In this article, we derive some equivalences of generalized mixed non-linear programs, generalized mixed least-element problems, generalized mixed complementarity problems and generalized mixed variational inequality problems under certain regularity and growth conditions. We also generalize the notion of a Z-type map for point-to-set maps. Our results improve and extend recent results in the literature.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive a fourth order approximation for the generalized fractional derivative that is characterized by a scale function z(t) and a weight function w(t) . Combining the new approximation with compact finite difference method, we develop a numerical scheme for a generalized fractional diffusion problem. The stability and convergence of the numerical scheme are proved by the energy method, and it is shown that the temporal and spatial convergence orders are both 4. Several numerical experiments are provided to illustrate the efficiency of our scheme.  相似文献

Some existence results for generalized variational inequalities and generalized complementarity problems involving quasimonotone and pseudomonotone set-valued mappings in reflexive Banach spaces are proved. In particular, some known results for nonlinear variational inequalities and complementarity problems in finite-dimensional and infinite-dimensional Hilbert spaces are generalized to quasimonotone and pseudomonotone set-valued mappings and reflexive Banach spaces. Application to a class of generalized nonlinear complementarity problems studied as mathematical models for mechanical problems is given.The research of the first author was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of P. Cottle and Dantzig (Ref. 1) showed that the generalized linear complementarity problem has a solution for anyqR m ifM is a vertical blockP-matrix of type (m 1,...,m n ). They also extended known characterizations of squareP-matrices to vertical blockP-matrices.Here we show, using a technique similar to Murty's (Ref. 2), that there exists a unique solution for anyqR m if and only ifM is a vertical blockP-matrix of type (m 1,...,m n ). To obtain this characterization, we employ a generalization of Tucker's theorem (Ref. 3) and a generalization of a theorem initially introduced by Gale and Nikaido (Ref. 4).  相似文献

研究运输成本信息为一般模糊数的模糊运输问题.首先,在保持一般模糊数的核不变的条件下,建立一般模糊数与一般梯形模糊数的距离最小优化模型,通过求解模型得到一般模糊数的一般梯形模糊逼近算子,并给出该逼近算子具有的性质如数乘不变性、平移不变性、连续性等.然后利用该逼近算子将一般模糊运输信息表转换成一般梯形模糊运输信息表,再根据已有GFLCM和GFMDM算法得到模糊运输问题的近似最优解,最后给出具体算例分析说明方法的有效性和合理性.  相似文献

This paper presents a new fractional-order hyperchaotic system. The chaotic behaviors of this system in phase portraits are analyzed by the fractional calculus theory and computer simulations. Numerical results have revealed that hyperchaos does exist in the new fractional-order four-dimensional system with order less than 4 and the lowest order to have hyperchaos in this system is 3.664. The existence of two positive Lyapunov exponents further verifies our results. Furthermore, a novel modified generalized projective synchronization (MGPS) for the fractional-order chaotic systems is proposed based on the stability theory of the fractional-order system, where the states of the drive and response systems are asymptotically synchronized up to a desired scaling matrix. The unpredictability of the scaling factors in projective synchronization can additionally enhance the security of communication. Thus MGPS of the new fractional-order hyperchaotic system is applied to secure communication. Computer simulations are done to verify the proposed methods and the numerical results show that the obtained theoretic results are feasible and efficient.  相似文献

