We completely analyze the model-independent leading radiative corrections to the cross section and polarization observables in the semi-inclusive deep-inelastic electron-nucleus scattering with the detection of a proton and the scattered electron in coincidence. The calculations are based on representing the spin-independent and spin-dependent parts of the cross section in terms of the electron structure functions similarly to the Drell-Yan-like representation in electrodynamics. As the applications, we consider the polarization transfer effect from a longitudinally polarized electron beam to the detected proton and the scattering by a polarized target. 相似文献

We use the constructed spin-dependent static local field functions to calculate the plasmon dispersion of two dimensional
spin polarized electron gas (2D SPEG) over a range of electron densities at arbitrarily spin polarization. We also investigate
how the finite width of electron layer will affect the plasmon frequency and inverse static dielectric function of 2D SPEG.
Our results show that the effect of finite thickness on plasmon dispersion and inverse dielectric function becomes considerable

Spin-dependent electron reflection from a Cu thin film grown on Co/Cu(001) was investigated using spin-polarized low-energy electron microscopy (SPLEEM). Fabry-Pe rot type interference was observed and is explained using the phase accumulation model. SPLEEM images of the Cu overlayer reveal magnetic domains in the Co underlayer, with the domain contrast oscillating with electron energy and Cu film thickness. This behavior is attributed to the spin-dependent electron reflectivity at the Cu/Co interface which leads to spin-dependent Fabry-Pe rot electron interference in the Cu film. 相似文献

We study the spin correlations in two- and three-dimensional electron liquids within the sum-rule version of the self-consistent
field approach of Singwi, Tosi, Land, and Sj?lander. Analytic expressions for the spin-antisymmetric static structure factor
and the corresponding local-field correction are obtained with density dependent coefficients. We calculate the spin-dependent
pair-correlation functions, paramagnon dispersion, and static spin-response function within the present model, and discuss
the spin-density wave instabilities in double-layer electron systems.

We investigate theoretically the spin-dependent electron
transport in a straight waveguide with Rashba spin--orbit coupling
(SOC) under the irradiation of a transversely polarized
electromagnetic (EM) field. Spin-dependent electron conductance and
spin polarization are calculated as functions of the emitting
energy of electrons or the strength of the EM field by adopting the mode
matching approach. It is shown that the spin polarization can be
manipulated by external parameters when the strength of Rashba
SOC is strong. Furthermore, a sharp step structure is found to exist
in the total electron conductance. These results can be understood
by the nontrivial Rashba subbands intermixing and the electron
intersubband transition when a finite-range transversely polarized
EM field irradiates a straight waveguide. 相似文献

This work demonstrates experimentally and theoretically that the coincident two-electron emission from a ferromagnetic surface, upon the impact of a polarized electron, carries detailed information on the spin-dependent electronic collisions in ferromagnets. A model of spin-dependent transport of electrons through a ferromagnet-insulator-ferromagnet structure is developed. It takes
into account the image forces, tunnel barrier parameters, and effective masses of an electron tunneling in the barrier and
in the ferromagnetic electrode in the free electron approximation. Calculations for an iron-aluminum oxide-iron structure
show that, with an increase in the bias voltage, the tunnel magnetoresistance decreases monotonically and then breaks into
damped oscillations caused by the interference of the electrons’ wave functions in the conduction region of the potential

Nonmonotonic bias voltage dependence of the magnetocurrent in GaAs-based magnetic tunnel transistors
Magnetic tunnel transistors are used to study spin-dependent hot electron transport in thin CoFe films and across CoFe/GaAs interfaces. The magnetocurrent observed when the orientation of a CoFe base layer moment is reversed relative to that of a CoFe emitter, is found to exhibit a pronounced nonmonotonic variation with electron energy. A model based on spin-dependent inelastic scattering in the CoFe base layer and strong electron scattering at the CoFe/GaAs interface, resulting in a broad electron angular distribution, can well account for the variation of the magnetocurrent in magnetic tunnel transistors with GaAs(001) and GaAs(111) collectors. 相似文献

Spin–orbit interaction in two-dimensional electron systems can lead to a spin-dependent reflection of carriers off a lithographic barrier. Scattering of a spin-unpolarized beam from the barrier leads to the creation of two fully spin-polarized side beams in addition to an unpolarized specularly reflected beam. We experimentally demonstrate a method to create spin-polarized beams of ballistic electrons in mesoscopic samples fabricated on InSb/InAlSb and InAs/AlGaSb heterostructures. We describe two geometries, one open and one closed, in which the spin-dependent reflection and spin-dependent semiclassical trajectories were observed. 相似文献

The hyperspherical-harmonic-expansion method is applied to solve the Schrödinger equation for a three-particle system interacting via central spin-dependent potentials. The convergence of the expansion has been improved by multiplying the hyperspherical basis by an appropriate correlation factor, chosen as a product of one-dimensional functions fixed by means of a two-body Schrödinger equation. The results obtained for three nucleons interacting via the Malfliet-Tjon potential are in close agreement with those given by the most accurate methods. 相似文献
