Ortho-para conversion of isolated interstitial H2 in single-crystalline Si is studied by Raman scattering. This process is suggested to be caused by the interaction of H2 with the nuclear magnetic moment of 29Si. At 77 K the ortho-to-para conversion rate is approximately 0.015 h(-1) for all Si samples employed in the experiments. At 300 K, the reverse para-to-ortho transition is observed. It occurs with a rate of roughly 0.18 h(-1) and results in a thermodynamically nonequilibrium ortho-para ratio.  相似文献

基于多频带金属开口谐振环结构,利用GaAs材料的光敏特性和VO2薄膜的热致相变特性,设计了一种既能实现光控又能实现温控的太赫兹(Terahertz, THz)波调制器,研究了光强和薄膜温度对 THz波调制特性的影响。结果表明,随着光强的增加,谐振频率均出现蓝移且谐振强度减小,当光强达到0.2 μJ·cm-2时,第二个谐振点(0.52 THz)蓝移了0.14 THz,透射幅度增加达50%;随着VO2温度增加至相变温度以上,THz波透射幅度急剧减小,在0.63 THz处透射幅度减小达45.5%;当光强和温度同时控制时,随着光强和温度的增加,谐振点频率蓝移且谐振点处的THz波透射幅度增加,但在温度超过相变温度后,则温度控制起主导作用。设计的THz波调制器能通过光控和温控实现对THz波的明显调制效果,可为实现多功能的THz波功能器件的设计及应用提供参考。  相似文献

Polyvinyl alcohol?polyethylene glycol?silver (PVA–PEG–Ag) nanocomposites were prepared by adding Ag nanoparticles with 5?wt.% to the (PVA–PEG) blend. The films of 0.05?mm thickness were prepared by the casting method. Samples from these films were irradiated with infrared (IR) laser fluences ranging from 1.7 to 15?J/cm2. The effect of IR laser radiation on the structural properties of PVA–PEG–Ag has been investigated using X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The results indicate that the crosslinking dominates due to laser exposure at the fluence range 1.7–15?J/cm2, reducing the ordering character of the nanocomposite samples. Also, the variation of transition temperatures with the laser fluence has been determined using differential thermal analysis. The nanocomposite thermograms were characterized by the appearance of an endothermic peak due to melting, and were found to be dependent on the laser fluence. In addition, the color changes due to laser irradiation were computed using the transmission data. It is found that the color difference is largely dependent on the proportions of the red color component.  相似文献

It is shown that for pulsed optical parametric oscillators there is an optimum pumppulse duration at which the threshold fluence is a minimum. The dependence of the threshold fluence on pump laser pulse duration is found to be substantial for lossy narrowband optical parametric oscillators. The pulse energy requirement for the pump laser may be substantially lowered by operating it at a pulse duration close to the optimum.  相似文献

Recent developments in high-finesse cavities now make broadly tunable, continuous-wave Raman lasers possible. The design and preliminary characterization of what is to the authors' knowledge the first continuous-wave Raman laser in H(2) are presented. The threshold is currently at 2 mW of pump, making diode laser pumping possible. The maximum photon conversion efficiency observed was 35% at 7.6 mW of pump power.  相似文献

An erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) constructed in a master oscillator and power amplifier (MOPA) configuration is analyzed. The pump powers for the fiber cavity laser and the booster amplifier stages are managed properly to achieve maximal pump conversion efficiency. Our design achieves a pump conversion efficiency of 91.4%, corresponding to a quantum efficiency of 96.6%, for a 1565.8 nm MOPA laser pumped by a total power of 300 mW at 1480 nm. The optimized MOPA laser shows a 25% enhancement in the pump conversion efficiency, compared to a non-MOPA fiber laser. A side lobe suppression ratio of 48 dB for the optimized MOPA laser is observed.  相似文献

室温下采用中心波长约970 nm准直输出的大功率激光二极管模块作为抽运源,端面抽运双程吸收的腔型结构,抽运原子数分数为8%的Yb:Y2O3多晶透明陶瓷片获得连续激光输出。抽运阈值功率为7 W,当抽运功率达到35 W时,获得优化连续激光输出功率为10.5 W,光光转换效率为30%,斜率效率为37.5%。激光输出功率随抽运功率基本呈线性增长。采用更高功率抽运源、优化谐振腔结构和减小热效应的影响,Yb∶Y2O3陶瓷激光器的输出功率和效率将会得到进一步提高。  相似文献

