For a bounded regular Jordan domain in R 2, we introduce and study a new class of functions K() related on its Green function G. We exploit the properties of this class to prove the existence and the uniqueness of a positive solution for the singular nonlinear elliptic equation u+(x,u)=0, in D(), with u=0 on and uC(), where is a nonnegative Borel measurable function in ×(0,) that belongs to a convex cone which contains, in particular, all functions (x,t)=q(x)t ,>0 with nonnegative functions qK(). Let S be a cancellative semigroup which is a semilattice of left reversible semigroups S, . This article studies the relationship between the group of quotients G of S and the groups of quotients G of S, . It is shown that G is the maximum group homomorphic image of an inverse semigroup which is a semilattice of groups G (up to isomorphism).The technique used here which involves the use of Ore's quotients also applies to the study of the maximum group homomorphic image of a semigroup which is a semilattice of inverse semigroups.  相似文献

Let T- S, be a family of not necessarily bounded semi-Fredholm operators, where T and S are operators acting between Banach spaces X and Y, and where S is bounded with D(S) D(T). For compact sets , as well as for certain open sets , we investigate existence and minimal rank of bounded feedback perturbations of the form F=BE such that min.ind (T-S+F)=0 for all . Here B is a given operator from a linear space Z to Y and E is some operator from X to Z.We give a simple characterization of that situation, when such regularizing feedback perturbations exist and show that for compact sets the minimal rank never exceeds max { min.ind (T-S) }+1. Moreover, an example shows that the minimal rank, in fact, may increase from max {...} to max {...}+1, if the given B enforces a certain structure of the feedbachk perturbation F.However, the minimal rank is equal to max { min.ind (T-S) }, if is an open set such that min.ind (T-S) already vanishes for all but finitely many points . We illustrate this result by applying it to the stabilization of certain infinite-dimensional dynamical systems in Hilbert space.  相似文献

We study the problem of finding constant mean curvature graphsover a domain of a totally geodesic hyperplane andan equidistant hypersurface Q of hyperbolic space. We findthe existence of graphs of constant mean curvature H overmean convex domains Q and with boundary for –H < H |h|, where H > 0 is the mean curvature of the boundary . Here h is the mean curvature respectively of the geodesic hyperplane (h= 0) and of the equidistant hypersurface (0 < |h|< 1). The lower bound on H is optimal.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that the Hardy spaceH p (), 1p<, over a strictly pseudoconvex domain in n with smooth boundary is quasi-coherent. We extend a recent method of proof of a theorem by Kolmogorov on the conservation of quasi-periodic motion in Hamiltonian systems so as to prove existence of (uncountably many) real-analytic quasi-periodic solutions for elliptic systems u=f x (u, y), whereu y M u(y) N ,f=f(x, y) is a real-analytic periodic function and is a small parameter. Kolmogorov's theorem is obtained (in a special case) whenM=1 while the caseN=1 is (a special case of) a theorem by J. Moser on minimal foliations of codimension 1 on a torusT M +1. Like dismantling for finite posets, a perfect sequence = P : of a chain complete posetP represents a canonical procedure to produce a coreP . In 1972 M. O'Nan proved thatL n (q),h 3; can be characterized as a doubly-transitive groupG on a finite set , whereG a has an Abelian normal subgroup acting not semi-regularly on -a. Summary An equational identity of a given type involves two kinds of symbols: individual variables and the operation symbols. For example, the distributive identity: x (y + z) = x y + x z has three variable symbols {x, y, z} and two operation symbols {+, }. Here the variables range over all the elements of the base set while the two operation symbols are fixed. However, we shall say that an identity ishypersatisfied by a varietyV if, whenever we also allow the operation symbols to range over all polynomials of appropriate arity, the resulting identities are all satisfied byV in the usual sense. For example, the ring of integers Z; +, satisfies the above distributive law, but it does not hypersatisfy the same formal law because, e.g., the identityx + (y z) = (x + y) (x + z) is not valid. By contrast, is hypersatisfied by the variety of all distributive lattices and is thus referred to as a distributive latticehyperidentity. Thus a hyperidentity may be viewed as an equational scheme for writing a class of identities of a given type and the original identities themselves are obtained as special cases by substituting specific polynomials of appropriate arity for the operation symbols in the scheme. In the present work we study the existence and monotonicity properties of the imaginary zeros of the mixed Bessel functionM v(z)=(z2+)Jv(z)+zJv(z). Such a function includes as particular cases the functionsJ v(z)(==0), Jv(z)(=–v2,=1)x andH v(z)=Jv(z)+zJv(z), whereJ v(z) is the Bessel function of the first kind and of orderv>–1 andJ v(z), Jv(z) are the first two derivatives ofJ v(z). Upper and lower bounds found for the imaginary zeros of the functionsJ v(z), Jv(z) andH v(z) improve previously known bounds.
Zusammenfassung Dieser Artikel betrifft die Existenz und Monotonie von Eigenschaften imaginärer Nullen der gemischten BesselfunktionM v(z)=(z2+)Jv(z)+zJv(z). Eine solche Funktion enthält als Spezialfall die FunktionenJ v(z)(==0), Jv(z)(=–v2,=1) undH v(z)=Jv(z)+zJv(z), woJ v(z)die Besselfunktion von erster Art und Ordnungv>–1 andJ v(z), Jv(z) sind die erste und zweite Ableitung vonJ v(z). Untere und obere Schranken, die für die imaginären Nullen der FunktionenJ v(z), Jv(z) undH v(z) gefunden wurden, verbessern früher bekannte Resultate.
