Motivated by some functional models arising in fuzzy logic, when classical boolean relations between sets are generalized, we study the functional equation S(S(x, y), T(x, y)) = S(x, y), where S is a continuous t-conorm and T is a continuous t-norm. In this paper, we introduce a new combinatorial invariant called q-binomial moment for q-ary constant weight codes. We derive a lower bound on the q-binomial moments and introduce a new combinatorial structure called generalized (s, t)-designs which could achieve the lower bounds. Moreover, we employ the q-binomial moments to study the undetected error probability of q-ary constant weight codes. A lower bound on the undetected error probability for q-ary constant weight codes is obtained. This lower bound extends and unifies the related results of Abdel-Ghaffar for q-ary codes and Xia-Fu-Ling for binary constant weight codes. Finally, some q-ary constant weight codes which achieve the lower bounds are found.   相似文献

The extremal dependence behavior of t copulas is examined and their extreme value limiting copulas, called the t-EV copulas, are derived explicitly using tail dependence functions. As two special cases, the Hüsler–Reiss and the Marshall–Olkin distributions emerge as limits of the t-EV copula as the degrees of freedom go to infinity and zero respectively. The t copula and its extremal variants attain a wide range in the set of bivariate tail dependence parameters. Supported by NSERC Discovery Grant.  相似文献

We develop the notion of t-homogeneous, G-semiregular large sets of t-designs, show that there are infinitely many 3-homogeneous PSL(2, q)-semiregular large sets when q 3 mod 4, two sporadic 3-homogeneous AL(1,32)-semiregular large sets, and no other interesting t-homogeneous G-semiregular large sets for t 3.  相似文献

We study block-transitive point-imprimitive t–(v, k, ) designs. It was showed by Cameron and Praeger that in such designs t = 2 or 3. In 1989, Delandtsheer and Doyen proved that a block-transitive point-imprimitive 2-design satisfies v (( k 2)–1)2. In this paper, we give a proof of the Cameron–Praeger conjecture which states that for t = 3 the stronger inequality v ( k 2)+1 holds. We find two infinite families of 3-designs for which this bound is met. We also show that the above designs cannot have = 1, and that = 2 is possible only if v attains its maximal value, and various other restrictions are met.  相似文献

Let λ j ′ denote the number of nodes in column j in the Ferrers-Young diagram of Λ. The hook number of the (i,j) node in the Ferrers-Young diagram of Λ is denoted by H(i,j):=λ i +λ j ′−ij+1. A partition of n is called a t-core partition of n if none of the hook numbers is a multiple of t. The number of t-core partitions of n is denoted by a(t;n). In the present paper, some congruences and distribution properties of the number of 2 t -core partitions of n are obtained. A simple convolution identity for t-cores is also given.   相似文献

A finite mixture model using the multivariate t distribution has been well recognized as a robust extension of Gaussian mixtures. This paper presents an efficient PX-EM algorithm for supervised learning of multivariate t mixture models in the presence of missing values. To simplify the development of new theoretic results and facilitate the implementation of the PX-EM algorithm, two auxiliary indicator matrices are incorporated into the model and shown to be effective. The proposed methodology is a flexible mixture analyzer that allows practitioners to handle real-world multivariate data sets with complex missing patterns in a more efficient manner. The performance of computational aspects is investigated through a simulation study and the procedure is also applied to the analysis of real data with varying proportions of synthetic missing values.  相似文献

The t-solutions introduced in R. W. Rosenthal (1989, Int J Game Theory 18:273–292) are quantal response equilibria based on the linear probability model. Choice probabilities in t-solutions are related to the determination of leveling taxes in taxation problems. The set of t-solutions coincides with the set of Nash equilibria of a game with quadratic control costs. Evaluating the set of t-solutions for increasing values of t yields that players become increasingly capable of iteratively eliminating never-best replies and eventually only play rationalizable actions with positive probability. These features are not shared by logit quantal response equilibria. Moreover, there exists a path of t-solutions linking uniform randomization to Nash equilibrium  相似文献

