An accurate and simple method has been developed for the determination of Pt, Ru, Ir and other elements employing instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Nondestructive analysis has been carried out for the determination of these elements in different rock samples such as Dolerite, Dyke Dolerite, Country Basalt, Hyaloclastite, Trachyte, Ijolite, Spillite, Diorite and Lamprophyre from various locations like Daman, Tapti, Murud, Talasari, Ranala and Bassein in Maharashtra state. High flux provided by the CIRUS reactor (1×1013 n cm–2s–1) has been used for thermal neutron bombardment followed by radioassaying of the (n,) products on a HPGe detector coupled to a PC-based MCA unit.  相似文献

The novel compounds of the MIIIU2O7.5 type (with MIII being yttrium or lanthanides from terbium to lutetium) have been prepared via hydrothermal synthesis from hydrated uranium(VI) oxide and aqueous solutions of M(III) nitrates at 200°C. Composition and structure of the products have been studied by means of elemental analysis, high-temperature X-ray diffraction, and IR spectroscopy; the products thermal stability has been estimated.  相似文献

1, 3, 4-Thiadiazol-2, 5-Dithiol als Komplexierungsreagenz. II. Komplexe des NiII, RhI, PdII, PtII, AuIII und CuII Complexes of NiII, RhI, PdII, PtII, AuIII, and CuII with 1, 3, 4-thiadiazole-2, 5- dithiol have been prepared. Probable structures have been proposed for the complexes on the basis of chemical analysis, magnetic susceptibility and spectral data. Crystal field parameters have been calculated which are in keeping with the structures proposed.  相似文献

The infrared (3200-30 cm−1) and Raman (3200-10 cm−1) spectra of gaseous and solid methylisocyanate, CH3NCO, have been recorded. Additionally, the Raman spectrum of the liquid has been obtained and qualitative depolarization ratios have been measured. The CNC bend has been observed in the far infrared and low frequency Raman spectra of the gas at approximately 172 cm−1. An additional far infrared band at ≈50 cm−1 has tentatively been assigned as the methyl torsional mode, although it could be due to the Δν = 1, Δl = ± 1 transitions of the CNC bending mode. A complete assignment of the vibrational fundamentals is proposed. The structural parameters, force constants, and vibrational frequencies have been determined from ab initio Hartree—Fock gradient calculations using the 6-31G* basis set. Additionally, structural parameters have been obtained with the 6-311 + + G** basis set with electron correlation at the MP2 level which are compared to those obtained from the microwave data and electron diffraction study. These results are compared with the corresponding quantities obtained for similar molecules.  相似文献

 A simple and quick method of durable samples preparation by the thin layer method through direct digesting of the analysed material on the substrate has been presented. Four- and three-component mono- and polycrystals have been analysed. Standards have been used in calibration containing: Cr, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ga, Se, Sb, Yb. To improve the correlation between the concentration and the fluorescent radiation models of mathematical corrections have additionally been used: multiple linear regression, Lucas-Tooth-Pyne model (L. T. P.) and de Jongh model (d. J.). Statistical parameters: detection limits for 0.5 mg samples: Cr–0.041%, Co–0.034%, Ni–0.042%, Cu–0.053%, Zn–0.054%, Ga–0.057%, Se–0.057%, Sb–0.113%, Yb–0.077%. Correlation coefficients: simple regression 0.9946–0.9997, multiple regression 0.9974–1.0000, L. T. P. 0.9993–1.0000, d. J. 0.9995–1.0000. Received August, 1, 1998. Revision March 25, 1999.  相似文献

The transition metal complex of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Ti(III), Cr(III), Fe(III), Zr(IV), and UO2(VI) ion with a Schiff’s base ligand derived from 2-hydroxy-[2-oxo-1,2-dihydro-3H-indol-3-ylidene]-benzohydrazide have been prepared. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis data, IR and electronic absorption spectra, magnetic moments, and thermogravimetric analysis data. The complexes of the 1: 1 metal-to-ligand stoichiometry have been formed. The physico-chemical data have suggested the octahedral geometry for all the complexes except for Cu(II); the Cu(II) complex has been square planar. Thermal analysis data of the ligand and its complexes have been analyzed, and the kinetic parameters have been determined using the Horowitz–Metzger method. According to the solid-state electrical conductivity measurements, the ligand and its complexes are semiconducting in nature. The antimicrobial activity of the ligand and the complexes towards E. coli, S. typhi, P. aeruginosa, and S. aureus has been tested by the disc diffusion method.  相似文献

