In the paper we prove a theorem of Piccard’s type which generalizes [9, Theorem 2]. More precisely, we show that in an abelian Polish group X the set \(\left\{ {\left( {{x_{1, \ldots ,\;}}{x_N}} \right) \in \;{X^N}\;:\;A\; \cap \;\bigcap\limits_{i = 1}^N {\left( {A + {x_i}} \right)} \;is\;not\;Haar\;meager\;in\;X} \right\}\) is a neighbourhood of 0 for every N ∈ N and every Borel non-Haar meager set A ? This paper is a contribution to the Bayesian theory of semiparametric estimation. We are interested in the so-called Bernstein–von Mises theorem, in a semiparametric framework where the unknown quantity is (θ, f), with θ the parameter of interest and f an infinite-dimensional nuisance parameter. Two theorems are established, one in the case with no loss of information and one in the information loss case with Gaussian process priors. The general theory is applied to three specific models: the estimation of the center of symmetry of a symmetric function in Gaussian white noise, a time-discrete functional data analysis model and Cox’s proportional hazards model. In all cases, the range of application of the theorems is investigated by using a family of Gaussian priors parametrized by a continuous parameter.  相似文献

In this note we develop an extension of the Mar?enko-Pastur theorem to time series model with temporal correlations. The limiting spectral distribution (LSD) of the sample covariance matrix is characterised by an explicit equation for its Stieltjes transform depending on the spectral density of the time series. A numerical algorithm is then given to compute the density functions of these LSD’s.  相似文献

Let G be a finite p-solvable group and k be an algebraic closed field of characteristic p. It is proved that any projective indecomposable module of a G-graded k-algebra is an induced module of a module of the subalgebra graded by a Hall p'-subgroup. A necessary and sufficient condition for the indecomposability of an induced module from a Hall p'-subgroup is obtained.  相似文献

The Lebesgue decomposition theorem and the Radon–Nikodym theorem are the cornerstones of the classical measure theory. These theorems were generalized in several settings and several ways. Hassi, Sebestyén, and de Snoo recently proved a Lebesgue type decomposition theorem for nonnegative sesquilinear forms defined on complex linear spaces. The main purpose of this paper is to formulate and prove also a Radon–Nikodym type result in this setting. As an application, we present a Lebesgue type decomposition theorem and solve a special case of the infimum problem for densely defined (not necessarily bounded) positive operators.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth curve over a finite field of characteristic p, let ?≠p be a prime number, and let be an irreducible lisse -sheaf on X whose determinant is of finite order. By a theorem of L. Lafforgue, for each prime number ?′≠p, there exists an irreducible lisse -sheaf on X which is compatible with , in the sense that at every closed point x of X, the characteristic polynomials of Frobenius at x for and are equal. We prove an “independence of ?” assertion on the fields of definition of these irreducible ?′-adic sheaves : namely, that there exists a number field F such that for any prime number ?′≠p, the -sheaf above is defined over the completion of F at one of its ?′-adic places.  相似文献

The sampling theorem of Whittaker (1915) [31], Kotel?nikov (1933) [25] and Shannon (1949) [28] gives cardinal series representations for finite L2-Fourier transforms at equidistant sampling points. Here we investigate the situation when the Fourier transform is replaced by a perturbed one. Thus the kernel of the transform will be of the form exp(−ixt)+ε(x,t), instead of exp(−ixt) in the unperturbed case. The perturbed kernel arises from first order eigenvalue problems with rank one perturbations.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the existence of optimal solutions to a constrained polynomial optimization problem.
