Conversion coefficients for the E1 and M1 transitions in the 44Ti decay have been measured with high accuracy using the sum peak and multidimensional coincidence methods. The following values have been obtained: αK(E1) = 0.077 ± 0.003 and αK(M1) = 0.014 ± 0.001. A significant contribution of the penetration effects for the M1 transition has been shown. The penetration parameter λ is determined to be ?260 ± 30 has been determined. 相似文献

We have extracted the B(E1) strength for the transition 1/2+ → 1/2− occurring in 11Be from the recent Coulomb excitation measurements using the nonrelativistic and intermediate-energy Coulomb-excitation (IECE)
theory and have found that the results of IECE theory are in good agreement with the adopted value of B(E1). When the survival probability of the projectile is taken into account the agreement between the calculated and the adopted
value of B(E1) strength improves further. We have also studied the effect of diffuseness parameter of survival probability on the B(E1) strength.

The well-known energy problem is discussed in f (R) theory of gravity. We use the generalized Landau–Lifshitz energy–momentum complex in the framework of metric f (R) gravity to evaluate the energy density of plane symmetric solutions for some general f (R) models. In particular, this quantity is found for some popular choices of f (R) models. The constant scalar curvature condition and the stability condition for these models are also discussed. Further,
we investigate the energy distribution of cosmic string spacetime. 相似文献

Let G n ? Diff+(S 1) be the stabilizer of n given points of S 1. How much information do we lose if we restrict a positive energy representation \(U^c_h\) associated to an admissible pair (c, h) of the central charge and lowest energy, to the subgroup G n ? The question, and a part of the answer originate in chiral conformal QFT. The value of c can be easily “recovered” from such a restriction; the hard question concerns the value of h. If c ≤ 1, then there is no loss of information, and accordingly, all of these restrictions are irreducible. In this work it is shown that \(U^c_{h}|_{G_n}\) is always irreducible for n = 1 and, if h = 0, it is irreducible at least up to n ≤ 3. Moreover, an example is given for c > 2 and certain values of \(h \neq \tilde{h}\) such that \(U^c_{h}|_{G_1}\simeq U^c_{\tilde{h}}|_{G_1}\) . It is also concluded that for these values \(U^c_{h}|_{G_n}\) cannot be irreducible for n ≥ 2. For further values of c, h and n, the question is left open. Nevertheless, the example already shows that, on the circle, there are conformal QFT models in which local and global intertwiners are not equivalent. 相似文献

In this study quasiparticle random-phase approximation with the translational invariant Hamiltonian using deformed mean field
potential has been conducted to describe electric dipole excitations in 136Xe, 138Ba, 140Ce, 142Nd, 144Sm and 146Gd isotones. The distribution of the calculated E1 strength shows a resonance like structure at energies between 6–8 MeV exhausting up to 1% of the isovector electric dipole
Energy Weighted Sum Rule and in some aspects nicely confirms the experimental data. It has been shown that the main part of
E1 strength, observed below the threshold in these nuclei may be interpreted as main fragments of the Pygmy Dipole resonance.
The agreement between calculated mean excitation energies as well as summed B(E1) value of the 1− excitations and the available experimental data is quite good. The calculations indicate the presence of a few prominent
positive parity 1+ States in heavy N = 82 isotones in the energy interval 6–8 MeV which shows not all dipole excitations were of electric character in this energy
range. 相似文献

We present an implementation of the calculation of the production of W
+
W
+ plus two jets at hadron colliders, at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD, in the POWHEG framework, which is a method that allows the interfacing of NLO calculations to shower Monte Carlo programs. This is the
first 2→4 process to be described to NLO accuracy within a shower Monte Carlo framework. The implementation was built within
the POWHEG BOX package. We discuss a few technical improvements that were needed in the POWHEG BOX to deal with the computer intensive nature of the NLO calculation, and argue that further improvements are possible, so that
the method can match the complexity that is reached today in NLO calculations. We have interfaced our POWHEG implementation with PYTHIA and HERWIG, and present some phenomenological results, discussing similarities and differences between the pure NLO and the POWHEG+PYTHIA calculation both for inclusive and more exclusive distributions. We have made the relevant code available at the POWHEG BOX web site. 相似文献