The Raman spectra (3200–100 cm−1) of epifluorohydrin, OCH2CH(CH2F), in variable solvents, as well as that of the gas have been recorded and several of the bands due to the two less stable conformers have been identified. The variable solvent studies were inconclusive on the relative conformer stabilities. The conformational energy differences and optimized geometries for all three conformers have been obtained from ab initio calculations with the 3–21G, 4–31G and 6–31G* basis sets. A normal coordinate analysis has also been performed for each conformer with a force field determined from the 3–21G basis set. Assignment of the vibrational fundamentals observed in the Raman spectra of the fluid phases is proposed based on the normal coordinate calculations. In the liquid phase, one of the conformers with a large dipole moment predominates and it appears to be the gauche-I form which is the only one found in the solid. Utilizing the three rotational constants previously reported for each conformer, along with restricted relative distances for several of the structural parameters among the conformers from ab initio calculations, r0 structural parameters for the heavy atoms have been determined.  相似文献

Viscosities, η, of the systems, m-xylene, +1-propanol, +2-propanol, +1-butanol and +t-butanol have been measured for the whole range of composition at 303.15, 308.15, 313.15, 318.15 and 323.15?K. The variation of viscosities has been plotted against mole fraction of alkanols. Viscosities have been found to increase slowly up to a considerable concentration of alkanols, followed by a rapid rise of viscosities at higher concentrations. The slow rise of viscosity is attributed to dissociation of alkanols in m-xylene, while the rapid rise of viscosity is ascribed to self-association of alkanols. Excess viscosities, ηE, have been plotted as a function of mole fraction of alkanols. The curves show negative values for the whole range of composition, with minima occurring in alkanol-rich region.?η?and ηE have been fitted to appropriate polynomial equations. The study shows the effect of branching and chain length of alkanols on?η?and ηE.  相似文献

The solid-phase reactions between the components have been used to study the equilibrium phase composition of the systems M2O(M2CO3)-CdO-V2O5 (M = K, Rb, or Cs) in the range of the subsolidus temperatures. New potassium cadmium vanadates KCd3V3O11, K2Cd5(VO4)4, and K2Cd4V4O15 have been synthesized. A monoclinic solid solution has been identified on the basis of the KCd4(VO4)3 structure. Double orthovanadate RbCdVO4 has been prepared for the first time. Equilibrium phase diagrams have been constructed using both previously known compounds, and those synthesized by us. The effect of the size factor (the M+ ion radius) on the phase formation and phase equilibria in the systems in question has been traced.  相似文献

The infrared spectra (3500–40 cm−1) of gaseous and solid and the Raman spectra (3500–30 cm−1) of liquid and solid 1-chlorosilacyclobutane, c-C3H6SiClH, have been obtained. Both the axial and equatorial conformers with respect to the chlorine atom have been identified in the fluid phases. Variable temperature (−105 to −150°C) studies of the infrared spectra of the sample dissolved in liquid krypton have been carried out. From these data, the enthalpy difference has been determined to be 211±17 cm−1 (2.53±0.21 kJ/mol), with the equatorial conformer being the more stable form and the only conformer remaining in the annealed solid. At ambient temperatures, approximately 26% of the axial conformers are present in the vapor phase. A complete vibrational assignment is proposed for the equatorial conformer, and many of the fundamentals of the axial conformers have also been identified. The vibrational assignments are supported by normal coordinate calculations utilizing ab initio force constants. Complete equilibrium geometries, conformational stabilities, harmonic force fields, infrared intensities, Raman activities, and depolarization ratios have been determined for both rotamers by ab initio calculations employing the 6-31G(d) basis set at the levels of restricted Hartree–Fock (RHF) and/or Moller–Plesset (MP) to second order. Structural parameters have also been obtained using MP2/6-311+G(d,p) ab initio calculations. The r0 parameters for both conformers are obtained from a combination of the ab initio predicted values and the twelve previously reported microwave rotational constants. The results are discussed and compared to those obtained for some similar molecules.  相似文献

(S,R)-Noscapine, a phthalideisoquinoline alkaloid has been used as precursor for the synthesis of chiral ionic liquids (CILs). Noscapine based CILs have been synthesized from reaction between (S,R)-noscapine and methyl iodide in acetonitrile at room temperature. The synthesized CILs have been characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, EI-MS, and polarimetry techniques. These CILs have been used as organocatalysts in the enantioselective reduction of prochiral ketones to produce optically active secondary alcohols. The optically active secondary alcohols have been obtained with excellent yields and low to moderate enantiomeric excess (ee); also the complete enantiomeric excess (100% ee) has been achieved in some cases.  相似文献

