From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the exchange extraction constants corresponding to the general equilibrium $ {\text{M}}^{ + } \left( {\text{aq}} \right) \, + {\mathbf{1}}\cdot{\text{Na}}^{ + } \left( {\text{nb}} \right) \Leftrightarrow {\mathbf{1}}\cdot{\text{M}}^{ + } \left( {\text{nb}} \right) \, + {\text{Na}}^{ + } \left( {\text{aq}} \right) $ taking place in the two-phase water–nitrobenzene system $ \begin{gathered} ({\text{M}}^{ + } = {\text{ Li}}^{ + } ,{\text{ K}}^{ + } ,{\text{ Rb}}^{ + } ,{\text{ Cs}}^{ + } ,{\text{ H}}_{ 3} {\text{O}}^{ + } ,{\text{NH}}_{4}^{ + }, {\text{ Ag}}^{ + } ,{\text{ Tl}}^{ + } ;{\mathbf{1}} \\ = {\text{ nonactin}};{\text{ aq }} = {\text{ aqueous phase}},{\text{ nb }} = {\text{nitrobenzene phase}}) \\ \end{gathered} $ were determined. Moreover, the stability constants of the M+ complexes in water-saturated nitrobenzene were calculated; they were found to increase in the series of $ {\text{Cs}}^{ + } < {\text{ Rb}}^{ + } < {\text{ H}}_{ 3} {\text{O}}^{ + } ,{\text{ Ag}}^{ + } < {\text{ Tl}}^{ + } < {\text{ Li}}^{ + } < {\text{ K}}^{ + } < {\text{NH}}_{4}^{ + } $ .  相似文献

Different tetraalkylammonium, viz. N+(CH3)4, N+(C2H5)4, N+(C3H7)4, N+(C4H9)4 along with simple ammonium salts of bis (2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinic acid have been prepared by ion-exchange technique. The critical micelle concentration of surfactants with varied counterions have been determined by measuring surface tension and conductivity within the temperature range 283–313 K. Counterion ionization constant, α, and thermodynamic parameters for micellization process viz., $\Delta G_m^{\text{0}} $ , $\Delta H_m^{\text{0}} $ , and $\Delta S_m^{\text{0}} $ and also the surface parameters, Γmax and Amin, in aqueous solution have been determined. Large negative $\Delta G_m^{\text{0}} $ of micellization for all the above counterions supports the spontaneity of micellization. The value of standard free energy, $\Delta G_m^{\text{0}} $ , for different counterions followed the order $${\text{N}}^{\text{ + }} \left( {{\text{CH}}_{\text{3}} } \right)_4 >{\text{NH}}_{\text{4}}^{\text{ + }} >{\text{Na}}^{\text{ + }} >{\text{N}}^{\text{ + }} \left( {{\text{C}}_{\text{2}} {\text{H}}_5 } \right)_{\text{4}} {\text{ $>$ N}}^{\text{ + }} \left( {{\text{C}}_{\text{3}} {\text{H}}_{\text{7}} } \right)_4 >{\text{N}}^{\text{ + }} \left( {{\text{C}}_{\text{4}} {\text{H}}_{\text{9}} } \right)_4 $$ , at a given temperature. This result can be well explained in terms of bulkiness and nature of hydration of the counterion together with hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions.  相似文献

Raman spectroscopic measurements were performed on aqueous acid to neutral silica-bearing solutions (0.005 ≤ m Si ≤ 0.02, 0 ≤ pH ≤ 8) and Al–silica solutions at temperature from 20 to 150°C. At 20°C, the spectrum of silica-bearing solutions exhibits only the bands of water and a completely polarized band at 785 cm?1. This band is attributed to the ν1 band of the tetrahedral Si(OH)4 molecule. In ${\text{Si(OH)}}_{\text{4}} {\kern 1pt} {\kern 1pt} - {\kern 1pt} {\text{AlCl}}_3 {\kern 1pt} - {\kern 1pt} {\text{HCl}}$ solutions, the intensity of this band decreases with increasing Al concentration, temperature, and pH. This decrease can be explained by the formation of an inner sphere complex between Al3+ and Si(OH)4 according to the reaction: ${\text{Al}}^{{\text{3 + }}} {\text{ + H}}_{\text{4}} {\text{SiO}}_{\text{4}}^{\text{0}} ({\text{aq}}){\text{ }} \Leftrightarrow {\text{ AlH}}_{\text{3}} {\text{SiO}}_{\text{4}}^{{\text{2 + }}} {\text{ + H}}^{\text{ + }} $ The fraction of complexed silica deduced from raman spectroscopic measurements is in good agreement with that calculated for the similar solution compositions and temperatures using the complexation constant generated by Pokrovski et al. (23) from potentiometric measurements. At ambient temperature, the formation of aluminum silicate complex is weak and does not account for more than ca. 5 % of the total Al in most natural waters. As temperature increases, this complex becomes more significant and can dominate Al speciation in acid (pH ≤ 2) hydrothermal solutions.  相似文献

