Mixed solvents rather than single pure liquids are of utmost practical importance in chemical and industrial processes as they provide an ample opportunity for the continuous adjustment of desired properties of the medium. Therefore, ultrasonic velocity (u) and density (ρ) were measured for the binary mixtures formed by heptane with ethyl acetate or butyl acetate at temperatures 293, 298 and 303 K over the entire composition range. Deviation in ultrasonic velocity (Δu), deviation in isentropic compressibility (Δκs), and excess intermolecular free length (LEf) have been evaluated using the ultrasonic velocity data and the computed results were fitted to the Redlich‐Kister polynomial equation. The values of Δu, Δκs and LEf were plotted against the molar fraction of heptane. The observed positive and negative values of excess parameters were discussed in terms of molecular interaction between the components of the mixtures. Experimental values of ultrasonic velocity and density were compared with the results obtained by theoretical estimation procedures. The results were discussed in terms of average absolute deviation (AAD).  相似文献

The density (ρ), viscosity (η) and ultrasonic velocity (u) of three mixtures consisting of 2- pyrrolidone with 1,3-propanediol (PD) and water and also of PD and water have been measured as a function of mole fraction at 308.15 K. The experimentally collected data has been used to calculate the excess molar volume (VE), deviation in viscosity (Δη), deviation in ultrasonic velocity (Δu), isentropic compressibility (κs), deviation in isentropic compressibility (Δκs) and excess Gibbs free energy of activation (ΔG*E). The Redlich–Kister polynomial equation has been used to fit the derived parameters. The variation in excessive thermodynamic properties as a consequence of possible molecular interactions is discussed.  相似文献

The internal functionalization of the Keplerate‐type capsule Mo132 has been carried out by ligand exchange leading to the formation of glutarate and succinate containing species isolated as ammonium or dimethylammonium salts. Solution NMR analysis is consistent with asymmetric inner dicarboxylate ions containing one carboxylato group grafted onto the inner side of the spheroidal inorganic shell while the second hangs toward the center of the cavity. Such a disposition has been confirmed by the single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis of the glutarate containing {Mo132} species. A detailed NMR solution study of the ligand‐exchange process allowed determining the binding constant KL of acetate (AcO?), succinate (HSucc?) or glutarate (HGlu?) ligands at the 30 inner coordinating sites, which vary such as K<K<Ksupported by the associated thermodynamic parameters ΔrS* and ΔrH*. Such a variation is mainly explained by a positive entropic gain attenuated by unfavorable steric effect. Furthermore, these results are completed by 1H DOSY and 1H EXSY NMR experiments which are in agreement with bulky guests firmly trapped within the cavity. At last, variable temperature 1H NMR study below 290 K revealed a striking line broadening occurring abruptly within a 5 K range. Such an effect appears closely related to the presence of the ammonium cations suspected to be present within the cavity and then has been interpreted as an inner‐phase transition leading to a frozen state.  相似文献

Refractive index, ultrasonic velocity and density for the binary mixtures of methanol with chlorobenzene and bromobenzene at 293, 303, and 313 K have been measured over the entire composition range. The values of refractive index (n), ultrasonic velocity (u), and density (ρ) were used to compute deviation in molar refraction (ΔR m) and deviation in isentropic compressibility (Δκ s). The results of deviation were fitted to the Redlich–Kister polynomial equation to derive the binary coefficients and standard deviation. Both the systems exhibited negative values of ΔR m and Δκ s over the entire composition range. The density, ultrasonic velocity and refractive index were correlated to first order polynomial with respect to mole fraction. Experimental data of physical properties (refractive index, isentropic compressibility and density) were compared with the results obtained by theoretical estimation procedures.  相似文献

