SOL-detectability of liver SPECT--analysis by SOL detection model   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of liver SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography). Eleven hospitals which are in or near Tokyo are participating in this study. Planar liver images and SPECT images of 134 cases which were retrospectively confirmed for its final diagnosis were collected. At the first study, the planar images (PS) were read by 13 nuclear medicine physicians. The second, the image reading by the combination of the planar images and the SPECT images (PS + SPECT) were performed. The confidence level of diagnosis for SOL (space occupying lesion) obtained by the image reading of PS and PS + SPECT has been analyzed by using the SOL detection model. The SOL detectability of PS + SPECT was higher than that of PS only. However, these differences were not statistically significant.  相似文献

The influence of SPECT over the detectability of SOL in the liver was evaluated by the Subcommittee on Efficacy Study, which belongs to Medical and Pharmaceutical Committee of Japan Radioisotope Association, under the participation of 9 hospitals including some university hospitals. In this study segmental reading of the SOL was requested. The film reading was performed twice on the different patient-groups and the results from well-experienced doctors (11 doctors) were summarized, indicating a slight increase in sensitivity as a whole although there were some doctors showing a reverse effect in each performance. Sensitivity was determined in the patient-group without SOL, which showed a slight decrease as a whole, indicating that SPECT had some possibility of increasing false positive cases. In the study of SOL detectability based on its segmental location, a marked positive effect of SPECT was noted in the right anterior and right posterior segments whereas a marked negative effect in the left lateral segment. The left medial segment also showed a slight decrease in the detectability of SOL.  相似文献

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the liver SPECT about detectability of SOLs (space occupying lesion). The images were interpreted with the planar scintigram (PS) only and combination of PS and SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) by 11 physicians. Changes of false positive and false negative rate were calculated to evaluate the influence of the diffuse parenchymal liver disease and the localization of the SOLs. Addition of SPECT to PS in the cases who are suspected SOLs is effective in right hepatic lobe (right anterior and posterior segment) to detect the SOLs, but not effective in left lateral segment. Addition of SPECT to PS in the cases with diffuse parenchymal liver disease and SOLs increases the false positive rate.  相似文献

Organ volume was experimentally and clinically determined using single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). In organ phantom filling with 99mTcO4-, the error was less than 3.3% in the volume over 400 ml but 11% at 200 ml. In 28 cases of patient, liver and spleen volume were measured by SPECT and X-CT. Good correlation was founded between SPECT volume and X-CT volume (r = 0.99, n = 49), although SPECT volume were 16% higher than X-CT volume (y = 1.16 x + 11.6, x: X-CT volume, y: SPECT volume).  相似文献

The effects of higher-energy photon from 123I (p, 5n) on the SPECT image quality were evaluated. The quality was evaluated by image contrast and %rms. Image contrast had similar tendency to planar and SPECT FWHM value. %rms was affected by septal penetration. Using 140 keV high resolution collimator (140 keV HR), image contrast was superior to that for 300 keV medium energy collimator (300 keV ME), but septal penetration rate (SPR) was 18% and %rms was 10.5. When quantitation is required, the collimator with less SPR than 18% is recommended for SPECT imaging. Using 300 keV ME, SPR was 0.05%, but spatial resolution and image contrast were inferior to that for 140 keV HR.  相似文献

The quantitative evaluation on measurement of liver volume and the hepatic accumulation rate of the radioactive agent were studied with respect to body constitution, background activity and splenic consumption rate, using single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). The optical cut-off level for liver volume determination was proved to be reasonable as 35%. The background less than 5% had no influence to their clinical estimation with the error of less than 1.6%. The estimation of liver volume was mostly influenced by the splenic activity. When the splenic activity was increased two times of the hepatic activity, the liver volume was determined as 4.2% larger. Calculated counts by SPECT was well correlated with the hepatic activity. This study proved that SPECT was useful for the quantitative evaluation of the liver volume and the hepatic accumulation rate.  相似文献

Dynamic hepatobiliary image data were analyzed by the mathematical deconvolution to derive the transfer function (TF) which represents the impulse response function of the liver following direct bolus injection of a tracer into the liver. Biliary flow was evaluated by TF in patients with previous hepatobiliary surgery to detect abnormal flow causing problems such as cholangitis. Serial image data were collected for 60 min after intravenous injection of 37-75 MBq (1-2 mCi) of 99mTc-N-pyridoxyl-5-methyltryptophan (99mTc-PMT). TF was obtained by the matrix algorithm, using regional hepatogram as output and time-activity curve over the heart as input function. Minimum, mean and maximum transit time (Max. TT) were determined from TF. The functional image for each of the transit times was constructed by displaying the distribution of the values for matrix elements with a color scale. In this study, a critical Max. TT of 60 min was used to detect abnormal biliary flow. Of 30 cases, 9 positive cases were discriminated from 21 negative cases on the basis of the finding of presence or absence of areas with Max. TT of more than 60 min anywhere in the liver. Bowel activity overlapping the liver was excluded in the judgment. The validity of this method was evaluated in comparison with the clinical courses after surgery with (8 cases) or without (22 cases) problems. The results were sensitivity of 88%, specificity of 91%, accuracy of 90% and positive predictive value of 78%.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

