In this study, a modified copper ferrite/NiMgAl layered double hydroxide (CuFe2O4/NiMgAl-LDH) composite was developed for the adsorptive removal of oxytetracycline hydrochloride (OTC) antibiotic from aqueous solution. Material characterization by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transforms infrared spectrum (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) confirms that the resultant material composes of a hexagonal layered doubled hydroxide structure with surficial deposits on CuFe2O4 cubes. The adsorption of OTC onto the prepared materials were studied as a function of solution pH, initial OTC concentration, reaction time and temperature. The OTC adsorption capacities of the prepared materials were as follows: CuFe2O4/NiMgAl-LDH composite > NiMgAl-LDH > CuFe2O4. The adsorption of OTC in the presence of salts like CuSO4, NaHCO3, NaCl were also studied and the results revealed that CuSO4 has a positive effect on OTC adsorption while NaHCO3 and NaCl showed the neutral and antagonistic effect. The results revealed that hydrogen bonding, anionic exchange, and electrostatic forces were mainly involved in the adsorption of OTC onto CuFe2O4/NiMgAl-LDH composite. OTC adsorption followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model while the adsorption equilibrium data were well fitted to the Langmuir isotherm model with the maximum adsorption capacity of 192 mg/g at 323K. Furthermore, the thermodynamic study revealed that the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic.  相似文献

Nanocomposites of the type 30 % CuFe2O4/70 % SiO2 were synthesized using the modified sol–gel method starting from tetraethylorthosilicate, metal nitrates (Fe(NO3)3·9H2O, Cu(NO3)2·3H2O) and the diol: 1,3-propane diol. The obtained hybrid gel, which contains within the pores, the metal nitrates and diol, was thermally treated at 140 °C, when the redox reaction between metal nitrates and 1,3-propane diol takes place forming Cu(II)–Fe(III) carboxylate compounds of malonate type. The thermal decomposition of the carboxylates within the gels pores, at ~300 °C, leads to simple or mixed metal oxides, uniformly distributed within the amorphous silica matrix. The spinel system CuFe2O4/SiO2 was obtained starting with 700 °C. The evolution of the spinel phase with the annealing temperature was investigated and resulted that at 1,000 °C, the matrix crystallizes into cristobalite and quartz. The formation of bulk CuFe2O4, starting from the same type of Cu(II)–Fe(III) carboxylate compounds was also investigated. A comparison between the thermal evolution of bulk CuFe2O4 and CuFe2O4/SiO2 starting from Cu(II)–Fe(III) carboxylate compounds was made. The magnetic behavior of the ferrite nanocrystallites depending on the annealing temperature was also investigated.  相似文献

A new CoW11Mn/PANI/TiO2 ternary composite was synthesized with K8[Co(H2O)MnW11O39] (CoW11Mn) and PANI/TiO2 by electrostatic self-assembly. These catalysts were characterized using infrared (IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, and N2 adsorption–desorption. CoW11Mn/PANI/TiO2 was used to photodegradate the example contaminant, gentian violet (GV). Under the optimum photodegradation conditions, 92.63% degradation was achieved, indicating that the introduction of polyoxometalate and polyaniline greatly enhanced the photocatalytic performance of the catalyst. Moreover, CoW11Mn/PANI/TiO2 exhibits stable performance with little loss in activity after three successive runs. Thus, CoW11Mn/PANI/TiO2 ternary composite could be a promising photocatalyst in photodegradation of organic pollutants.  相似文献

A novel sensing material, MnFe2O4/polyaniline (PANI), was fabricated by doping PANI to MnFe2O4 on a modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). This sensing material was characterized using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR‐TEM). Using a cyclic voltammetry electrochemical‐sensing method, we tested MnFe2O4/PANI, and an acetaminophen concentration of 0.0625–5 mM was recorded. Furthermore, the sensor responses were 2.05–22.44. The detection limit was 2.23 × 10?7 M. Strong selectivity was observed for MnFe2O4/PANI, which is a possible sensing mechanism.  相似文献

