This study proposes a promising design of sound absorption panels containing acoustic resonators. Each resonator is comprised of one small-sized and one large-sized tubes in series. The former can be viewed as the neck of a Helmholtz resonator, while the latter serves as a resonant chamber. Both tubes are bent up to fit in limited space of the panel. The 3D printing technology is exploited to fabricate samples for measurements. Frequency manipulation for the absorption peak can be achieved by adjusting the geometric parameters of tubes. Moreover, two pairs of resonators with different dimensions can broaden the bandwidth of absorption. Theoretical predictions on absorption characteristics agree well with numerical and experimental results. The proposed structure offers a feasible way of absorbing low-frequency sound without the need to use thick panels.  相似文献

One way to tackle the control of stochastic noise in three dimensions is to reduce the sound transmission to the zone of interest. In buildings, windows are often the weak link in protecting the interior from outside noise. In particular, double glazed windows have a poor sound insulation at low frequency around the mass-air-mass resonance (double wall resonance). Since passive means for windows are exhausted, an active controller that increases the transmission loss in the low-frequency range is an attractive approach to reduce the noise level in buildings. Previously suggested feedforward controllers need reference microphones to measure the disturbance outside and error microphones for the adaptation somewhere in the room. For a real window this is unpractical or even unfeasible. These limitations can be overcome with the feedback controller presented here, which only uses sensors and actuators in the cavity of the double glazed window. Four different controllers—two feedforward and two feedback strategies—are designed, implemented and compared. With feedback the noise transmission around the mass-air-mass resonance can be reduced by , compared to with a feedforward controller.  相似文献

Although SEA is a suitable framework for predicting sound transmission through double walls it has been found that the standard method of computing the non- resonant coupling loss factor from a room to cavity underestimates the coupling. A revised model for computing this coupling loss factor is presented which gives much better agreement with measured data. This allows better predictions to be made of sound transmission through lightweight double walls.  相似文献

This study evaluated the insertion loss of sound waves through composite acoustic window materials for sonar dome applications, and examined the influence of dome shape on the sonar performance. The insertion loss of sound waves through acoustic window materials was experimentally measured as a function of frequency at normal incidence. The insertion loss was also theoretically estimated with three- and four-medium layer models. The theoretical estimation of insertion loss showed good agreement with the experimental measurements. The insertion loss was also measured as a function of angle of incidence. The characteristics of longitudinal and converted shear waves were observed at various angles of incidence. This study will be useful to select acoustic window materials with the appropriate acoustic characteristics for practical sonar dome applications.  相似文献

侧向传声作为建筑中声传递的组成部分,对住宅的整体隔声效果具有重要的影响,通过将建筑中相邻房间的各建筑构件划分为若干子系统,应用统计能量分析(Statistical Energy Analysis,SEA)理论,从系统的声功率平衡的角度建立侧向传声的预测模型,在描述各路径的传声规律的同时确定主要传声路径。研究结果表明:当外围护结构为重质结构,且为匀质单一材料构造时,(1)在低频处,全程通过两相邻房间的侧墙或楼板的非通过隔墙的侧向路径成为主要侧向传声路径;(2)在中高频,各侧向路径的声压级差趋于一致,此时的建筑隔声性能取决于通过隔墙的直接路径上的声传递;(3)采用重质隔墙可以缩小侧向传声影响的频率范围。本研究为改善住宅的声环境质量及建筑隔声设计提供了理论依据。  相似文献

The traditional Micro-perforated plate (MPP) is a kind of clean and non-polluting absorption structure in the middle and high frequency and has been widely used in the field of noise control. However, the sound absorption performance is dissatisfied at low frequencies when the air-cavity depth is restricted. In this paper, a mechanical impedance plate (MIP) is introduced into the traditional MPP structure and a Helmholtz resonator is attached to the MIP. Mechanical impedance plate (MIP) provides a good absorption at low frequency by using mechanism of mechanical resonance and the acoustic energy is dissipated in the form of heat with viscoelastic material. Helmholtz resonator can fill in the defect of the poor absorption effect between the Micro-perforated plate (MPP) and the mechanical impedance plate (MIP). The acoustic impedance of the proposed sound absorber is investigated by using acoustic electric analogy method and impedance transfer method. The influence of the tube’s length of Helmholtz resonator and the number of Helmholtz resonator on the sound absorption is studied. The corresponding results are in agreement with the theoretical calculation and prove that the composite structure has the characteristics of improving the low frequency sound absorption property.  相似文献

