In this work, using lacunary sequences and the notion of ideal convergence we define and examine new sequence spaces with respect to a sequence of modulus functions in n-normed linear spaces. Further, the definition of Iθ-convergence in n-normed linear spaces and some related results are given.  相似文献

We extend the well-known and important fact that “a topological space X is compact if and only if every ideal in C(X) is fixed”, to more general topological spaces. Some interesting consequences are also observed. In particular, the maximality of compact Hausdorff spaces with respect to the property of compactness is generalized and the topological spaces with this generalized property are characterized.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce some certain new sequence spaces via ideal convergence, λ-sequence and an Orlicz function in n-normed spaces and study different properties of these spaces and also establish some inclusion results among them.  相似文献

We study the structure of Banach spaces X determined by the coincidence of nuclear maps on X with certain operator ideals involving absolutely summing maps and their relatives. With the emphasis mainly on Hilbert-space valued mappings, it is shown that the class of Hilbert—Schmidt spaces arises as a ‘solution set’ of the equation involving nuclear maps and the ideal of operators factoring through Hilbert—Schmidt maps. Among other results of this type, it is also shown that Hilbert spaces can be characterised by the equality of this latter ideal with the ideal of 2-summing maps. We shall also make use of this occasion to give an alternative proof of a famous theorem of Grothendieck using some well-known results from vector measure theory.  相似文献

For a given ideal IP(ω), IC(I) denotes the class of separable metric spaces X such that whenever is a sequence of continuous functions convergent to zero with respect to the ideal I then there exists a set of integers {m0<m1<?} from the dual filter F(I) such that limi→∞fmi(x)=0 for all xX. We prove that for the most interesting ideals I, IC(I) contains only singular spaces. For example, if I=Id is the asymptotic density zero ideal, all IC(Id) spaces are perfectly meager while if I=Ib is the bounded ideal then IC(Ib) spaces are σ-sets.  相似文献

An ideal on a set X is a nonempty collection of subsets of X with heredity property which is also closed under finite unions. The concept of generalized closed sets in bitopological spaces was introduced by Sundaram. In this paper, we introduce and study the concept of generalized closed sets with respect to an ideal in an ideal bitopological space.  相似文献

We provide a short characterization of p-asymptotic uniform smoothability and asymptotic uniform flatenability of operators and of Banach spaces. We use these characterizations to show that many asymptotic uniform smoothness properties pass to injective tensor products of operators and of Banach spaces. In particular, we prove that the injective tensor product of two asymptotically uniformly smooth Banach spaces is asymptotically uniformly smooth. We prove that for \(1<p<\infty \), the class of p-asymptotically uniformly smoothable operators can be endowed with an ideal norm making this class a Banach ideal. We also prove that the class of asymptotically uniformly flattenable operators can be endowed with an ideal norm making this class a Banach ideal.  相似文献

Relatively recent and new results on the enumeration of classes of projective congruent quadrics and classes of projective equivalent quadrics of projective spaces over a local ring R = 2R with nilpotent principal maximal ideal are reflected in the paper. For the case of the basic ring R with nonprincipal maximal ideal, the enumerations of quadrics of projective plane are given up to projective equivalence.  相似文献

In Archimedean vector lattices bands can be introduced via three different coinciding notions. First, they are order closed ideals. Second, they are precisely those ideals which equal their double disjoint complements. The third concept is that of an ideal which contains the supremum of any of its bounded subsets, provided the supremum exists in the vector lattice. We investigate these three notions and their relationships in the more general setting of Archimedean pre-Riesz spaces. We introduce the notion of a supremum closed ideal, which is related to the third aforementioned notion in vector lattices. We show that for a directed ideal I in a pervasive pre-Riesz space with the Riesz decomposition property these three concepts coincide, provided the double disjoint complement of I is directed. In pervasive pre-Riesz spaces every directed band is supremum closed and every supremum closed directed ideal I equals its double disjoint complement, provided the double disjoint complement of I is directed. In general, in Archimedean pre-Riesz spaces the three notions differ. For this we provide appropriate counterexamples.  相似文献

The spaces X in which every prime z°-ideal of C(X) is either minimal or maximal are characterized. By this characterization, it turns out that for a large class of topological spaces X, such as metric spaces, basically disconnected spaces and one-point compactifications of discrete spaces, every prime z°-ideal in C(X) is either minimal or maximal. We will also answer the following questions: When is every nonregular prime ideal in C(X) a z°-ideal? When is every nonregular (prime) z-ideal in C(X) a z°-ideal? For instance, we show that every nonregular prime ideal of C(X) is a z°-ideal if and only if X is a ?-space (a space in which the boundary of any zeroset is contained in a zeroset with empty interior).  相似文献

