In this paper, we consider the propagation of an anomalous hollow beam passing through the first-order ABCD optical system. Based on the generalized diffraction integrals, a general propagating formula of anomalous hollow beam is derived. Based on the derived formula, the propagation properties of anomalous hollow beam through the misaligned optical system are numerically illustrated. From the numerical results we can get that when an anomalous hollow beam propagates through a misaligned optical system, the shape of the output beam changes as the propagation distance increases, and the center of the output beam is deviated from the optical axis. The position of the output beam is effected by the misaligned parameters, and can be controlled by adjusting them. This method provides a convenient tool for studying the propagation and transformation of an anomalous hollow beam through the misaligned optical system.  相似文献

A theoretical model is proposed to approximately describe an anomalous hollow beam of elliptical symmetry with an elliptical solid core, which was observed in experiment recently [Phys. Rev. Lett.94, 134802 (2005)]. Expressions for the propagation factor and effective beam spot size for the anomalous hollow beam are derived. Based on the Collins integral formula, an analytical propagation formula for the anomalous hollow beam passing through a paraxial ABCD optical system is derived. A generalized formula of hollow Gaussian beams through the first-order misaligned ABCD systems is derived by using the generalized diffraction integral formula. It is shown that the hollow Gaussian beam passing through the misaligned system becomes a decentred hollow Gaussian beam. The propagation properties of the output beam are investigated when it propagates through a simple misaligned lens system. These results provide a powerful theoretical tool for applications of optical traps.  相似文献

The propagation of an elliptical Gaussian beam (EGB) through an astigmatic ABCD optical system in a turbulent atmosphere is investigated. An analytical formula for the average intensity of an EGB and a generalized tensor ABCD law for the generalized complex curvature tensor are derived. As an application example, we derived an analytical formula for the average intensity of an elliptical flat-topped beam propagating through an astigmatic ABCD optical system in a turbulent atmosphere. As a numerical example, the focusing properties of an EGB focused by a thin lens in a turbulent atmosphere are studied. It is found that the focused beam at the focal plane becomes a circular Gaussian beam when the atmospheric turbulence is strong enough, and the beam width of the circular Gaussian beam is determined by atmospheric turbulence strength, focal length of the thin lens, and wavelength of the initial beam but is independent of the initial beam widths (i.e., initial intensity distribution).  相似文献

An alternative theoretical model named partially coherent hollow elliptical Gaussian beam (HEGB) is proposed to describe a partially coherent beam with an elliptical dark hollow profile. Explicit expression for the propagation factors of a partially coherent HEGB is derived. Based on the generalized Collins formula, analytical formulae for the cross-spectral density and mean-squared beam width of a partially coherent HEGB, propagating through a paraxial ABCD optical system, are derived. By use of a tensor method, an analytical formula for a partially coherent Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beam truncated by a circular phase aperture propagating through a paraxial ABCD optical system is derived. The propagation properties of a GSM beam truncated by a circular phase aperture in free space are studied numerically. It is found that the circular phase aperture can be used to shape the beam profile of a GSM beam and generate partially coherent dark hollow or flat-topped beam, which is useful in many applications, e.g., optical trapping, free-space optical communication, and material thermal processing. The propagation factor of a GSM beam truncated by a circular phase aperture is also analyzed.  相似文献

提出了一种用来描述空心光束的新理论模型——空心高斯光束模型,通过控制光束参数可以方便地调制空心光束黑斑的大小.导出了空心高斯光束经傍轴光学系统的解析传输变换公式.利用导出的公式计算分析了空心高斯光束在自由空间的传输特性.在实验上利用矩阵本征值方法设计了能输出空心高斯光束的光学谐振腔,对实验上得到的空心高斯光束进行了传输特性的研究.结果表明,理论和实验相吻合.该空心高斯光束产生的光势阱为控制冷原子提供了一条新途径. 关键词: 空心高斯光束 光学谐振腔 传输特性  相似文献

Based on the generalized truncated second-order moments, an approximate analytical formula of the beam propagation factor M~2 of high-power laser beams passing through the optical system with multiple hard-edged apertures is deduced. Numerical examples of the beams passing through an aperture-spatial filter are enclosed, and the influences of amplitude modulations(AMs) and phase fluctuations(PFs) on the beam propagation quality of high-power laser beams passing through the multi-apertured ABCD optical system are considered and discussed. It is shown that PFs are able to degrade the beam propagation quality of laser beams more than AMs when the high-power laser beams passing through the aperture-spatial filter, furthermore, one or two aperture-lens optical systems configured appropriate aperture parameters are both able to upgrade the beam propagation quality of high-power laser beams. The M~2 factor of Gaussian beam passing through the multi-aperture optical system is a special case in this paper.  相似文献

