The group analysis method is applied to the two‐dimensional nonlinear Klein–Gordon equation with time‐varying delay. Determining equations for equations with a time‐varying delay are derived. A complete group classification of the studied equation with respect to the function involved into the equation is obtained. All admitted Lie algebras are classified. By using the classifications, representations of all invariant solutions are found. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The complete group classification of a generalization of the Black–Scholes–Merton model is carried out by making use of the underlying equivalence and additional equivalence transformations. For each nonlinear case obtained through this classification, invariant solutions are given. To that end, two boundary conditions of financial interest are considered, the terminal and the barrier option conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, variable coefficients Kawahara equation (VCKE) and variable coefficients modified Kawahara equation (VCMKE), which arise in modeling of various physical phenomena, are studied by Lie group analysis. The similarity reductions and exact solutions are derived by determining the complete sets of point symmetries of these equations. Moreover, some exact analytic solutions are considered by the power series method. Further, a generalized ‐expansion method is applied to VCKE and VCMKE for constructing some new exact solutions. As a result, hyperbolic function solutions, trigonometric function solutions and some rational function solutions with parameters are furnished.

Summary We give a complete classification of the small-amplitude finite-gap solutions of the sine-Gordon (SG) equation on an interval under Dirichlet or Neumann boundary conditions. Our classification is based on an analysis of the finite-gap solutions of the boundary problems for the SG equation by means of the Schottky uniformization approach. On leave from IPPI, Moscow, Russia  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the constrained variational problem with respect to the fractional Kirchhoff equation. For the exponent p<p*(s,N), a complete classification with respect to p for the existence of solutions of the fractional Kirchhoff functional on the L2-normalized manifold was given. Furthermore, all these solutions are unique up to translations, and our methods depend only on some simple energy estimates.  相似文献

According to Ma-Fuchsseiter’s idea, a trial equation method was proposed to find the exact envelop traveling wave solutions to some nonlinear differential equations with variable coefficients. As an application, combining with the complete discrimination system for polynomial, some exact envelop traveling wave solutions to Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients were obtained. At the same time, the physical meanings of the obtained solutions are discussed, and the problem needed to further study is pointed out.  相似文献

We concentrate on Lie symmetries and conservation laws of the Fokker-Planck equation with power diffusion describing the growth of cell populations. First, we perform a complete symmetry classification of the equation, and then we find some interesting similarity solutions by means of the symmetries and the variable coefficient heat equation. Local dynamical behaviors are analyzed via the solutions for the growing cell populations. Second, we show that the conservation law multipliers of the equation take the form Λ=Λ(t,x,u), which satisfy a linear partial differential equation, and then give the general formula of conservation laws. Finally, symmetry properties of the conservation law are investigated and used to construct conservation laws of the reduced equations.  相似文献

The group analysis method is applied to the plane one-dimensional equations of two-temperature gas dynamics. The complete classification of the equations with respect to admitted Lie group is studied. All invariant solutions are analyzed and their comparisons with the known invariant solutions of the ideal gas dynamics system are presented.  相似文献

Using the well-known and specific connections between Fredholm integral equations, two-point boundary-value problems, and linear dynamics-quadratic cost control processes, we present a complete, independent set of algebraic invariants suitable for classifying a wide range of Fredholm integral operators with respect to a certain group of transformations. The group, termed theRiccati group, is naturally suggested by the control theoretic setting, but seems nonintuitive from a purely integral-equations point of view. Computational considerations resulting from this classification are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, symmetries and group invariant solutions to the Gardner-KP equation are obtained by using the direct symmetry method. At the same time, we find the corresponding Lie algebra, optimal system, classification and the similarity reductions to the equation, respectively. Our exact solutions generalize the corresponding results obtained by Wazwaz. In addition, the conservation laws of Gardner-KP equation are also given.  相似文献

In this paper, complete group classification of a class of (1+1)-dimensional generalized quasi-linear wave equations is performed by using the Lie-Ovsiannikov method, additional equivalent transformation and furcate split method. Lie reductions of some truly ‘variable coefficient’ wave equations which are singled out from the classification results are investigated. Some classes of exact solutions of these ‘variable coefficient’ wave equations are constructed by means of both the reductions and the additional equivalent transformations. The nonclassical symmetries to the generalized quasi-linear wave equation are also studied. This enabled to obtain some exact solutions of the wave equations which are invariant under certain conditional symmetries.  相似文献

