本文提出使用生存分析的理论和方法解决ROC曲线的分析问题。使用两个例子分别说明如何使用生存分析的方法解决ROC曲线下面积的估计问题和对多组ROC曲线的比较检验的过程。本文得出在使用生存分析的方法估算的ROC曲线下面积与经典算法相同,而对多组ROC曲线的比较检验实现起来更加简洁。本文的主要结果是使用生存分析方法解决ROC曲线的分析问题,理论简单,方法成熟,实现便利,既拓宽了经典统计方法的应用领域,同时也为进行ROC曲线分析的工作者提供了一个全新的选择。  相似文献

Multilevel modeling is considerably useful way to analyze hierarchical data sets. The main purpose of this paper is to apply multilevel analysis in animal science and also show that this modeling technique is appropriate to analyze this kind of data. Thus multilevel modeling technique is used to analyze the milk yield data which has hierarchical structures, sires nested within cows. As a result of the analysis done in this paper, it is obvious that multilevel modeling is needed to use for analyzing this data. This illustrates that it is a convenient way to use multilevel analysis for the data which obtained from animals when the data have hierarchies.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is the analysis of a free boundary value related to a generalized heat conduction model. The qualitative analysis proposed in this paper is developed also in view of the applications of suitable computational schemes to obtain quantitative results. A basic role is played by the fundamental solution of a third-order operator, explicitly determined in a previous paper. We first discuss a method to obtain the solutions to a moving boundary value problem for a third-order operator. Next, by using the properties of the function K, the free boundary value problem is reduced to a Volterra nonlinear system for which an existence and uniqueness result is given.  相似文献

The acid rain problem is just one amongst many complex environmental issues that are facing policy-makers today. Analytical advice normally takes the form of large and expensive studies, expressed in written reports. The availability of powerful dedicated and interactive computers opens the possibility for the analysis to be represented as an interactive computer program. The computer has considerable potential to improve the quality of the analysis available to a policy-maker.This paper will report on the construction of a decision aid on a powerful personal computer for the British Government, to study the acid deposition problem. As well as describing the technical issues involved in this model, the paper discusses the potential for this approach to policy analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a local Fourier analysis framework for analyzing the different components within multigrid solvers for edge-based discretizations on triangular grids. The different stencils associated with edges of different orientation in a triangular mesh make this analysis special. The resulting tool is demonstrated for the vector Laplace problem discretized by mimetic finite difference schemes. Results from the local Fourier analysis, as well as experimentally obtained results, are presented to validate the proposed analysis.  相似文献

In this paper we present a Quantified SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analytical method which provides more detailed and quantified data for SWOT analysis. The Quantified SWOT analytical method adopts the concept of Multiple-Attribute Decision Making (MADM), which uses a multi-layer scheme to simplify complicated problems, and thus is able to perform SWOT analysis on several enterprises simultaneously. Container ports in East Asia are taken as a case study in this paper. Quantified SWOT analysis is used to assess the competing strength of each port and then suggest an adoptable competing strategy for each.  相似文献

为研究图书馆随书光盘资源的管理绩效,本文分析了随书光盘的管理模式的特点和卡方检验用于随书光盘管理绩效分析的原理,采用问卷调查法获得读者随书光盘使用情况的数据,并采用单因素和多因素方法进行了随书光盘的管理绩效分析。结果显示,随书光盘的使用率较高,随书光盘管理模式对读者随书光盘的使用方式具有显著的影响,读者更多地选择网络阅读与下载方式,随书光盘的网络管理模式具有更大绩效。因此,卡方检验可以作为随书光盘管理绩效的量化评价方法,为随书光盘管理提供理论依据,高校图书馆需要加强随书光盘网络管理的建设,提高随书光盘的信息服务质量。  相似文献

The importance of detecting heteroscedasticity in regression analysis is widely recognized because efficient inference for the regression function requires that heteroscedasticity should be taken into account. In this paper, a simple test for heteroscedasticity is proposed in nonparametric regression based on residual analysis. Furthermore, some simulations with a comparison with Dette and Munk's method are conducted to evaluate the performance of the proposed test. The results demonstrate that the method in this paper performs quite satisfactorily and is much more powerful than Dette and Munk's method in some cases.  相似文献

In this paper, a proficient numerical technique for the time-fractional telegraph equation(TFTE) is proposed. The chief aim of this paper is to utilize a relatively new type of B-spline called the cubic trigonometric B-spline for the proposed scheme. This technique is based on finite difference formulation for the Caputo time-fractional derivative and cubic trigonometric B-splines based technique for the derivatives in space. A stability analysis of the scheme is presented to confirm that the errors do not amplify. A convergence analysis is also presented. Computational experiments are carried out in addition to verify the theoretical analysis. Numerical results are contrasted with a few present techniques and it is concluded that the presented scheme is progressively right and more compelling.  相似文献