What is to the authors' knowledge the first experimental demonstration of a nonresonant cw Raman laser pumped by a tunable external-cavity diode laser (ECDL) is presented. The ECDL is phase-frequency locked to a high-finesse Raman laser cavity containing diatomic hydrogen (H(2)) by the Pound-Drever-Hall locking technique. The Stokes lasing threshold occurs at a pump power of 400 +/- 30 muW, and a maximum photon conversion efficiency of 12.0 +/- 1.3% is achieved at 1.6 mW of pump power. A 40-nm tuning range of the cw Stokes emission, 1174-1214 nm, is obtained by tuning of the wavelength of the ECDL pump source.  相似文献

A study is presented of the properties of Ag nanoparticles produced by nanosecond pulsed laser ablation in twice-distilled water. An Ag target was immersed in the liquid and irradiated by the fundamental, second, third and fourth harmonics of a Nd:YAG laser system to create different colloids. Two specific boundary values of the laser fluence were applied for each wavelength. The properties of the nanoparticles at different wavelengths of the laser radiation were examined. The characterization of the colloids was performed immediately after their fabrication. Spherical and spherical-like shapes of the nanoparticles created were established. The formation of nanowires was observed when the second and the third harmonics of the laser were used. It is connected with self-absorption of the incident laser light from the already-created nanoparticles and depends also on the laser fluence. The size distribution of the nanoparticles is estimated by transmission electron microscopy. Generally, their mean size and standard deviation decreased as the wavelength of the incident laser light was increased and increased with the increase of the laser fluence. The substantial discrepancy between the results already commented on for both characteristics considered and others, obtained by dynamic light scattering, is discussed. The structure of the nanoparticles was established to be single and polycrystalline, and the phase composition in both cases is identified as consisting of cubic silver. The nanoparticles are slightly oxidized.  相似文献

The cross section for incoherent neutron scattering on solid ortho hydrogen in the ordered phase is investigated for processes where ortho-para conversions take place in combination with the excitation of phonons and librons. The phonon part of the cross section is calculated and compared with the experimental results of Stein, Stiller and Stockmeyer [2]. The coupling of the librons to the ortho-para conversion is discussed. We show that librons give a contribution to the cross section in the vicinity of both the ortho → para and the para → ortho conversion line.  相似文献

Pulsed laser ablation of Ag and Au targets, immersed in double-distilled water is used to synthesize metallic nanoparticles (NPs). The targets are irradiated for 20 min by laser pulses at different wavelengths—the fundamental and the second harmonic (SHG) (λ = 1064 and 532 nm, respectively) of a Nd:YAG laser system. The ablation process is performed at a repetition rate of 10 Hz and with pulse duration of 15 ns. Two boundary values of the laser fluence for each wavelength under the experimental conditions chosen were used—it varied from several J/cm2 to tens of J/cm2. Only as-prepared samples were measured not later than two hours after fabrication. The NPs shape and size distribution were evaluated from transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images. The suspensions obtained were investigated by optical transmission spectroscopy in the near UV and in the visible region in order to get information about these parameters. Spherical shape of the NPs at the low laser fluence and appearance of aggregation and building of nanowires at the SHG and high laser fluence was seen. Dependence of the mean particle size at the SHG on the laser fluence was established. Comments on the results obtained have been also presented.  相似文献

We report extensive, accurate fully quantum, time-independent calculations of cross sections at low collision energies, and rate coefficients at low temperatures for the H? + H?(v = 0, j) → H? + H?(v = 0, j') reaction. Different transitions are considered, especially the ortho-para conversion (j = 1 → j' = 0) which is of key importance in astrophysics. This conversion process appears to be very efficient and dominant at low temperature, with a rate coefficient of 4.15 × 10?1? cm3 molecule?1 s?1 at 10 K. The quantum mechanical results are also compared with statistical quantum predictions and the reaction is found to be statistical in the low temperature regime (T < 100 K).  相似文献

研究了800nm飞秒激光照射下45°高反膜ZrO2-Si O2的破坏及其超快动力学过程。利用原子力显微镜和扫描电镜观察了材料的烧蚀形貌,测量了破坏阈值与脉冲宽度、烧蚀深度与脉冲能量的依赖关系。随着脉冲宽度从50fs增加到900fs,其烧蚀阈值从0.35J/cm2增加到1.78J/cm2。烧蚀深度与激光能流密度近似成对数关系。当激光强度略高于烧蚀阈值时,材料很快被烧蚀到几百纳米,烧蚀深度表现出明显的层状特性。同时,利用建立的抽运探针实验系统,测量了高强度抽运脉冲作用下材料对探针光的反射率随延迟时间的变化,揭示了薄膜烧蚀的超快动力学过程。实验结果表明高反膜表层的材料对烧蚀特性有重要影响。  相似文献