提出用亥姆霍兹共振器控制声腔内噪声时计算共振器最优阻尼比和最优工作带宽的理论公式,并进行实验验证。首先,建立共振器与待控腔体的声学耦合方程,以最小化腔体内目标声压幅值为参考,对共振器的阻尼比和工作带宽进行理论分析,求出最优阻尼比和最优工作带宽的计算公式。接着,提出在声腔噪声控制中使用最优亥姆霍兹共振器的实施步骤。最后,以一维声学腔体内的噪声为控制对象,通过对比控制前后的理论结果与实测数据,验证最优阻尼比和最优工作带宽的理论公式。结果表明,本文开发的亥姆霍兹共振器优化设计方法能准确地预报共振器的最优阻尼比与最优工作带宽,在声腔中低频噪声控制中有广泛的应用前景。  相似文献

A study of the airborne sound transmission in a multi-tenanted building has shown that elements of the building which are nominally identical do not have the same acoustic performance. It was seen that some of this variation in performance could be attributed to visually-observable differences in the constructions. Some of the variation could not be explained however, and it was concluded that this variation was due to workmanship. The level of this variation was seen to be approximately 1 dB for a light steel framed construction. This variation is considerably less than that measured previously for a monolithic construction.  相似文献

Periodic slit screens are often installed in rectangular apertures either to mask the opening or to reduce transmitted noise. This investigation considers the higher-order scattered and transmitted sound from a point source through a periodic screen mounted in a rigid baffle. In particular, this paper considers the spatial characteristics, or directivity, of the scattered field for a particular higher order mode. Uncoupled higher-order mode analysis is used to estimate the scattered and transmitted sound fields for the selected mode of the aperture without the presence of the screen. Transmission coefficients for the screens are then calculated using the well established equivalent mass layer effect and applied to the calculated higher-order mode scattered and transmitted sound pressures. Using an anechoic chamber, measurements were made over a small arc of the scattered sound field through a range of screens of different aspect ratios but the same porosity. The screens consisted of equally spaced open slits and solid laths and the number of slits was reduced to change the aspect ratio. In each case the point source was positioned on the impinging side of the aperture so as to drive one particular scattered higher-order aperture mode at or near cut-on. Comparison of the measured and predicted sound pressures indicate that good estimates of the sound field can be obtained through the approach of applying simple corrections for the presence of the screens to the estimates for the open aperture established using uncoupled calculations for the higher-order modes. It is also shown that the results for a specific mode excited at one particular frequency are applicable at other excitation frequencies provided that the correct non-dimensionalisation is applied.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental work on active control of sound transmission through a restricted opening bottom hinged window. The main goal of the work is to demonstrate the feasibility of the active technique to limit the loss of attenuation due to the aperture of windows, and its application to aircraft fly-over incident noise. The experimental window is placed in an exposed façade of a dwelling close to an airport and subject to fly-by aircraft noise. The active control is configured to cancel the pressure at the aperture using a single-input single-output feedforward adaptive system. As a result, a reduction of sound transmission is achieved with low power consumption. In global terms, an increase of almost 3 dB of transmission loss (with respect to the partially opened window insulation values) in the low frequency range (below 160 Hz and according to the National Danish Method for evaluating low frequency noise) is demonstrated, which is equivalent to a reduction of 50% in the loss of insulation caused by opening the window.  相似文献

