In this paper, we describe the behavior of bounded energy finite solutions for certain nonlinear elliptic operators on a complete Riemannian manifold in terms of its p-harmonic boundary. We also prove that if two complete Riemannian manifolds are roughly isometric to each other, then their p-harmonic boundaries are homeomorphic to each other. In the case, there is a one to one correspondence between the sets of bounded energy finite solutions on such manifolds. In particular, in the case of the Laplacian, it becomes a linear isomorphism between the spaces of bounded harmonic functions with finite Dirichlet integral on the manifolds. Associated with the L p -curvature image defined by Lutwak, some inequalities for extended mixed p-affine surface areas of convex bodies and the support functions of L p -projection bodies are established. As a natural extension of a result due to Lutwak, an L p -type affine isoperimetric inequality, whose special cases are L p -Busemann-Petty centroid inequality and L p -affine projection inequality, respectively, is established. Some L p -mixed volume inequalities involving L p -projection bodies are also established.  相似文献

The notion of p-adic multiresolution analysis (MRA) is introduced. We discuss a “natural” refinement equation whose solution (a refinable function) is the characteristic function of the unit disc. This equation reflects the fact that the characteristic function of the unit disc is a sum of p characteristic functions of mutually disjoint discs of radius p −1. This refinement equation generates a MRA. The case p=2 is studied in detail. Our MRA is a 2-adic analog of the real Haar MRA. But in contrast to the real setting, the refinable function generating our Haar MRA is 1-periodic, which never holds for real refinable functions. This fact implies that there exist infinity many different 2-adic orthonormal wavelet bases in ℒ2(ℚ2) generated by the same Haar MRA. All of these new bases are described. We also constructed infinity many different multidimensional 2-adic Haar orthonormal wavelet bases for ℒ2(ℚ2 n ) by means of the tensor product of one-dimensional MRAs. We also study connections between wavelet analysis and spectral analysis of pseudo-differential operators. A criterion for multidimensional p-adic wavelets to be eigenfunctions for a pseudo-differential operator (in the Lizorkin space) is derived. We proved also that these wavelets are eigenfunctions of the Taibleson multidimensional fractional operator. These facts create the necessary prerequisites for intensive using our wavelet bases in applications. Our results related to the pseudo-differential operators develop the investigations started in Albeverio et al. (J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 12(4):393–425, 2006).   相似文献

We study the spectral properties of a large class of compact flat Riemannian manifolds of dimension 4, namely, those whose corresponding Bieberbach groups have the canonical lattice as translation lattice. By using the explicit expression of the heat trace of the Laplacian acting on p-forms, we determine all p-isospectral and L-isospectral pairs and we show that in this class of manifolds, isospectrality on functions and isospectrality on p-forms for all values of p are equivalent to each other. The list shows for any p, 1 ≤ p ≤ 3, many p-isospectral pairs that are not isospectral on functions and have different lengths of closed geodesics. We also determine all length isospectral pairs (i.e. with the same length multiplicities), showing that there are two weak length isospectral pairs that are not length isospectral, and many pairs, p-isospectral for all p and not length isospectral. In this paper, we generalize to p-harmonic mapssome gap results known for harmonic maps. In particular, we prove that,under a certain level of energy depending on the curvature of the domainand target manifolds, the only p-harmonic maps are theconstant ones. In this paper the author first introduce a new concept of L p -dual mixed volumes of star bodies which extends the classical dual mixed volumes. Moreover, we extend the notions of L p intersection body to L p -mixed intersection body. Inequalities for L p -dual mixed volumes of L p -mixed intersection bodies are established and the results established here provide new estimates for these type of inequalities. We establish a scale-invariant version of the boundary Harnack principle for p-harmonic functions in Euclidean C 1,1-domains and obtain estimates for the decay rates of positive p-harmonic functions vanishing on a segment of the boundary in terms of the distance to the boundary. We use these estimates to study the behavior of conformal Martin kernel functions and positive p-superharmonic functions near the boundary of the domain. H. Let G be a finite group and |G| = pn, p be a prime. For 0 m n, sm(G) denotes the number of subgroups of of order pm of G. Loo-Keng Hua and Hsio-Fu Tuan have ever conjectured: for an arbitrary finite p-group G, if p > 2, then sm(G) ≡ 1, 1 + p, 1 + p + p2 or 1 + p + 2p2 (mod p3). In this paper, we investigate the conjecture, and give some p-groups in which the conjecture holds and some examples in which the conjecture does not hold.  相似文献

In this paper, (p,Y)-Bessel operator sequences, operator frames and (p,Y)-Riesz bases for a Banach space X are introduced and discussed as generalizations of the usual concepts for a Hilbert space and of the g-frames. It is proved that the set of all (p,Y)-Bessel operator sequences for a Banach space X is a Banach space and isometrically isomorphic to the operator space B(X,p(Y)). Some necessary and sufficient conditions for a sequence of operators to be a (p,Y)-Bessel operator sequence are given. Also, a characterization of an independent (p,Y)-operator frame for X is obtained. Lastly, it is shown that an independent (p,Y)-operator frame for X is just a (p,Y)-Riesz basis for X and has a unique dual (q,Y*)-operator frame for X*.  相似文献

We investigate the rigged Hilbert space of free coherent states. We prove that this rigged Hilbert space is isomorphic to the space of generalized functions over a p-adic disk. We discuss the relation of the described isomorphism of rigged Hilbert spaces and noncommutative geometry and show that the considered example realizes the isomorphism between the noncommutative line and the p-adic disk.  相似文献

In this article we prove a Liouville type theorem for p-harmonic morphisms. In general, given a finite group G, a prime p and a p-subgroup R of G, the sylowizers of R in G are not conjugate. In this paper we afford some conditions to achieve the conjugation of the sylowizers of R in a p-soluble group G, among others
1.  p = 2 and the Sylow 2-subgroups of G are dihedral or quaternion.
2.  The Sylow p-subgroups of G have order at most p 3.
3.  p is odd, R is abelian and every element of order p in C G (R) lies in R.

In this paper, we will discuss recurrence, transience and other potential theoretic aspects based on symmetric regular Dirichlet space. We will first deal with Dirichlet space with the strong local property and give a recurrence criterion in terms of exhaustion function. This criterion shows that recurrence automatically provides us with an exhaustion function which is usable to verify a Liouville property on subharmonic functions. Secondly, a recurrence criterion and a transience criterion for a Nonlocal Dirichlet space will be presented. Those criteria can be applied to Albeverio–Karwowski"s random walks on p-adic number field. Lastly, we will prove the assertions which cover other potential theoretic aspect of p-adic number field such as Liouville property on harmonic functions.  相似文献

Let a connected undirected graph G  =  (V, E) be given. In the classical p-median problem we want to find a set X containing p points in G such that the sum of weighted distances from X to all vertices in V is minimized. We consider the semi-obnoxious case where every vertex has either a positive or negative weight. In this case we have two different objective functions: the sum of the minimum weighted distances from X to all vertices and the sum of the weighted minimum distances. In this paper we show that for the case p = 3 an optimal solution for the second model in a tree can be found in O(n 5) time. If the 3-median is restricted to vertices or if the tree is a path then the complexity can be reduced to O(n 3). We consider regular positive recurrent diffusion processes on an open interval (l,r) R 1 with inaccessible end points. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given in terms of the scale functions describing the domains of attraction of the nondegenerate limiting probability laws for the extreme-values under power normalization.