The nuclear system at the limit of excitation energy and angular momentum is here studied in the case of the superdeformed nucleus 143Eu using
-spectroscopy techniques. The data are based on a EUROBALL experiment using the reaction 37Cl + 110Pd
Eu + 4n. The influence of thermal energy on superdeformed configurations is investigated through the analysis of the quasi-continuum spectra formed by E2 transitions among states of excited rotational bands with energy extending up to 4-5 MeV above the yrast line. In particular, the effective lifetimes of the discrete rotational bands forming ridge structures in
-
coincidence matrices is measured by a Doppler Shift Attenuation Method. The deduced quadrupole deformation of
10 eb indicates that the nucleus maintains its collectivity with increasing excitation energy, supporting the superdeformed character of the excited nuclear rotation. The obtained number of superdeformed discrete bands forming the ridge structures is found in good agreement with microscopic cranked shell model calculations including the decay-out process into the lower deformation minimum. In addition, the nuclear properties at higher excitation energies are investigated through the E1
-decay of the giant dipole resonance (GDR). It is found that the intensity of the superdeformed yrast and excited bands increases by a factor of approximately 1.6 when a coincidence with a high-energy
-ray is required, showing the importance of the E1 cooling in the feeding mechanism of the superdeformed states.Received: 2 December 2002, Published online: 2 March 2004PACS:

We obtain exact results in α′ for open and closed A-model topological string amplitudes on a large class of toric Calabi-Yau threefolds by using their correspondence with five
dimensional gauge theories. The toric Calabi-Yaus that we analyze are obtained as minimal resolution of cones over Y

manifolds and give rise via M-theory compactification to SU(p) gauge theories on . As an application we present a detailed study of the local case and compute open and closed genus zero Gromov-Witten invariants of the orbifold. We also display the modular structure of the topological wave function and give predictions for higher genus amplitudes.
The mirror curve in this case is the spectral curve of the relativistic A

The Kd reactions are considered in the impulse approximationwithNN final-state interactions (FSI) taken into account. Realistic parameters for the KN phase shifts are used. The “quasi-elastic” energy region, in which the elementary KN interaction is predominantly elastic, is considered. The theoretical predictions are compared with the data on the K

We use the tunneling formalism to calculate the Hawking radiation of massive particles. For E ≥ m, we recover the traditional result, identical to the massless case. But E < m particles can also tunnel across the horizon in a Hawking process. We study the probability for detecting such E < m particles as a function of the distance from the horizon and the energy of the particle in the tunneling formalism. We derive
a general formula and obtain simple approximations in the near-horizon limit and in the limit of large radii. 相似文献

The photonless annihilation cross sections for 113m,115m In at a boundary positron energy of 3.9 MeV have been measured for the first time: σef(115m In)=(5.0 ± 0.4) × 10?27 cm2 and σef(113m In) = (3.4 ± 0.6) × 10?27 cm2. The cross sections obtained differ by four to five orders of magnitude from the calculated values. A new mechanism of consideration of the positrons involved in photonless annihilation is proposed. 相似文献

The relativistic consistent angular-momentum projected shell model(ReCAPS) is used in the study of the structure and electromagnetic transitions of the low-lying states in the N=Z nucleus 52Fe.The model calculations show a reasonably good agreement with the data. The backbending at 12+ is reproduced and the energy level structure suggests that neutron-proton interactions play important roles. 相似文献

The (t, p) reaction on the 9Be nucleus is analyzed using the mechanisms of dineutron stripping and 8Li heavy cluster stripping. It is shown that in the shell model, the wave function of the 11Be(1/2+) nucleus formed by adding two neutrons to the 9Be nucleus is constructed from a 10Be(0+) core and a 2s-neutron. This concept of the 11Be(1/2+) structure allows us to calculate the reduced width of tritium and a dineutron with a relative orbital angular momentum equal to 1. The differential cross section of the (t, p) reaction is calculated with allowance for the contribution from both mechanisms. The agreement between the theoretical and experimental cross sections of dineutron stripping at narrow angles θp confirms the shell model can be used to describe the states of nuclei with complex structure and mixed configurations of different shells. 相似文献
