A capillary electrophoretic method was developed for the simultaneous determination of Sb(III) and Bi(III). A 1.0 mM W(VI)-0.10 mM P(V) complexing reagent readily reacted with a mixture of trace amounts of Sb(III) and Bi(III) to form the corresponding ternary Keggin-type complexes; [P(SbIIIW11)O40]6− and [P(BiIIIW11)O40]6− in 0.01 M malonate buffer (pH 2.4). Since the peaks due to the migrations of the ternary complex anions were well separated in the electropherogram, the pre-column complex-formation reaction was applied to the simultaneous CE determination of Sb(III) and Bi(III) with direct UV detection at 255 nm. The calibration curves were linear in the range of 2×10−7-5×10−5 M; a detection limit of 1×10−7 M was achieved for Sb(III) or Bi(III) (the signal-to-noise ratio=3).  相似文献

The H-point standard addition method (HPSAM) was applied to kinetic data for simultaneous determination of Sb(V) and Sb(III) and also selectively determines Sb(V) in the presence of Sb(III). The method is based on the differences between rate of complexation of pyrogallol red with Sb(V) and Sb(III) at pH=2. Sb(V) can be determined in the range of 0.3-2.0 μg ml−1 with satisfactory accuracy and precision in the presence of excess Sb(III). Good selectivity was obtained over the variety of metal ions. The proposed method was used for determination of Sb(V) and Sb(III) in river and spring water samples.  相似文献

A method for simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of Sb(III) and Sb(V) using multivariate calibration method is proposed. This method is based on the development of the reaction between the analytes and pyrogallol red at pH 2.00. The selection of variables was studied. A series of synthetic solutions containing different concentrations of Sb(III) and Sb(V) were used to check the prediction ability of the partial least squares model. The calibration curves were linear over the range of 0.3-3.4 and 0.3-3.0 μg ml−1 for Sb(III) and Sb(V), respectively. The detection limits were 0.177 and 0.200 μg ml−1 for Sb(III) and Sb(V), respectively.  相似文献

A spectrophotometric method for the selective determination of antimony (III) and (V) in antileishmanial drugs is described. The procedure is based on the reaction of Sb(III) with bromopyrogallol red (BPR) in neutral solution. As a consequence of the Sb-BPR complex formed, the absorbance of BPR, at 560 nm, decreases proportionally to the amount of Sb(III) in the analyte solution. The calculated apparent molar absorptivity and determination limits are 3.67 × 104 L · cm–1 · mol–1 and 1.65 × 10–6 mol/L, respectively. Sb(V) is determined after reduction to Sb(III) by iodide. The Sb(V) content determined in ten samples of Glucantime varied from 75.40 ± 0.97 to 94.47 ± 1.0 mg/mL. Sb(III) was detected in all samples analyzed, and mean values ranged from 5.19 ± 0.16 to 10.52 ± 0.15 mg/mL. The method is suitable for the routine quality control of pharmaceutical formulations. A sensitive and selective voltammetric method for simultaneous determination of Sb(III) and Mo(VI) using Quercetin (Q) as complexing agent is described. Optimal conditions were found to be: pH 3.7, CQ=6.0 µmol L?1 and Eacc=?0.10 V. The LOD (3σ) for Sb(III) are 0.076 and 0.040 µg L?1, whereas for Mo(VI) are 0.086 and 0.048 µg L?1 with tacc of 60 and 120 s, respectively. The method was validated using synthetic sea water (ASTM D665) and was applied to the determination of Sb(III) and Mo(VI) in natural waters with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Summary Several new complexes of Sb(III) and Bi(III) with thiosemicarbazones of furfuraldehyde, thiophene-2-carbaldehyde, indol-3-carbaldehyde and pyridine-2-carbaldehyde have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity, molecular weight determination and IR,1H-and13C-NMR spectral studies. The ligands form complexes of the typeMX 3 L[M=Sb(III) or Bi(III);X=chloride;L=ligand] which are found to be non-electrolytes inDMF. Spectral data indicate that the thiosemicarbazones act as bidentate ligands through the azomethine nitrogen and sulphur.

