Geometry of warped product pseudo-slant submanifolds of Kenmotsu manifolds

In this paper, we study pseudo-slant submanifolds and their warped products in Kenmotsu manifolds. We obtain the necessary conditions that a pseudoslant submanifold is locally a warped product and establish an inequality for the squared norm of the second fundamental form in terms of the warping function. The equality case is also considered.     

Pointwise Pseudo-slant Warped Product Submanifolds in a Kähler Manifold

The purpose of this paper is to study the pointwise pseudo-slant warped product submanifolds of a Kähler manifold \(\widetilde{M}\). We derive the conditions of integrability and totally geodesic foliation for the distributions allied to the characterization of a pointwise pseudo-slant submanifolds of \(\widetilde{M}\). The necessary and sufficient conditions for isometrically immersed pointwise pseudo-slant submanifolds of \(\widetilde{M}\) to be a pointwise pseudo-slant warped product and a locally Riemannian product are obtained. Further, we classify pointwise pseudo-slant warped product submanifolds of \(\widetilde{M}\) by developing the sharp inequalities in terms of second fundamental form and wrapping function.     

ON THE INVARIANT SUBMANIFOLDS OF RIEMANNIAN PRODUCT MANIFOLD

In this paper, the vertical and horizontal distributions of an invariant submanifold of a Riemannian product manifold are discussed. An invariant real space form in a Riemannian product manifold is researched. Finally, necessary and sufficient conditions are given on an invariant submanifold of a Riemannian product manifold to be a locally symmetric and real space form.     

Screen Pseudo-Slant Lightlike Submanifolds of Indefinite Sasakian Manifolds

In this paper, we introduce the notion of screen pseudo-slant lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Sasakian manifolds giving characterization theorem with some non-trivial examples of such submanifolds. Integrability conditions of distributions D ₁, D ₂ and RadTM on screen pseudo-slant lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Sasakian manifolds have been obtained. Further, we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for foliations determined by above distributions to be totally geodesic. We also study mixed geodesic screen pseudo-slant lightlike submanifolds of indefinite Sasakian manifolds.     

NATURAL FROBENIUS SUBMANIFOLDS

I.A.B. Strachan introduced the notion of a natural Frobenius submanifold of a Frobenius manifold and gave a sufficient but not necessary condition for a submanifold to be a natural Frobenius submanifold. This article will give a necessary and sufficient condition and classify the natural Frobenius hypersurfaces.     

Slant Lightlike Submanifolds of Indefinite Cosymplectic Manifolds

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a slant lightlike submanifold of an indefinite Cosymplectic manifold. We provide a nontrivial example and obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a slant lightlike submanifold. Also, we give an example of a minimal slant lightlike submanifold of R⁹₂{R^{9}_{2}} and prove some characterization Theorems.     

Tensor Product Weight Representations of the Neveu–Schwarz Algebra

We study the tensor product of a highest weight module with an intermediate series module over the Neveu–Schwarz algebra. If the highest weight module is nontrivial, the weight spaces of such a tensor product are infinite dimensional. We show that such a tensor product is indecomposable. Using a “shifting technique” developed by H. Chen, X. Guo, and K. Zhao for the Virasoro algebra case, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for such a tensor product to be irreducible. Furthermore, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for two such tensor products to be isomorphic.     

Homogeneous polynomials with isomorphic milnor algebras

We recall first Mather’s Lemma providing effective necessary and sufficient conditions for a connected submanifold to be contained in an orbit. We show that two homogeneous polynomials having isomorphic Milnor algebras are right-equivalent.     

A class of new braided Hopf algebras

We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for a general crossed product algebra equipped with the usual tensor product coalgebra structure to be a Hopf algebra. Furthermore, we obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the general crossed product Hopf algebra to be a braided Hopf algebra which generalizes some known results.     

A note on biharmonic submanifolds of product spaces

We investigate biharmonic submanifolds of the product of two space forms. We prove a necessary and sufficient condition for biharmonic submanifolds in these product spaces. Then, we obtain mean curvature estimates for proper-biharmonic submanifold of a product of two unit spheres. We also prove a non-existence result in the case of the product of a sphere and a hyperbolic space.     

Parallel focal structure and singular Riemannian foliations

We give a necessary and sufficient condition for a submanifold with parallel focal structure to give rise to a global foliation of the ambient space by parallel and focal manifolds. We show that this is a singular Riemannian foliation with complete orthogonal transversals. For this object we construct an action on the transversals that generalizes the Weyl group action for polar actions.

Factorization of a singular matrix into nilpotent matrices with prescribed ranks

We give necessary and sufficient conditions for a singular matrix over an arbitrary field to be factorized into a product of two nilpotent matrices with prescribed ranks.     

Complete submanifolds of manifolds of negative curvature

In this article, we give sufficient conditions for a complete non-compact submanifold in a simply connected manifold of negative sectional curvature to have only one end. We also prove some Liouville theorems for harmonic maps from the same kind of submanifolds to manifolds of non-positive curvature.     

SUBMANIFOLDS WITH NONNEGATIVE SECTIONAL CURVATURE

This paper gives some sufficient conditions for a compact submanifold with nonnegative sectional curvature in a space form to be totally umbilical. In particular, for a compact submanifold M with flat normal bundle, if the scalar curvature is proportional to the mean curvature everywhere, then M is totally umbilical or the Riemannian product of several totally umbilical constantly curved submanifolds.     

Two Results on Brzeziński π-crossed Product

We give the necessary and sufficient conditions for a family of Brzezínski crossed product algebras with suitable comultiplication and counit to be a Hopf π-coalgebra. On the other hand, necessary and sufficient conditions for the Brzeziński π-crossed product A?H to be a coquasitriangular Hopf π-coalgebra are derived, then the category ^A?H ? of the left π-comodules over A?H is braided.     

Cutoffs for product chains

We consider products of ergodic Markov chains and discuss their cutoffs in total variation. Our framework is general in that rates to pick up coordinates are not necessary equal, and different coordinates may correspond to distinct chains. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for cutoffs of product chains in terms of those of coordinate chains under certain conditions. A comparison of mixing times between the product chain and its coordinate chains is made in detail as well. Examples are given to show that neither cutoffs for product chains nor for coordinate chains imply others in general.

Sharp results for the Weyl product on modulation spaces

We give sufficient and necessary conditions on the Lebesgue exponents for the Weyl product to be bounded on modulation spaces. The sufficient conditions are obtained as the restriction to N=2$N=2$ of a result valid for the N-fold Weyl product. As a byproduct, we obtain sharp conditions for the twisted convolution to be bounded on Wiener amalgam spaces.     

Reducing subspaces of compressed analytic Toeplitz operators on the Hardy space

In this paper we discuss necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the compression of an analytic Toeplitz operator onto a shift coinvariant subspace to have nontrivial reducing subspaces. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for the kernel of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is the quotient of two inner functions to be nontrivial and obtain examples of reducing subspaces from these kernels. Motivated by this result we give necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for the kernel of a Toeplitz operator whose symbol is the quotient of two inner functions to be nontrivial in terms of the supports of the two inner functions. By studying the commutant of a compression, we are able to give a necessary condition for the existence of reducing subspaces on certain shift coinvariant subspaces.
