The proof of the index formula of the Toeplitz operator with a continuous symbol on the Hardy space for the unit circle in the complex plane depends on the Hopf theorem. However, the analogue result of the Hopf theorem does not hold on a general connected domain. Hence, the extension of the index formula of the Toeplitz operator on a general domain needs a method which is different from that for the case of the unit circle. In the present paper, the index formula of the Toeplitz operator with a continuous symbol on the finite complex connected domain in the complex plane is obtained, and the cohomology groups of Toeplitz algebras on general domains are discussed. In addition, the Toeplitz operators with symbols in QC are also discussed.  相似文献

For a smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain, we describe the boundary singularity of weighted Bergman kernels with respect to weights behaving like a power (possibly fractional) of a defining function, and, more generally, of the reproducing kernels of Sobolev spaces of holomorphic functions of any real order. This generalizes the classical result of Fefferman for the unweighted Bergman kernel. Finally, we also exhibit a holomorphic continuation of the kernels with respect to the Sobolev parameter to the entire complex plane. Our main tool are the generalized Toeplitz operators of Boutet de Monvel and Guillemin.  相似文献

The composition operators on H2 whose symbols are hyperbolic automorphisms of the unit disk fixing ±1 comprise a one-parameter group and the analytic Toeplitz operators coming from covering maps of annuli centered at the origin whose radii are reciprocals also form a one-parameter group. Using the eigenvectors of the composition operators and of the adjoints of the Toeplitz operators, a direct unitary equivalence is found between the restrictions to zH2 of the group of Toeplitz operators and the group of adjoints of these composition operators. On the other hand, it is shown that there is not a unitary equivalence of the groups of Toeplitz operators and the adjoints of the composition operators on the whole of H2, but there is a similarity between them.  相似文献

We consider three topics connected with coinvariant subspaces of the backward shift operator in Hardy spaces Hp:

properties of truncated Toeplitz operators;

Carleson-type embedding theorems for the coinvariant subspaces;

factorizations of pseudocontinuable functions from H1.

A meromorphic analogue to the corona problem is formulated and studied and its solutions are characterized as being left-invertible in a space of meromorphic functions. The Fredholmness of Toeplitz operators with symbol G∈(L(R))2×2 is shown to be equivalent to that of a Toeplitz operator with scalar symbol , provided that the Riemann-Hilbert problem admits a solution such that the meromorphic corona problems with data are solvable. The Fredholm properties are characterized in terms of and the corresponding meromorphic left-inverses. Partial index estimates for the symbols and Fredholmness criteria are established for several classes of Toeplitz operators.  相似文献

We study some algebraic properties of Toeplitz operators on the Dirichlet space. We first characterize (semi-)commuting Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols. Next we study the product problem of when product of two Toeplitz operators is another Toeplitz operator. The paper establishes error orders for integral limit approximations to the traces of products of truncated Toeplitz operators generated by integrable real symmetric functions defined on the real line. These approximations and the corresponding error bounds are of importance in the statistical analysis of continuous-time stationary processes (asymptotic distributions and large deviations of Toeplitz type quadratic functionals, estimation of the spectrum, etc.). The results improve the rates obtained by the authors (in an earlier paper). An explicit second-order asymptotic expansion is found for the trace of a product of two truncated Toeplitz operators generated by the spectral densities of continuous-time stationary fractional Riesz-Bessel motions. The order of magnitude of the second term in this expansion is shown to depend on the long-memory parameters of the processes. The second-order term provides a substantially better approximation to the original functional, as compared with the first-order approximation. M. In this paper, we study the commutativity of Toeplitz operators with continuous symbols on the Dirichlet space. First, under a mild condition concerning absolute continuity we characterize (semi-)commuting Toeplitz operators. This is a generalization of the case of harmonic symbols. We prove a new criterion that guarantees self-adjointness of Toeplitz operators with unbounded operator-valued symbols. Our criterion applies, in particular, to symbols with Lipschitz continuous derivatives, which is the natural class of Hamiltonian functions for classical mechanics. For this we extend the Berger-Coburn estimate to the case of vector-valued Segal-Bargmann spaces. Finally, we apply our result to prove self-adjointness for a class of (operator-valued) quadratic forms on the space of Schwartz functions in the Schrödinger representation.  相似文献