In this study, Fe3O4-ZrO2 functionalized with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (Fe3O4-ZrO2@APS) nanocomposite was investigated as a nanoadsorbent for the removal of Cd(II), Cu(II), Mn (II) and Ni(II) ions from aqueous solution and real samples in batch mode systems. The prepared magnetic nanomaterials were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersion x-ray (SEM/EDX) Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Factors (such as adsorbent dose and sample pH) affecting the adsorption behavior of the removal process were studied using the response surface methodology. Under optimized condition, equilibrium data obtained were fitted into the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms and the data fitted well with Langmuir isotherms. Langmuir adsorption capacities (mg/g) were found to be 113, 111, 128, and 123 mg/g for Cd, Cu, Ni and Mn, respectively. In addition, the adsorption kinetics was analyzed using five kinetic models, pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order, intraparticle diffusion and Boyd models. The adsorbent was successfully applied for removal of Cd(II), Cu(II), Mn (II) and Ni(II) ions in wastewater samples.  相似文献

Thiol-functionalized Fe3O4/SiO2 microspheres (Fe3O4/SiO2-SH) with high saturation magnetization (69.3 emu g–1), superparamagnetism, and good dispersibility have been prepared by an ethylene glycol reduction method in combination with a modified Stöber method. The as-prepared composite magnetic spheres are characterized with fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), zeta potential, X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and superconducting quantum interference magnetometer, and tested in separation of Au(III) ions from aqueous solutions. The data for Au(III) adsorption on Fe3O4/SiO2-SH are analyzed with the Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, and Dubinin–Radushkevich isotherm models, and the pseudo-first-order, pseudo-second-order, and intraparticle diffusion kinetics models. The adsorption behaviors of Au(III) on Fe3O4/SiO2-SH follow the Langmuir isotherm model, and the adsorption process conforms to the pseudo-second-order kinetic model. The maximum adsorption capacity of Au(III) on Fe3O4/SiO2-SH is 43.7 mg g–1. Acetate anions play an important role yet Cu(II) ions have little interference in the adsorption of Au(III) on the adsorbent. A satisfactory recovery percentage of 89.5% is acquired by using an eluent with 1 M thiourea and 5% HCl, although thiols have a high affinity to Au(III) ions based on the hard-soft acid-base (HSAB) theory by Pearson.  相似文献

In recent years, polyaniline/CoFe2O4 nanocomposites have gained attention because of their wide utilization in optoelectronics and biomedical studies. However, very limited research has been carried out on the anticandidal activity of polyaniline/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite against Candida spp. Thus, the study was designed to investigate the anticandidal potential of PANI/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite against Candida albicans 077. PANI/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite (denoted as “cfPNCs”) was synthesized by polymerization of aniline in the presence of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles. The structural and thermal properties of the synthesized PANI/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite were investigated. It was noteworthy that PANI/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite showed promising anticandidal activity in a dose-dependent manner. Results also showed that the protection of histidine (a ROS quencher) against ROS clearly suggested the implication of ROS in anticandidal activity of PANI/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite. It is encouraging to conclude that PANI/CoFe2O4 nanocomposite bears the potential of their applications in biomedicine, especially nanotherapy for diseases caused by C. albicans.  相似文献

The focus of this study was to synthesize the inherently conductive polymer polyaniline using an optimized process to prepare polyaniline/silicon dioxide (PANI/SiO2) composites by in situ polymerization and ex situ solution mixing. PANI and PANI/SiO2 composite films were prepared by drop‐by‐drop and spin coating methods. The electrical conductivities of HCl doped PANI film and PANI/SiO2 composite films were measured according to the standard four‐point‐probe technique. The composite films exhibited an increase in electrical conductivity over neat PANI. PANI and PANI/SiO2 composites were also investigated by spectroscopic methods including UV‐Vis, FT‐IR, and Photoluminescence. UV‐Vis and FT‐IR studies showed that SiO2 particles affect the quinoid units along the polymer backbone and indicate strong interactions between the SiO2 particles and the quinoidal sites of PANI (doping effect). The photoluminescence properties of PANI and PANI/SiO2 composites were studied and the PANI/SiO2 composites showed increased intensity as compared to neat PANI. The increase of conductivity of PANI/SiO2 composite may be partially due to the doping or impurity effect of SiO2 where the silicon dioxides compete with chloride ions. The morphology of particles and films were examined by a scanning electron microscope (SEM). SEM measurements indicated that the SiO2 were well dispersed and isolated in composite films. A new method that utilizes p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde-modified nanometer SiO2 (SiO2-p-DMABD) as a solid phase extractant has been developed for simultaneous preconcentration of trace Cr(III), Cu(II), Fe(III) and Pb(II) prior to the measurement by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The preconcentration conditions of analytes were investigated, including the pH value, the shaking time, the mass of sorbent, the sample flow rate and volume, the elution condition and the interfering ions. The adsorption capacity of nanometer SiO2-p-DMABD was found to be (mg g− 1) Cr(III): 6.2, Cu(II): 18.6, Fe(III): 4.7 and Pb(II): 6.0 at pH 4. The adsorbed metals were quantitatively eluted with 4 mL of 1.0 mol L− 1 HCl. According to the definition of IUPAC, the detection limits (3σ) of this method for Cr(III), Cu(II), Fe(III) and Pb(II) were 0.79, 1.27, 0.40 and 1.79 ng mL− 1, respectively. The proposed method achieved satisfied results when it was applied to the determination of trace Cr(III), Cu(II), Fe(III) and Pb(II) in biological and water samples.  相似文献