2‐Amino‐4‐fluoro‐2‐methylpent‐4‐enoic acid, obtained as a 1 : 1 salt with trifluoro‐acetic acid, was characterized by 1H and 19F high‐resolution NMR spectroscopy. High‐precision potentiometry led to the dissociation constants pK = 1.879 and pK = 9.054. The first automated 470.59 MHz 19F NMR‐controlled titration yielded the dynamic chemical shift 〈δF〉 as a function of pcH or τ and the ion‐specific chemical shifts: δF(H2L+) = ?94.81 ppm, δF(HL) = ?94.21 ppm, δF(L?) = ?92.45 ppm. The deprotonation gradients were found to be Δ1 = ?0.60 ppm and Δ2 = ?1.76 ppm. Copyright © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This contribution describes the reactivities of CO2, CO, O2, and ArNC with the pincer‐type complexes [(κPCP′‐POCOP)NiX] (POCOP=(R2POCH2)2CH; R=iPr; X=OSiMe3, NArH; Ar=2,6‐iPr2C6H3). Reaction of the amido derivative with CO2 and CO leads to a simple insertion into the Ni?N bond to give stable carbamate and carbamoyl derivatives, respectively, the pincer ligand backbone remaining intact in both cases. In contrast, the analogous reactions with the siloxide derivative produced kinetically labile insertion products that either revert to the starting material (in the case of CO2) or react further to give the mixed‐valent, dinickel species [(POCOP)NiII{μ,κOPP′‐OCOCH(CH2CH2OPR2)2}Ni0(CO)2]. The zero‐valent center in the latter compound is ligated by a new ligand arising from transformation of the POCOP ligand backbone. The carbonylation and carboxylation of the siloxido derivative also produced minor quantities of a side‐product identified as the trinickel species, [{(η3‐allyl)Ni(μOP‐R2PO)2}2Ni], arising from total dismantling of the POCOP ligand. Similar reactivities were observed with isonitrile, ArNC: reaction with the siloxido derivative resulted in a complex sequence of steps involving initial insertion, a 1,3‐hydrogen shift, and an Arbuzov rearrangement to give [Ni(CNAr)4] and a methacrylamide based on fragments of the POCOP ligand. Oxygenation of the amido and siloxido derivatives led to the phosphinate derivative, [(POCOP)Ni(OP(O)R2)], arising from oxidative transformation of the original ligand frame; the reaction with the Ni‐NHAr derivative also gave ArHNP(O)R2 through a complex N?P bond‐forming reaction.  相似文献

Densities, viscosities, and ultrasonic velocities of binary mixtures of trichloromethane with methanol, ethanol, propan-1-ol, and butan-1-ol have been measured over the entire range of composition, at (298.15 and 308.15) K and at atmospheric pressure. From the experimental values of density, viscosity, and ultrasonic velocity, the excess molar volumes (VE), deviations in viscosity (Δη), and deviations in isentropic compressibility (Δκs) have been calculated. The excess molar volumes, deviations in viscosity and deviations in isentropic compressibility have been fitted to the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation. The Jouyban-Acree model is used to correlate the experimental values of density, viscosity, and ultrasonic velocity.  相似文献

The results of comprehensive equilibrium and kinetic studies of the iron(III)–sulfate system in aqueous solutions at I = 1.0 M (NaClO4), in the concentration ranges of T = 0.15–0.3 mM, and at pH 0.7–2.5 are presented. The most surprising result is, however, that the 2 FeSO? Fe3+ + Fe(SO4) equilibrium is established well before the system as a whole reaches its equilibrium state, and the main path of the formation of Fe(SO4) is the above fast (on the stopped flow scale) equilibrium process. The use and advantages of our recently elaborated programs for the evaluation of equilibrium and kinetic experiments are briefly outlined. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The densities, ρ, and ultrasonic speeds, u, have been measured in the binary liquid mixtures of acetonitrile (ACN) with 1‐hexanol, 1‐octanol and 1‐decanol, and in the pure components, as a function of composition at 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 °C. The deviations in isentropic compressibility, Δκs, excess molar volume, VE, deviations in ultrasonic speed, Δu, apparent molar compressibility, K?2, apparent molar volume, V?2, partial molar compressibility, $ {\rm \bar K}^\circ _{\phi,2} $, and partial molar volume, $ {\rm \bar V}^\circ _2 $, of 1‐alkanols in ACN have been calculated from the experimental data of densities and ultrasonic speeds. The variations of these parameters with composition of the mixtures indicate that the structure‐breaking effect dominates over that of the hydrogen‐bonding effect between unlike molecules, suggesting that ACN‐alkanol interaction is weaker than ACN‐ACN and alkanol‐alkanol interactions, and that the interaction (ACN‐alkanol) follows the order: 1‐hexanol > 1‐octanol > 1‐decanol. The excess molar volume data have been analysed by using Flory and Prigogine‐Flory‐Patterson theories. Further, the ultrasonic speeds in these mixtures were theoretically calculated with the help of several theories and empirical relations using the pure component data. The validity and relative merits of these theories and relations have been discussed.  相似文献

