings indicate a new synthesis route leading to possibly even higher critical temperatures for materials in this class: by intercalation of organic compounds between Fe-Se layers.  相似文献

CePt3Si is a novel heavy fermion superconductor, crystallizing in the CePt3B structure as a tetragonally distorted low symmetry variant of the AuCu3 structure type. CePt3Si exhibits antiferromagnetic order at T(N) approximately 2.2 K and enters into a heavy fermion superconducting state at T(c) approximately 0.75 K. Large values of H(')(c2) approximately -8.5 T/K and H(c2)(0) approximately 5 T refer to heavy quasiparticles forming Cooper pairs. Hitherto, CePt3Si is the first heavy fermion superconductor without a center of symmetry.  相似文献

Low temperature specific heat and thermal conductivity measurements on the ambient pressure heavy fermion superconductors CeIrIn5 and CeCoIn5 reveal power law temperature dependences of these quantities below T(c). The low temperature specific heat in both CeIrIn5 and CeCoIn5 includes T2 terms, consistent with the presence of nodes in the superconducting energy gap. The thermal conductivity data present a T-linear term consistent with the universal limit (CeIrIn5), and a low temperature T3 variation in the clean limit (CeCoIn5), also in accord with prediction for an unconventional superconductor with lines of nodes.  相似文献

We report transverse-field and zero-field muon spin rotation and relaxation studies of the superconducting rhenium oxide pyrochlore, Cd2Re2O7. Transverse-field measurements (H=0.007 T) show line broadening below T(c), which is characteristic of a vortex state, demonstrating conclusively the type-II nature of this superconductor. The penetration depth is seen to level off below about 400 mK (T/T(c) approximately 0.4), with a rather large value of lambda(T=0) approximately 7500 A. The temperature independent behavior below approximately 400 mK is consistent with a nodeless superconducting energy gap. Zero-field measurements indicate no static magnetic fields developing below the transition temperature.  相似文献

Boron isotope effect in superconducting MgB2   总被引:16,自引:0,他引:16
We report the preparation method of and boron isotope effect for MgB2, a new binary intermetallic superconductor with a remarkably high superconducting transition temperature T(c)(10B) = 40.2 K. Measurements of both temperature dependent magnetization and specific heat reveal a 1.0 K shift in T(c) between Mg11B2 and Mg10B2. Whereas such a high transition temperature might imply exotic coupling mechanisms, the boron isotope effect in MgB2 is consistent with the material being a phonon-mediated BCS superconductor.  相似文献

We report specific heat measurements of the heavy fermion superconductor CeCoIn5 in the vicinity of the superconducting critical field H(c2), with magnetic fields in the [110], [100], and [001] directions, and at temperatures down to 50 mK. The superconducting phase transition changes from second to first order for fields above 10 T for H parallel [110] and H parallel [100]. In the same range of magnetic fields, we observe a second specific heat anomaly within the superconducting state. We interpret this anomaly as a signature of a Fulde-Ferrell-Larkin-Ovchinnikov (FFLO) inhomogeneous superconducting state. We obtain similar results for H parallel [001], with the FFLO state occupying a smaller part of the phase diagram.  相似文献

We present the temperature dependence of the thermal conductivity kappa(T) of the unconventional superconductor Sr2RuO4 down to low temperatures ( approximately 100 mK). In the T-->0 K limit we found a finite residual term in kappa/T, providing clear evidence for the superconducting state with an unconventional pairing. The residual term remains unchanged for samples with different T(c), demonstrating the universal character of heat transport in this spin-triplet superconductor. The low-temperature behavior of kappa suggests the strong impurity scattering with a phase shift close to pi/2. A criterion for the observation of universality is experimentally deduced.  相似文献

We report (27)Al Knight shift ( (27)K) measurement on a single-crystal UNi(2)Al(3) that reveals a coexistence of superconductivity and a spin-density-wave (SDW) type of magnetic ordering ( T(SDW) = 4.5 K). The spin part of (27)K, (27)K(s), does not change down to 50 mK across the superconducting (SC) transition temperature T(c) approximately 0.9 K. In contrast with the isostructural compound UPd(2)Al(3) ( T(c) approximately 2 K), which was identified to be a spin-singlet d-wave superconductor, the behavior of (27)K strongly supports that UNi(2)Al(3) , like UPt(3) and Sr(2)RuO(4), belongs to a class of spin-triplet SC pairing state superconductors.  相似文献

Magnetization measurements under hydrostatic pressure up to 8 kbar in the pyrochlore superconductor RbOs2O6 (T(c) approximately or equal 6.3 K at p=0) were carried out. A positive pressure effect on T(c) with dT(c)/dp=0.090(3) K/kbar was observed, whereas no pressure effect on the magnetic penetration depth lambda was detected. The pressure independent ratio 2 Delta(0)/k(B)T(c)=3.72(2) (Delta(0) is the superconducting gap at zero temperature) was found to be close to the BCS value 3.52. Magnetization and muon-spin rotation measurements of lambda(T) indicate that RbOs2O6 is an adiabatic s-wave BCS-type superconductor. The value of lambda extrapolated to zero temperature and ambient pressure was estimated to be 230(30) nm.  相似文献

