An equilibrium model of a two-phase gas-liquid medium, with allowance for the proportion, density, and compressibility of the components, and with a difference from [1] in that the adiabatic velocity of sound is introduced, has been used in order to study the regular and Mach (elementary theory) reflection of a shock wave of moderate intensity from a solid wall throughout the whole range of gas proportions. A complicated nonmonotonic variation has been found for the pressure on the wall behind the reflected wave, the angle of reflection, and the angle of departure of the triple point as functions of the gas proportion, the angle of incidence, and the intensity of the incident wave. In particular, it is shown that oblique reflection for moderate and low gas contents leads to the formation of a stronger reflected shock wave than does normal reflection. The effect of the gas proportion on the position of the boundary between the regions of regular and Mach reflection has already been studied in [2]. The results are described of serial calculations of the parameters of reflection for an air-water mixture, and these results agree fairly well for normal reflection with the known experimental data [3] for low and moderate gas contents. Investigation of the stability of plane shock waves as regards nonuniform perturbations was first performed by D'yakov [1]. He obtained criteria for stability, and showed that perturbations grow exponentially with time in the case of instability. Iordanskii [2] has shown that in the case of stability, the perturbations are attenuated according to a power law. However, the stability criteria of [2] do not agree with the results of [1], Kontorovich [3] has explained the cause of the apparent discrepancies, and asserts the correctness of the criteria of [2]. A power law for the attenuation of perturbations has also been obtained in [4,5] under a somewhat different formulation of the boundary conditions.The Cauchy problem with perturbations is examined in §1 of this paper, results are obtained for cases of practical interest, and the asymptotic behavior is investigated.In §2 the effect of a low viscosity on the development of perturbations is examined. It is shown that when t the amplitude of perturbations is attenuated mainly as exp(-t), where >0 does not depend on the form of the boundary conditions at the shock wave front. The results of §2 were used in processing the experimental data of [6], which made it possible to determine the viscosity of a number of substances at high pressure.In conclusion, the author expresses his gratitude to A. A classification of the possible types of shock-wave structures formed as a result of the interference between overtaking shocks in a homogeneous flow is developed on the basis of a previous study [1]. A series of analytic and numerical interaction type criteria is obtained, which makes it possible to justify and supplement the analysis, carried out in [2], of the regions of the governing flow parameters in which steady-state solutions for shock-wave structures of different types exist. This paper is concerned with the dynamic response of a class of thermoviscoelastic solids. In particular a specific one-dimensional model, consistent with the laws of continuum thermodynamics, is proposed and applied to the problem of the propagation of steady shock waves. The governing equations are written in terms of material response functions which can be determined from shock wave, thermophysical, and bulk response data. The results of the analysis are compared with experimental steady wave studies involving the solid polymer, polymethyl methacrylate.  相似文献

The results of a numerical study of a new type of singularities in the Mach shock-wave structure realized in supersonic nonsymmetric conical flows over V-wings with a bow shock attached to the leading edges are presented. Within the framework of the ideal gas model we study the changes in the shock system on transition, with increase in the sweep angle, from the region of nonsymmetric Mach interaction of the shocks attached to the leading edges of the wing to the region of special flow patterns, where on the windward cantilever surface a rarefaction flow is realized rather than a flow with an internal shock. It is shown, in particular, that in the region with special wing flow patterns a Mach system of shocks with a submerged shock proceeding from the branch point above the windward cantilever may exist.  相似文献

Summary An exact solution in closed form, in terms of elliptic functions, is obtained for the one-dimensional steady flow of a polytropic gas with finite constant electrical conductivity which is influenced by an oblique magnetic field and a transverse electric field in the absence of viscosity, thermal conductivity and all other non-electrical dissipative mechanisms. The solution is presented in terms of elementary functions and the many possible flow patterns are discussed in detail in the case when, at some position, the transverse momentum equals the transverse Maxwell stress; a case which is appropriate to the structure of switch-on and switch-off shock waves.The research reported in this paper was supported in part by the United States Air Force under Grant No. AF-EOAR-65-58 and monitored by the European Office, Office of Aerospace Research.  相似文献

In this paper, RR→MR transition of asymmetric shock waves has been theoretically studied. The transition can occur between the sonic-point and maximum-deflection criteria due to the the effects of expansion fans which are inherent flow structures. Comparison shows a better agreement among experiments and the analytical results. Some discrepancies reported in previous studies among experiments and theory have also been explained based on the threshold for RR→MR transition.   相似文献

Gasdynamic channel flows under force and energy actions are considered. An approximate method is proposed for solving the gasdynamic equations that describe these flows. Themethod includes the separation of an “active” flow volume in which the integral electric force and applied power, whose densities are assumed to be uniform, are concentrated and the numerical integration of the system of hydrodynamic equations over the entire channel (in laminar and turbulent variants) with the piecewise constant force and energy sources obtained. The results of experimental investigation are presented for the flow that arises after two accessories mounted on the opposite walls of the vertical rectangular channel of constant cross-section, which create a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD actuators). This flow is numerically simulated using the method developed. On the basis of the method proposed the flow characteristics are determined for a model subsonic diffuser on whose lower wall, immediately in front of the separation zone, the DBD actuator is mounted. The efficiency of this accessory in reducing the gasdynamic losses is demonstrated.  相似文献

Using the method of matched asymptotic expansions, solutions of boundary-value problems of shock deformation of nonlinear elastic weakly inhomogeneous semispaces are obtained. It is shown that nonlinearity of the model and various properties of the inhomogeneity lead to new evolution equations in the frontal areas of longitudinal and transverse shock waves, the transition to which is due to transformations of all independent coordinates of the problem.  相似文献
