Degradation of imidazolium ionic liquid, [bmim+][TFSA] and iodide solution of [bmim+][TFSA] by UV-laser irradiation has been studied through ground-state absorption and transient absorption spectroscopy. We found that excited state [bmim+]* undergoes degradation efficiently.  相似文献

Solvent-free reactions were used for the synthesis of a series of imidazolium-based ionic salts: 3,3′-[pyridine-2,6-diylbis(methylene)]bis(1-R-1H-imidazol-3-ium)chloride; (R = methyl, ethyl, butyl, isobutyl, hexyl, and benzyl). A simple and effective filtration process was used to isolate all the products in high purity and with yields ?93% within a 24 h period. The highly pure ionic compounds which are precursors to N-heterocyclic carbene ligands used in catalysis were fully characterized as gray-white hygroscopic salts.  相似文献

Density measurements are reported performed on three 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium-based ([Cn-mim], n=2,4,6n=2,4,6) ionic liquids with tetrafluoroborate anion at atmospheric pressure at 15 temperatures from 281 to 353 K. The buoyancy method was employed, using the microbalance of the Krüss K100MK2 tensiometer. At each temperature from 33 to 55 individual buoyancy readings were taken in most cases. The density average values at particular temperatures are presented with estimated total standard uncertainty less than ±0.4±0.4 kg m−3 (3.3 ×10−4?×104?). An empirical density–temperature equations have been developed describing the temperature dependence of each ionic liquid density. The 58 new experimental data points on the density–temperature relation of the three ionic liquids of interest are means calculated from about 3000 individual density readings, which have been altogether taken in the present study.  相似文献

Nine chiral room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs), which contain a chiral moiety and a urea functionality bonded to a imidazolium ring, have been designed and synthesized. The synthesis of these ionic liquids is concise and practical due to the commercial availability of the starting materials. These novel RTILs were readily prepared from 1-(3-aminopropyl)imidazole and amino acid ester derived isocyanates. We envision that these new chiral RTILs can serve as effective reaction media as well as chiral catalysts, which are presently being investigated in our laboratory.  相似文献

In this work, we present a systematic contact angles study of a series of 1-alkyl, 3-methyl-imidazolium ionic liquids (ILs) on well-defined polar and nonpolar monolayer surfaces supported on Si wafers. The advancing and receding contact angles of ILs were used to determine the surface energy of the monolayer surfaces using Neumann's equation-of-state and Zisman's critical surface tension approaches. In parallel, the contact angles of conventional probe fluids (molecular liquids) including water, formamide, methylene iodide, ethylene glycol, and hexadecane were determined on the same surfaces. The results obtained showed a great deal of similarity in wetting behavior of ionic vs molecular probe fluids: the contact angles of both sets of liquids followed the same patterns in accord with the surface tension of the fluid. A good agreement was found between the surface energy determined by different sets of liquids.  相似文献

Imidazole substituted with a polyfluoropolyether chain based on HFPO trimer combined with various polyfluoroalkyl triflates produced novel highly fluorous ionic liquids. Their metathesis with four different anions generated a final set of 20 fluorous ionic liquids of waxy or viscous liquid character, which are all soluble in perfluorinated solvents. Two model reactions using selected ionic liquid, the opening of a THF ring with benzoyl chloride under Friedel-Crafts conditions and substitution of benzyl chloride with sodium azide, led to decomposition of the ionic liquid. However, Diels-Alder reaction of 2,3-dimethylbuta-1,3-diene with dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate in a fluorous ionic liquid resulted in a reasonable enhancing of the reaction rate with smooth recycle of the fluorous solvent. The fluorophilicity of these fluorous ionic liquids ranges from more than 10 for water, toluene or dichloromethane to less than 0.2 for acetonitrile or methanol.  相似文献

An effective method was developed to use an enzyme in ionic liquids; the asymmetric reduction of ketones by Geotrichum candidum in ionic liquids proceeded smoothly with excellent enantioselectivity when the cell was immobilized on water-absorbing polymer containing water, while the reaction without the polymer did not proceed.  相似文献

The solubility of CO2 in imidazolium ionic liquids (ILs), 1-butyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim][BF4]), 1-hexyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([hmim][BF4]) and 1-octyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrtafluoroborate ([omim][BF4]) was determined at 305-25 K and pressures from 1 to 9 MPa. The influence of chain length of alkyl substituents on the imidazolium cation on the solubility of CO2 was investigated. The differences in solubility with chain length are in the sequence [omim][BF4] > [hmim][BF4] > [bmim][BF4]. The solubility data were correlated by the extended Henry's law, and enthalpy, Gibbs free energy and entropy changes were obtained.  相似文献