Speed of sound and density values for ternary systems (amino acid + salt + water): l-isoleucine/l-proline/l-glutamine in aqueous solutions of 1.5 M KCl, 1 M KNO3, and 0.5 M K2SO4 have been measured for several concentrations of amino acids at different temperatures (303.15, 308.15, 313.15, 318.15, and 323.15 K). Using speed of sound and density data, the thermodynamic parameters such as isentropic compressibility (κs), change in isentropic compressibility (Δκs) and relative change (Δκs/κ0) in isentropic compressibility have been computed. The isentropic compressibility values decrease with increase in the amino acid concentration as well as with temperature. The decrease in κs values with increase in concentration of l-isoleucine/l-proline/l-glutamine in 1.5 M KCl, 1 M KNO3, and 0.5 M K2SO4 has been ascribed to an increase in the number of incompressible zwitterions in solutions, and the formation of ‘zwitterions-ions’ and ‘zwitterions-water dipole’ entities in solutions. The decrease in κs values with increase in temperature has been attributed to the corresponding decrease of κrelax (a relaxational part of compressibility), which is dominant over the corresponding increase of κ (an instantaneous part of compressibility). The trends of variation of Δκs and Δκs/κ0 with variations in solute concentration and temperature have also been discussed in terms of solute-solute and solute-solvent intermolecular/interionic interactions operative in the systems.  相似文献

The mechanism of copper‐mediated Sonogashira couplings (so‐called Stephens–Castro and Miura couplings) is not well understood and lacks clear comprehension. In this work, the reactivity of a well‐defined aryl‐CuIII species ( 1 ) with p‐R‐phenylacetylenes (R=NO2, CF3, H) is reported and it is found that facile reductive elimination from a putative aryl‐CuIII‐acetylide species occurs at room temperature to afford the Caryl?Csp coupling species ( IR ), which in turn undergo an intramolecular reorganisation to afford final heterocyclic products containing 2H‐isoindole ( P , P , PHa ) or 1,2‐dihydroisoquinoline ( PHb ) substructures. Density Functional Theory (DFT) studies support the postulated reductive elimination pathway that leads to the formation of C?Csp bonds and provide the clue to understand the divergent intramolecular reorganisation when p‐H‐phenylacetylene is used. Mechanistic insights and the very mild experimental conditions to effect Caryl?Csp coupling in these model systems provide important insights for developing milder copper‐catalysed Caryl?Csp coupling reactions with standard substrates in the future.  相似文献

The bimolecular rate coefficients k and k were measured using the relative rate technique at (297 ± 3) K and 1 atmosphere total pressure. Values of (2.7 ± 0.7) and (4.0 ± 1.0) × 10?15 cm3 molecule?1 s?1 were observed for k and k, respectively. In addition, the products of 2‐butoxyethanol + NO3? and benzyl alcohol + NO3? gas‐phase reactions were investigated. Derivatizing agents O‐(2,3,4,5,6‐pentafluorobenzyl)hydroxylamine and N, O‐bis (trimethylsilyl)trifluoroacetamide and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) were used to identify the reaction products. For 2‐butoxyethanol + NO3? reaction: hydroxyacetaldehyde, 3‐hydroxypropanal, 4‐hydroxybutanal, butoxyacetaldehyde, and 4‐(2‐oxoethoxy)butan‐2‐yl nitrate were the derivatized products observed. For the benzyl alcohol + NO3? reaction: benzaldehyde ((C6H5)C(?O)H) was the only derivatized product observed. Negative chemical ionization was used to identify the following nitrate products: [(2‐butoxyethoxy)(oxido)amino]oxidanide and benzyl nitrate, for 2‐butoxyethanol + NO3? and benzyl alcohol + NO3?, respectively. The elucidation of these products was facilitated by mass spectrometry of the derivatized reaction products coupled with a plausible 2‐butoxyethanol or benzyl alcohol + NO3? reaction mechanisms based on previously published volatile organic compound + NO3? gas‐phase mechanisms. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