A new method was developed to display left ventricular wall motion using two dimensional polar representation of cardiac SPECT image. After intravenous administration of 740 MBq (20 mCi) 99mTc (in vivo labeling of red blood cell), ECG-gated SPECT image of cardiac pool was recorded (32 directions, 180 degrees). The short axis images of left ventricle were constructed at end-diastole (ED) and end-systole (ES). Then the functional images of (ED-ES)/ED were calculated at each compatible slices and displayed in color according the degree of wall motion. In 8 cases with cardiac diseases this method was applied and clinically useful functional images could be obtained. The area of akinesia or hypokinesia are successfully demonstrated clearly separated from the area of normokinesia. We conclude that this method is useful to show left ventricular wall motion and to evaluate the segment and grade of abnormal wall motion of left ventricle.  相似文献

201Tl myocardial SPECT was performed to evaluate cardiomyopathy in Duchenne type of progressive muscular dystrophy (DMD). Follow up SPECT images of the same patients were also obtained about 1 year after the first scan. Cases subjected to study were 10 DMD. At the first study the hypoperfusion area of the left ventricular muscle was observed in 6 cases (60%) out of 10. At the second study the hypoperfusion areas became wider and lower in 4 out of 6 cases (66.7%). The new hypoperfusion area which was not demonstrated at the first study was observed at the second study in one case of these cases. These results suggested that the positive rate of cardiomyopathy in DMD by 201Tl myocardial SPECT was high, and 201Tl myocardial SPECT is a useful examination to detect the change of myocardial damage in DMD.  相似文献

Deoxycorticosterone acetate, injected daily for 5, 10, 20 or 30 days, reduced the serum potassium levels of rats by about 25%, a decrease that was independent of the treatment period employed. Serum sodium concentrations were unchanged with treatment duration. The potassium concentrations in extensor digitorum longus (EDL) and soleus (SOL) muscles were significantly decreased, and those of sodium increased, after treatment. Accompanying these changes of electrolyte concentration, the resting membrane potentials of treated EDL and SOL were hyperpolarized in vivo, and showed depolarization with the decreases of external potassium concentrations in vitro. The mitochondria in the muscles of treated rats were damaged. The degree of damage was more serious in EDL than in SOL and was dependent on the duration of deoxycorticosterone acetate treatment.  相似文献

<正>An innovational method that poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride)(SMA),a compatibilizer of immiscible nylon6/polystyrene(PA6/PS) blends,was first reacted with carbon black(CB) and then blended with PA6/PS,has been employed to prepare the PA6/PS/(SMA-CB) composites of which CB localized at the interface.In PA6/PS/CB blends,CB was found to preferentially localize in the PA6 phase.However,in the PA6/PS/(SMA-CB) blends,it was found that CB particles can be induced by SMA to localize at the interface.The electrical porperties of PA6/PS/(SMA-CB) composites were investigated.The results showed that the composites exhibited distinct triple percolation behavior,i.e.the percolation is governed by the percolation of CB in SMA phase,the continuity of SMA-CB at the interface and the continuity of PA6/PS interface.The percolation threshold of PA6/PS/(SMA-CB) was only 0.15 wt%,which is much lower than that of PA6/PS/CB.Moreover,the PTC(positive temperature coefficient) intensity of PA6/PS/(SMA-CB) composites was stronger than that of PA6/PS/CB and the negative temperature coefficient(NTC) effect was eliminated.The electrical properties of PA6/PS/(SMA-CB) were explained in terms of its special interface morphology:SMA and CB localize at interphase to form the conductive pathways.  相似文献

以阳离子表面活性剂十八烷基三甲基氯化铵(OTAC)和烯丙基十八烷基二甲基氯化铵(ATAC)为插层处理剂改性蒙脱土(MMT),原位乳液聚合分别制备了PS/C18MMT和PS/AC18MMT两种纳米复合材料.XRD和TEM分析表明,MMT均被剥离成单个或几个片层无规的分散在PS基体中,TGA分析表明,MMT的加入提高了材料的耐热性能,当PS基体与有机化处理的MMT片层发生一定的化学连接后,PS/AC18MMT纳米复合材料表现出更好的耐热性能.动态力学分析表明,MMT的加入提高了PS的玻璃态储能模量,降低了材料的动态损耗;PS/AC18MMT纳米复合材料的玻璃化温度较PS有所提高,而PS/C18MMT的玻璃化温度与PS相比略有降低.  相似文献