A type of multifunctional periodic mesoporous organosilica supported dual imidazolium ionic liquids PMO-IL-anion have been designed and prepared, characterized and evaluated as heterogeneous catalysts for the Knoevenagel condensation. The as-fabricated supported ionic liquids show good catalytic performances in the Knoevenagel condensation at room temperature, especially the supported ionic liquids PMO-IL-NTf2 and PMO-IL-PF6, based on a synergetic effect between the Lewis-base-type sites of dual functionalized imidazolium ionic liquids and active sites of periodic mesoporous organosilica. The best catalytic performance over PMO-IL-NTf2 was observed with excellent yields of 93~99% in a short time of 20~30 min. In addition, the heterogeneous catalyst offers simple operation for recovery and the recycling test showed that it could be reused for five times without significant loss of catalytic activity, thus making this process economical and environmental-friendly.  相似文献

Room temperature ionic liquids (ILs) are used as a green recyclable reaction media for the α-monohalogenation of 1,3-diketones, β-keto-esters and cyclic ketones with N-halosuccinimides in excellent yields in the absence of a catalyst. The amount of available accurate experimental data on the surface tension of ionic liquids is still limited; in many cases the data are rare or even absent. In the present study, air-liquid interfacial tension data were determined experimentally for five 1-Cn-3-methylimidazolium based ionic liquids (n = 2, 4, and 6), three with trifluoromethanesulfonate and two with tetrafluoroborate anion, at atmospheric pressure in the temperature range from 268 to 356 K. The resultant surface tension data are average values of the measurements repeated many times at each set point temperature. The accuracy of the results, was confirmed by employing the Wilhelmy plate and the du Noüy ring methods in parallel, using the Krüss K100MK2 tensiometer. For the Wilhelmy plate data the combined standard uncertainty is estimated to be about 0.05 mN m−1. The data obtained by du Noüy method show about up to seven times greater scatter than those obtained by the Wilhelmy plate method. To the 50 up to now published surface tension values for the five studied ionic liquids the present study adds further 175 data points. In contrast to that of n-alkanes, the surface tension of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium based ionic liquids decreases and their surface entropy increases with the cation alkyl chain length.  相似文献

A new approach for ionic liquid based enzyme-assisted extraction (ILEAE) of chlorogenic acid (CGA) from Eucommia ulmoides is presented in which enzyme pretreatment was used in ionic liquids aqueous media to enhance extraction yield. For this purpose, the solubility of CGA and the activity of cellulase were investigated in eight 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium ionic liquids. Cellulase in 0.5 M [C6mim]Br aqueous solution was found to provide better performance in extraction. The factors of ILEAE procedures including extraction time, extraction phase pH, extraction temperatures and enzyme concentrations were investigated. Moreover, the novel developed approach offered advantages in term of yield and efficiency compared with other conventional extraction techniques. Scanning electronic microscopy of plant samples indicated that cellulase treated cell wall in ionic liquid solution was subjected to extract, which led to more efficient extraction by reducing mass transfer barrier. The proposed ILEAE method would develope a continuous process for enzyme-assisted extraction including enzyme incubation and solvent extraction process. In this research, we propose a novel view for enzyme-assisted extraction of plant active component, besides concentrating on enzyme facilitated cell wall degradation, focusing on improvement of bad permeability of ionic liquids solutions.  相似文献

A mild two-step synthesis of perfluoroalkanesulfonyl chlorides starting from perfluoroalkyl iodides has been developed. Reaction of perfluoroalkyl iodides with sodium dithionite gave sodium perfluoroalkanesulfinate salts which were converted into perfluoroalkanesulfonyl chlorides in 25-73% yield (two steps) using N-chlorosuccinimide.  相似文献

Solubilities of ammonia in four conventional imidazolium ionic liquids: [Cnmim][BF4] (n = 2, 4, 6, 8) have been measured. Isothermally fixed temperatures are 293.15, 303.15, 313.15, 323.15 and 333.15 K; the pressure is from 0 to 1.0 MPa. High solubilities of ammonia are found, and it is also found that the solubilities of ammonia increase when the length of cations’ alkyl increases (the ILs have the same anion), that is: [C8mim]+ > [C6mim]+ > [C4mim]+ > [C2mim]+. The solubility data have been correlated by the Krichevisky–Kasarnovsky equation, and then Henry's constants and partial molar volumes of NH3 at infinite dilution are obtained. The thermodynamic properties such as solution enthalpy (ΔsolH), solution Gibbs free energy (ΔsolG), solution entropy (ΔsolS), and solution heat capacity (ΔsolCp) of these systems are obtained.  相似文献