Perturbation analysis is a technique that expedites the process of performing experiments on discrete-event simulation models. This makes it possible to derive sensitivity estimates from one computer execution of a simulation model. Infinitesimal perturbation analysis (IPA) is one class of algorithms used in perturbation analysis. In this paper, the techniques and algorithms used in simulation to perform infinitesimal perturbation analysis are examined. Each algorithm is discussed in detail, with comments concerning implementation problems and examples with experimental results for serial transfer lines. The results of this paper show that for simple systems, IPA can be easily implemented in a general-purpose simulation language such as SIMAN. Unfortunately, for any given system, parameter or performance measure, the algorithm used to generate the gradient may vary. Additionally, algorithms for more complex classes of problems do not yet exist. This problem hampers the current possibility of incorporating IPA into general-purpose simulation languages.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a composite Laguerre-Legendre spectral method for two-dimensional exterior problems. Results on the composite Laguerre-Legendre approximation, which is a set of piecewise mixed approximations coupled with domain decomposition, are established. These results play important roles in the related spectral methods for exterior problems. As examples of applications, the composite spectral schemes are provided for two model problems, with the convergence analysis. An efficient implementation is described. Numerical results demonstrate the spectral accuracy in space of this new approach, and confirm the analysis. The approximation results and techniques developed in this paper are also applicable to other problems defined on unbounded domains.  相似文献

Sensitivity orpost-optimality analysis investigates the effect of parametric changes on heuristic robustness and solution quality. This approach is relatively unexplored for combinatorial optimization problems, and yet is of considerable interest in analyzing performance characteristics of heuristic approaches. The purpose of this paper is to: (1) develop the semantics and rationale of parametric analysis within the combinatoric environment; (2) present as an example the design and implementation of sensitivity analysis procedures for a newly developed heuristic — theVariable-Depth-Search Heuristic (VDSH) — to solve the Generalized Assignment Problem (GAP). The concepts and methodology discussed in this paper may as well be applied to other heuristics, or in developing a heuristic sensitivity analysis procedure for a large-scale optimization method.  相似文献

A conventional problem of paper handling in a page-printing printer is to design a reliable paper path. Sometimes, this also affects the printing quality. The nonlinear theory of elastica has often been used to model paper deflection shape and to predict the paper path between some guiding rollers. The present paper proposes another method that can solve this problem more efficiently. Considering a piece of paper as a nonlinear beam, finite element analysis with geometric nonlinearity and manipulating the contact gap element between paper and guiding surfaces can be used to simulate the large-deflection behavior of paper. In this paper, the paper path in the vicinity of an OPC (organic photoconductive) drum is investigated with a general purpose finite element package. The effect of the electrostatic force between the OPC drum and the paper is considered, and the deformed shape of the paper for different forces lengths is obtained. According to those results an appropriate paper guide is added for an exact paper path.  相似文献

Analytical solutions of several rods whose cross-sections vary in the axial direction are considered. The analysis in this paper uses two transformations that exist in the literature to help transform the equation of motion of the rod into a form similar to that of the one-dimensional Schroedinger equation where the shape of the cross-section of the rod is governed by a potential function that satisfies a second order differential equation. By solving this second order differential equation, it is possible to obtain a class of shapes that have a common form of solution that are determined from the well known solution of the Schroedinger equation. There are very few analytical solutions available in the literature especially when the area of cross-section varies. In this paper, it is shown that the set of available solutions for variable cross-sectional rods are particular cases of the general analysis. In addition, analytical solutions to several new variable cross-sections are considered.This paper also considers an existing transformation that transforms the Sturm-Liouville equation to a particular form of the equation of motion under consideration. So, tracing the analysis backwards, for any second order differential equation for which existence of solutions are guaranteed, and that can be reduced in the above manner, it is possible to determine the form of the cross-section of the rod. In this paper, several shapes of the cross-section are investigated when the equation of motion is described by special functions, the Legendre, Hermite and Laugurre functions. The analysis given here is a general one and is applicable when the equation of motion is described by other special functions.  相似文献

The scalar finite-dimensional case has been discussed in the first part of this work series, which aims at exploiting the image space analysis to establish a general regularity condition for constrained extremum problems. Based on this preliminary result, the present paper dedicates itself to further study the regularity conditions for vector constrained extremum problems in a Euclidean space.