Partial dechelation of one tridentate N,N??,O-histidine in trans-imidazole-[Cr(His)2]+ (where N and N?? are amine and imidazole nitrogen atoms, respectively, and O is carboxylate oxygen) has been studied. The aquation process is both acid and base catalyzed and the product with didentate His is converted back into the substrate at pH 4?C7. Kinetics of the chelate ring opening were studied spectrophotometrically within the 0.01?C1.0?M HClO4 and 0.1?C1.0?M NaOH ranges under first-order conditions. The following dependences of k obs on [H+] and [OH?] were determined: $$ \left( {k_{\text{obs}} } \right)_{\text{H}} = a + b\left[ {{\text{H}}^{ + } } \right] + c/\left[ {{\text{H}}^{ + } } \right] $$ $$ \left( {k_{\text{obs}} } \right)_{\text{OH}} = a^{\prime } + b^{\prime } \left[ {{\text{OH}}^{ - } } \right]. $$ Mechanisms of the chelate ring opening in acidic and alkaline media are proposed, and activation parameters for the process in acidic solution have been determined. Additionally, kinetic studies were performed on the second dechelation stage in acidic media, which is ca. 15 times slower than the first one.  相似文献

The mechanism of reaction of the di-Ru-substituted polyoxometalate, {??-[(H2O)RuIII(??-OH)2RuIII(H2O)][X n+W10O36]}(8?n)?, I_X, with O2, i.e. I_X?+?O2????{??-[(·O)RuIV(??-OH)2RuIV(O·)][X n+W10O36]}(8?n)??+?2H2O, (1), was studied at the B3LYP density functional and self-consistent reaction field IEF-PCM (in aqueous solution) levels of theory. The effect of the nature of heteroatom X (where X?=?Si, P and, S) on the calculated energies and mechanism of the reaction (1) was elucidated. It was shown that the nature of X only slightly affects the reactivity of I_X with O2, which is a 4-electron oxidation process. The overall reaction (1): (a) proceeds with moderate energy barriers for all studied X??s [the calculated rate-determining barriers are X?=?Si (18.7?kcal/mol)?<?S (20.6?kcal/mol)?<?P (27.2?kcal/mol) in water, and X?=?S (18.7?kcal/mol)?<?P (21.4?kcal/mol)?<?Si (23.1?kcal/mol) in the gas phase] and (b) is exothermic [by X?=?Si [28.7 (22.1) kcal/mol]?>?P [21.4 (9.8) kcal/mol]?>?S [12.3 (5.0) kcal/mol]. The resulting $ \left\{ {\gamma - \left[ {\left( {^{ \cdot } {\text{O}}} \right) {\text{Ru}}^{\text{IV}} \left( {\mu - {\text{OH}}} \right)_{2} {\text{Ru}}^{\text{IV}} \left( {{\text{O}}^{ \cdot } } \right)} \right]\left[ {{\text{X}}^{{{\text{n}} + }} {\text{W}}_{10} {\text{O}}_{36} } \right]} \right\}^{{\left( {8 - {\text{n}}} \right) - }} $ , VI_X, complex was found to have two RuIV?=?O· units, rather than RuV?=?O units. The ??reverse?? reaction, i.e., water oxidation by VI_X is an endothermic process and unlikely to occur for X?=?Si and P, while it could occur for X?=?S under specific conditions. The lack of reactivity of VI_X biradical toward the water molecule leads to the formation of the stable [{Ru 4 IV O4(OH)2(H2O)4}[(??-XW10O36]2}m? dimer. This conclusion is consistent with our experimental findings; previously we prepared the $ \left[ {\left\{ {{\text{Ru}}_{4}^{\text{IV}} {\text{O}}_{4} ({\text{OH}})_{2} \left( {{\text{H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}} \right)_{4} } \right\}} \right[\left( {\gamma - {\text{XW}}_{10} {\text{O}}_{36} } \right]_{2} \}^{{{\text{m}} - }} $ dimers for X?=?Si (m?=?10) [Geletii et al. in Angew Chem Int Ed 47:3896?C3899, 2008 and J Am Chem Soc 131:17360?C17370, 2009] and P (m?=?8) [Besson et al. in Chem Comm 46:2784?C2786, 2010] and showed them to be very stable and efficient catalysts for the oxidation of water to O2.  相似文献