Miscanthus is a potential feedstock for the production of biofuels. Lignocellulosic biomass is not soluble in conventional solvents, but Miscanthus and other lignocellulosic biomass have reasonable solubilities in some ionic liquids. The solubility of Miscanthus in a variety of hydrophilic ionic liquids was measured as a function of particle size, temperature and time for dissolution. In addition to temperature and time, the ionic liquid anion has a significant effect on solubility and rate of dissolution. The moisture content of Miscanthus lowers its solubility in certain ionic liquids. Chloride, acetate, and phosphate-based ionic liquids favor solubility. A tentative correlation for the solubility of Miscanthus is proposed in terms of Abraham solvation parameters obtained from quantum-chemical model COSMO-RS (Conductor like Screening Model-Real Solvents).  相似文献

In place of widely used dichloromethane, a series of ionic liquids, ILs, was employed as a reaction medium for the one-flask preparation of tetraarylporphyrins. The porphyrin yield in the IL was comparable to that in the dichloromethane, as long as both the water content and the fluidity were conditioned to be in the optimum state. When acidic IL, [C4-SAbim][CF3SO3] possessing a sulfonic acid moiety was used as the reaction medium, nothing but a black tarry by-product was obtained due to its strong acidity. However, using the acidic IL in a biphasic mode together with dichloromethane enabled porphyrins to form, even at a high reactant concentration. Furthermore, the phase-separated acidic IL was reusable for at least 10 times without any loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

In this research, a novel microextraction technique based on ionic liquids (ILs) termed cold-induced aggregation microextraction (CIAME) is developed. In this method, very small amounts of 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate [Hmim][PF6] and 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bis (trifluoromethylsulfonyl) imide [Hmim][Tf2N] (as extractant solvents) were dissolved in a sample solution containing Triton X-114 (as an anti-sticking agent). Afterwards, the solution was cooled in the ice bath and a cloudy solution was formed. After centrifuging, the fine droplets of extractant phase were settled to the bottom of the conical-bottom glass centrifuge tube.CIAME is a simple and rapid method for extraction and preconcentration of metal ions from water samples and can be applied for the sample solutions containing high concentration of salt and water miscible organic solvents. Furthermore, this technique is much safer in comparison with the organic solvent extraction.Performance of the technique was evaluated by determination of the trace amounts of mercury as a test analyte in several real water samples. Michler thioketone (TMK) was chosen as a complexing agent. Analysis was carried out using spectrophotometric detection method. Type and amount of IL and the surfactant, temperature and the other parameters were optimized. Under the optimum conditions, the limit of detection (LOD) of the method was 0.3 ng mL−1 and the relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) was 1.32% for 30 ng mL−1 mercury.  相似文献

Configurationally pure trans and high molecular weights are important for the optoelectronic properties of poly(p-phenylenevinylene) derivatives. As a promising approach for obtaining PPVs with these characteristics it was asserted that a simple and inexpensive monodentate phosphite, such as triphenylphosphite, is a good and efficient ligand for the Heck cross-coupling reaction. The catalyst activity is improved by the use of room temperature ionic liquids, obtaining quantitative yields and TONs up to 33,000.  相似文献

Novel thioether-linked imidazolium ionic liquid crystals were synthesized starting from methyl 2-mercaptoacetate. The mesomorphic properties were determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), polarizing optical microscopy (POM), and X-ray diffraction. All mesogens displayed smectic A mesophase geometries with strongly interdigitated bilayer structures. Comparison of the thioether-linked imidazolium salts with the corresponding amine- and amide-linked imidazolium salts as well as simple N-alkyl-imidazolium salts showed that both mesophase width and stability increased with increasing softness of the linking unit, thus indicating the beneficial effect of sulfur. Additionally, an increase of the length of the linking unit decreased the interdigitation of the alkyl chains.  相似文献

Metallic and bimetallic PdAu nanoparticles were solubilized in 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate ionic liquid (IL) by a phase-transfer method using poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) as a stabilizer. Nanoparticles were characterized by UV–vis spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The bimetallic PdAu nanoparticles in the IL-phase were examined as catalysts for hydrogenation reactions; both the activity and selectivity of the hydrogenation reactions could be tuned by varying the composition of the bimetallic nanoparticles, with maximum activities seen at 1:3 Au:Pd ratios. These nanoparticles/IL catalysts were recycled and then reused for further catalytic reactions with minimal loss in activity.  相似文献