A nitrate? citrate gel was prepared from metallic nitrates and citric acid by sol? gel process and was further used to synthesize Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanocrystalline powder by auto‐combustion. Then, two novel 15 and 35% (w/w) magnetic Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 containing polyaniline nanocomposites, named as PANI‐Ni15 and PANI‐Ni35, respectively, were prepared via in‐situ polymerization of aniline in an aqueous solution containing proper amount of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 magnetic powder. The incorporation of the nanopowders to PANI matrix was confirmed by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), IR and SEM. Synthesized PANI‐NiZn ferrite composite particles were subsequently added to an epoxy resin matrix to produce related nanocomposites. The morphological properties of these nanocomposite materials were investigated by SEM and TEM. The electromagnetic‐absorbing properties were studied by measuring the reflection loss in the frequency range of 8.0 to 12.0 GHz. Results showed the reflection loss of the PANI‐Ni35 composite is higher than pure polyaniline and PANI‐Ni15. The good reflection loss of the nanocomposites suggests their potential applicability as radar absorber.  相似文献

This study reports a new approach of preparation of carbon dots coated on aluminum oxide nanofibers (CDs/Al2O3NFs) nanocomposite and reusing the spent adsorbent of lead (Pb2+) ions loaded adsorbent (Pb2+-CDs/Al2O3NFs) nanocomposite for latent fingerprint detection (LFP) after removing Pb2+ ions from aqueous solution. CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite was prepared by using CDs and Al2O3NFs with adsorption processes. The prepared nanocomposite was then characterized by using UV–visible spectroscopy (UV–visible), Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Fluorescence, X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Zeta potential, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The average size of the CDs was 51.18 nm. The synthesized CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite has proven to be a good adsorbent for Pb2+ ions removal from water with optimum pH 6, dosage 0. 2 g/L. The results were best described by the Freundlich Isotherm model. The adsorption capacity of CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite showed the best removal of Pb2+ ions with qm = (177. 83 mg/g), when compared to the previous reports. This adsorption followed the pseudo-second order kinetic model. ΔG and ΔH values indicated spontaneity and the endothermic nature of the adsorption process. CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite therefore showed potential as an effective adsorbent. The data were observed from adsorption–desorption after 6 cycles which showed good adsorption stability and re- usability of CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite. Furthermore, the spent adsorbent of Pb2+-CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite has proven to be sensitive and selective for LFP detection on various porous substrates. Hence Pb2+-CDs/Al2O3NFs nanocomposite can be reused as a good fingerprint labelling agent in LFP detection so as to avoid secondary environmental pollution by disposal of the spent adsorbent.  相似文献

Fe2O3/SiO2 nanocomposites based on fumed silica A-300 (SBET = 337 m2/g) with iron oxide deposits at different content were synthesized using Fe(III) acetylacetonate (Fe(acac)3) dissolved in isopropyl alcohol or carbon tetrachloride for impregnation of the nanosilica powder at different amounts of Fe(acac)3 then oxidized in air at 400–900 °C. Samples with Fe(acac)3 adsorbed onto nanosilica and samples with Fe2O3/SiO2 including 6–17 wt% of Fe2O3 were investigated using XRD, XPS, TG/DTA, TPD MS, FTIR, AFM, nitrogen adsorption, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and quantum chemistry methods. The structural characteristics and phase composition of Fe2O3 deposits depend on reaction conditions, solvent type, content of grafted iron oxide, and post-reaction treatments. The iron oxide deposits on A-300 (impregnated by the Fe(acac)3 solution in isopropanol) treated at 500–600 °C include several phases characterized by different nanoparticle size distributions; however, in the case of impregnation of A-300 by the Fe(acac)3 solution in carbon tetrachloride only α-Fe2O3 phase is formed in addition to amorphous Fe2O3. The Fe2O3/SiO2 materials remain loose (similar to the A-300 matrix) at the bulk density of 0.12–0.15 g/cm3 and SBET = 265–310 m2/g.  相似文献

