Within the potential cluster model where orbital states are classified according to Young diagrams and isospin, astrophysical S factors are considered for radiative proton capture by 3H and 7Li nuclei at energies of up to 1 and 10 keV, respectively. It is shown that the approach used, which takes into account only the E1 transition for the p 3H capture process, makes it possible to describe well the most recent experimental data at c.m. energies in the range from 50 keV to 5MeV. In the case of proton capture by 7Li nuclei, an M1 processwas taken into account in addition to the E1 transition, and a general behavior and the magnitude of the experimental S factor could be correctly reproduced owing to this at astrophysical energies, including the region around the resonance at 0.441 MeV (in the laboratory frame).  相似文献

We obtain exact results in α′ for open and closed A-model topological string amplitudes on a large class of toric Calabi-Yau threefolds by using their correspondence with five dimensional gauge theories. The toric Calabi-Yaus that we analyze are obtained as minimal resolution of cones over Y p,q manifolds and give rise via M-theory compactification to SU(p) gauge theories on . As an application we present a detailed study of the local case and compute open and closed genus zero Gromov-Witten invariants of the orbifold. We also display the modular structure of the topological wave function and give predictions for higher genus amplitudes. The mirror curve in this case is the spectral curve of the relativistic A 1 Toda chain. Our results also indicate the existence of a wider class of relativistic integrable systems associated to generic Y p,q geometries.  相似文献

Let G n ? Diff+(S 1) be the stabilizer of n given points of S 1. How much information do we lose if we restrict a positive energy representation \(U^c_h\) associated to an admissible pair (c, h) of the central charge and lowest energy, to the subgroup G n ? The question, and a part of the answer originate in chiral conformal QFT. The value of c can be easily “recovered” from such a restriction; the hard question concerns the value of h. If c ≤ 1, then there is no loss of information, and accordingly, all of these restrictions are irreducible. In this work it is shown that \(U^c_{h}|_{G_n}\) is always irreducible for n =  1 and, if h =  0, it is irreducible at least up to n ≤  3. Moreover, an example is given for c >  2 and certain values of \(h \neq \tilde{h}\) such that \(U^c_{h}|_{G_1}\simeq U^c_{\tilde{h}}|_{G_1}\) . It is also concluded that for these values \(U^c_{h}|_{G_n}\) cannot be irreducible for n ≥  2. For further values of c, h and n, the question is left open. Nevertheless, the example already shows that, on the circle, there are conformal QFT models in which local and global intertwiners are not equivalent.  相似文献

An overview is given on the experimental nuclear physics aspects of the astrophysical p-process that is responsible for the production of the heavy proton-rich nuclei known as p-nuclei. The nuclear physics input of the p-process scenario involves the knowledge of radiative capture cross sections, mostly calculated by the Hauser-Feshbach statistical model. Our experiments test the reliability of the model calculations in the proton-rich region as well as provide experimental information on the cross sections relevant to the p-process.  相似文献

Conversion coefficients for the E1 and M1 transitions in the 44Ti decay have been measured with high accuracy using the sum peak and multidimensional coincidence methods. The following values have been obtained: αK(E1) = 0.077 ± 0.003 and αK(M1) = 0.014 ± 0.001. A significant contribution of the penetration effects for the M1 transition has been shown. The penetration parameter λ is determined to be ?260 ± 30 has been determined.  相似文献

A standard partial-wave analysis was performed on the basis of known measurements of differential cross sections for elastic p 13C scattering at energies in the range 250–750 keV. This analysis revealed that, in the energy range being considered, it is sufficient to take into account the 3 S 1 wave alone. A potential for the triplet 3 S 1-wave state of the p 13C system in the region of the J p T = 1−1 resonance at 0.55 MeV was constructed on the basis of the phase shifts obtained from the aforementioned partial-wave analysis.  相似文献

Cross sections for e + p charged current deep inelastic scattering at a centre-of-mass energy of have been determined with an integrated luminosity of collected with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The differential cross sections , and for are presented. In addition, has been measured in the kinematic range and . The predictions of the Standard Model agree well with the measured cross sections. The mass of the W boson propagator is determined to be from a fit to . The chiral structure of the Standard Model is also investigated in terms of the (1-y)2 dependence of the double-differential cross section. In this paper, the quark distribution amplitudes of 1S and 2S heavy quarkonium states are studied in terms of Gaussian-type wave functions. The transverse momenta p integrals of the formulae for the decay constant are performed analytically. Then the quark distribution amplitudes are obtained. In addition, the ξ-moments are also calculated. After fixing the relevant parameters appearing in the quark distribution amplitude, the curves of the quark distribution amplitude for 1S and 2S heavy quarkonium states are plotted. Finally, the numerical results of this approach are compared with the other theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The hierarchical structure of fermion masses of the Standard Model is explained in split fermion models by localizing the fermions at different points in an extra dimension. We consider split fermion models with two bulk scalars compactified on an orbifold. In the static case we find analytical expression for the localizer. We also address the issue of stability of the localizer. We also find exact solutions for the fermion zero modes. We explore the parameter space of the model. We find ample opportunity for construction of phenomenologically viable theories exist.  相似文献