Bis(1-octylammonium) tetrachlorocuprate (1-C8H17NH3)2CuCl4(s) was synthesized by the method of liquid phase reaction. The crystal structure of the compound has been determined by X-ray crystallography. The lattice potential energy was obtained from the crystallographic data. Molar enthalpies of dissolution of (1-C8H17NH3)2CuCl4(s) at various molalities were measured at 298.15?K in the double-distilled water by means of an isoperibol solution-reaction calorimeter, respectively. In terms of Pitzer??s electrolyte solution theory, the molar enthalpy of dissolution of (1-C8H17NH3)2CuCl4(s) at infinite dilution was determined to be $ \Updelta_{\rm s} H_{\text{m}}^{\infty } = \, - 5. 9 7 2\,{\text{kJ}}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} , $ and the sums of Pitzer??s parameters $ (4\beta_{{{\text{C}}_{ 8} {\text{H}}_{ 1 7} {\text{NH}}_{ 3} , {\text{Cl}}}}^{ ( 0 )L} + 2\beta_{\text{Cu,Cl}}^{ ( 0 )L} + \theta_{{{\text{C}}_{ 8} {\text{H}}_{ 1 7} {\text{NH}}_{ 3} , {\text{Cu}}}}^{L} ) $ and $ (2\beta_{{{\text{C}}_{ 8} {\text{H}}_{ 1 7} {\text{NH}}_{ 3} , {\text{Cl}}}}^{ ( 1 )L} + \beta_{\text{Cu,Cl}}^{ ( 1 )L} ) $ were obtained.  相似文献

Extraction of microamounts of europium and americium by a nitrobenzene solution of hydrogen dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B?) in the presence of bis(diphenylphosphino)methane dioxide (DPPMDO, L) has been investigated. The equilibrium data have been explained assuming that the species $ {\text{HL}}^{ + } $ , $ {\text{HL}}_{2}^{ + } $ , $ {\text{ML}}_{2}^{3 + } $ , $ {\text{ML}}_{3}^{3 + } $ and $ {\text{ML}}_{4}^{3 + } $ (M3+ = Eu3+, Am3+) are extracted into the organic phase. The values of extraction and stability constants of the species in nitrobenzene saturated with water have been determined. It was found that the stability constants of the corresponding complexes $ {\text{EuL}}_{n}^{3 + } $ and $ {\text{AmL}}_{n}^{3 + } $ , where n = 2, 3 and L is DPPMDO, in water–saturated nitrobenzene are comparable, whereas in this medium the stability of the cationic species $ {\text{AmL}}_{4}^{3 + } $ (L = DPPMDO) is somewhat higher than that of $ {\text{EuL}}_{4}^{3 + } $ with the same ligand L.  相似文献

In this study, a hydrolysis model for lead, applicable to high ionic strength, is developed based on lead oxide solubilities as a function of ionic strength. Solubility measurements on lead oxide, α-PbO (tetragonal, red), mineral name litharge, as a function of ionic strength were conducted in NaClO4 solutions up to I?=?0.45 mol·kg?1, in NaCl solutions up to I?=?5.0 mol·kg?1, and in Na2SO4 solutions up to I?=?5.4 mol·kg?1, at room temperature (22.5?±?0.5 °C). The lead hydroxyl species considered in this work include the following,
$$ {\text{PbO}}\left( {\text{cr}} \right) \, + {\text{ 2H}}^{ + } \rightleftharpoons {\text{Pb}}^{ 2+ } + {\text{ H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}\left( {\text{l}} \right) $$
(1)
$$ {\text{Pb}}^{ 2+ } + {\text{ H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}\left( {\text{l}} \right) \rightleftharpoons {\text{PbOH}}^{ + } + {\text{ H}}^{ + } $$