Laser fragmentation of Ag nanoparticles in Ag hydrosol was studied by simultaneous measurements of the transmitted fluence of the incident laser beam and the time evolution of the surface plasmon extinction (SPE) spectra. The experiments showed that the laser fragmentation in a small volume of hydrosol proceeds during first 20 pulses and then reaches saturation. The value of the transmitted fluence corresponding to saturation increases with incident pulse fluence, but the impact of the first pulse applied to the hydrosols shows an optical limitation. Fluences above 303 mJ/cm2 cause the formation of less stable, aggregating nanoparticles, while fluences below 90 mJ/cm2 do not provide sufficient energy for efficient fragmentation. The interval of fluences between 90–303 mJ/cm2 is optimal for fragmentation, since stable hydrosols constituted by small, non-aggregated nanoparticles are formed.  相似文献

In this work we report the results of investigation of silver (Ag) nanoparticles prepared on a silica substrate by laser ablation. Our attention was focused on the mean diameter, size distribution and optical absorption properties of nanoparticles prepared in vacuum by using different laser wavelengths. The fundamental wavelength and the second, third, and fourth harmonics of a nanosecond Nd:YAG laser were used for nanoparticles fabrication. The corresponding values of the laser fluence for each wavelength were: 0.6 J/cm2 at 266 nm, 0.8 J/cm2 at 355 nm, 2.8 J/cm2 at 532 nm, and 2 J/cm2 at 1064 nm. The Ag nanoparticles produced have mean diameters in the range from 2 nm to 12 nm as the nanoparticles’ size decreases with the decrease of the wavelength used. The presence of the Ag nanoparticles was also evidenced by the appearance of a strong optical absorption band in the measured UV-VIS spectra associated with surface plasmon resonance (SPR). A redshift and widening of the absorption peak were observed as the laser wavelength was increased. Some additional investigations were performed in order to clarify the structure of the Ag nanoparticles.  相似文献

The first-Stokes conversion efficiency for a stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) is usually very low in gaseous oxygen media. In 3.0 Mpa O2, a single longitudinal mode second harmonic Nd:YAG laser pump source gives a typical vibrational first-Stokes conversion efficiency of only 2.5%, In comparison, the accompanying stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) attains a reflectivity of 67%. However, by seeding an OPO beam into the Raman cavity, the first-Stokes photon conversion efficiency now attains a peak value of 54%, while the SBS reflectivity reduces to 5% in a 6.1 Mpa 41:59 O2/ He mixture. This 54% efficiency was obtained for a seeder laser pulse-width less than one half that of pump laser (6.8 ns). A first-Stokes peak power conversion efficiency as high as 88% has been obtained when the pump and seeder pulse peaks coincide. So, we may expect a higher first-Stokes photon conversion efficiency if the seeder pulse-width can be made equal to or larger than that of the pump pulse. On the other hand, the beam quality of the first-Stokes in an O2/ He mixture excels that of the pump laser for a seeder energy of 5 mJ and pump energy of 50 mJ. However, at pump energies higher than 105 mJ and a pump laser repetition rate of 10 Hz, the thermal defocusing effect worsens the first-Stokes beam quality. This thermal defocusing effect is a result of the Raman heat release and could be eliminated by fast circulating and cooling the Raman gas medium.  相似文献

A crystalline Raman laser is pumped at 90° to the Raman laser axis by a single pass from a line-focused 532 nm pump laser of pulse duration 10 ns. The Raman laser threshold was 6.1 mJ, and at 12 mJ pump energy, a maximum output energy of 2.7 mJ was obtained with a slope efficiency of 46%. The threshold pump intensity is within a factor of 2 of the same device when end-pumped. The results highlight significant potential for coherent beam conversion and combination with enhanced degrees of flexibility and increased power.  相似文献

利用10倍的显微物镜将近红外飞秒激光脉冲汇聚到宽带隙半导体材料6H SiC的前表面,研究样品的烧蚀及诱导微细结构。用扫描电镜(Scanning electron microscope,SEM)及光学显微镜测量烧蚀斑。利用烧蚀面积与激光脉冲能量的关系确定SiC的烧蚀阈值。给出了SiC样品的烧蚀阈值与飞秒激光波长的依赖关系。实验结果表明,可见光区随波长增加,烧蚀阈值从0.29J/cm2增加到0.67J/cm2;而在近红外区,SiC的烧蚀阈值为0.70J/cm2左右,基本上不随激光波长变化而改变。结合计算结果,可以认为在飞秒激光烧蚀SiC的过程中,在近红外区,光致电离和碰撞电离均起到了重要的作用;而在可见光区,光致电离的作用相对大一些。  相似文献