The basicity of a series of 3,5‐disubstituted 1,2,4‐oxadiazoles in aqueous H2SO4 was examined by means of UV and 1H‐NMR spectroscopy. The experimental data were analyzed by the modified Yates–McClelland method to yield the following pK values: 3,5‐dimethyl‐1,2,4‐oxadiazole, −1.66±0.06; 3‐methyl‐5‐phenyl‐1,2,4‐oxadiazole, −2.61±0.02; 3‐phenyl‐5‐methyl‐1,2,4‐oxadiazole, −2.95±0.01; 3,5‐diphenyl‐1,2,4‐oxadiazole, −3.55±0.06. A pK value of ca. −3.7 was estimated for the parent unsubstituted 1,2,4‐oxadiazole based on substituents' additivity increments. Possible protonation sites of the compounds were discussed in terms of both experimental data and theoretical calculations (HF/6‐31G**). Generally, protonation is most likely to occur at N(4) of the 1,2,4‐oxadiazole ring. However, concurrent formation of both N(4)‐ and N(2)‐protonated species in comparable amounts is possible in the case of 3‐phenyl‐1,2,4‐oxadiazoles.  相似文献

Water‐medium Ullmann reaction was carried out in CO2 atmosphere over the mesoporous Pd/Ph‐SBA‐15 catalyst exhibiting high activity and selectivity owing to the uniform dispersion of Pd particles and hydrophobilic mesoporous channels which facilitate the diffusion and adsorption of organic molecules, especially in an aqueous medium. The CO2 also shows promoting effect on activity and selectivity, which could be understood by considering the role of H+ in the mechanism of Ullmann reaction. The optimum Ph‐Ph yield (84.0%) was obtained at p=0.8 MPa and V=6.0 mL and could remain almost unchanged even after the catalyst has been used repetitively for 5 times.  相似文献