We calibrate and contrast the recent generalized multinomial logit model and the widely used latent class logit model approaches for studying heterogeneity in consumer purchases. We estimate the parameters of the models on panel data of household ketchup purchases, and find that the generalized multinomial logit model outperforms the best‐fitting latent class logit model in terms of the Bayesian information criterion. We compare the posterior estimates of coefficients for individual customers based on the two different models and discuss how the differences could affect marketing strategies (such as pricing), which could be affected by applying each of the models. We also describe extensions to the scale heterogeneity model that includes the effects of state dependence and purchase history. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The generalized totally geodesic Radon transform associates the mean values over spherical tori to a function f defined on ??3??, where the elements of ??3 are considered as quaternions representing rotations. It is introduced into the analysis of crystallographic preferred orientation and identified with the probability density function corresponding to the angle distribution function W. Eventually, this communication suggests a new approach to recover an approximation of f from data sampling W. At the same time it provides additional clarification of a recently suggested method applying reproducing kernels and radial basis functions by instructive insight into its involved geometry. The strategic decision concerning the optimal and dynamic acquisition of new technology is examined. The model focuses on a profit maximizing firm that optimally derives its price, level of output, and its level and composition of productive capacity over time. The acquisition of new technology and reduction of existing capacity may occur simultaneously, so that the composition of the firm's productive resources may be upgraded over time. It is assumed that the acquisition of new technology causes a reduction in production costs and a direct increase in the firm's demand. The demand experienced by the firm may be directly increased as a result of acquiring new technology due to benefits such as expanded product-mix or volume capabilities, improved quality of output, or improved customer service (shorter production lead time). In addition, it is shown that demand is indirectly increased due to the reduced production costs that enable the firm to charge a lower price. Therefore, the strategic impact of acquiring new technology is captured, since its effect on future demand and the firm's ability to meet the demand are considered. The importance of capturing the increased demand potential offered by the new technology is demonstrated through the analysis of numerical examples. In addition, the effect on the optimal solution caused by a variety of environmental conditions is examined. For example, the impact of technological innovation is observed by defining (i) the cost of acquiring technology as a decreasing function of time, and (ii) the effectiveness of new technology on reducing operating costs as an increasing function of time.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study some new results on the existence and convergence of the solutions to controlled systems of generalized multiobjective games, controlled systems of traffic networks, and optimal control problems (OCPs). First, we introduce the controlled systems of generalized multiobjective games and establish the existence of the solutions for these systems using Browder-type fixed point theorem in the noncompact case and the C i $C_i$ -quasi-concavity. Results on the convergence of controlled systems of the solutions for such problems using the auxiliary solution sets and the extended C i $C_i$ -convexity of the objective functions are studied. Second, we investigate OCPs governed by generalized multiobjective games. The existence and convergence of the solutions to these problems are also obtained. Finally, as a real-world application, we consider the special case of controlled systems of traffic networks. Many examples are given for the illustration of our results.  相似文献

A new generalized linear exponential distribution (NCLED) is considered in this paper which can be deemed as a new and more flexible extension of linear exponential distribution. Some statistical properties for the NGLED such as the hazard rate function, moments, quantiles are given. The maximum likelihood estimations (MLE) of unknown parameters are also discussed. A simulation study and two real data analyzes are carried out to illustrate that the new distribution is more flexible and effective than other popular distributions in modeling lifetime data.  相似文献

To solve nonlinear complementarity problems, the inexact logarithmic-quadratic proximal (LQP) method solves a system of nonlinear equations (LQP system) approximately at each iteration. Therefore, the efficiencies of inexact-type LQP methods depend greatly on the involved inexact criteria used to solve the LQP systems. This paper relaxes inexact criteria of existing inexact-type LQP methods and thus makes it easier to solve the LQP system approximately. Based on the approximate solutions of the LQP systems, a descent method, and a prediction–correction method are presented. Convergence of the new methods are proved under mild assumptions. Numerical experiments for solving traffic equilibrium problems demonstrate that the new methods are more efficient than some existing methods and thus verify that the new inexact criterion is attractive in practice.  相似文献

The present paper deals with Tricomi and Frankl problems for generalized Chaplygin equations in multiply connected domains. We first give the representation of solutions of the Tricomi problem for the equations, and then prove the uniqueness and existence of solutions for the problem by a new method, i.e. the complex functions in the elliptic domain and the hyperbolic complex functions in hyperbolic domain are used. Finally we discuss the Frankl problem for generalized Chaplygin equations in multiply connected domains.  相似文献
