C-H oxidation has a long history and an ongoing presence in research at the forefront of chemistry and interrelated fields. As such, numerous highly useful articles and reviews have been written on this subject. Logically, these are generally written from the perspective of the scope and limitations of the reagents employed. This Minireview instead attempts to emphasize chemoselectivity imposed by the nature of the substrate. Consequently, many landmark discoveries in the field of C-H oxidation are not discussed, but hopefully the perspective taken herein will allow C-H oxidation reactions to be more readily incorporated into synthetic planning.  相似文献

Various aromatic, aliphatic and conjugated aldehydes were transformed to the corresponding carboxylic acids with 70% t‐BuOOH solution (water) in the presence of catalytic amounts (10 mol%) of Mohr's salt. This method possesses functional group compatibility, does not involve cumbersome work‐up, exhibits chemoselectivity since other functional groups remain intact and proceeds under mild conditions. Quantum chemistry calculations were carried out, using ONIOM2 methodology, to investigate the CO adsorption and oxidation on gold supported on Silicoaluminophospates (SAPO) molecular sieves Au/SAPO‐11 catalysts. Two models were studied, one containing one Au atom per site (Au? SAPO‐11), and the other with two Au atoms per site (Au2? SAPO‐11). The results reveal that the CO adsorption and oxidation are exothermic on Au/SAPO11 with an ΔE of ?41.0 kcal/mol and ΔE = ?52.0 kcal/mol, for the adsorption and oxidation, respectively. On the Au2? SAPO‐11 model, the CO adsorption and oxidation reaction occur, with a ΔE of ?29.7 kcal/mol and ?52 kcal/mol, respectively. According to our results, the oxidation reaction exhibits an Eley‐Rideal type mechanism with adsorbed CO. The theoretical calculations reveal that this type of material could be interesting to disperse Au and consequently to strengthen its catalytic use for different reactions. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A ligand that offers two parallel malonate binding sites linked by a xanthene backbone, namely, Xanthmal2-, has been utilised to synthesise dinuclear FeII complex [Fe2(Xanthmal)2] (1). The reactivity of 1 in contact with O2 was investigated at -40 degrees C and room temperature. After activation of O2 through interaction with both iron centres the ligand is oxidised: at the Calpha position monooxygenation and peroxide formation occur, partially accompanied by C-C bond cleavage to yield alpha-keto ester groups. To reveal mechanistic details investigations concerning 1) peroxide decomposition, 2) the reactivity of a corresponding mononuclear complex, 3) the influence of monooxygenation of the ligand on the reactivity and 4) product formation in dependence on time were carried out. The results can be explained by postulating formation of high-valent Fe intermediates and ligand-to-metal electron transfer, and the mechanistic scheme derived includes several steps that mimic the (suggested) functioning of non-heme iron enzymes. In agreement with this proposal, ligand oxidation can also be performed catalytically. Furthermore, we show that via a competitive route [(Xanthmal)2Fe2O] (2) is formed, which is unreactive towards O2 and thus is a dead end with respect to ligand oxidation. Both compounds 1 and 2 were fully characterised, and their properties are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

An efficient asymmetric oxidation of sulfides was achieved using (R)-6,6'-dibromo-BINOL as chiral ligand in combination with Ti(OiPr)4 using 70% aqueous tertiary butyl hydroperoxide as oxidant. The resulting sulfoxides had high enantiopurities and good yields. A range of aryl alkyl and aryl benzyl sulfides were oxidized to the corresponding sulfoxides with 78–95% ee in 72–80% yields.  相似文献