Suppose (B,β) is an operator ideal, and A is a linear space of operators between Banach spaces X and Y. Modifying the classical notion of hyperreflexivity, we say that A is called B-hyperreflexive if there exists a constant C such that, for any TB(X,Y) with α=supβ(qTi)<∞ (the supremum runs over all isometric embeddings i into X, and all quotient maps of Y, satisfying qAi=0), there exists aA, for which β(Ta)?Cα. In this paper, we give examples of B-hyperreflexive spaces, as well as of spaces failing this property. In the last section, we apply SE-hyperreflexivity of operator algebras (SE is a regular symmetrically normed operator ideal) to constructing operator spaces with prescribed families of completely bounded maps.  相似文献

For A an Archimedean Riesz space (=vector lattice) with distinguished positive weak unit eA, we have the Yosida representation  as a Riesz space in D(XA), the lattice of extended real valued functions on the space of eA-maximal ideas. This note is about those A for which  is a convex subset of D(XA); we call such A “convex”.Convex Riesz spaces arise from the general issue of embedding as a Riesz ideal, from consideration of uniform- and order-completeness, and from some problems involving comparison of maximal ideal spaces (which we won't discuss here; see [10]).The main results here are: (2.4) A is convex iff A is contained as a Riesz ideal in a uniformly complete Φ-algebra B with identity eA. (3.1) Any A has a convex reflection (i.e., embeds into a convex B with a universal mapping property for Riesz homomorphisms; moreover, the embedding is epic and large).  相似文献

In the paper we prove an extension theorem for matrices with entries in H(U) for U a Riemann surface of a special type. One of the main components of the proof is a Grauert-type theorem for “holomorphic” vector bundles defined on maximal ideal spaces of certain Banach algebras.  相似文献

In [1], Aç?kgöz et al. introduced and investigated the notions of w-I-continuous and w*-I-continuous functions in ideal topological spaces. In this paper, we investigate their relationships with continuous and θ-continuous functions.  相似文献

We discuss themes in our joint research with Mel Henriksen. These include the prime ideal structure of C(X), regular ring extensions of C(X), and the construction of various “covers” (generalizations of absolutes) of Tychonoff spaces. We also reflect on Mel Henriksen the man.  相似文献

Chen ideal submanifolds M n in Euclidean ambient spaces E n+m (of arbitrary dimensions n ?? 2 and codimensions m??? 1) at each of their points do realise an optimal equality between their squared mean curvature, which is their main extrinsic scalar valued curvature invariant, and their ???C(= ??(2)?C) curvature of Chen, which is one of their main intrinsic scalar valued curvature invariants. From a geometric point of view, the pseudo-symmetric Riemannian manifolds can be seen as the most natural symmetric spaces after the real space forms, i.e. the spaces of constant Riemannian sectional curvature. From an algebraic point of view, the Roter manifolds can be seen as the Riemannian manifolds whose Riemann?CChristoffel curvature tensor R has the most simple expression after the real space forms, the latter ones being characterisable as the Riemannian spaces (M n , g) for which the (0, 4) tensor R is proportional to the Nomizu?CKulkarni square of their (0, 2) metric tensor g. In the present article, for the class of the Chen ideal submanifolds M n of Euclidean spaces E n+m , we study the relationship between these geometric and algebraic generalisations of the real space forms.  相似文献

We show that the secant varieties of rank three compact Hermitian symmetric spaces in their minimal homogeneous embeddings are normal, with rational singularities. We show that their ideals are generated in degree three—with one exception, the secant variety of the 21-dimensional spinor variety in P63 where we show that the ideal is generated in degree four. We also discuss the coordinate rings of secant varieties of compact Hermitian symmetric spaces.  相似文献

Let K be a non-archimedean, non trivially valued, complete field. Given a dual pair of vector spaces (E, F) over K we study the finest locally convex topology of countable type %plane1D;4A5; on E such that (E%plane1D;4A5;′= F and, given a locally convex space E, %plane1D;4A5; we describe the finest topology of countable type on E coarser than %plane1D;4A5; It is also shown how the class (S0) of spaces of countable type can be obtained from an operator ideal.  相似文献
