It is shown that the solution produced by the Exp-function method may not hold for all initial conditions. Riccati and Maccari nonlinear differential equations are used to illustrate that fact. Conditions of existence for the produced solution in the space of initial conditions and in the space of system’s parameters are derived using the operator method based on the generalized operator of differentiation. The concept of the expansion of an ordinary differential equation is introduced and it is shown that the algebraic–analytical solution of Maccari equation can be produced by solving Riccati equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish new solitary wave solutions to the modified Kawahara equation by the sine-cosine method. Moreover, the periodic solutions and bell-shaped solitons solutions to the generalized fifth-order KdV equation are obtained. The tanh method is used to handle the double sine-Gordon equation and the double sinh-Gordon equation. Families of exact travelling wave solutions are formally derived. The rational triangle sine-cosine method is introduced and to be constructed complex solutions to the modified Degasperis-Procesi (DP) equation and the modified Camassa-Holm (CH) equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the method of iterative operator splitting on the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. The method is based on first, splitting the complex problem into simpler sub-problems. Then each sub-equation is combined with iterative schemes and solved with suitable integrators. Von Neumann analysis is performed to achieve stability criteria for the proposed method applied to the KdV equation. The numerical results obtained by iterative splitting method for various initial conditions are compared with the exact solutions. It is seen that they are in a good agreement with each other.  相似文献

Generalized solitary waves with exponentially small nondecaying far field oscillations have been studied in a range of singularly perturbed differential equations, including higher order Korteweg‐de Vries (KdV) equations. Many of these studies used exponential asymptotics to compute the behavior of the oscillations, revealing that they appear in the solution as special curves known as Stokes lines are crossed. Recent studies have identified similar behavior in solutions to difference equations. Motivated by these studies, the seventh‐order KdV and a hierarchy of higher order KdV equations are investigated, identifying conditions which produce generalized solitary wave solutions. These results form a foundation for the study of infinite‐order differential equations, which are used as a model for studying lattice equations. Finally, a lattice KdV equation is generated using finite‐difference discretization, in which a lattice generalized solitary wave solution is found.  相似文献

In this research, we find the exact traveling wave solutions involving parameters of the generalized Hirota–Satsuma couple KdV system according to the modified simple equation method with the aid of Maple 16. When these parameters are taken special values, the solitary wave solutions are derived from the exact traveling wave solutions. It is shown that the modified simple equation method provides an effective and a more powerful mathematical tool for solving nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics. Comparison between our results and the well-known results will be presented.  相似文献

Using homogeneous balance method an auto-Bäcklund transformation for a generalized variable coefficients 2D KdV equation is obtained. Then new exact solutions are found which include solitary one. Also, we have found certain new analytical soliton-typed solution in terms of the variable coefficients of the studied 2D KdV equation.  相似文献

By using the solutions of an auxiliary ordinary differential equation, a direct algebraic method is described to construct the exact solutions for nonlinear evolution equations. In this paper an exponential convergence rate for a spectral projection of the periodic initial-value problem for the generalized KdV equation is proved. Based on this convergence result, a method for determining the radius of analyticity of solutions of the generalized KdV equation is derived. In this work, we develop a new integrable equation by combining the KdV equation and the negative‐order KdV equation. We use concurrently the KdV recursion operator and the inverse KdV recursion operator to construct this new integrable equation. We show that this equation nicely passes the Painlevé test. As a result, multiple soliton solutions and other soliton and periodic solutions are guaranteed and formally derived.  相似文献

With the help of an extended mapping method and a linear variable separation method, new types of variable separation solutions (including solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions and rational function solutions) with two arbitrary functions for (2 + 1)-dimensional Korteweg–de Vries system (KdV) are derived. Usually, in terms of solitary wave solutions and rational function solutions, one can find some important localized excitations. However, based on the derived periodic wave solution in this paper, we find that some novel and significant localized coherent excitations such as dromions, peakons, stochastic fractal patterns, regular fractal patterns, chaotic line soliton patterns as well as chaotic patterns exist in the KdV system as considering appropriate boundary conditions and/or initial qualifications.  相似文献

A technique based on the reduction of order for solving differential equations is employed to investigate a generalized nonlinear Boussinesq wave equation. The compacton solutions, solitons, solitary pattern solutions, periodic solutions and algebraic travelling wave solutions for the equation are expressed analytically under several circumstances. 给出了高精度的广义有限谱方法.为使方法在时间离散方面保持高精度,采用了Adams-Bashforth 预报格式和Adams-Moulton校正格式,为了避免由Korteweg-de Vries(KdV)方程的弥散项引起的数值振荡, 给出了两种数值稳定器.以Legendre多项式、Chebyshev多项式和Hermite多项式为基函数作为例子,给出的方法与具有分析解的Burgers方程的非线性对流扩散问题和KdV方程的单孤独波和双孤独波传播问题进行了比较,结果非常吻合.  相似文献

We consider solitary-wave solutions of the generalized regularized long-wave (RLW) and Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations. We prove the convergence of Adomian decomposition method applied to the generalized RLW and KdV equations. Then we obtain the exact solitary-wave solutions and numerical solutions of the generalized RLW and KdV equations for the initial conditions. The numerical solutions are compared with the known analytical solutions. Their remarkable accuracy are finally demonstrated for the generalized RLW and KdV equations.  相似文献

By using some exact solutions of an auxiliary ordinary differential equation, a new direct algebraic method is described to construct the exact complex solutions for nonlinear partial differential equations.