$$ {\text{Pb}}^{ 2+ } + {\text{ 2H}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}\left( {\text{l}} \right) \rightleftharpoons {\text{Pb}}\left( {\text{OH}} \right)_{ 2} \left( {\text{aq}} \right) \, + {\text{ 2H}}^{ + } $$

The equilibrium constants for Reactions (1) and (2) were taken from literature. The equilibrium constants in base 10 logarithmic units for Reactions (3) and (4) are determined in this study as ? 17.05?±?0.10 (2σ) and ? 27.99?±?0.15 (2σ), respectively, with a set of Pitzer parameters describing the interactions with Na+, Cl?, and \( {\text{SO}}_{4}^{2 - } .\) In combination with the parameters from literature including those that have already been published by our group, the solution chemistry of lead in a number of media including NaCl, MgCl2, NaHCO3, Na2CO3, Na2SO4, NaClO4, and their mixtures, can be accurately described in a wide range of ionic strengths.

The Cu(II) centers are in a distorted tetrahedral geometry for 1 and 2 and a distorted square pyramidal N2Cl3 environment for 3.  相似文献

The equilibrium constants and thermodynamic parameters for complex formation of 18-crown-6(18C6) with Zn2+, Tl+, Hg2+ and $ {\text{UO}}^{{{\text{2 + }}}}_{{\text{2}}} $ cations have been determined by conductivity measurements in acetonitrile(AN)-dimethylformamide(DMF) binary solutions. 18-crown-6 forms 1:1 complexes [M:L] with Zn2+, Hg2+ and $ {\text{UO}}^{{{\text{2 + }}}}_{{\text{2}}} $ cations, but in the case of Tl+ cation, a 1:2 [M:L2] complex is formed in most binary solutions. The thermodynamic parameters ( $ \Delta {\text{H}}^{ \circ }_{{\text{c}}} $ and $ \Delta {\text{S}}^{ \circ }_{{\text{c}}} $ ) which were obtained from temperature dependence of the equilibrium constants show that in most cases, the complexes are enthalpy destabilized but entropy stabilized and a non-monotonic behaviour is observed for variations of standard enthalpy and entropy changes versus the composition of AN/DMF binary mixed solvents. The obtained results show that the order of selectivity of 18C6 ligand for these cations changes with the composition of the mixed solvent. A non-linear relationship was observed between the stability constants (logKf) of these complexes with the composition of AN/DMF binary solutions. The influence of the $ {\text{ClO}}^{ - }_{{\text{4}}} $ , $ {\text{NO}}^{ - }_{{\text{3}}} $ and $ {\text{Cl}}^{ - } $ anions on the stability constant of (18C6-Na+) complex in methanol (MeOH) solutions was also studied by potentiometry method. The results show that the stability of (18C6-Na+) complex in the presence of the anions increases in order: $ {\text{ClO}}^{ - }_{{\text{4}}} $  >  $ {\text{NO}}^{ - }_{{\text{3}}} $  >  $ {\text{Cl}}^{ - } $ .  相似文献

This study investigated thermodynamic properties of uranium–titanium alloy to determine its suitability for storage of hydrogen isotopes. The enthalpy increments of U2Ti were measured using a high temperature inverse drop calorimeter in the temperature range of 299–1,169 K. Temperature dependence of the molar enthalpy increment and molar heat capacity is expressed in the form $ H^\circ_{\text{m}} (T) - H^\circ_{\text{m}} (298.15\,{\text{K}})({\text{J }}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} ) = 23.236(T/{\text{K}}) + 53.292 \times 10^{ - 3} (T/{\text{K}})^{2} - 21.294 \times 10^{5} ({\text{K}}/T) - 4523 $ and $ C^\circ_{\text{p,m}} ({\text{J}}\,{\text{K}}^{ - 1} \,{\text{g}}^{ - 1} ) = 23.236 + 10.6584 \times 10^{ - 2} (T/{\text{K}}) + 21.294 \times 10^{5} ({\text{K}}/T)^{2} (300 \le T/{\text{K}} \le 900) $ , respectively. A set of self consistent thermodynamic functions such as entropy, Gibbs energy function, heat capacity, and Gibbs energy and enthalpy values for U2Ti have been computed using data obtained in this study and required data from the literature.  相似文献