We study the propagation properties of an Airy beam through a four-level electromagnetic induced transparency (EIT) atomic vapor. The analytical expression for the Airy beam passing through the ABCD optical system of the EIT vapor is deduced and employed to analyze the propagation characteristics of the beam. It is shown that both the deflection position and the intensity of the Airy beam can be modulated by the Rabi frequency of the control light. Such a tunable optical behavior may have some potential applications in medicine science.  相似文献

By expanding the hard-aperture function into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions, the recurrence propagation formula of a flattened Gaussian beam through multi-apertured optical ABCD systems is derived, and the propagation of a Gaussian beam is regarded as a special case in our theoretical model. The extension to the three-dimensional case is described. Numerical examples of the beam propagation through a multiple aperture-lens system and an aperture-spatial filter are given and compared with those by the straightforward numerical integration of the Collins formula. It is shown that our analytical results give a good trade-off between the computational time and accuracy, and provide a useful tool for simulating the beam propagation through complicated optical systems including multiple apertures and spatial filters. Finally, a comparison with the previous work is made and the main results obtained in this paper are summarized.  相似文献

An alternative theoretical model called circular partially coherent flattened Gaussian beam (FGB) is developed to describe a circular partially coherent beam with a flat-topped spatial profile. Explicit expression for the propagation factor of a circular partially coherent FGB is derived. We drive the analytical formulae for the cross-spectral density and mean-squared beam width of a circular partially coherent FGB propagating through a paraxial ABCD optical system based on the generalized Collins formula. The intensity, spreading and directionality properties of a circular partially coherent FGB propagating in free space are studied as numerical examples. The propagation properties of a circular partially coherent FGB agree well with those of a partially coherent flat-topped beam reported in the literature. Thus, our model provides an alternative but reliable model for describing a circular partially coherent beam with flat-topped profile.  相似文献

通过求解时谐条件下的亥姆霍兹方程,得到一个特解双偏心椭圆高斯光束,该光束由两个偏心椭圆高斯光束叠加而形成的,可用于描述大功率激光二极管远场分布双峰特性.分析了该光束的光场模型,运用惠更斯-菲涅尔广义积分公式,得到了该光束在一阶ABCD光学系统中的传输场分布和解析表达式,在此理论基础上,数值计算得到光场分布和远场发散角,并运用该光束模型模拟了新型激光二极管光场分布,理论结果与实际结果吻合.  相似文献

Based on the Collins diffraction integral formula, this work focus to the study of the propagation properties of a Bessel-like beam through an ABCD optical system. As it is not easy to develop an analytical expression describing the transformation of the Bessel-like beams by an ABCD optical system, numerical integration method was indispensable to conduct this research. The characteristics of the transformation of Bessel-like beams by three optical systems: free space, Fourier transform, Fractional Fourier transform system and quadratic graded-index system are numerically examined and treated as examples of optical systems in this investigation. Some numerical results are carried-out to show how the superposition of multiple Airy beams propagates and transforms by an ABCD optical system.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a new model, hollow Gaussian Schell-model beams (HGSMBs), to describe the practical dark hollow beams. An analytical propagation formula for HGSMBs passing through a paraxial first-order optical system is derived based on the theory of coherence. Based on the derived formula, an application example showing the influence of spatial coherence on the propagation of beams is illustrated. It is found that the beam propagating properties of HGSMBs will be greatly affected by their spatial coherence. Our model provides a very convenient way for analyzing the propagation properties of partially coherent dark hollow beams.  相似文献

 从Li提出的平顶光束模型和Collins公式出发,推导出平顶光束通过近轴ABCD光学系统K参数的解析传输公式。平顶光束的K参数与光束阶数M、瑞利长度zR和传输矩阵元A/B有关。另一方面,基于强度矩的传输方程,通过繁冗的积分,也推导出K参数的解析传输方程。大量数值计算结果证明二者所得结果相同。对平顶光束K参数的传输特性用数值计算例作了说明。  相似文献
