A novel method for the preparation of chromogenic calixarenes with azo groups was reported.p-Substituted(-NO2,-CH3,-Cl)amilines were diazotized with isoamyl nitrite in EtONa/EtOH under refluxing condition.Fifteen mono-,bis-,tris-and tetrakis(p-substituted phenyl)azo calix[4]arenes (including proximal and distal isomers) were obtainged respectively by diazo-coupling in different molar ratio to calix[4]arenes(1) under pH=7.5-9.0 in non-aqueous solution at 0-5℃.^1H NMR and ^13C NMR spectra of (p-substtituted phenyl)azo calix[4]-arenes indicated that they existed in cone conformation in solution.  相似文献

RHF/3-21G and B3LYP/3-21G methods are used to calculate the hydrogen bond energies in calix[4]-, calix[6]-, p-fluorocalix[4]-, p-fluorocalix[6]-, p-chlorocalix[4]-, p-chlorocalix[6]-, p-bromocalix[4]-, pbromocalix[6]-, p-iodocalix[4]-, p-iodocalix[6]-arenes and a number of other p-substituted calix[4]- and calix[6]arenes (R = Me, OMe, NO2, Ac, NH2, CN, N2+). The calculations along with the structural data give evidence of the cooperative effect of hydrogen bonding. Multiple correlation (p ≥ 0.9) between the pairs of Hammett substituent constants and the calculated values of hydrogen bond energies in the corresponding p-substituted calixarenes is found. It is predicted that in the presence of weak bases and in aprotic solvents as well as in the gas phase, the nucleophilic substitution reaction involving p-halogen calix[6]arenes should proceed through diastereomeric transition states.  相似文献

Five novel azo calix[4]arenes were reported. The p-aminobenzaldehyde was diazotized with sodium nitrite in aqueous hydrochloride solution. Mono-, bis-, tris- and tetrakis(p-formylphenyl)azo calix[4]arenes (including proximal and distal isomers) were obtained respectively by diazo-coupling in different molar ratio to calix[4]arene(1) under pH=7.5--8.5 at 0-5℃. All (p-formylphenyl)azo calix[4]arenes were characterized by ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR, IR, MS (ESIMS) spectroscopies and elemental analysis.  相似文献

A seemingly ipso-like nucleophilic substitution of the upper rim of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene is accomplished by an indirect method involving calix[4]arene derived bis(spirodienone). This method not only provides both mono and 1,3-diaryloxy calixarenes but also enables the synthesis of upper rim monothio substituted calix[4]arenes. A modification of the methodology can be successfully extended for the selective synthesis of mono- and 1,3-diquinone calix[4]arenes having free hydroxyl groups at the lower rim, in fewer steps.  相似文献

The p-nitrophenylazo calix[4] arene derivatives la-ld with nonlinear optical(NLO)properties were prepared by the diazo-coupling reaction of calix[4]arene with p-nitrophenyl diazonium.The diazotization reaction of p-nltroaniline was caried out with isoamyl nitrite as a source of nitrous acid in EtONa/EtOH under refluxing conditon.X-Ray crystallographic analysis and ^1H NMR sptectra reveal that they exist as cone conformation in crystal state or in soution.HRS measurements at 1064 nm in THF indicate that p-nitrophenylazo calix[4]arenes have higher hyperpolarizability βz values than the corresponding reference compound 4-(4-nitrophenylazo)-2,6-dimethyl-phenol,without red shift of the charge transfer band.The tetrakis p-nitropheylazo calix[4]arene(2)with longer alkyl chains can form monolayer aht the air/water interface.  相似文献

The syntheses and structures of uranyl complexes of p-t-Bu-calix[6]arene (calix[6]H6) and p-t-Bu-calix[9]arene (calix[9]H9) are reported, further developing the role of calixarenes as 'cluster keepers'. The calix[6]arene complex, formulated as [(HO){UO2(calix[6]H4)(dmso)}3H], is trinuclear and linked symmetrically by the hydroxyl O atom. The calix[9]arene complex is binuclear, with a carbonate atom bridging between the two uranyl cations to give the complex, (HNEt3)3[(OCO2)(UO2)3(calix[9]H4)].  相似文献

以对苯二甲醛、乙酸酐为原料合成对苯二甲醛单缩醛, 接着与间苯二酚反应, 制备了含醛基杯[4]芳烯. 利用季戊四醇与含醛基杯[4]芳烯反应, 进而再与3-[4-(2,5-二氧杂环戊基)苯基]-9-[4-二(甲羰氧基)甲基苯基]-2,4,8,10-四氧杂螺环[5.5]十一烷反应, 合成了杯[4]芳烯星形化合物, 收率为65.2%. 产品结构经 IR, 1H NMR, MS 和元素分析进行了表征.  相似文献