A method is described for the differential determination of As(III) and As(V). and Sb(III) and Sb(V) by hydride generation-atomic absorption spectrophotometry with hydrogen-nitrogen flame using sodium borohydride solution as a reductant. For the determination of As(III) and Sb(III), most of the elements, other than Ag+, Cu2+, Sn2+, Se4+ and Te4+, do not interfere in an at least 30,000 fold excess with respect to As(III) or Sb(III). This method was applied to the determination of these species in sea water and it was found that a sample size of only 100 ml is enough to determine them with a precision of 1.5–2.5%. Analytical results for surface sea water of Hiroshima Bay were 0.72 μgl?1, 0.27 μgl?1 and 0.22 μgl?1 for As(total), As(III) and Sb(total), respectively, but Sb(III) was not detected in the present sample. The effect of acidification on storage was also examined.  相似文献

Chemical vapor generation (CVG) coupled with non-dispersive atomic fluorescence spectrometry (NDAFS) has been widely used for determination of vapor-forming elements, but most of such works have been focused on single element analysis, and reports dealing with more than three elements simultaneous determination by CVG-NDAFS are rare. In this work, a sensitive and robust analytical procedure for the simultaneous determination of arsenic, antimony, bismuth and mercury in geological materials using vapor generation-four-channel non-dispersive atomic fluorescence spectrometry has been developed. The conditions of instrumentation and vapor generation of arsenic, antimony, bismuth and mercury were optimized. The optimized concentrations of KBH(4) and HCl required for analytes generation were 1.3% (m/v) and 20% (v/v), respectively. The interferences of coexisting ions and mutual hydride interferences were investigated carefully. One thousand milligrams per litre of Fe(3+); 500mgl(-1) of Pb(2+), Zn(2+), Mn(2+); 50mgl(-1) Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Cr(6+), Co(2+); 10mgl(-1) Ag(+) and 5mgl(-1) Au(3+) does not interfere with the determination of As, Sb, Bi and Hg. Associating a dilution of 1:250 (m/v) in the procedure of sample pretreatment, the tolerant concentrations of As, Sb, Bi and Hg in real geological materials are 2500, 1000, 250 and 5000ppm, respectively. Under optimal conditions, the detection limits for As, Sb, Bi and Hg were determined to be 0.068, 0.047, 0.037 and 0.008ngml(-1), respectively. The precisions for seven replicate determinations at the 5ngml(-1) of As, Sb, Bi and 1ngml(-1) of Hg were 0.47, 0.60, 0.97 and 0.93% (R.S.D.), respectively. Sample digestion was carried out on 500mg sample with 3ml HNO(3) and 10ml HCl, followed by addition of thiourea solution for the quantitative reduction of As(V), Sb(V) to As(III), Sb(III). The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of As, Sb, Bi and Hg in a series of certified geological reference materials using simple aqueous standard calibration technique. The results obtained are in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic separation and determination of beryllium(II), aluminium(III) and chromium(III) with chromotrope 2C chelates on a C18-bonded stationary phase is reported. Methanol-water (45:55 v/v) containing 6 x 10(-3)M tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB) and 2 x 10(-2)M acetate buffer solution (pH 6.0) as mobile phase and with spectrophotometric detection at 530 nm was applied. The method has high sensitivity, the detection limits being 0.2 ppb for beryllium(I), 1 ppb for aluminium(III) and 2 ppb for chromium(III). Under the optimum conditions, most other metal ions did not interfere, e.g. up to 2 mg of Hg(II), Sn(II, IV), Pb(II), Bi(III), Ag(I), Zn(II), Cd(II), Cu(II), 1.5 mg of Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), 1.2 mg of Ca(II), Mg(II), Sr(II), Ba(II), 1 mg of Ga(III), In(III), 0.5 mg of Fe(III), 1 mg of Ga(III), In(III), 0.5 mg of Fe(III), 0.4 mg of Th(IV), Zr(IV). The method can be applied to the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of beryllium(II), aluminium(III) and chromium(III), in water, rice, flour and human hair samples.  相似文献

