Extraction of microamounts of strontium and barium by a nitrobenzene solution of hydrogen dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B) in the presence of dibenzo-21-crown-7 (DB21C7, L) has been investigated. Solubility product (Lu(OH)3(s)⇆Lu3++3OH) and first hydrolysis (Lu3++H2O⇆Lu(OH)2++H+) constants were determined for an initial lutetium concentration range from 3.72·10−5 mol·dm−3 to 2.09·10−3 mol·dm−3. Measurements were made in 2 mol·dm−3 NaClO4 ionic strength, under CO2-free conditions and temperature was controlled at 303 K. Solubility diagrams (pLuaq vs. pC H) were determined by means of a radiochemical method using 177Lu. The pC H for the beginning of precipitation and solubility product constant were determined from these diagrams and both the first hydrolysis and solubility product constants were calculated by fitting the diagrams to the solubility equation. The pC H values of precipitation increases inversely to [Lu3+]initial and the values for the first hydrolysis and solubility product constants were log10 β* Lu,H = −7.92±0.07 and log10 K*sp,Lu(OH)3 = −23.37±0.14. Individual solubility values for pC H range between the beginning of precipitation and 8.5 were S Lu3+ = 3.5·10−7 mol·dm−3, S Lu(OH)2+ = 6.2·10−7 mol·dm−3, and then total solubility was 9.7·10−7 mol·dm−3.  相似文献

Rice husk, an agricultural waste product, was studied as a potential decontaminant for chromium in the effluents of leather tanning industries. Physico-chemical parameters such as selection of appropriate electrolyte, shaking time, concentration of adsorbent and adsorbate were studied to optimize the best conditions in which this material can be utilized on commercial scale for the decontamination of effluents. The radiotracer technique was used to determine the distribution of chromium. In certain cases atomic absorption spectrophotometry was also employed. Maximum adsorption was observed at 0.01 mol·dm−3 acid solutions (HNO3, HCl, H2SO4 and HClO4) using 3.0 g of adsorbent for 2.73·10−3 mol·dm−3 chromium concentration in five minutes equilibration time. Studies show that the adsorption decreases with the increase in the concentrations of all the acids. The adsorption data follows the Freundlich isotherm over the range of 2.73·10−3 to 2.73·10−2 mol·dm−3 chromium concentration. The characteristic Freundlich constants, i.e., 1/n=0.86±0.06 andA=2.35±0.06 mmol·g−1 have been computed for the sorption system. Thermodynamic parameters, i.e., ΔG 0, ΔS 0 and ΔH 0 have also been calculated for the system. Application of the method to a test case of a medium size industry showed that 21 kg of rice husk was sufficient to maintain the NEQS limits of chromium for industrial effluents.  相似文献

The sorption of caesium and strontium from its aqueous solutions by ten clinoptilolite-and mordenite-containing sedimentary materials from Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Greece was investigated by batch-type procedure and radiotracer techniques. The concentration of the solutions, that were performed in and without the presence of competing cations (0.005 mol·dm−3 KCl) varied between 1·10−4 and 5·10−2 mol·dm−3. The uptake and distribution coefficient (K d ) values determined for the materials of the different origin, were correlated with their mineralogical composition and gross cation exchange capacity (CEC). The identification of the specific uptake sites was attempted on the basis of the sorption isotherms and the content of exchangeable cations. The experimental results provide information on the suitability of the individual materials for the treatment of radioactive wastes and their application as backfills in potential nuclear waste repositories.  相似文献

The development of a spectrophotometric method for the determination of hydrogen peroxide in uranyl nitrate solutions is reported. The method involves the measurement of the absorbance at 520 nm of a vanadyl peroxide species. This species was formed by the addition of a reagent consisting of vanadium (V) (50 mmol·dm−3) in dilute sulphuric acid (2 mol·dm−3 H2SO4). This reagent, after dilution, was also used as an extractant for organic phase samples. The method is simple and robust and tolerant of nitric acid and U(VI). Specificity and accuracy were improved by the application of solid phase extraction techniques to remove entrained organic solvents and Pu(IV). Reverse phase solid phase extraction was used to clean-up aqueous samples or extracts which were contaminated with entrained solvent. A solid phase extraction system based upon an extraction chromatography system was used to remove Pu(IV). Detection limits of 26 μmol·dm−3 (0.88 μg·cm−3) or 7 μmol·dm−3 (0.24 μg·cm−3) for, respectively, a 1 and 4 cm path length cell were obtained. Precisions of RSD=1.4% and 19.5% were obtained at the extremes of the calibration curve (5 mmol·dm−3 and 50 μmol·dm−3 H2O2, 1 cm cell). The introduction of the extraction and clean-up stages had a negligible effect upon the precision of the determination. The stability of an organic phase sample was tested and no loss of analyte could be discerned over a period of at least 5 days. The presence of trace levels of reductants interfered with the determination, e.g., hydrazine (<2 mmol·dm−3), but this effect was ameliorated by increasing the concentration of the colormetric reagent.  相似文献