The kinetics of oxidation of cis-[CrIII(gly)2(H2O)2]+ (gly = glycinate) by $ {\text{IO}}_{ 4}^{ - } $ has been studied in aqueous solutions. The reaction is first order in the chromium(III) complex concentration. The pseudo-first-order rate constant, k obs, showed a small change with increasing $ \left[ {{\text{IO}}_{ 4}^{ - } } \right] $ . The pseudo-first-order rate constant, k obs, increased with increasing pH, indicating that the hydroxo form of the chromium(III) complex is the reactive species. The reaction has been found to obey the following rate law: $ {\text{Rate}} = 2k^{\text{et}} K_{ 3} K_{ 4} \left[ {{\text{Cr}}\left( {\text{III}} \right)} \right]_{t} \left[ {{\text{IO}}_{ 4}^{ - } } \right]/\left\{ {\left[ {{\text{H}}^{ + } } \right] + K_{ 3} + K_{ 3} K_{ 4} \left[ {{\text{IO}}_{ 4}^{ - } } \right]} \right\} $ . Values of the intramolecular electron transfer constant, k et, the first deprotonation constant of cis-[CrIII(gly)2(H2O)2]+, K 3 and the equilibrium formation constant between cis-[CrIII(gly)2(H2O)(OH)] and $ {\text{IO}}_{ 4}^{ - } $ , K 4, have been determined. An inner-sphere mechanism has been proposed for the oxidation process. The thermodynamic activation parameters of the processes involved are reported.  相似文献

A study of the association between copper(II) and sulfate ions in aqueous solution has been made using copper ion-selective electrode potentiometry at constant ionic strengths (I) of 0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 3.0 and 5.0 mol·L?1 in NaClO4 media at 25 °C. Only one complex was detected, corresponding to the equilibrium: \( {\text{Cu}}^{ 2+ } ({\text{aq}}) + {\text{SO}}_{4}^{2 - } ({\text{aq}}) \rightleftarrows {\text{CuSO}}_{4}^{0} ({\text{aq}}). \) No higher order complexes were detected even at sulfate/copper(II) concentration ratios of up to 1,000. The present potentiometric values of log10 K 1(I) are shown to be consistently higher than those obtained by UV–Vis spectrophotometry because of the failure of the latter technique to detect all of the solvent-separated ion pairs present. Extrapolation of log10 K 1(I) to infinite dilution using an extended Guggenheim equation yielded a standard state value of log10 \( K_{1} \{ {\text{CuSO}}_{4}^{0} ({\text{aq}})\} = 2.32 \pm 0.09 \) , which is in excellent agreement with a recent IUPAC-recommended value.  相似文献