In this study, the superparamagnetic attapulgite/Fe3O4/polyaniline (ATP/Fe3O4/PANI) nanocomposites were successfully synthesized by a one-pot method. Fe (III) was applied as both the oxidant for the oxidative polymerization of aniline and the single iron source of Fe3O4 formed by the redox reaction between aniline and Fe (III). The ATP/Fe3O4/PANI was used as sorbent for magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction (MDSPE) of benzoylurea insecticides (BUs) in environmental water samples. The as-prepared nanocomposite sorbents were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), X Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and vibrating sample magnetometry. Various experimental parameters affecting the ATP/Fe3O4/PANI-based MDSPE procedure, including the composition of the nanocomposite sorbents, amount of ATP/Fe3O4/PANI nanocomposites, vortex time, pH, and desorption conditions were investigated. Under the optimal conditions, a good linearity was observed for all target analytes, with correlation coefficients (r2) ranging from 0.9985 to 0.9997; the limits of detection (LOD) were in the range of 0.02–0.43 μg L−1, and the recoveries of analytes using the proposed method ranged between 77.37% and 103.69%. The sorbents exhibited an excellent reproducibility in the range of 1.52–5.27% in extracting the five target analytes. In addition, the intra-day and inter-day precision values were found to be in the range of 0.78–6.86% and 1.66–8.41%, respectively. Finally, the proposed ATP/Fe3O4/PANI-based MDSPE method was successfully applied to analyze river water samples by rapid preconcentration of BUs.  相似文献

We reported sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK, 61% degree of sulfonation)–metal oxides (MO2:SiO2, TiO2 and ZrO2)–polyaniline composite membranes. Metal oxides were incorporated into the swelled SPEEK membrane by sol–gel method and cured by thermal treatment. SPEEK–metal oxide membranes surfaces were modified with polyaniline (PANI) by a redox polymerization process. It was observed that water retention capacity of membrane was increased and methanol permeability was reduced due to synergetic effect of metal oxides and surface modification with polyaniline. These composite membranes showed extremely low methanol permeability (1.9–1.3 × 10−7 cm2 s−1), which was lower than till reported values either for SPEEK–metal oxide or SPEEK/PANI membranes. Relatively high selectivity parameter (SP) values at 343 K of these membranes, especially S–SiO2–PANI and S–TiO2–PANI, indicated their great advantages over Nafion117 (N117) membrane for targeting on moderate temperature applications due to the synergetic effect of MO2 and PANI in SPEEK matrix. S–TiO2–PANI and N117 showed comparable cell performance in direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC).  相似文献

Sm-doped strontium ferrite nanopowders (SrSm0.3Fe11.7O19) and their composites of polyaniline (PANI)/SrSm0.3Fe11.7O19 with 10 wt% and 20 wt% ferrite were prepared by a sol–gel method and an in-situ polymerization process, respectively. The structure, magnetic properties and microwave absorption properties of the samples were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), transmission electron microscope (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and vector network analyzer, respectively. The particle size of SrSm0.3Fe11.7O19 was about 35 nm by using XRD. The ferrite successfully packed by PANI. PANI/SrSm0.3Fe11.7O19 possessed the best absorption property with the optimum matching thickness of 3 mm in the frequency of 2–18 GHz. The value of the maximum reflection loss (RL) were −26.0 dB at 14.2 GHz with the 6.5 GHz bandwidth and −24.0 dB at 13.8 GHz with the 7.9 GHz bandwidth for the samples with 10 wt% and 20 wt% ferrite, respectively.  相似文献

Morin was successful as a chemical modifier to improve the reactivity of the nanometer SiO2 surface in terms of selective binding and extraction of heavy metal ions. This new functionalized nanometer SiO2 (nanometer SiO2-morin) was used as an effective sorbent for the solid-phase extraction (SPE) of Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II), Zn(II) in solutions prior to its determination by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). Experimental conditions for effective adsorption of trace levels of metal ions were optimized with respect to different experimental parameters using static and dynamic procedures in detail. The pH 4.0 was chosen as the optimum pH value for the separation of metal ions on the newly sorbent. Complete elution of the adsorbed metal ions from the nanometer SiO2-morin was carried out using 2.0 mL of 0.5 mol L−1 of HCl. Common coexisting ions did not interfere with the separation and determination at pH 4.0. The maximum static adsorption capacity of the sorbent at optimum conditions was found to be 22.36, 36.8, 40.37, 33.21 and 25.99 mg metal/g SiO2-morin for Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II), respectively. The time for 95% sorption for Cu(II) and Ni(II) and 70% sorption for Cd(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) was less than 2 min. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of the method under optimum conditions was lower than 5.0% (n = 11). The procedure was validated by analyzing the certified reference river sediment material (GBW 08301, China), the results obtained were in good agreement with standard values. The nanometer SiO2-morin was successfully employed in the separation and preconcentration of trace Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) from the biological and natural water samples yielding 75-folds concentration factor.  相似文献

