开口谐振环(SRRs) 结构可以激励磁谐振, 实现负的磁导率. 提出在SRRs两环间隙内引入相对交错的金属短线, 并研究了金属短线对谐振频率的影响. 结果表明: 随着金属短线数目的增多, 谐振频率显著降低, 同时金属短线的结构参数如长度、宽度及间距也会对谐振频率产生影响. 最后验证了金属短线的引入对减小器件尺寸有明显作用, 且不因介质基底的存在而受到影响. 新型磁谐振单元可为今后超材料的设计及实际应用提供新的参考. 关键词: 左手材料 开口谐振环 太赫兹 小型化  相似文献

Measurements of engineered subwavelength microstructures can be designed to have positive or negative and μ at desired frequencies. We present transmission measurements of a metamaterial consisting of split ring resonators (SRR). Results for different polarizations and propagation directions are presented. The transmission shows a dip even for propagations perpendicular to the SRR plane, provided that the incident electric field is parallel to the sides of the split ring resonators (SRRs) which contain the cuts. The experimental results agree well with the theoretical calculations.  相似文献

We proposed meta-molecules structure composed of stacked double split ring resonators (DSRRs) and studied its electromagnetic resonances in the optical frequency range. We demonstrated that, for the first order plasmonic modes, the coupling between the outer and the inner SRRs in plane strongly influences on the resonant frequency splitting of the stacked DSRRs. And their resonant dips change with the arrangement of SRRs. However, the resonant frequencies for the high order plasmonic modes always remain immobile as the configuration varies. Our investigation offers an effective way to manipulate the resonant behavior in metamaterials.  相似文献

The effect of conductivity variation as a proposed method for the investigation of photoconductive switching properties of split ring resonators (SRRs) is simulated. Three different systems that are applicable under certain fabrication and/or optical excitation conditions are described. The simulated transmission spectrum indicates that for a large range of dark conductivity values, complete switching of the SRR resonance is possible. One of the simulated systems, involving split ring resonators on Si substrate, was fabricated and characterized. The transmission spectrum of that system was measured, with the Si in its high-resistivity state, and a −60 dB dip between 108 and 115 GHz, due to SRRs magnetic resonance, was observed.  相似文献

Negative magnetic permeability of split ring resonator (SRR) is theoretically investigated in the visible light region. In our calculations, we considered the delay of the current inside the metal SRR in order to estimate the permeability of the SRR precisely. From the results, the silver SRR array with small capacitance exhibits negative permeability in all the visible range. The dependence of the permeability on the filling factor of the SRR elements is also discussed.  相似文献

The ultrafast optical modulation properties of split ring resonators are characterized by utilizing optical pump-terahertz probe spectroscopy.The experimental results show that when the terahertz electric vector is perpendicular to the gap of the split ring resonator,resonant absorption can be quenched significantly under high pump excitation.However,when the terahertz electric vector is parallel to the gap,the resonant absorption is less sensitive to pump excitation due to the structural properties of the metamaterial.Our numerical simulations also demonstrate that the pump pulse significantly influences the split ring resonator current by generating carriers in the substrate.  相似文献

电磁波的极化态在信号传输和灵敏度测量中有非常重要的应用价值. 本文设计、仿真并实验验证了微波频段基于开口椭圆环谐振器的极化旋转超表面. 理论上, 将多阶表面等离子谐振和高阻抗表面相结合, 解释了多谐振点、高效率极化旋转的物理机理. 数值上, 通过对结构参数的仿真分析, 给出了运用开口椭圆环结构设计多频段、超宽带高效极化旋转超表面的方法. 所设计和制作的超表面能够在相对带宽104.5%的频率范围内实现大于85%的极化旋转效率. 这些工作将为极化操控超表面的设计和应用提供重要帮助.  相似文献

以金属铜六边形开口谐振环(SRRs)与金属铜线的组合为结构单元,研究了三维左手材料中的 缺陷效应. 利用电路板刻蚀技术制备了左手材料样品,采用波导法测量了SRRs构成的点缺陷 和线缺陷对左手材料X波段(8—12 GHz)微波透射行为的影响. 实验结果表明,引入不同尺 寸SRRs构成的点缺陷,材料谐振峰强度下降,最多达6 dB,相当于原来的186%,谐振频率 移动,通频带宽在630—720 MHz范围变化;引入不同尺寸SRRs构成三种取向的线缺陷时,材 料谐振峰强度下降,最多达11 dB,相当于原来的34 关键词: 左手材料 缺陷效应  相似文献

An asymmetric chiral metamaterial structure is constructed by using four double-layered U-shaped split ring resonators, which are each rotated by 90° with respect to their neighbors. The peculiarity of the suggested design is that the sizes of the electrically and magnetically excited rings are different, which allows for equalizing the orthogonal components of the electric field at the output interface with a 90° phase difference when the periodic structure is illuminated by an x-polarized wave. As a result, left-hand circular polarization and right-hand circular polarization are obtained in transmission at 5.1 GHz and 6.4 GHz, respectively. The experiment results are in good agreement with the numerical results.  相似文献

This paper is focused on the application of space mapping optimization to the automated synthesis of transmission lines loaded with complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) and open complementary split ring resonators (OCSRRs). These structures are of interest for the implementation of resonant-type metamaterial transmission lines and for the design of planar microwave circuits based on such complementary resonators. The paper presents a method to generate the layouts of CSRR- and OCSRR-loaded microstrip lines from the elements of their equivalent circuit models. Using the so-called aggressive space mapping, a specific implementation that uses quasi-Newton type iteration, we have developed synthesis algorithms that are able to provide the topology of these CSRR- and OCSRR-loaded lines in few steps. The most relevant aspect, however, is that this synthesis process is completely automatic, i.e., it does not require any action from the designers, other than initiating the algorithm. Moreover, this technique can be translated to other electrically small planar elements described by lumped element equivalent circuit models.  相似文献