Extraction of microamounts of europium and americium by a nitrobenzene solution of hydrogen dicarbollylcobaltate (H+B?) in the presence of 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphino)propane dioxide (DPPPrDO, L) has been investigated. The equilibrium data have been explained assuming that the species $ {\text{HL}}^{ + } ,\,{\text{HL}}_{2}^{ + } ,\,{\text{ML}}^{3 + } \,{\text{and}}\,{\text{ML}}_{3}^{3 + } $ HL + , HL 2 + , ML 3 + and ML 3 3 + (M3+ = Eu3+, Am3+) are extracted into the organic phase. The standard Gibbs energy of formation of Pr2TeO6 $ (\Updelta_{\text{f}} G^{^\circ } \left( {{ \Pr }_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} ,\;{\text{s}}} \right)) $ was derived from its vapour pressure in the temperature range of 1,400–1,480 K. The vapour pressure of TeO2 (g) was measured by employing a thermogravimetry-based transpiration method. The temperature dependence of the vapour pressure of TeO2 over the mixture Pr2TeO6 (s) + Pr2O3 (s) generated by the incongruent vapourization reaction, Pr2TeO6 (s) = Pr2O3 (s) + TeO2 (g) + ½ O2 (g) could be represented as: $ { \log }\left\{ {{{p\left( {{\text{TeO}}_{ 2} ,\;{\text{g}}} \right)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{p\left( {{\text{TeO}}_{ 2} ,\;{\text{g}}} \right)} {{\text{Pa}} \pm 0.0 4}}} \right. \kern-0em} {{\text{Pa}} \pm 0.0 4}}} \right\} = 19. 12- 27132\; \left({\rm{{{\text{K}}}}/T} \right) $ . The $ \Updelta_{\text{f}} G^{^\circ } \;\left( {{ \Pr }_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} } \right) $ could be represented by the relation $ \left\{ {{{\Updelta_{\text{f}} G^{^\circ } \left( {{ \Pr }_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} ,\;{\text{s}}} \right)} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{\Updelta_{\text{f}} G^{^\circ } \left( {{ \Pr }_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} ,\;{\text{s}}} \right)} {\left( {{\text{kJ}}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} } \right)}}} \right. \kern-0em} {\left( {{\text{kJ}}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} } \right)}} \pm 5.0} \right\} = - 2 4 1 5. 1+ 0. 5 7 9 3\;\left(T/{\text{K}}\right) .$ Enthalpy increments of Pr2TeO6 were measured by drop calorimetry in the temperature range of 573–1,273 K and heat capacity, entropy and Gibbs energy functions were derived. The $ \Updelta_{\text{f}} H_{{298\;{\text{K}}}}^{^\circ } \;\left( {{ \Pr }_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} } \right) $ was found to be $ {{ - 2, 40 7. 8 \pm 2.0} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{ - 2, 40 7. 8 \pm 2.0} {\left( {{\text{kJ}}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} } \right)}}} \right. \kern-0em} {\left( {{\text{kJ}}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} } \right)}} $ .  相似文献

The density functional theory (DFT) calculations within the framework of generalized gradient approximation have been employed to systematically investigate the geometrical structures, stabilities, and electronic properties of Pd n Si q (n = 1–7 and q = 0, +1, ?1) clusters and compared them with the pure ${\text{Pd}}_{n + 1}^{q}$ (n = 1–7 and q = 0, +1, ?1) clusters for illustrating the effect of doping Si atom into palladium nanoclusters. The most stable configurations adopt a three-dimensional structure for both pure and Si-doped palladium clusters at n = 3–7. As a result of doping, the Pd n Si clusters adopt different geometries as compared to that of Pd n+1. A careful analysis of the binding energies per atom, fragmentation energies, second-order difference of energies, and HOMO–LUMO energy gaps as a function of cluster size shows that the clusters ${\text{Pd}}_{4}^{ + }$ , ${\text{Pd}}_{4}$ , ${\text{Pd}}_{8}^{ - }$ , ${\text{Pd}}_{5} {\text{Si}}^{0, + , - }$ , and ${\text{Pd}}_{7} {\text{Si}}^{0, + , - }$ possess relatively higher stability. There is enhancement in the stabilities of palladium frameworks due to doping with an impurity atom. In addition, the charge transfer has been analyzed to understand the effect of doped atom and compared further.  相似文献