The complex characteristics of p-sulfonated calix[n]arene and colchicine were examined using various techniques. Cyclic voltammetry indicated that the structural matching and electrostatic interactions were the dominant stabilizing factors for the host–guest complexes. The method showed a long linear voltammetric range for p-sulfonated calix[4]arene from 1?×?10?8 to 1?×?10?6?mol?L?1 with a detection limit of 3?×?10?9?mol?L?1. Ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy confirmed that a 1:1 ratio complex was formed. Molecular mechanics showed that the benzene ring of colchicine entered the p-sulfonated calix[4]arene cavity. The solubility of colchicine increased with the p-sulfonated calix[4]arene concentration 50-fold from 0.13 to 6.4?mol?L?1. The simulation of cell membrane permeability indicated that colchicine was released from the colchicine-p-sulfonated calix[4]arene complex and entered the hydrophobic micelles. These results show that p-sulfonated calix[4]arene is suitable as a drug carrier for colchicine. This work has expanded applications of drug loading, transport, and targeted release for the treatment of gout.  相似文献

A new family of hyperbranched molecules and dendrimers has been constructed from a diamide–dicalix derivative prepared from monocarbomethoxymethyl p-tert-butyl calix[4]arene and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (‘tren’) via amide-formation reactions. The selective 1,3-di-O-functionalization of p-tert-butyl calix[4]arene moieties allows the synthesis of first- (G1) and second-generation (G2) calix-dendrimers. Replacement of the quadridentate amine by a trithia-ether-triamine-mono-ol, ’hyten’, again results in acylation of the amino groups, but with the generation of a central cavity with different complexing properties.

The tetra-isopropyl ethers of calix[4]arene and p-t-butylcalix[4]arene have been isolated in the cone conformation, and structurally characterised as chloroform solvates. Thermogravimetric analysis demonstrated that the parent isopropylcalix[4]arene solvate is significantly more stable than the p-t-butylcalix[4]arene analogue, retaining the solvent up to a temperature of 125°C. It was found that the calix[4]arene ether sublimes at atmospheric pressure, and solvent-free crystals appropriate for structure determination were produced at reduced pressure. The p-t-butylcalix[4]arene ether was also isolated without solvent in the lattice, but in this case the calixarene was crystallised from acetone, as sublimation did not produce crystals of sufficient quality.  相似文献

The binuclear Co(II) complexes of calix[4]arene substituted 2-vanillin (R1) and 2-hydroxy naphthaldimine (R2), Schiff bases (Co2L1 and Co2L2) have been synthesized, characterized and employed as models to mimic monooxygenase in the catalytical oxidation of olefins. The kinetic mathematical model (oxygen rebound mechanism) for olefin cleavage catalyzed by the complexes has been proposed. The results show that, compared to the calix[4]arene-free analogous, the mono and multinuclear complexes of calix[4]arene Schiff bases as catalyst exhibit high activity in the olefin catalytic oxidation.  相似文献

This study focused on the use of NMR techniques as a tool for the investigation of complex formation between proparacaine and cyclodextrins (CDs) or p‐sulfonic acid calix[6]arene. The pH dependence of the complexation of proparacaine with β‐CD and p‐sulfonic acid calix[6]arene was studied and binding constants were determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy [diffusion‐ordered spectroscopy (DOSY)] for the charged and uncharged forms of the local anesthetic in β‐CD and p‐sulfonic acid calix[6]arene. The stoichiometries of the complexes was determined and rotating frame Overhauser enhancement spectroscopy (ROESY) 1D experiments revealed details of the molecular insertion of proparacaine into the β‐CD and p‐sulfonic acid calix[6]arene cavities. The results unambiguously demonstrate that pH is an important factor for the development of supramolecular architectures based on β‐CD and p‐sulfonic acid calix[6]arene as the host molecules. Such host–guest complexes were investigated in view of their potential use as new therapeutic formulations, designed to increase the bioavailability and/or to decrease the systemic toxicity of proparacaine in anesthesia procedures. Various operating conditions have been applied on tetrakis[p‐(halogenomethyl)]‐ and tetrakis[p‐(aminomethyl)]calix[4]arene derivatives to improve the synthesis of the 5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(diethylphosphono)methyl]‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene. Two new, high yield, synthetic pathways have been selected, involving, for the first one, the 25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxy‐5,11,17,23‐tetrakis[(trimethylamino)methyl]calix[4]arene, tetraiodide, DMF, and 10 equiv. of triethyl phosphite ((EtO)3P), and, for the other one, the 5,11,17,23‐tetra(bromomethyl)‐25,26,27,28‐tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene, CH2Cl2, and only 4 equiv. of (EtO)2P.  相似文献