Let X, X 1, X 2,... be independent and identically distributed random variables with a finite third moment, and let T n be the Student's t-statistic. This paper shows that lim n P(T n>x)/P(t n>x)=1 holds uniformly in 0xo(n 1/6), where t n has a t-distribution with n–1 degrees of freedom. In this paper, we introduce a new family of multivariate distributions as the scale mixture of the multivariate power exponential distribution introduced by Gómez et al. (Comm. Statist. Theory Methods 27(3) (1998) 589) and the inverse generalized gamma distribution. Since the resulting family includes the multivariate t distribution and the multivariate generalization of the univariate GT distribution introduced by McDonald and Newey (Econometric Theory 18 (11) (1988) 4039) we call this family as the “multivariate generalized t-distributions family”, or MGT for short. We show that this family of distributions belongs to the elliptically contoured distributions family, and investigate the properties. We give the stochastic representation of a random variable distributed as a multivariate generalized t distribution. We give the marginal distribution, the conditional distribution and the distribution of the quadratic forms. We also investigate the other properties, such as, asymmetry, kurtosis and the characteristic function.  相似文献

In this paper, we employ the known recursive construction methods to obtain some new existence results for large sets of t-designs of prime sizes. We also present a new recursive construction which leads to more comprehensive theorems on large sets of sizes two and three. In the work of Hoshino, Kato and Miyachi, [11], the authors look at t-structures induced by a compact object, , of a triangulated category, , which is rigid in the sense of Iyama and Yoshino, [12]. Hoshino, Kato and Miyachi show that such an object yields a non-degenerate t-structure on whose heart is equivalent to Mod(End()op). Rigid objects in a triangulated category can the thought of as behaving like chain differential graded algebras (DGAs). Analogously, looking at objects which behave like cochain DGAs naturally gives the dual notion of a corigid object. Here, we see that a compact corigid object, , of a triangulated category, , induces a structure similar to a t-structure which we shall call a co-t-structure. We also show that the coheart of this non-degenerate co-t-structure is equivalent to Mod(End()op), and hence an abelian subcategory of .   相似文献

We introduce the method of assigning values in a ring to the points of a t-design. We give the notion of an -design. We give a generalization of the concept of association scheme, and obtain a method to construct some of them from t-designs that generalizes the well-known construction for the case of ordinary association schemes.  相似文献

We present new constructions of t-designs by considering subcode supports of linear codes over finite fields. In particular, we prove an Assmus-Mattson type theorem for such subcodes, as well as an automorphism characterization. We derive new t-designs (t ≤ 5) from our constructions.   相似文献

In this study a Shewhart type control chart namely the V t chart, is proposed for improved monitoring of the process variability of a quality characteristic of interest Y. The proposed control chart is based on the ratio type estimator of the variance using a single auxiliary variable X. It is assumed that (Y, X) follows a bivariate normal distribution. The design structure of the V t chart is developed for Phase-I quality control and its comparison is made with those of the S 2 chart (a well-known Shewhart control chart) and the V r chart (a Shewhart type control chart proposed by Riaz (Comput Stat, 2008a) used for the same purpose. It is observed that the proposed V t chart outperforms the S 2 and V r charts, in terms of discriminatory power, for detecting moderate to large shifts in the process variability. It is observed that the performance of the V t chart keeps improving with an increase in |ρ yx | , where ρ yx is the correlation between Y and X.  相似文献

Up to now, all known Steiner 5-designs are on q + 1 points where q 3 (mod 4) is a prime power and the design is admitting PSL(2, q) as a group of automorphisms. In this article we present a 5-(36,6,1) design admitting PGL(2, 17) × C 2 as a group of automorphisms. The design is unique with this automorphism group and even for the commutator group PSL(2, 17) × Id 2 of this automorphism group there exists no further design with these parameters.