It was found that lead reacts with 18-crown-6 (L) and tungstosilicic acid (H4A) in acidic solutions and a compound with low solubility is formed what was confirmed by radiometric titration methods. Coprecipitation of complexion cation of PbL2+ with similar complexion cations of calcium, strontium and barium was studied. Formation of low soluble salts was utilized for separation of Pb from Ca, Sr and Ba from 1 mol·dm–3 HNO3. BaxMIV xCe2−2x (PO4)2 [MIV=Zr, Hf] monazite-like compounds were succesfully synthesized by solid state reaction for x≤0.2 (MIV=Zr) and x≤0.1 (MIV=Hf). The low miscibility of BaMIV(PO4)2 (MIV=Zr, Hf) compounds in CePO4 was explained on the basis of the monoclinic-to-trigonal phase transition that occurs at 733 K in BaZr(PO4)2 and at 798 K in BaHf(PO4)2. The hydrothermal alteration of these compounds was tested using a modified MCC-1 static leaching test in acid (1 mol·dm−3 HCl) and basic (1 mol dm−3 KOH) solutions at 373 K, 473 K and 573 K; both the experimental fluids and the reacted solid specimens were analyzed by different analytical techniques and the reaction mechanisms were elucidated. All the tested compounds are stable in 1 mol·dm−3 HCl until 573 K. The stability of the monazites in 1 mol·dm−3 KOH is a function of the temperature.  相似文献

Hydroxyl radicals were generated radiolytically in N2O-saturated aqueous solutions of the aminoglycoside antibiotic, gentamycin. Using the pulse radiolysis technique, the rate constant of OH radicals with gentamycin determined was 1.2·109 dm3·mol−1·s−1. Upon.OH attack a transient species with an absorption maximum at 270 nm is observed which decays by second-order kinetics within the solute concentration range of 3.2·10−5 to 1·10−3mol·dm−3. Transient species undergoes transformation to a permanent product absorbing between 260 and 340 nm with maximum absorption at 300 nm. Rate constant of the reaction of bimolecular decay of gentamycin radicals, k (Gen.+Gen.) was found to be ≈ 1.4·107 dm3·mol−1·s−1.  相似文献

A series of novel hydroxamic acid complexes (ML21 ~ ML23, M=CoII, MnIIICl) containing benzo-15-crown-5 and their analogues, ML24were successfully synthesized starting from benzo-15-crown-5 (B15C5) or 1,2-dimethoxybenzene. Their structures were characterized by 1H-NMR, IR, and MS as well as by elemental analysis. Moreover, the saturated oxygen uptake of their cobalt(II) complexes,Col 21−Col24, in diethyleneglycol dimethyl ether was determined over the −5 to +20 °C range. The oxygenation constants (Ko2) and thermodynamic parameters (ΔH0 and ΔS0) were calculated. Meanwhile, the corresponding Mn(III) hydroxamates were employed as models of monooxygenase to catalyze PhCH=CH2 epoxidation at ambient temperature and pressures. The effects of pendant B15C5 and adding sodium cation on the O2-binding capabilities, and the catalytic oxidation performance of the complexes (ML21 ~ ML23), were investigated and compared with the uncrowned analogue ML24. The results indicated that the B15C5-functionalized Co(II) complexes (CoL21 ~ CoL 23) showed high ) showed high activity in the dioxygen affinities, and the Mn21Cl exhibited the best catalytic activity: th e conversion of PhCH=CH2 and epoxidation selectivity were up to 27.14%, 100% respectively.  相似文献

Strontium forms a compound of composition (SrL)2nH2O with low solubility (5.0·10–6 mol Sr·dm–3) in the presence of 18-crown-6 (L) and tungstosilicic acid (H4A) in acid media, as has been found by radiometric precipitation titration. Formation of the compound with limited solubility was used for separation of strontium and calcium from 1 mol·dm–3 HCl. It is possible to separate strontium in the range from trace to 6 mmol·dm–3 in the presence of calcium with its concentration up to 0.2 mol ·dm–3 and the recovery determined was 95% of Sr and 5% Ca or 90% of Sr and 4% Ca, respectively. The ratio of Sr/Ca depends on the stability constants ratio of metal-L (⊃SR/⊃ca) in the case of gradual addition of L. Potassium up to the concentration of 0.05 mol·dm–3 does not influence recovery of strontium.  相似文献

Complexation constants of Pb2+ and Cd2+ nitrates with five crown compounds (18-crown-6, dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6, benzo-15-crown-5, dibenzo-24-crown-8 and 12-crown-4), have been determined by d.c. and a.c. polarographic measurements in aqueous medium using 0.1 M HNO3 as supporting electrolyte. The complexes of lead with 18-crown-6 and dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 are very stable which may be attributed to the partially covalent bonds formed by this metal ion.  相似文献

Synergistic solvent extraction of 14 lanthanides with mixtures of 4-benzoyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one (HP) and the crown ethers (S), 18-crown-6, benzo-18-crown-6 or dibenzo-18-crown-6 from an aqueous chloride medium with the constant ionic strength of 0.1 mol dm−3 was investigated using benzene as a diluent. The composition of the species extracted was determined as LnP3 · S. The addition of a crown ether to the chelating extractant produced rather significant synergistic effects. On basis of experimental data, values of equilibrium constants, synergistic coefficients, and separation factors were calculated.  相似文献