In this work, a microstrip dual-band microwave duplexer implemented by means of a pair of dual-band branch-line hybrid couplers and a pair of dual-band band-stop filters is presented. The hybrid couplers are implemented by using complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs), etched in the ground plane, while the band-stop filters are made of spiral resonators (SRs) coupled to the host line. The measured duplexer characteristics are good and the device is compact by virtue of the small electrical size of the employed resonant elements. From this paper, it is clear that CSRRs and SRs are useful particles for the design of dual-band microwave systems requiring various microwave components.  相似文献

Two kinds of inorganic/organic hybrid junctions based on ZnO nanorods (NRs), i.e. two-layer planar heterojunction and embedded bulk composite structures, were fabricated on ITO glass substrates. Surface photovoltage (SPV) methods based on a Kelvin probe and a lock-in amplifier were respectively utilized to study the photogenerated charges at the surface and the interface in the ZnO-based hybrid junctions. Results indicate that the lock-in SPV response of the bulk composite structure is much higher than its planar counterpart in terms of intensity and spectral range. Therefore, ZnO NR/PF (poly(9,9-di-n-octylfluorenyl-2,7-diyl)) embedded bulk composite structures are more suitable and preferred for photovoltaic application.  相似文献

A simple dual-band antenna design and implementation method is proposed in this work, based on the equivalent media properties inspired by resonant metamaterial elements. The equivalent circuit model of dual-band patch antennas based on a complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) is presented and validated. The dual-band patch antenna is designed etching a CSRR in the patch of a conventional rectangular microstrip patch antenna. The first resonance is governed by the quasi-static resonance of the CSRR while the second resonance is originated by the rectangular patch. The fact of etching a CSRR on a rectangular patch antenna also produces a miniaturization of a conventional patch antenna. The equivalent circuit model proposed in this letter is sound in order to understand the functionality of dual-band patch antennas based on a CSRR. Good agreement between simulation, equivalent circuit model and experimental results is shown and discussed. These results lead the equivalent circuit model to become a simple and straightforward tool for the design of this type of multiband antennas, of low cost and versatile operation for a broad range of wireless communication systems.  相似文献

We have numerically demonstrated chiral metamaterials based on double-layered asymmetric U-shape split ring resonators. Dual-band circular dichroism is found in the whole frequency regime from 50 to 250 THz by studying the transmission properties. Huge optical activity and the induced negative refractive index are obtained at resonance by calculating the optical activity and ellipticity of the transmitted E-fields. Chirality parameter and effective refractive index are retrieved to illustrate the tunable optical properties of the metamaterials. The underlying mechanisms for the observed circular dichroism are analyzed. These metamaterials would offer flexible electromagnetic applications in the infrared regime.  相似文献

Hyperlenses based on metamaterials can be applied to subwavelength imaging in the lightwave band.In this letter,we demonstrate both through simulations and experimentally verified results that our proposed halfcylindrical shaped hyperlens can be used for super-resolution microwave focusing in a TE mode.Based on split ring resonators,the hyperlens satisfies a hyperbolic dispersion relationship.Simulations demonstrate that the focused spot size and position are insensitive to the rotation angle of the hyperlens around its geometric center.Experimental results show that a focused spot size 1/3 of the vacuum wavelength is achieved in the microwave band.  相似文献

Low profile and light weight are very important for practical applications of a spoof surface plasmon polariton(SSPP)coupler, especially at low frequencies. In this paper, we propose and design an ultra-thin, light-weight SSPP coupler based on broadside coupled split ring resonators(BC-SRRs). The size of BC-SRR can be far less than l/100 and can extremely well control the reflective phases within a subwavelength thickness. Due to the broadside capacitive coupling, the electrical size of BC-SRR is dramatically reduced to guarantee the ultra-thin thickness of the SSPP coupler. The weight of the SSPP coupler is reduced by a low occupation ratio of BC-SRR in the unit cell volume. As an example, a C-band SSPP coupler composed of phase gradient BC-SRRs is designed, fabricated, and measured. Due to the ultra-small size and low occupation ratio of BC-SRRs, the thickness of the coupler is l/12 and the surface density is only 0.98 kg/m~2. Both simulation and experiment results verify that the coupler can achieve high-efficiency SPP coupling at 5.27 GHz under normal incidence.  相似文献

Periodic arrays of gold wires and split ring resonators (SRR) with a minimum feature size of 50 nm are fabricated on low-doped silicon. To our knowledge, the periodic arrangement of SRRs and wires considered in this work has not been studied in the near-infrared domain yet. For normal-incidence conditions, this metamaterial structure exhibits resonances at 70 and 170 THz (i.e., at λ ≈ 4.3 and 1.75 μm), which are identified as LC- and Mie resonances, respectively. These resonances are also observed for the SRRs alone, but the amplitude of the Mie resonance is reinforced due to the coupling between the SRRs and wires. The structure is simulated using finite-element software, while transmission and reflection measurements are performed with a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. Numerical simulations are found to be in very good agreement with experimental characterizations, thereby showing that the Drude model used in calculations is well suited to simulate gold structures at near-infrared frequencies. Theoretical calculations predict that the metamaterial has a negative permittivity and a negative permeability near each resonance.  相似文献