The production rates and substructure of jets have been studied in charged current deep inelastic e + p scattering for Q 2 > 200 GeV2 with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of 110.5 pb-1. Inclusive jet cross sections are presented for jets with transverse energies GeV and pseudorapidities in the range . Dijet cross sections are presented for events with a jet having GeV and a second jet having GeV. Measurements of the mean subjet multiplicity, , of the inclusive jet sample are presented. Predictions based on parton-shower Monte Carlo models and next-to-leading-order QCD calculations are compared to the measurements. The value of , determined from at for jets with GeV, is . The spectra of ruthenium and rhodium excited in a low-inductive vacuum spark have been obtained using a vacuum grazing-incidence spectrograph with a grating of 3600 lines/mm 3 m in radius in the range of 180–350 Å. The bidium-like spectra of Ru VIII and Rh IX were analyzed. Ten spectral lines of the 4p 64d-4p 54d 2 transitions are identified and six energy levels in the 4p 54d 2 configuration with an excited internal electron were found for each ion for the first time.  相似文献

The spectrum of the Zn-like Kr VII ion, excited in a capillary discharge and recorded with a high resolution in the wavelength range of 300–1000 Å, was studied. Previously performed identification of the transitions from the levels of the 4s4f, 4s5s, 4s5p, and 4s5d configurations is confirmed and extended, and the energies of these levels are specified. The (4p 2+4s4d)?4p4d and (4p 2+4s5s)?4p5s transitions are identified for the first time, and the energies of all the levels of the 4p4d and 4p5s configurations are determined. The results of the analysis performed are confirmed by semiempirical calculations in terms of the Hartree-Fock method. These results are also shown to conform to the experimental data obtained for lighter ions of the Zn I isoelectronic sequence.  相似文献

The critical current I c of S-(FN)-S Josephson structures has been calculated as a function of the distance L between superconducting (S) electrodes using the Usadel quasiclassical equations for the case of specifying the supercurrent in the direction parallel to the interface between the ferromagnetic (F) and normal (N) films of the composite weak-link region. It has been shown that, owing to the interaction between F and N films, both the typical decrease scale I c(L) and the period of the critical current oscillations can be much larger than the respective quantities for the SFS junctions. The conditions have been determined under which these lengths are on the order of the effective depth ζN of superconductivity penetration to a normal metal.  相似文献

Lifetimes of three levels belonging to the 4p 45p configuration of singly ionized krypton have been measured using the cascade-photon-coincidence technique. The measurements have been performed under experimental condition where pressure dependent effect as well as other systematic errors are very small. We calculate the canonical trace and use the Fedosov–Nest–Tsygan index theorem to obtain the characteristic class for a star product on S 2. We show how, for this simple example, it is possible to extract the relevant information needed to use the Fedosov–Nest–Tsygan index theorem from a local calculation.This revised version was published online in March 2005 with corrections to the cover date.  相似文献

Ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity in Eu monochalcogenides have been investigated by ab initio density functional theory in the DFT+U approach. Exchange interaction parameters and Curie temperatures under pressure are studied and discussed using Heisenberg Hamiltonian with first and second-nearest-neighbor interactions. The calculations showed that the hydrostatic pressure perfectly improves the Curie temperature (EuO: T C = 175 K; EuS: T C = 33.8 K) and in the other hand it cannot induce the spontaneous polarization (P s ). The effect of uniaxial and biaxial pressure is also studied. Although the uniaxial strains slightly increases the Curie temperature, it ensures the ferrolectricity in these systems by producing a spontaneous polarization of the order of P s (EuO) = 57.50 μC/cm2 and P s (EuS) = 42.86 μC/cm2 with pressures of 5% and 4%, respectively. The search for new model systems is a necessity to better understand the physics related to multiferroïc materials and to consider possible applications.  相似文献

We present an implementation of the calculation of the production of W + W + plus two jets at hadron colliders, at next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD, in the POWHEG framework, which is a method that allows the interfacing of NLO calculations to shower Monte Carlo programs. This is the first 2→4 process to be described to NLO accuracy within a shower Monte Carlo framework. The implementation was built within the POWHEG BOX package. We discuss a few technical improvements that were needed in the POWHEG BOX to deal with the computer intensive nature of the NLO calculation, and argue that further improvements are possible, so that the method can match the complexity that is reached today in NLO calculations. We have interfaced our POWHEG implementation with PYTHIA and HERWIG, and present some phenomenological results, discussing similarities and differences between the pure NLO and the POWHEG+PYTHIA calculation both for inclusive and more exclusive distributions. We have made the relevant code available at the POWHEG BOX web site.  相似文献

Proton-neutron correlations in 4Hep interactions are studied in an exclusive experiment by using a 2-m bubble chamber exposed to a 5-GeV/c beam of α particles (the kinetic energy of the protons in the nucleus rest frame is T p = 620 MeV). Data on the production of pn pairs in 4π geometry for three channels, where it is possible to reconstruct the neutron momentum unambiguously, are used to determine the pn correlation function in 4Hep interactions. The experimental results are compared with the predictions of a modified Lednicky-Lyuboshitz model. The value obtained for the root-mean-square radius of the pn-emission region is R pn = 2.1 ± 0.3 fm. The dependence of the correlation function on the modulus of the total momentum of the emitted nucleon pair and on the direction of the momentum transfer is studied. An indication that the emission of a pn pair proceeds predominantly through the production of a virtual deuteron is obtained.  相似文献
