Asymptotic Speed of Wave Propagation for A Discrete Reaction-Diffusion Equation

We deal with asymptotic speed of wave propagation for a discrete reactlon-diffusion equation. We find the minimal wave speed c★ from the characteristic equation and show that c★ is just the asymptotic speed of wave propagation. The isotropic property and the existence of solution of the initial value problem for the given equation are also discussed.     

Exact traveling wave solutions and dynamical behavior for the (n+1)-dimensional multiple sine-Gordon equation

Using the methods of dynamical systems for the (n 1)-dimensional multiple sine-Gordon equation, the existences of uncountably infinite many periodic wave solutions and breaking bounded wave solutions axe obtained. For the double sine-Gordon equation, the exact explicit parametric representations of the bounded traveling solutions are given. To guarantee the existence of the above solutions, all parameter conditions are determined.     

Properties of positive solutions to a nonlinear parabolic problem

This paper deals with the properties of positive solutions to a quasilinear parabolic equation with the nonlinear absorption and the boundary flux. The necessary and sufficient conditions on the global existence of solutions are described in terms of different parameters appearing in this problem. Moreover, by a result of Chasseign and Vazquez and the comparison principle, we deduce that the blow-up occurs only on the boundary (?)Ω. In addition, for a bounded Lipschitz domainΩ, we establish the blow-up rate estimates for the positive solution to this problem with a= 0.     

Homoclinic and heteroclinic flows in global attractor for Davey-stewartson II equation

By the variable transformation and generalized Hirota method, exact homoclinic and heteroclinic solutions for Davey-Stewartson II （DSII） equation are obtained. For perturbed DSII equation, the existence of a global attractor is proved. The persistence of homoclinic and heteroclinic flows is investigated, and the special homoclinic and heteroclinic structure in attractors is shown.     

The multi-soliton solutions of the CH-γ equation

This paper solves the integrable CH-γ equation for analytical multiple soliton solutions with the Darboux transformation method. Some properties of the soliton solutions are different from the CH equation. Bifurcation method for solving multiple positive solutions to Henon equation

Three algorithms based on the bifurcation method are applied to solving the D4 symmetric positive solutions to the boundary value problem of Henon equation. Taking r in Henon equation as a bi- furcation parameter, the D4-Σd(D4-Σ1, D4-Σ2) symmetry-breaking bifurcation points on the branch of the D4 symmetric positive solutions are found via the extended systems. Finally, Σd(Σ1, Σ2) sym- metric positive solutions are computed by the branch switching method based on the Liapunov-Schmidt reduction.     

Small solutions of quadratic equations with prime variables in arithmetic progressions

A necessary and sufficient solvable condition for diagonal quadratic equation with prime variables in arithmetic progressions is given, and the best qualitative bound for small solutions of the equation is obtained,     

Convergence of Newton‘’s Method and Uniqueness of the Solution of Equations in Banach SpacesⅡ

Some results on convergence of Newton‘s method in Banach spaces are established under the assumption that the derivative of the opderators satisfies the radius or center Lipschitz condition with a weak L average.     

Nonlinear Degenerate Parabolic Equation with Nonlinear Boundary Condition

In this paper, we obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions on the global existence of all positive （weak） solutions to a nonlinear degenerate parabolic equation with nonlinear boundary condition.     

NEW EXACT TRAVELLING WAVE SOLUTIONS TO THREE NONLINEAR EVOLUTION EQUATIONS

Based on the computerized symbolic computation, some new exact travelling wave solutions to three nonlinear evolution equations are explicitly obtained by replacing the tanhξ in tanh-function method with the solutions of a new auxiliary ordinary differential equation.     

Blow Up of Solutions to Semilinear Wave Equations with Critical Exponent in High Dimensions

In this paper, the author considers the Cauchy problem for semilinear wave equations with critical exponent in n≥4 space dimensions. Under some positivity conditions on the initial data, it is proved that there can be no global solutions no matter how small the initial data are.     

Some problems on super-diffusions and one class of nonlinear differential equations

The historical superprocesses are considered on bounded regular domains with a complete branching form, as a probabilistic argument, the limit property of superprocesses is studied when the domains enlarge to the whole space. As an important application of superprocess, the representation of solutions of involved differential equations is used in term of historical superprocesses. The differential equations including the existence of nonnegative solution, the closeness of solutions and probabilistic representations to the maximal and minimal solutions are discussed, which helps develop the well-known results on nonlinear differential equations. Boundedness in Lebesgue spaces for commutators of multilinear singular integrals and RBMO functions with non-doubling measures

The boundedness in Lebesgue spaces for commutators generated by multilinear singular integrals and RBMO(μ) functions of Tolsa with non-doubling measures is obtained, provided that‖μ‖=∞and multilinear singular integrals are bounded from L1(μ)×L1(μ)to L1/2,∞(μ).     

ATTRACTOR FOR WEAKLY DAMPED DRIVEN LONG WAVE-SHORT WAVE RESONANCE EQUATION

The existence of solution and universal attractor for weakly damped driven long wave-short wave resonance equation are obtained.     

Uniqueness and stability in an inverse problem for a Poisson’s equation

Consider the Poisson's equation ψ" (x) ＝ -ev-ψ eψ-v-N(x) with the Dirichlet boundary data, and we mainly investigate the inverse problem of determining the unknown function N(x) from a parameter function family. Some uniqueness and stability results in the inverse problem are obtained.     

Gaining efficiency via weighted estimators for multivariate failure time data

Multivariate failure time data arise frequently in survival analysis. A commonly used technique is the working independence estimator for marginal hazard models. Two natural questions are how to improve the efficiency of the working independence estimator and how to identify the situations under which such an estimator has high statistical efficiency. In this paper, three weighted estimators are proposed based on three different optimal criteria in terms of the asymptotic covariance of weighted estimators. Simplified close-form solutions are found, which always outperform the working independence estimator. We also prove that the working independence estimator has high statistical efficiency, when asymptotic covariance of derivatives of partial log-likelihood functions is nearly exchangeable or diagonal. Simulations are conducted to compare the performance of the weighted estimator and working independence estimator. A data set from Busselton population health surveys is analyzed using the proposed estimators. Let ƒ be a transcendental meromorphic function, a a nonzero finite complex number, and n ⩾ 2 a positive integer. Then ƒ + a(ƒ′) ⁿ assumes every complex value infinitely often. This answers a question of Ye for n = 2. A related normality criterion is also given. Limiting profile of blow-up solutions for the Gross-Pitaevskii equation

This paper is concerned with the blow-up solutions of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Using the concentration compact principle and the variational characterization of the corresponding ground state, we obtain the limiting profile of blow-up solutions with critical mass in the corresponding weighted energy space. Moreover, we extend this result to small super-critical mass case by the variational methods and scaling technique. Global solutions of stochastic 2D Navier-Stokes equations with Lévy noise

In this paper, we prove the global existence and uniqueness of the strong and weak solutions for 2D Navier-Stokes equations on the torus perturbed by a Lévy process. The existence of invariant measure of the solutions are proved also.