In the quest for new superconductor compounds which adopt the superconducting state at increasingly higher transition temperatures T c , a non-phonon mediated coupling between the charge carriers seems to play a key role. In order to enhance our understanding of such unconventional coupling mechanisms, we studied a new family of heavy fermion (HF) superconductors CeTIn 5 (T: transition metal) whose properties point toward the realization of unconventional superconductivity (SC): the specific heat, thermal conductivity and nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate of CeIrIn 5 and CeCoIn 5 decrease as a power law of temperature instead of exponentially for T < T c . We report on measurements of the heat capacity of CeIrIn 5 and CeCoIn 5 at hydrostatic pressures p h 1.6 GPa. In both compounds, T c increases with increasing pressure, while the mass of the quasi-particles m eff decreases, as indicated by the ratio C / T | T c . As a working hypothesis based on theories of a nearly antiferromagnetic Fermi-liquid (NAFFL), this may be interpreted as the stabilization of the superconducting state by an increase of the characteristic spin fluctuation temperature T_{\rm SF}\ (T_{\rm SF}\propto k_{\rm F}^{2}/m_{\rm eff}).  相似文献

We report (11)B and (195)Pt NMR measurements in noncentrosymmetric superconductor Li(2)Pt(3)B. We find that the spin susceptibility measured by the Knight shift remains unchanged across the superconducting transition temperature T(c). With decreasing temperature (T) below T(c), the spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T(1) decreases with no coherence peak and is in proportion to T3. These results indicate that the Cooper pair is in the spin-triplet state and that there exist line nodes in the superconducting gap function. They are in sharp contrast to those in the isostructural Li(2)Pd(3)B which is a spin-singlet, s-wave superconductor, and are ascribed to the enhanced spin-orbit coupling due to the lack of spatial inversion symmetry. Our finding points to a new paradigm where exotic superconductivity arises in the absence of electron-electron correlations.  相似文献

The superconducting phase transition in heavy fermion CeCoIn5 (T(c)=2.3 K in zero field) becomes first order when the magnetic field H parallel [001] is greater than 4.7 T, and the transition temperature is below T0 approximately 0.31T(c). The change from second order at lower fields is reflected in strong sharpening of both specific heat and thermal expansion anomalies associated with the phase transition, a strong magnetocaloric effect, and a steplike change in the sample volume. This effect is due to Pauli limiting in a type-II superconductor, and was predicted theoretically in the mid-1960s.  相似文献

We have studied the low-energy spin-excitation spectrum of the single-crystalline Rb(2)Fe(4)Se(5) superconductor (T(c)=32 K) by means of inelastic neutron scattering. In the superconducting state, we observe a magnetic resonant mode centered at an energy of ?ω(res)=14 meV and at the (0.5 0.25 0.5) wave vector (unfolded Fe-sublattice notation), which differs from the ones characterizing magnetic resonant modes in other iron-based superconductors. Our finding suggests that the 245-iron selenides are unconventional superconductors with a sign-changing order parameter, in which bulk superconductivity coexists with the √5×√5 magnetic superstructure. The estimated ratios of ?ω(res)/k(B)T(c)≈5.1±0.4 and ?ω(res)/2Δ≈0.7±0.1, where Δ is the superconducting gap, indicate moderate pairing strength in this compound, similar to that in optimally doped 1111 and 122 pnictides.  相似文献

Epitaxial thin films of the heavy fermion superconductor UNi2Al3 with Tc(max)=0.98 K were investigated. The transition temperature Tc depends on the current direction which can be related to superconducting gaps opening at different temperatures. Also the influence of the magnetic ordering at TN approximately 5 K on R(T) is strongly anisotropic, indicating different coupling between the magnetic moments and itinerant charge carriers on the multisheeted Fermi surface. The upper critical field Hc2(T) suggests an unconventional spin-singlet superconducting state.  相似文献

Specific heat, electrical resistivity, and magnetic susceptibility measurements on a high quality sample of Mg10Ir19B16 provide a self-consistent determination of its superconducting properties. They indicate that Mg10Ir19B16 is a type-II superconductor [T{C}=4.45 K, kappa(0) approximately 20], with an electron-phonon coupling constant lambda{ep}=0.66. An analysis of the T-dependent specific heat shows that superconducting properties are dominated by an s-wave gap (Delta=0.7 meV). Point contact tunneling data provide evidence for multiple superconducting gaps, as expected from strong asymmetric spin-orbit coupling.  相似文献

We report detailed study of non-magnetic impurity effects in a two-gap superconductor Lu2Fe3Si5 by replacing Lu with Sc. We find that the superconducting transition temperature Tc is drastically suppressed by slight substitution of Sc, while lattice constants change linearly with the substitution. These results strongly indicate that a slight substitution of Sc increases the inter-band scattering and causes averaging the amplitude of two gaps, which leads to the drastic suppression of Tc.  相似文献

We report on novel antiferromagnetic (AFM) and superconducting (SC) properties of noncentrosymmetric CePt3Si through measurements of the 195Pt nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T(1). In the normal state, the temperature (T) dependence of 1/T(1) unraveled the existence of low-lying levels in crystal-electric-field multiplets and the formation of a heavy-fermion (HF) state. The coexistence of AFM and SC phases that emerge at T(N)=2.2 K and T(c)=0.75 K, respectively, takes place on a microscopic level. CePt3Si is the first HF superconductor that reveals a peak in 1/T(1) just below T(c) and, additionally, does not follow the T3 law that used to be reported for most unconventional HF superconductors. We remark that this unexpected SC characteristic may be related to the lack of an inversion center in its crystal structure.  相似文献

We report upper critical field B(c2)(T) measurements on a single-crystalline sample of the ferromagnetic superconductor UCoGe. B(c2)(0) obtained for fields applied along the orthorhombic axes exceeds the Pauli limit for B parallela,b and shows a strong anisotropy B(c2)(a) approximately B(c2)(b)>B(c2)(c). This provides evidence for an equal-spin pairing state and a superconducting gap function of axial symmetry with point nodes along the c axis, which is also the direction of the uniaxial ferromagnetic moment m(0)=0.07micro(B). An unusual curvature or kink is observed in the temperature variation of B(c2) which possibly indicates UCoGe is a two-band ferromagnetic superconductor.  相似文献