Two calix[4]arene derivatives, in the partial cone conformation, with sulfur-containing functionalities, were tested as neutral carrier ionophores in potentiometric silver-selective electrodes of conventional membrane and membrane-coated glassy carbon electrode types. Comparison with a calix[4]arene in the cone conformation was made. The membranes were prepared using either 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether or bis(ethylhexyl)sebacate as plasticizers and potassium tetrakis(p-chlorophenyl)borate as the lipophilic salt in a poly(vinyl chloride) matrix. Both calix[4]arenes yielded electrodes of good sensitivity (approx. 47 mV dec−1) in the range 10−4–10−1 M and excellent selectivity [log KAg,MH+ < −1.5] of transition, alkali and heavy metal cations, including sodium, mercury(II) and lead(II) cations. Temperature effects and reproducibility of response were determined and the interfering effects of mercury(II) and lead (II) ions on the membranes were noted. The partial cone conformation allows improved selectivity over certain cations relative to calix[4]arenes in the cone conformation.  相似文献

In this study, we report the highly sensitive extraction-fluorometric detection system of Na+ using flow injection analysis with a tetraester derivative of fluorescent calix[4]arene. In liquid-liquid extraction experiments, the fluorescent intensity of calix[4]arene derivative 1 bearing a p-nitrophenol moiety was highly dependent on pH and the Na+ concentration in the aqueous phase. On the other hand, such phenomenon was not observed in the case of calix[4]arene derivative 2, which is almost the same structure as 1 except for a p-nitrophenol moiety. These results show that the proton dissociation of the p-nitrophenol moiety decisively affects the fluorescence intensity of 1. Owing to these fluorescence responsiveness, a calibration graph of the Na+ concentration could be successfully prepared using flow injection analysis with good linearity at the tens of nanomolar level. The tetraester scaffold of calix[4]arene was essential to the detection of Na+ in such a very low concentration range.  相似文献

New photoreactive calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups (calixarenes 3a–3c ) were synthesized by the reaction of 2‐bromomethyl‐1,4,6‐trioxaspiro[4.4]nonane with 2,8,14,20‐tetramethyl‐4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24‐octakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[4]resorcinarene, 5,11,17,23,29,35‐hexamethyl‐37,38,39,40,41,42‐hexakis(carboxymethoxy)calix[6]arene, and 5,11,17,23,29,35,41,47‐octa‐tert‐butyl‐49,50,51,52, 53,54,55,56‐octakis‐(carboxymethoxy)calix[8]arene, which were prepared by the reaction of C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene, p‐methylcalix[6]arene, and ptert‐butylcalix[8]arene, respectively. The thermal stability of the obtained calixarene derivatives containing spiro ortho ester groups was examined with thermogravimetric analysis, and it was found that these calixarene derivatives had good thermal stability. The photoinitiated cationic polymerization of spiro ortho ester groups in calixarene derivatives 3a–3c was examined with certain photoacid generators in the film state. Interestingly enough, the reaction of calixarene derivatives did not proceed with only photoirradiation; however, the reaction proceeded smoothly when the photoirradiation was followed by heating. Furthermore, calixarene 3a , composed of a C‐methylcalix[4]resorcinarene structure, showed the highest photochemical reactivity in this reaction system. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In order to obtain insights into relationships between the calix[4]arene structure and the ion selectivity in the electrode system, 20 ionophoric calix[4]arenes were synthesized and their ion selectivity (with Na+ as a standard) estimated. Among these ionophoric calix[4]arenes, 25,26,27,28-tetrakis[(ethoxycarbonyl)methoxy]-p-t-octylcalix[4]arene afforded the highest logK NA,M pot value (–3.1) in the presence of 2-fluorophenyl-2-nitrophenylether (10) as the best of 13 plasticizers. This is the first example in which the Na+/K+ selectivity exceeds a factor of 103 in the electrode system based on the neutral carrier. The high Na+ selectivity is attributed to modification of the upper rim which ostensibly has no relation with the component of the cavity. This paper demonstrates the potential relationships between the unique structure of the calix[4]arene-based ligands and selectivity performance for the design of ion-selective electrodes.  相似文献

In this work, we report that 2-cyano-2-phenylpropanoic acid and its p-Cl, p-CH3 and p-OCH3 derivatives can be used as chemical fuels to control the geometry of the calix[4]arene scaffold in its cone conformation. It is shown that, under the action of the fuel, the cone calix[4]arene platform assumes a “locked” shape with two opposite aromatic rings strongly convergent and the other two strongly divergent (“pinched cone” conformation). Only when the fuel is exhausted, the cone calix[4]arene scaffold returns to its resting, “unlocked” shape. Remarkably, the duration of the “locked” state can be controlled at will by varying the fuel structure or amount. A kinetic study of the process shows that the consume of the fuel is catalyzed by the “unlocked” calixarene that behaves as an autocatalyst for its own production. A mechanism is proposed for the reaction of fuel consumption.  相似文献
