For the wave equation, time-optimal control problems with two-sided boundary controls of three basic types are considered in classes of weak generalized solutions. Stable algorithms for computing approximate optimal times and optimal boundary controls are developed by modifying algorithms proposed earlier for the case of strong generalized solutions. The approximate solutions are proved to converge as the parameters of the finite-dimensional approximation are asymptotically refined and the errors in the specified terminal functions are reduced.  相似文献

Problems with one-sided boundary controls and a homogeneous Robin boundary condition set on the uncontrolled end are considered in the class of strong generalized solutions of the variable coefficient wave equation. In the adjoint class of weak generalized solutions of the dual problems with one-sided observations, new constructive observability inequalities are obtained that differ from previously known ones by an optimal threshold time. It is shown that, in the considered functional classes, the estimated constants degenerate as the time interval length approaches the threshold. Numerical illustrations are given showing that the stability of approximate solutions to control problems can be substantially enhanced by taking into account a priori information contained in the resulting observability inequalities.  相似文献

For the wave equation, problems with two-sided boundary controls of three basic types are considered. Constructive estimates for the bounded invertibility of the control operator with known estimated constants are obtained in classes of weak generalized solutions on intervals of subcritical length. With the use of these estimates, stable numerical solutions of the considered problems on time intervals of strictly subcritical length can be found by applying a variational method. The main difference of the present estimated constants from those considered previously in the case of strong generalized solutions is that they degenerate as the time interval length approaches its critical value.  相似文献

For the wave equation with variable coefficients, problems with one-side boundary controls of three basic types and a boundary condition of the third kind at the uncontrolled end are considered. For dual problems with one-side boundary observations in the classes of strong generalized solutions, new constructive observability inequalities are obtained that are superior to the earlier known ones in two respects. First, inequalities with an optimal value of the controllability-observability threshold are derived, and second, the value of the final evaluation constant is bounded away from zero on time intervals whose length is close to the critical length. This opens up a possibility of constructing stable approximate solutions to the indicated classes of dual control and observation problems on time intervals not only of an arbitrary supercritical but also of precisely critical length.  相似文献

We study realistic models of relativistic radiating stars undergoing gravitational collapse which have vanishing Weyl tensor components. Previous investigations are generalized by retaining the inherent nonlinearity at the boundary. We transform the boundary condition to an Abel equation of the first kind. We consider the impulsive boundary value problems for two classes of fractional differential equations with two different Caputo fractional derivatives and generalized boundary value conditions. Natural formulae of a solution for these problems are introduced, which can be regarded as a novelty item. Some sufficient conditions for existence and uniqueness of the solutions to this nonlinear equations are established by applying well-known Banach’s contraction mapping principle, Laplace transforms and some skills of inequalities. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results.  相似文献

An interesting feature of the generalized Abelian Higgs vortex model introduced by M. Lohe is that it allows a wider class of Higgs self-interaction potential functions, yet, noninteracting multivortices are still present in the critical coupling phase as the solutions of a modified Bogomol'nyi system. In this paper, we add two new classes of multivortex solutions to Lohe's model. We prove that, under the 't Hooft boundary condition, there are solutions realizing a periodic lattice structure and a quantized flux. A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for the existence of such solutions. We also show that the Meissner effect occurs in the model. Moreover, we establish for any given vortex distribution in the plane, the existence of a one-parameter family of gauge-distinct solutions of infinite energy.  相似文献

A reduction approach is developed in order to construct generalized simple wave solutions to quasilinear nonhomogenous hyperbolic systems of first order PDEs. The solutions sought must possess a special ansatz which permits time-evolution of the profile of a simple wave due to a source-like term. These solutions involve a free function which can be used to fit classes of initial or boundary value problems. By means of the proposed approach two governing models of interest in a variety of applications are investigated. Model constitutive laws consistent with the full reduction process are obtained and the occurence of singularities at a finite time for the resulting solutions is analysed. Furthermore a comparison is made between the results obtained within the present theoretical framework and the standard simple wave solutions of the corresponding homogeneous (source free) governing models.  相似文献

In this paper, for the second initial boundary value problem for Schrödinger systems, we obtain a performance of generalized solutions in a neighborhood of conical points on the boundary of the base of infinite cylinders. New classes of generalized Nevanlinna functions, which under multiplication with an arbitrary fixed symmetric rational function remain generalized Nevanlinna functions, are introduced. Characterizations for these classes of functions are established by connecting the canonical factorizations of the product function and the original generalized Nevanlinna function in a constructive manner. Also, a detailed functional analytic treatment of these classes of functions is carried out by investigating the connection between the realizations of the product function and the original function. The operator theoretic treatment of these realizations is based on the notions of rigged spaces, boundary triplets, and associated Weyl functions.  相似文献

The method of boundary integral equations is developed as applied to initial-boundary value problems for strictly hyperbolic systems of second-order equations characteristic of anisotropic media dynamics. Based on the theory of distributions (generalized functions), solutions are constructed in the space of generalized functions followed by passing to integral representations and classical solutions. Solutions are considered in the class of singular functions with discontinuous derivatives, which are typical of physical problems describing shock waves. The uniqueness of the solutions to the initial-boundary value problems is proved under certain smoothness conditions imposed on the boundary functions. The Green’s matrix of the system and new fundamental matrices based on it are used to derive integral analogues of the Gauss, Kirchhoff, and Green formulas for solutions and solving singular boundary integral equations.  相似文献

In some earlier publications it has been shown that the solutions of the boundary integral equations for some mixed boundary value problems for the Helmholtz equation permit integral representations in terms of solutions of associated complicated singular algebraic ordinary differential equations. The solutions of these differential equations, however, are required to be known on some infinite interval on the real line, which is unsatisfactory from a practical point of view. In this paper, for the example of one specific boundary integral equation, the relevant solutions of the associated differential equation are expressed by integrals which contain only one unknown generalized function, the support of this generalized function is no longer unbounded but a compact subset of the real line. This generalized function is a distributional solution of the homogeneous boundary integral equation. By this null space distribution the boundary integral equation can be solved for arbitrary right-hand sides, this solution method can be considered of being analogous to the method of variation of parameters in the theory of ordinary differential equations. The nature of the singularities of the null space distribution is worked out and it is shown that the null space distribution itself can be expressed by solutions of the associated ordinary differential equation.  相似文献