An analytical method was developed for antimony speciation and antimony(III) preconcentration in water samples. The method is based on the selective retention of Sb(III) by modified Saccharomyces cerevisiae in the presence of Sb(V). Heat, caustic and solvent pretreatments of the biomass were investigated to improve the kinetics and thermodynamics of Sb(III) uptake process at room temperature. Heating for 30 min at 80 degrees C was defined as the optimal treatment. Antimony accumulation by the cells was independent of pH (5-10) and ionic strength (0.01-0.1 mol L(-1)). 140 mg of yeast and 2h of contact were necessary to ensure quantitative sequestration of Sb(III) up to 750 microg L(-1). In these conditions, Sb(V) was not retained. Sb(V) was quantified in sorption supernatant by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) or inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). Sb(III) was determined after elution with 40 mmol L(-1) thioglycolic acid at pH 10. A preconcentration factor close to nine was achieved for Sb(III) when 100mL of sample was processed. After preconcentration, the detection limits for Sb(III) and Sb(V) were 2 and 5 ng L(-1), respectively, using ICP-MS, 7 and 0.9 microg L(-1) using ICP-OES. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of Sb(III) and Sb(V) in spiked river and mineral water samples. The relative standard deviations (n=3) were in the 2-5% range at the tenth microg L(-1) level and less than 10% at the lowest Sb(III) and Sb(V) tested concentration (0.1 microg L(-1)). Corrected recoveries were in all cases close to 100%.  相似文献

The H-point standard addition method (HPSAM) was applied to kinetic data for simultaneous determination of Fe(III) and Fe(II) or selective determination of Fe(III) in the presence of Fe(II). The method is based on the difference in the rate of two processes; reduction of Fe(III) with Co(II) and subsequent complex formation of resulted Fe(II) with 1,10-phenanthroline, and direct complex formation between Fe(II) and 1,10-phenanthroline in pH 3 and cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, CTAB, micellar media. Fe(III) can be determined in the range of 0.75-5.13 mug ml(-1)with satisfactory accuracy and precision in the presence of excess Fe(II) under working conditions. The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of Fe(III) and Fe(II) and also to the selective determination of Fe(III) in the presence of Fe(II) in several synthetic mixtures containing different concentration ratios of Fe(III) to Fe(II).  相似文献

A new method of hollow fiber supported liquid membrane extraction (HF-SLME) coupled with thermospray flame furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (TS-FF-AAS) for the speciation of Sb(III) and Sb(V) in environmental and biological samples has been developed. The method is based on the complex of Sb(III) with sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC). The formed hydrophobic complex is subsequently extracted into the lumen of hollow fiber, whereas Sb(V) is remained in aqueous solutions. The extraction organic phase was injected into TS-FF-AAS for the determination of Sb(III). Total Sb concentration was determined after reduction of Sb(V) to Sb(III) in the presence of l-cysteine and the extraction procedure mentioned above. Sb(V) was calculated by subtracting of Sb(III) from the total Sb. DDTC was used as complexing reagent. 1-Octanol was immobilized in the pores of the polypropylene hollow fiber as liquid membrane and also used as the acceptor solution. Some parameters that influenced extraction and determination were evaluated in detail, such as concentration of sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC), type of organic solvent, pH of samples, stirring rates, extraction time, as well as interferences. Under optimized conditions, a detection limit of 0.8 ng mL−1 and an enrichment factor of 160 were achieved. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was 6.2% for Sb(III) (50 ng mL−1, n = 5). The proposed method was successfully applied to the speciation of Sb(III) and Sb(V) in environmental and biological samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