Computational intelligence (CI) techniques offer powerful alternatives for investigating acoustical issues and providing acoustical solutions to problems. This paper presents information on two CI techniques by applying them to the sound transmission performance prediction and design of floor-ceiling constructions.First a simple neural network (NN) model for predicting the airborne sound transmission of typical floor-ceiling constructions is presented and explained in detail. This model is accessible to researchers with knowledge of neural network analysis (NNA) for further sophistication, specialisation or hybridisation. The model may also be used by architects and others with no knowledge of NNA and no access to any specialised neural network software. Evolutionary algorithms (EAs) were then applied to search the multidimensional space created by the neural network model in order to optimise the airborne sound transmission of floor-ceiling constructions within the range of design parameters utilised in buildings.  相似文献

This paper presents an active triple-panel sound insulation structure with an idealized controllable point force acting on the middle plate. A novel analytical approach based on sound energy transmission rule is proposed to achieve the physical mechanism study. The transfer impedance matrix of the incident and middle plate is calculated using numerical approach. And the rule of sound energy transmission through the triple-panel structure is concluded by indirectly analyzing the radiated sound power of the three plates. Finally the physical mechanism of noise insulation is investigated from the point of view of the change in behaviors of energy transmission in controlled and uncontrolled conditions. Results obtained demonstrate that there exist four different energy transmission paths for four panel mode groups. The energy transmission is independent in each path and they are all of band-pass characteristic. The role of the middle plate and two cavities is very similar to the band-pass filter whose pass-band is different for different mode groups. The essence of active noise insulation lies in the fact that the energy transmission in each path is suppressed in its pass-band after control. This greatly improves sound insulation capability of the triple-panel structure and leads to sound propagation being blocked.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to propose a practical impedance tube method to optimize the sound transmission loss of double wall structure by concentrating on the sound package placed inside the structure. In a previous work, the authors derived an expression that breakdown the transmission loss of a double wall structure containing a sound absorbing blanket separated from the panels by air layers in terms of three main contributions; (i) sound transmission loss of the panels, (ii) sound transmission loss of the blanket and (iii) sound absorption due to multiple reflections inside the cavity. The sound transmission loss contributions of the blanket can thus be estimated from three acoustic measurements using impedance tube techniques: two reflection coefficients at the front face and the rear face of the blanket placed in specific positions characteristic of its position inside the double wall structure and its sound transmission coefficient. The method is first validated in the case of a double wall structure filled with a 2 in. foam material. Next, it is applied to investigate (i) the effect of frame compression of a 2 in. fibre glass in an aeronautic-type double wall structure and (ii) the effect of double porosity with or without porous inclusions in a building-type double wall structure.  相似文献

For improving sound insulation of a double leaf dry partition, each leaf is often consisted of more than one panel. Previous study on predicting a transmission loss of double leaf partition, treats with the leaf varied just two kinds of panels and restricted to a leaf having same kind and same thickness. These restrictions are unfit for variety of current building materials and constructions. This study makes a prediction formula for a transmission loss of the double leaf partition with laminated leaves by a theoretical analysis and an experiment, and will discuss the predicted value with measured value in previous studies and catalogs.  相似文献

Part 1 of this paper demonstrated the validity of predictions of vibration transmission across junctions of masonry walls using Finite Element Methods (FEM). Part 2 uses numerical experiments with FEM to calculate the vibration transmission between masonry walls with window apertures at different positions in the flanking wall(s). Results from the numerical experiments are used to assess a simple “rule-of-thumb” estimate for calculating the change in the coupling parameters due to the introduction of an aperture into a flanking wall. Conclusions are drawn concerning use of the “rule-of-thumb” estimate for the coupling loss factor in Statistical Energy Analysis and the vibration reduction index in European standard EN 12354.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a coupled finite element/boundary element method (FEM/BEM) for control of noise radiation and sound transmission of vibrating structure by passive piezoelectric techniques. The system consists of an elastic structure (with surface mounted piezoelectric patches) coupled to external/internal acoustic domains. The passive shunt damping strategy is employed for vibration attenuation in the low frequency range. The originality of the present paper lies in evaluating the classically used FEM/BEM methods for structural–acoustics problems when taking account smart systems at the fluid–structure interfaces.  相似文献