Two monosaccharides have been found by paper chromatography in an aqueous extract of the herbage of red clover (Trifolium pratense). One of them has been identified as glucose. After hydrolysis of a dry water-soluble extract by paper chromatography in the presence of markers, galactose, arabinose, xylose, and mannose were detected. By paper chromatography in the presence of markers the amino acids phenylalanine, leucine (isoleucine), methionine, aspartic acid, proline, alanine, and histidine have been identified. Phytin with decomp. p 276°C has been isolated and identified, giving, after hydrolysis, inositol with mp 225–226°C, and Ca2+, Mg2+, and PO 4 3? have been detected. The amount of ash in the herbage of clover is 8.4% and the amount insoluble in HC1 1.5%. The amounts of macroelements were determined by the flame photometry of a solution of the ash (mg?%): K+ 1620; Na+ 310; Ca2+ 1240; Mg2+ 1090.  相似文献

A titrimetric method using EDTA for the determination of potassium, rubidium, cesium, thallium and ammonium has been developed. These cations are precipitated as M2Ag[Co(NO2)6] and the blue cobalt thiocyanate complex in acetone-water mixed system is titrated with EDTA. The volumes, heat capacities, and enthalpies of solution of adamantane in cycloxane,n-hexane, and carbon tetrachloride have been measured as a function of concentration at 25°C (15, 25, and 35°C for the volumes). The results extrapolated to infinite dilution have been resolved into cavity formation and interaction terms. The former have been calculated from the equations of the scaled-particle theory. To estimate the contribution from the latter, we have assumed some proportionality between adamantane-solvent and cyclohexane-solvent interactions. This assumption has been verified with the three different solvents for the three studied thermodynamic functions. The diameter of adamantane in solution has been determined to be 6.36 Å.  相似文献

Summary Proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) Spectra have been obtained for the blood serum of several old-age subjects by using the Van de Graaff accelerator of Catania University. The concentration levels of Cl, K, Ca, Br, Fe, Cu, Zn have been determined simultaneously within 2 min by using 5 l of blood serum. Good agreement with literature data has been found.

Zusammenfassung Mit Hilfe des Van de Graaff-Beschleunigers der Univ. Catania wurden PIXE-Spektren vom Blutserum mehrerer alter Personen aufgenommen. Mit einer Probe von 5 l konnten die obigen sieben Elemente innerhalb von 2 min bestimmt werden. Die Übereinstimmung mit Literaturangaben war gut.

Organic nonlinear optical (NLO) material, N-succinopyridine (NSP), was synthesised and bulk single crystals were grown from aqueous solution using isothermal solvent evaporation technique. The stoichiometric form of NSP has been confirmed by carbon–hydrogen–nitrogen analysis. NSP crystallizes in orthorhombic system with non-centrosymmetric space group P212121 and unit cell dimensions a = 7.721(2) Å, b = 7.762(3) Å, c = 14.951(3) Å. The thermal stability, thermal decomposition and specific heat capacity of NSP have been investigated by thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis, differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) analysis and modulated DSC analysis. A wide transparency window, 294–1,100 nm, useful for optoelectronic applications is indicated by UV–Vis–NIR studies. The NLO second harmonic generation efficiency analysis using Nd:YAG laser (1,064 nm) revealed that the SHG efficiency of NSP is about 1.2 times higher than that of standard potassium dihydrogen phosphate powder of comparable size and more importantly that it is phase-matchable. The room temperature mechanical behaviours of NSP have been tested using Vicker’s microhardness tester and the results were analysed through classical Mayer’s law. The dielectric behaviours such as dielectric constant, dielectric loss and ac conductivity of NSP single crystal have also been investigated as a function of frequency (20 Hz–1 MHz) and temperature (308–358 K).  相似文献

Quantum calculations of interaction of the molecular hydrogen with transition-metal clusters have been performed. The aim of the project is to compare the results for different metals and different methods of calculations. The calculations have been mostly based on the gradient-corrected methods of the density functional theory. The list of the exchange-correlation functionals includes: the gradient corrected functional BP86, the hybrid functionals B3P86, B3LYP, B3PW9, and the local SVWN functional. The calculations of the potential energy surface (PES) for the hydrogen molecule positioned over the planar Pd5 clusters have been performed. It was found that the H–H bond activation is without barrier for most of the functionals used. However, the results obtained for the B3LYP functional suggest very small potential barrier, of the order of 0.003 eV. The calculations of the PES for dihydrogen in contact with metal clusters have been performed for Ni5, Ag5, Cu5 clusters and for mixed clusters Ag4Pd, AgPd4, NiCu4, and NiPd4. The dissociation paths for all the cases with the exception of Ag5 and Cu5 have been found and the dissociation energies and activation barriers have been estimated.  相似文献
