In this paper, we define an analog of the L p -L q Morgan’s uncertainty principle for any exponential solvable Lie group G (p, q ∈ [1,+∞]). When G is nilpotent and has a noncompact center, the proof of such an analog is given for p, q ∈ [2,+∞], extending the earlier settings ([2], [4] and [5]). Such a result is only known for some particular restrictive cases so far. We also prove the result for general exponential Lie groups with nontrivial center.  相似文献

We describe some methods for constructing Fischer classes of finite groups by means of the operators defined by given properties of Hall π-subgroups. It is in particular proved that, for a Fischer class $\mathfrak{F}$ and a set of primes π, the class of all finite π-soluble $C_\pi \mathfrak{F}$ -groups, i.e., of all groups whose Hall π-subgroups belong to $\mathfrak{F}$ , is a Fischer class.  相似文献

Let Open image in new window be the class of radial real-valued functions of m variables with support in the unit ball \(\mathbb{B}\) of the space ? m that are continuous on the whole space ? m and have a nonnegative Fourier transform. For m ≥ 3, it is proved that a function f from the class Open image in new window can be presented as the sum \(\sum {f_k \tilde *f_k } \) of at most countably many self-convolutions of real-valued functions f k with support in the ball of radius 1/2. This result generalizes the theorem proved by Rudin under the assumptions that the function f is infinitely differentiable and the functions f k are complex-valued.  相似文献

For any integers n >m ≥ 2, we say that a complete theory T is (m, n)-homogeneous if, for each model M of T, two n-tuples [abar],[bbar] in M have the same type if the corresponding m-tuples from [abar] and [bbar] have the same type. It was conjectured by H. Kikyo that, if M is an infinite group, with possibly additional structure, then the theory of M is not (m, n)-homogeneous. We prove a general result on structures with (m, n)-homogeneous theory which implies that, if M is a counterexample to this conjecture, then there exists an integer h such that each abelian subgroup of M has at most h elements. It follows that there exist an integer k such that M k = 1, and an integer l such that each finite subgroup of M has at most l elements.  相似文献

In (Kaniuth and Kumar in Math. Proc. Camb. Phil. Soc. 131, 487–494, 2001) Hardy’s uncertainty principle for was generalized to connected and simply connected nilpotent Lie groups. In this paper, we extend it further to connected nilpotent Lie groups with non-compact centre. Concerning the converse, we show that Hardy’s theorem fails for a connected nilpotent Lie group G which admits a square integrable irreducible representation and that this condition is necessary if the simply connected covering group of G satisfies the flat orbit condition.  相似文献

We propose an alternative proof of Pellet’s theorem for matrix polynomials that, unlike existing proofs, does not rely on Rouché’s theorem. An analog of the classical Young’s inequality for convolutions of functions is proved in the case of general global Morrey-type spaces. Let X be a topological space, either locally compact or first countable, endowed with a strictly positive measure ?? and ${\mathcal{K}:L^2(X,\nu)\to L^2(X,\nu)}$ an integral operator generated by a Mercer like kernel K. In this paper we extend Mercer??s theory for K and ${\mathcal{K}}$ under the assumption that the function ${x\in X\to K(x,x)}$ belongs to some L p/2(X, ??), p??? 1. In particular, we obtain series representations for K and some powers of ${\mathcal{K}}$ , with convergence in the p-mean, and show that the range of certain powers of ${\mathcal{K}}$ contains continuous functions only. These results are used to estimate the approximation numbers of a modified version of ${\mathcal{K}}$ acting on L p (X, ??).  相似文献