The paper presents a procedure for the multi-element inorganic speciation of As(III, V), Se(IV, VI) and Sb(III, V) in natural water with GF-AAS using solid phase extraction technology. Total As(III, V), Se(IV, VI) and Sb(III, V) were determined according to the following procedure: titanium dioxide (TiO2) was used to adsorb inorganic species of As, Se and Sb in sample solution; after filtration, the solid phase was prepared to be slurry for determination. For As(III), Se(IV) and Sb(III), their inorganic species were coprecipitated with Pb-PDC, dissolved in dilute nitric acid, and then determined. The concentrations of As(V), Se(VI) and Sb(V) can be calculated by the difference of the concentrations obtained by the above determinations. For the determination of As(III), Se(IV) and Sb(III), palladium was chosen as a modifier and pyrolysis temperature was 800 °C. Optimum conditions for the coprecipitation were listed for 100 ml of sample solution: pH 3.0, 15 min of stirring time, 40.0 μg l−1 Pb(NO3)2 and 150.0 μg l−1 APDC. The proposed method was applied to the determination of trace amounts of As(III, V), Se(IV, VI) and Sb(III, V) in river water and seawater.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of a library of acyclic antimony(III) and bismuth(III) triaryl pnictogen bonding (PnB) receptor systems are reported. In the first-generation receptor series, quantitative 1H NMR chloride titration experiments in THF solvent media reveal halide anion binding potency is intimately correlated with both the electronic-withdrawing nature of the aryl- substituent and the polarisability of the PnB donor. Further extensive anion binding investigations with the most potent Sb- and Bi-based PnB receptors: 1⋅Sb2CF3 and 1⋅Bi2CF3 , reveal novel selectivity profiles, both displaying Cl selectivity relative to the heavier halides and, impressively, to a range of highly basic oxoanions. The synthesis and preliminary chloride anion binding studies of a series of novel tripodal tris-proto-triazole triaryl Sb(III) and Bi(III) mixed PnB-HB receptor systems are also described. Whereas parent triphenyl Sb(III) and Bi(III) compounds are incapable of binding Cl in THF solvent media, the PnB-triazole HB host systems exhibit notable halide affinity.  相似文献

The results are given of a study using a rotating disk electrode to develop an amperometric method for the determination of Sb(III) in acidic media, based on the catalytic increase of the limiting anodic current for Br(-). Analytical application was successful provided the bulk concentration of antimony(III) was less than that of bromide. The enhancement technique was also applied to the determination of Sb(III) injected into a stream of electrolyte passing through a platinum coulometric detector.  相似文献

The H-point standard addition method was applied to kinetic data for simultaneous determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) or selective determination of Fe(II) in the presence of Fe(III). The method is based on the difference in the rate of complex formation between iron in two different oxidation states and methylthymol blue (MTB) at pH 3.5 in mixed cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and Triton X-100 micellar medium. Fe(II) can be determined in the range 0.25-2.5 microg ml(-1) with satisfactory accuracy and precision in the presence of excess Fe(III) and other metal ions that rapidly form complexes with MTB under working condition. The proposed method was successfully applied to the simultaneous determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) or selective determination of Fe(II) in the presence of Fe(III) in spiked real environmental and synthetic samples with complex composition.  相似文献

Selective sorption of the Sb(III) chelate with ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC) on a microcolumn packed with C16-bonded silica gel phase was used for the determination of Sb(III) and of total inorganic antimony after reducing Sb(V) to Sb(III) by l-cysteine. A flow injection system composed of a microcolumn connected to the tip of the autosampler was used for preconcentration. The sorbed antimony was directly eluted with ethanol into the graphite furnace and determined by AAS. The detection limit for antimony was significantly lowered to 0.007 μg l−1 in comparison to 1.7 μg l−1 for direct injection GFAAS. This procedure was applied for speciation determinations of inorganic antimony in tap water, snow and urine samples. For the investigation of long-term stability of antimony species a flow injection hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry with quartz tube atomization (FI HG QT AAS) and GFAAS were used for selective determination of Sb(III) in the presence of Sb(V) and total content of antimony, respectively. Investigations on the stability of antimony in several natural samples spiked with Sb(III) and Sb(V) indicated instability of Sb(III) in tap water and satisfactory stability of inorganic Sb species in the presence of urine matrix.  相似文献

The H-point standard addition method (HPSAM) for simultaneous determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) is described. The method is based on the difference in the rate of complex formation of iron in two different oxidation states with Gallic acid (GA) at pH 5. Fe(II) and Fe(III) can be determined in the range of 0.02–4.50 μg ml−1 and 0.05–5.00 μg ml−1, respectively, with satisfactory accuracy and precision in the presence of other metal ions, which rapidly form complexes with GA under working conditions. The proposed method was successfully applied for simultaneous determination of Fe(II) and Fe(III) in several environmental and synthetic samples with different concentration ratios of Fe(II) and Fe(III).  相似文献