The standard Gibbs energy of formation of chromium tellurate, Cr2TeO6 was determined from the vapour pressure measurement of TeO2(g) over the phase mixture Cr2TeO6(s) + Cr2O3(s) in the temperature range 1,183–1,293 K. A thermogravimetry (TG)-based transpiration technique was used for the vapour pressure measurement. This technique was validated by measuring the vapour pressure of CdCl2(g) over CdCl2(s). The temperature dependence of the vapour pressure of CdCl2(g) could be represented as logp (Pa) (±0.02) = 12.06 ? 8616.3/T (K) (734 ? 823 K). A ‘third-law’ analysis of the vapour pressure data yielded a mean value of 185.1 ± 0.4 kJ mol?1 for the enthalpy of sublimation of CdCl2(s). The temperature dependence of vapour pressure of TeO2(g) generated by the incongruent vapourisation reaction, $ {\text{Cr}}_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} (\rm s) \to {\text{Cr}}_{ 2} {\text{O}}_{ 3} (\rm s) + {\text{TeO}}_{ 2} (\rm g) + 1/2\,{\text{O}}_{ 2} (\rm g) $ could be represented as logp (Pa) (±0.04) = 18.57 – 21,199/T (K) (1,183 – 1,293 K). The temperature dependence of the Gibbs energy of formation of Cr2TeO6 could be expressed as $ \{ \Updelta G_{\text{f}}^{ \circ } ({\text{Cr}}_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} ,{\text{ s}}){\text{ (kJ}}\,{\text{mol}}^{ - 1} )\pm 4. 0 {\text{\} = }} - 1 6 2 5. 6 { \,+\, 0} . 5 3 3 6\,T({\text{K}}) \, (1{,}183 - 1{,}293\,{\text{K}}). $ A drop calorimeter was used for measuring the enthalpy increments of Cr2TeO6 in the temperature range 373–973 K. Thermodynamic functions viz., heat capacity, entropy and Gibbs energy functions of Cr2TeO6 were derived from the experimentally measured enthalpy increment values. $ \Updelta H_{{{\text{f}},298\,{\text{K}}}}^{ \circ } ({\text{Cr}}_{ 2} {\text{TeO}}_{ 6} ) $ was found to be ?1636.9 ± 0.8 kJ mol?1.  相似文献

The kinetics of oxidation of [FeII(phen)2(H2O)2]2+ (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) by periodate were investigated in aqueous acidic medium at different [H+] over a temperature range of 20–40 °C. The reaction was studied under pseudo-first-order conditions by taking [IO 4 ? ] > tenfold over [FeII(phen)2(H2O) 2 2+ ]. The reaction rate increases with increasing [H+], and the kinetics of oxidation obeyed the following rate law:
$$ {\text{Rate}} = \left[ {{\text{Fe}}^{\text{II}} ({\text{phen}})_2({\text{H}}_{2} {\text{O}})_{2}^{2 + } } \right]\left[ {{\text{IO}}_{4}^{ - } } \right]\left\{ {k_{4} K_{2} + k_{5} K_{1} K_{3} [{\text{H}}^{ + } ]} \right\} $$
The surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate was found to enhance the rate, whereas cetyltrimethylammonium bromide had little effect. Activation parameters associated with k 2 and k 3 were calculated. An electron transfer from Fe(II) to I(VII) is identified as the rate-determining step. The I(VI) species thus generated reacts in a fast step with another Fe(II) complex.

The stability constants of 1:1 (M:L) complexes of benzo-15-crown-5 (B15C5) with Li+, Na+, K+ and NH4 + cations, the Gibbs standard free energies ( $ \Updelta {\text{G}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } $ ), the standard enthalpy changes ( $ \Updelta {\text{H}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } $ ) and standard entropy changes ( $ \Updelta {\text{S}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } $ ) for formation of these complexes in acetonitrile–methanol (AN–MeOH) binary mixtures have been determined conductometrically. The conductance data show that the stoichiometry of the complexes formed between the macrocyclic ligand and the studied cations is 1:1 (M:L). In most cases, addition of B15C5 to solutions of these cations, causes a continuous increase in the molar conductivities which indicates that the mobility of complexed cations is more than the uncomplexed ones. The stability constants of the complexes were obtained from fitting of molar conductivity curves using a computer program, GENPLOT. The results show that the selectivity order of B15C5 for the metal cations changes with the nature and composition of the binary mixed solvent. The values of standard enthalpy changes ( $ \Updelta {\text{H}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } $ ) for complexation reactions were obtained from the slope of the van’t Hoff plots and the changes in standard entropy ( $ \Updelta {\text{S}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } $ ) were calculated from the relationship $ \Updelta {\text{G}}_{{{\text{c}},298.15}}^{ \circ } = \Updelta {\text{H}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } - 298.15\Updelta {\text{S}}_{\text{c}}^{ \circ } $ . A non-linear behavior was observed between the stability constants (log Kf) of the complexes and the composition of the acetonitrile–methanol (AN–MeOH) binary solution. The results obtained in this study, show that in most cases, the complexes formed between B15C5 and Li+, Na+, K+ and NH4 + cations are both enthalpy and entropy stabilized and the values of these thermodynamic quantities change with the composition of the binary solution.  相似文献