The study of quantum integers and their operations is closely related to the studies of symmetries of roots of polynomials and of fundamental questions of decompositions in Additive Number Theory. In his papers on quantum arithmetics, Melvyn Nathanson raises the question of classifying solutions of functional equations arising from the multiplication of quantum integers, starting with polynomial solutions and then generalizing to rational function solutions. The classification of polynomial solutions with fields of coefficients of characteristic zero and support base P has been completed. In a paper concerning the Grothendieck group associated to the collection of polynomial solutions, Nathanson poses a problem which asks whether the set of rational function solutions strictly contains the set of ratios of polynomial solutions. It is now known that there are infinitely many rational function solutions \(\Gamma \) with fields of coefficients of characteristic zero not constructible as ratios of polynomial solutions, even in the purely cyclotomic case, which is the case most similar to the polynomial solution case. The classification of polynomial solutions is thus not sufficient, in essential ways, to resolve the classification problem of all rational function solutions with fields of coefficients of characteristic zero. In this paper we study symmetries of roots of rational functions and the classification of the important class-the last and main obstruction to the classification problem-of rational function solutions, the purely cyclotomic, purely nonrational primitive solutions with fields of coefficients of characteristic zero and support base P, which allows us to complete the classification problem raised by Nathanson.  相似文献

In this paper, Lie point symmetry group of the Harry-Dym type equation with Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative is constructed. Then complete subgroup classification is obtained by means of the optimal system method. Finally, corresponding group-invariant solutions with reduced fractional ordinary differential equations are presented via similarity reductions.  相似文献

In this paper, one-dimensional optimal system of group invariant solutions of (2 + 1)-dimensional Klein–Gordon system is constructed. Then the classification of group invariant solutions is given out and the corresponding two-dimensional symmetry reduced equations are obtained. At last some symmetry transformations are gained in detail. Especially, we obtain the most general solution from a given solution by use of six variable one-parameter subgroups transformations.  相似文献

In this paper, helicoidal flat surfaces in the 3‐dimensional sphere are considered. A complete classification of such surfaces, that generalizes a classification of rotational flat surfaces, is given in terms of the first and second fundamental forms for asymptotic parameters. The result consists in a relation between helicoidal flat surfaces and linear solutions of the corresponding homogeneous wave equation for the angle function.  相似文献

We give a complete group classification of the general case of linear systems of two second‐order ordinary differential equations. The algebraic approach is used to solve the group classification problem for this class of equations. This completes the results in the literature on the group classification of two linear second‐order ordinary differential equations including recent results which give a complete group classification treatment of such systems. We show that using the algebraic approach leads to the study of a variety of cases in addition to those already obtained in the literature. We illustrate that this approach can be used as a useful tool in the group classification of this class of equations. A discussion of the subsequent cases and results is given. Based on the generalized symmetry group method presented by Lou and Ma [Lou and Ma, Non-Lie symmetry groups of (2 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear systems obtained from a simple direct method, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 38 (2005) L129], firstly, both the Lie point groups and the full symmetry group of the nonisospectral BKP equation are obtained, at the same time, a relationship is constructed between the new solutions and the old ones of equation. Secondly, the nonisospectral BKP can be proved to be Painlevé integrability by combining the standard WTC approach with the Kruskal’s simplification, some solutions are obtained by using the standard truncated Painlevé expansion. Finally, based on the relationship by the generalized symmetry group method and some solutions by using the standard truncated Painlevé expansion, some interesting solution are constructed.  相似文献

In this paper, the complete group classification is performed on the generalized short pulse equation, which includes a lot of important nonlinear wave equations as its special cases. In the sense of geometric symmetry, all of the vector fields of the equation are obtained in terms of the arbitrary functions. Then, the symmetry reductions and exact solutions to the equations are investigated. Especially, we develop the analytic power series method for constructing the exact power series solutions to the short pulse types of equations.  相似文献