Silica gel and nanometer SiO2 modified with 4-(2-aminoethylamino)-N-(2-(2-aminoethyl amino)ethyl)butanamide (SG-AAEB and nanometer SiO2-AAEB), which were prepared based on chemical immobilization, were used as sorbents for the solid phase extraction of Cu(II), Fe(III), and Pb(II) prior to their determination by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. Adsorption efficiencies of the two sorbents towards metal ions were investigated by batch and column procedures. For both sorbents the preconcentration conditions of analytes including effects of pH, shaking time, sample flow rate and adsorption capacity, were investigated and compared. The differences of silica gel and nanometer SiO2 in sizes and surface structures resulted in distinct chemical activity and selectivity toward metals. At pH 4, the adsorption capacity of SG-AAEB was found to be 12.2, 14.5 and 9.8 mg g?1 for Cu(II), Fe(III), and Pb(II), respectively. In comparison, nanometer SiO2-AAEB showed a high selectivity toward Pb(II) and has a much larger adsorption capacity (22.3 mg g?1). Furthermore, the application of SG-AAEB and nanometer SiO2-AAEB for simultaneous preconcentration of trace Cu(II), Fe(III), and Pb(II) from natural samples was performed with satisfactory results.  相似文献

In this study, silica/polystyrene/polyaniline (SiO2/PS/PANI) conductive composite particles were synthesized by four sequential reactions. The nanosized SiO2 particles were synthesized from tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) by a sol–gel process with water as the solvent medium, followed by a surface modification with triethoxyvinylsilane; then the surface modified SiO2 particles were used as seeds to synthesize SiO2/PS composite particles with soapless seeded emulsion polymerization. Finally, the SiO2/PS particles were used as seeds to synthesize the SiO2/PS/PANI conductive composite particles. The sol–gel process of SiO2, the effect of surface modification, and several other factors that influenced polymerization of styrene in the soapless seeded emulsion polymerization will be discussed. Either potassium persulfate (KPS) or 2,2′‐azobis(isobutyramidine) dihydrochloride (AIBA) was used as the initiator to synthesize the uniform SiO2/PS particles successfully, and the cross‐section morphology of the SiO2/PS particles was found to be of a core–shell structure, with SiO2 as the core, and PS as the shell. The SiO2/PS particles were well dispersed in many organic solvents. In the following step to synthesize SiO2/PS/PANI conductive composite particles, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) played an important role, specifically, to absorb aniline onto the surfaces of the SiO2/PS particles to carry out the polymerization of aniline over the entire surface of the particles. The conductivity of the SiO2/PS/PANI composite particles approached that of semiconductive materials. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 43: 342–354, 2005  相似文献

The Fe, Zn, and Mn‐modified SiO2‐Al2O3 catalysts for the glycerol vapor‐phase cyclocondensation with ethanediamine (ED) to 2‐pyrazinemethanol (2‐PMol) and 2‐methylpyrazine (2‐MP) in a fixed‐bed system were prepared by coprecipitation and characterized by N2 adsorption–desorption, X‐ray powder diffraction, and NH3 temperature‐programmed desorption (NH3‐TPD) in the present work. The results showed that the Mn‐modified SiO2‐Al2O3 catalyst with a SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio 15.84 and 6% Mn gave the highest catalytic activity for formation of 2‐PMol (53.1%) and 2‐MP (42.9%). Mn species could cause the modulation of the acidic species of catalysts, improving the glycerol cyclocondensation with ED to 2‐PMol, and also acted as the catalytic centers for the hydrodehydration of 2‐PMol to 2‐MP. However, too many strong acidic sites could lead to ED self‐cyclocondensation to form a by‐product pyrazine. The optimum temperature was tested to be 380°C for the cyclocondensation over a 6%Mn‐SiO2‐Al2O3 catalyst. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
