Abstract

The 𝒥-radical of a lattice-ordered ring Ris the ?-ring analogue of the Jacobson radical of a ring. It is shown that if the matrix ring R n has the usual lattice order, then 𝒥(R n ) = 𝒥(R) n . The connection between an element abeing right ?-quasi-regular and the inequality a ○ x ≤ 0 is also investigated. For squares in an f-ring the connection is an equivalence. In general it is still an equivalence provided xis the sum of elements from a larger f-ring whose absolute values lie in R. It is also shown that the vanishing of annihilators in an f-ring is inherited by enough totally ordered homomorphic images to give a subdirect product decomposition.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Let X = Spec(R) be a reduced equidimensional algebraic variety over an algebraically closed field k. Let Y = Spec(R/𝔮) be a codimension one ordinary multiple subvariety, where 𝔮 is a prime ideal of height 1 of R. If U is a nonempty open subset of Y and 𝔪 a closed point of U, we denote by A ? R 𝔪 its local ring in X, by 𝔭 the extension of 𝔮 in A, and by K the algebraic closure of the residue field k(𝔭).

Then there exists a bijection γ𝔪:Proj(G 𝔭(A) ?  A/𝔭 k) → Proj(G(A 𝔭) ?  k(𝔭)K) such that for every subset Σ of Proj(G 𝔭(A) ?  A/𝔭 k), the Hilbert function of Σ coincides with the Hilbert function of γ𝔪(Σ). We examine some applications. We study the structure of the tangent cone at a closed point of a codimension one ordinary multiple subvariety.  相似文献

Define d λν = [S(λ): D(ν)] to be the composition multiplicity of D(ν) in S(λ). For a commutative ring R, assume that c is a nonzero element of Z(R) with the property that cZ(R) = {0}. A local ring R is called c-local if Z(R)2 = {0, c}, Z(R)3 = {0}, and xZ(R) = {0} implies x ∈ {0, c}. For any finite c-local ring (R, 𝔪), it is proved that the ideal m has a minimal generating set which has a c-partition. The structure and classification up to isomorphism of all finite commutative c-local rings with order greater than 25 are determined.  相似文献

A weak Cayley table isomorphism is a bijection φ: G → H of groups such that φ(xy) ~ φ(x)φ(y) for all x, y ∈ G. Here ~denotes conjugacy. When G = H the set of all weak Cayley table isomorphisms φ: G → G forms a group 𝒲(G) that contains the automorphism group Aut(G) and the inverse map I: G → G, x → x ?1. Let 𝒲0(G) = ?Aut(G), I? ≤ 𝒲(G) and say that G has trivial weak Cayley table group if 𝒲(G) = 𝒲0(G). We show that all finite irreducible Coxeter groups (except possibly E 8) have trivial weak Cayley table group, as well as most alternating groups. Let R be a reduced commutative ring with 1 ≠ 0. Let R E be the set of equivalence classes for the equivalence relation on R given by x ~ y if and only if ann R (x) = ann R (y). Then R E is a (meet) semilattice with respect to the order [x] ≤ [y] if and only if ann R (y) ? ann R (x). In this paper, we investigate when R E is a lattice and relate this to when R is weakly complemented or satisfies the annihilator condition. Let (S,𝔫) be a 2-dimensional regular local ring and let I = (f, g) be an ideal in S generated by a regular sequence f, g of length two. Algebra 312 : 709732 . [Google Scholar]), we prove that if μ G (I*) = n, then I* contains a homogeneous system {ξ i }1≤in of generators such that deg ξ i  + 2 ≤ deg ξ i+1 for 2 ≤ i ≤ n ? 1, and ht G 1, ξ2,…, ξ n?1) = 1, and we describe precisely the Hilbert series H(gr𝔪(R), λ) in terms of the degrees c i of the ξ i and the integers d i , where d i is the degree of D i  = GCD(ξ1,…, ξ i ). To the complete intersection ideal I = (f, g)S we associate a positive integer n with 2 ≤ n ≤ c 1 + 1, an ascending sequence of positive integers (c 1, c 2,…, c n ), and a descending sequence of integers (d 1 = c 1, d 2,…, d n  = 0) such that c i+1 ? c i  > d i?1 ? d i  > 0 for each i with 2 ≤ i ≤ n ? 1. We establish here that this necessary condition is also sufficient for there to exist a complete intersection ideal I = (f, g) whose leading ideal has these invariants. Let (R, 𝔪) be a Noetherian local ring and M be a submodule of the free module F = R r with height(I r (M)) > 0. Asymptotic sequences over M will be defined analogous to Rees’ definition of asymptotic sequences over an ideal. It is then shown that all maximal asymptotic sequences over M have the same length. This length gives a bound on the analytic spread of M. Namely, if s is the length of a maximal asymptotic sequence over M then l(M) ≤dim R + rank M ? 1 ? s. Let I be an ideal of a local ring (R, 𝔪). Using local cohomology, we present new criteria (see 1.4, respectively 1.5) for the conditions ara (I) ≤ 1 respectively ara (I) ≤ 2, where ara (I) stands for the number of generators of I up to radical. Though this works equally well for the local and for the graded case, we show some subtle differences between the local and the graded situation in Section 2. Finally, in Section 3, we show that the Matlis dual of certain local cohomology modules, though not finite, is well behaved in some sense.  相似文献

Full Ideals     
Contractedness of 𝔪-primary integrally closed ideals played a central role in the development of Zariski's theory of integrally closed ideals in two-dimensional regular local rings (R, 𝔪). In such rings, the contracted 𝔪-primary ideals are known to be characterized by the property that I: 𝔪 = I: x for some x ∈ 𝔪 ?𝔪2. We call the ideals with this property full ideals and compare this class of ideals with the classes of 𝔪-full ideals, basically full ideals, and contracted ideals in higher dimensional regular local rings. The 𝔪-full ideals are easily seen to be full. In this article, we find a sufficient condition for a full ideal to be 𝔪-full. We also show the equivalence of the properties full, 𝔪-full, contracted, integrally closed, and normal, for the class of parameter ideals. We then find a sufficient condition for a basically full parameter ideal to be full.  相似文献

Abstract

Let 𝒪 be a discrete valuation ring whose residue field 𝒪/𝔭 is finite and has odd characteristic. Let l be a positive integer. Set R = 𝒪/𝔭 l and let R = R[θ] be the ring obtained by adjoining to R a square root of a non-square unit. Consider the involution σ of R that fixes R elementwise and sends θ to ? θ. Let V be a free R-module of rank n > 0 endowed with a non-degenerate hermitian form ( , ) relative to σ. Let U n (R) be the subgroup of GL(V) that preserves ( , ). Let SU n (R) be the subgroup of all g ∈ U n (R) whose determinant is equal to one. Let Ψ be the Weil character of U n (R).

All irreducible constituents of Ψ are determined. An explicit character formula is given for each of them. In particular, all character degrees are computed. For n > 2 the corresponding results are also obtained for the restriction of Ψ to SU n (R).  相似文献