Concentrations of particulate and dissolved plutonium in seawater were determined together with strong organic ligands (SOL) in particulate matter (PM). The concentration of particulate 239,240Pu in surface waters of the Western North Pacific ranged from 0.03 to 0.3 mBq m(-3) during the period from 1987 to 1997. The percentage of particulate Pu to total Pu in seawater was less than 10% in surface waters, whereas its portions were less than 1% in deep waters. In order to characterize particulate Pu in seawater, the relationships between particulate Pu, dissolved Pu and SOL concentrations in surface PM were examined. The result reveals that particulate Pu was linearly related to the SOL concentration independent of dissolved Pu concentration. Mass balance analysis suggests that a dominant chemical form of Pu in surface PM, which may exist as Pu(IV), is a complex with strong organic ligands in PM.  相似文献

采用聚苯乙烯磺酸钠(PSS)和聚二烯丙基二甲基氯化铵(PDDA)两种聚电解质, 通过静电层层自组装成功地将MCM-41介孔二氧化硅纳米粒子包覆到聚苯乙烯(PS)微球表面. 实验结果表明, 当以尺寸为1.4 μm的PS微球为核时, 包覆了两个聚电解质双层(PDDA/PSS)2的PS(PDDA/PSS)2(PDDA/MCM-41)复合结构微粒与包覆了一个聚电解质双层(PDDA/PSS)的PS(PDDA/PSS)(PDDA/MCM-41)复合结构微粒相比, 复合结构微粒之间的交联程度降低, 但是MCM-41纳米粒子在聚苯乙烯微球表面的包覆都比较松散, 且产物中存在大量杂质. 而当以尺寸为5 μm的聚苯乙烯微球为核时, MCM-41纳米粒子紧密地包覆在聚苯乙烯微球表面, 复合结构微粒之间只有少量桥连物, 且产物中杂质很少.  相似文献

Performance of SPECT imaging systems which use a rotating gamma camera, are affected by characteristics of the detector-collimator assembly, the data acquisition method, and the filter used in image reconstruction. The purpose of this study is to examine image qualities of SPECT with different types of low energy collimators. The SPECT imaging system in this study is a rotating gamma camera ZLC-7500 (Siemens) and a data processing unit Scintipac-700 (Shimadzu). The four types of collimators compared are UHR (ultra high resolution), HR (high resolution), AP (general all purpose), and HS (high sensitivity), with 0.27, 0.66, 1.00, and 2.06 relative sensitivity, respectively. In the case of the same collimator, the spatial resolutions measured in the slice plane showed a slight difference in the FWHM values (mean values of UHR, HR, AP, and HS were 11.3 mm, 13.6 mm, 15.8 mm, and 20.4 mm, respectively.) between the center and the circumference of the field of view, in the radial direction, but a large difference in the tangential direction, with lower FWHM values (values of UHR, HR, AP, and HS were 8.4 mm, 8.7 mm, 9.3 mm, and 10.8 mm at 12 cm from the center, respectively.). In comparison of SPECT images with the four types of collimators, except for the HS collimator, image qualities of UHR, HR, and AP collimators showed only a slight difference. From the pont of view of sensitivity and spatial resolution of the collimator, it is expected that the AP collimator would be suitable for SPeCT imaging with 99mTc.  相似文献

A new phospholipid‐specific spray reagent is described. A new phospholipid‐specific spray reagent, which is a modification of the Dittmer–Lester reagent, is described in authors' studies. The difference between these two reagents is in the addition of tin (II) chloride to the proposed spray reagent. The use of the described spray reagent together with an image analysis technique allows not only for qualitative, but also for quantitative, determination of major phospholipid classes. Separation of phosphatidylserine (PS), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) was conducted on an HPTLC plate with a mixture of chloroform, methanol and 25% ammonia solution in a volume ratio of 65:25:4 as mobile phase. The calibration curves were linear in the ranges of 5.0–25.0, 1.5–15.0 and 1.0–20.0 µg/spot for PC, PS and PE, respectively. The use of the new spray reagent resulted also in lower limits of detection than the standard molybdenum method for the investigated phospholipids. The proposed method was used to determine the amount of PS in the dietary supplement ‘Session’, and of PS, PE and PC in biological samples, with good results. To date, singlet oxygen ((1)O(2)) luminescence (SOL) detection was predictive of photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatment responses both in vitro and in vivo, but accurate quantification is challenging. In particular, the early and strongest part of the time-resolved signal (500-2000ns) is difficult to separate from confounding sources of luminescence and system noise, and so is normally gated out. However, the signal dynamics change with oxygen depletion during PDT, so that this time gating biases the (1)O(2) measurements. Here, the impact of gating was investigated in detail, determining the rate constants from SOL and direct pO(2) measurements during meso-tetra(hydroxyphenyl)chlorin (mTHPC)-mediated PDT of cells in vitro under well-controlled conditions. With these data as input, numerical simulations were used to examine PDT and SOL dynamics, and the influence of various time gates on cumulative SOL signals. It is shown that gating can underestimate the SOL at early treatment time points by ~40% and underestimate the cumulative SOL signal by 20-25%, representing significant errors. In vitro studies with both mTHPC and aminolevulinic acid-photosensitizer protoporphyrin IX demonstrate that rigorous analysis of SOL signal kinetics is then crucial in order to use SOL as an accurate and quantitative PDT dose metric.  相似文献
