This paper deals with the global uniform exponential stability independent of delay of time-delay linear and time-invariant systems subject to point and distributed delays for the initial conditions being continuous real functions except possibly on a set of zero measure of bounded discontinuities. It is assumed that the delay-free system as well as an auxiliary one are globally uniformly exponentially stable and globally uniform exponential stability independent of delay, respectively. The auxiliary system is typically a part of the overall dynamics of the delayed system but not necessarily the isolated undelayed dynamics as usually assumed in the literature. Since there is a great freedom in setting such an auxiliary system, the obtained stability conditions are very useful in a wide class of practical applications.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of absolute exponential stability analysis for a class of continuous-time systems with sector-bounded nonlinearities and interval time-varying delays. Absolute exponential stability criteria, which depend not only on the delay range but also on the decay rate, are derived by using a novel Lyapunov functional. These criteria are expressed in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and they can easily be checked. By solving these LMIs, estimates of the exponential decay rate and decay coefficient are obtained. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper addresses the exponential stability for a class of nonlinear hybrid time-delay systems. The system to be considered is autonomous and the state delay is time-varying. Using the Lyapunov functional approach combined with the Newton–Leibniz formula, neither restriction on the derivative of time-delay function nor bound restriction on nonlinear perturbations is required to design a switching rule for the exponential stability of nonlinear switched systems with time-varying delays. The delay-dependent stability conditions are presented in terms of the solution of algebraic Riccati equations, which allows computing simultaneously the two bounds that characterize the stability rate of the solution. A simple procedure for constructing the switching rule is also presented.  相似文献

This paper presents a new delay-dependent and parameter-dependent robust stability criterion for linear continuous-time systems with polytopic parameter uncertainties and time-varying delay in the state. This criterion, expressed as a set of linear matrix inequalities, requires no matrix variable to be fixed for the entire uncertainty polytope, which produces a less conservative stability test result. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.  相似文献

This article is concerned with the excitability of positive linear time-invariant systems subject to internal point delays. It is proved that the excitability independent of delay is guaranteed if an auxiliary delay-free system is excitable. Necessary and sufficient conditions for excitability and transparency are formulated in terms of the parameterization of the dynamics and control matrices and, equivalently, in terms of strict positivity of a matrix of an associate system obtained from the influence graph of the original system. Such conditions are testable through simple algebraic tests involving moderate computational effort.  相似文献

This paper presents robust fuzzy controllers for a class of T–S fuzzy bilinear systems (FBSs) with time-delay. First, we adopt the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) method to design a fuzzy controller to stabilize the T–S FBS with time-delay. The stability conditions of the overall fuzzy control system are formulated by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Secondly, we propound some LMI conditions to set up the robust controller to stabilize the uncertain T–S FBS with time-delay. Finally, the validity and applicability of the proposed schemes are demonstrated by simulations.  相似文献

The problem of the stability of the point of rest of an autonomous system of ordinary differential equations from a class of reversible systems [1] characterized by the critical case of m zero roots and n pairs of pure imaginary roots is considered. When there are no internal resonances [2, 3], the point of rest always has Birkhoff complete stability [2]. Internal resonances may lead to Lyapunov instability. The conditions of stability and instability of the model system when there are third-order resonances may be obtained from a criterion previously developed [4] for the case of pure imaginary roots. The results are used to analyse the stability of the translational-rotational motion of an active artificial satellite in a non-Keplerian circular orbit, including a geostationary satellite in any latitude [4, 5]. The region of stability of relative equilibria and regular precession of the satellite is constructed assuming a central gravitational field and the resonance modes are analysed.  相似文献

Exponential stability of time-delay systems with nonlinear uncertainties is studied in this paper. Based on the Lyapunov method and the approaches of decomposing the matrix, a new exponential stability criterion is derived in terms of a matrix inequality, which allows to compute simultaneously the two bounds that characterize the exponential nature of the solution. In this paper, we consider the robust variance-constrained control problem for uncertain linear continuous time-delay systems subjected to parameter uncertainties. The purpose of this multi-objective control problem is to design a static state feedback controller that does not depend on the parameter uncertainties such that the resulting closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and the steady-state variance of each state is not more than the individual pre-specified value simultaneously. Using the linear matrix inequality approach, the existence conditions of such controllers are derived. A parameterized representation of the desired controllers is presented in terms of the feasible solutions to a certain linear matrix inequality system. An illustrative numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.  相似文献

This paper investigates the stability and stabilization for a class of linear systems with time-varying delay. We provide a new finite-sum inequality which is a powerful tool for stability analysis of time-delay systems. Applying the inequality, a new stability criterion is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). We also design a method for static output feedback (SOF) control problems which contains two parts. The first part is to find an initial values of the matrix variables. By utilizing the initial values, the condition for SOF control problems can be solved by an improved path-following method. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the stability criterion and the SOF stabilization method.  相似文献

Global asymptotic stability conditions for nonlinear stochastic systems with multiple state delays are obtained based on the convergence theorem for semimartingale inequalities, without assuming the Lipschitz conditions for nonlinear drift functions. The Lyapunov–Krasovskii and degenerate functionals techniques are used. The derived stability conditions are directly expressed in terms of the system coefficients. A special class of mechanical systems is considered, the linearized equations of which either belong to the class of time-varying systems, reducible to stationary systems using constructive Lyapunov transformations or to systems close to these. A method of decomposing of the matrices of a system, which differs from the traditional method, is proposed for investigating of the stability of motion. It is shown that the conclusions concerning the stability are more complete in the case of this decomposition of the system matrix.
