We first generalize a classical iteration formula for one variable holomorphic mappings to a formula for higher dimensional holomorphic mappings. Then, as an application, we give a short and intuitive proof of a classical theorem, due to H. Poincaré, for the condition under which a singularity of a holomorphic vector field is an isochronous center.

In this paper we solve an initial‐boundary value problem that involves a pde with a nonlocal term. The problem comes from a cell division model where the growth is assumed to be stochastic. The deterministic version of this problem yields a first‐order pde; the stochastic version yields a second‐order parabolic pde. There are no general methods for solving such problems even for the simplest cases owing to the nonlocal term. Although a solution method was devised for the simplest version of the first‐order case, the analysis does not readily extend to the second‐order case. We develop a method for solving the second‐order case and obtain the exact solution in a form that allows us to study the long time asymptotic behaviour of solutions and the impact of the dispersion term. We establish the existence of a large time attracting solution towards which solutions converge exponentially in time. The dispersion term does not appear in the exponential rate of convergence.  相似文献

The main purpose of this work is to provide a numerical approach for the delay partial differential equations based on a spectral collocation approach. In this research, a rigorous error analysis for the proposed method is provided. In the present analysis, the motion of an immersed plate in a Newtonian fluid described by Torvik and Bagley’s fractional differential equation [1] has been considered. This Bagley Torvik equation has been solved by operational matrix of Haar wavelet method. The obtained result is compared with analytical solution suggested by Podlubny [2]. Haar wavelet method is used because its computation is simple as it converts the problem into algebraic matrix equation.  相似文献

In this article a numerical method for solving a two‐dimensional transport equation in the stationary case is presented. Using the techniques of the variational calculus, we find the approximate solution for a homogeneous boundary‐value problem that corresponds to a square domain D2. Then, using the method of the fictitious domain, we extend our algorithm to a boundary value problem for a set D that has an arbitrary shape. In this approach, the initial computation domain D (called physical domain) is immersed in a square domain D2. We prove that the solution obtained by this method is a good approximation of the exact solution. We consider a solvable problem describing the dynamics of a quantum oscillator interacting with an electromagnetic field, a classical force, and a heat bath. We propose a general method for solving Markovian master equations, the method of quantum trajectories. We construct the stochastic evolution operator involving the stochastic analogue of the Baker-Hausdorff formula and calculate the system density matrix for an arbitrary initial state. In this article, new extension of the generalized and improved (G′/G)-expansion method is proposed for constructing more general and a rich class of new exact traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. To demonstrate the novelty and motivation of the proposed method, we implement it to the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. The new method is oriented toward the ease of utilize and capability of computer algebraic system and provides a more systematic, convenient handling of the solution process of nonlinear equations. Further, obtained solutions disclose a wider range of applicability for handling a large variety of nonlinear partial differential equations.  相似文献

An error bound for the collocation method by spline in tension is developed for a nonlinear boundary value problemay+by+cy=f(·,y),y(0)=y 0,y(1)=y 1. Sharp error bounds for the interpolating splines in tension are used in conjunction with recently obtained formulae for B-splines, to develop an error bound depending on the tension parameters and net spacing. For singularly perturbed boundary value problems (|a|=1), the representation of the error motivates a choice of tension parameters which makes the convergence of the collocation method problem at least linear. The B-representation of the spline in tension is also used in the actual computations. In this paper, we apply He''s Variational iteration method (VIM) for solving nonlinear Newell-Whitehead-Segel equation. By using this method three different cases of Newell-Whitehead-Segel equation have been discussed. Comparison of the obtained result with exact solutions shows that the method used is an effective and highly promising method for solving different cases of nonlinear Newell-Whitehead-Segel equation.  相似文献

In this article, Exp‐function method is used to obtain an exact solution of the equal‐width wave‐Burgers equation (EW‐Burgers). The method is straightforward and concise, and its applications are promising.