Published experimental studies concerning the determination of rate constants for the reaction F + H2 → HF + H are reviewed critically and conclusions are presented as to the most accurate results available. Based on these results, the recommended Arrhenius expression for the temperature range 190–376 K is k = (1.1 ± 0.1) × 10−10 exp |-(450 ± 50)/T| cm3 molecule−1 s−1, and the recommended value for the rate constant at 298 K is k = (2.43 ± 0.15) × 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1. The recommended Arrhenius expression for the reaction F + D2 → DF + D, for the same temperature range, based on the recommended expression for k and accurate results for the kinetic isotope effect k/k is k = (1.06 ± 0.12) × 10×10 exp |-(635 ± 55)/T|cm3 molecule−1 s−1, and the recommended value for 298 K is k = (1.25 ± 0.10) × 10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Applying the wave functions and exciton energies determined (and described in two previous articles) for YBa2Cu3O7, we calculated the effective potential Veff assuming as a first approximation of the “two‐bands” model an excitonic mechanism for superconductivity. With the help of the obtained Veff, we solved the gap equation for the cases Δ(Tc)=0 and Δ(T=0). We obtained a critical temperature Tc value of 87 K and Δmax=19 meV. These results which give for the ratio 2Δmax/kBTc=5.03 agree very well with the corresponding experimental values (Tc=92 K, Δmax≈20 meV, 2Δmax/kBTc≈5.0). In investigating the symmetry of the gap as a function of k1 [Δ( k1 )], we found a dominantly d wave with a small s wave admixture in good agreement with experiment. It should be mentioned that in this case starting from first‐principle band structures (no adjustable parameters; the density functional methods still cannot provide exciton energies), the most important characteristics of the normal and superconducting state of a cuprate high Tc superconductor were quantitatively calculated in very good agreement with experiment. ©1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Ultrasonic velocity and density values have been measured for ternary systems (amino acid/di-peptide + salt + water): l-leucine/l-asparagine/glycylglycine each in 1.5 M aqueous solutions of NaCl or NaNO3 or KNO3 used as solvents for several concentrations of amino acids/di-peptide at different temperatures in the range of 298.15-323.15 K. The ultrasonic velocity values have been found to increase with increase in amino acids/di-peptide concentration and temperature in all the systems. The increase in ultrasonic velocity with increase in concentration has been discussed in terms of electrostatic interactions occurring between terminal groups of zwitterions (NH4+ and COO) and Na+, K+, Cl, NO3 ions. The interactions of water dipoles with cations/anions and with zwitterions have also been taken into consideration. It has been observed that the ion-zwitterion and ion-dipole attractive forces are stronger than those of ion-hydrophobic repulsive forces. These interactions comprehensively introduce the cohesion into solutions under investigation. The cohesive forces are further enhanced on successive increases in solute concentration. Using ultrasonic velocity and density data, the parameters such as isentropic compressibility (κs), change (Δκs) and relative change (Δκs/κ0) in isentropic compressibility, specific acoustic impedance (Z) and relative association (RA) have been computed. The isentropic compressibility values decrease with increase in the concentration of solutes as well as with temperature. The decrease in κs values with increase in concentration of l-leucine, l-asparagine and glycylglycine in 1.5 M aqueous solutions of NaCl, NaNO3 and KNO3 have been explained in terms of an increase in the number of incompressible molecules/zwitterions in solutions and the formation of compact zwitterions-water dipole and zwitterions-ions structures in solutions. The decrease in κs values with increase in temperature has been attributed to the corresponding decrease of κrelax. (relaxational part of compressibility), which is dominant over the corresponding increase of κ (instantaneous part of compressibility). The trends of variations of Δκs, Δκs/κ0, Z and RA with change of concentration and temperature have also been interpreted in terms of various intermolecular/interionic interactions existing in the systems.  相似文献

Densities (ρ), viscosities (η), and speeds of sound, (u) of the binary mixtures of 2-propanol with n-alkanes (n-hexane, n-octane, and n-decane) were measured over the entire composition range at 298.15 and 308.15 K and at atmospheric pressure. Using the experimental values of density, viscosity and speed of sound, the excess molar volumes (V E), viscosity deviations (Δη), deviations in speed of sound (Δu), isentropic compressibility (κ s), deviations in isentropic compressibility (Δκ s), and excess Gibbs energies of activation of viscous flow (ΔG* E) were calculated. These results were fitted to the Redlich–Kister type polynomial equation. The variations of these excess parameters with composition were discussed from the viewpoint of intermolecular interactions in these mixtures. The excess properties are found to be either positive or negative depending on the molecular interactions and the nature of liquid mixtures.  相似文献

Diversification of the βcarboline skeleton has been demonstrated to assemble a βcarboline library starting from the tetrahydro‐βcarboline framework. This strategy affords feasible access to heteroaryl‐, aryl‐, alkenyl‐, or alkynyl‐substituted β‐carbolines at the C1, C3, or C8 position through three categorically different types of transition‐metal‐catalyzed C?C bond‐forming reactions, in the presence of multiple potentially reactive positions. These site‐selective functionalizations include; 1) the Cu‐catalyzed C1/C3‐selective decarboxylative C?C and C?Csp coupling of hexahydro‐βcarboline‐3‐carboxylic acid with a C?H bond of a heteroarene or terminal alkyne; 2) the chelation‐assisted Pd‐catalyzed C1/C8‐selective C?H arylation of hexahydro‐β‐carboline with aryl boron reagents; and 3) the chelation‐assisted Pd‐catalyzed C1/C3‐selective oxidative C?H/C?H cross‐coupling of βcarboline‐N‐oxide with arenes, heteroarenes, or alkenes. The saturated structural feature of the hexahydro‐βcarboline framework can increase reactivity and control site selectivity. The robustness of these approaches has been demonstrated through the synthesis of hyrtioerectine analogues and perlolyrine. We believe that these strategies could provide inspiration for late‐stage diversifications of bioactive core scaffolds.  相似文献
