We study the short-time Fourier transformation, modulation spaces, Gabor representations and time-frequency localization operators, for functions and tempered distributions that have as range space a Banach or a Hilbert space. In the Banach space case the theory of modulation spaces contains some modifications of the scalar-valued theory, depending on the Banach space. In the Hilbert space case the modulation spaces have properties similar to the scalar-valued case and the Gabor frame theory essentially works. For localization operators in this context symbols are operator-valued. We generalize two results from the scalar-valued theory on continuity on certain modulation spaces when the symbol belongs to an Lp,q space and M, respectively. The first result is true for any Banach space as range space, and the second result is true for any Hilbert space as range space.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a class of weighted integral operators onL 2 (0, ) and show that they are unitarily equivalent to Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces of the right half plane. We discuss conditions for the Hankel integral operator to be finite rank, Hilbert-Schmidt, nuclear and compact, expressed in terms of the kernel of the integral operator. For a particular class of weights these operators are shown to be unitarily equivalent to little Hankel operators on weighted Bergman spaces of the disc, and the symbol correspondence is given. Finally the special case of the unweighted Bergman space is considered and for this case, motivated by approximation problems in systems theory, some asymptotic results on the singular values of Hankel integral operators are provided.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to some of the properties of uniformly elliptic differential operators with bounded coefficients on manifolds of bounded geometry in L pspaces. We prove the coincidence of minimal and maximal extensions of an operator of a considered type with a positive principal symbol, the existence of holomorphic semigroup, generated by it, and the estimates of L p-norms of the operators of this semigroup. Some spectral properties of such operators in L pspaces are also studied.  相似文献

We study convolution operators on weighted Lebesgue spaces and obtain weight characterisations for boundedness of these operators with certain kernels. Our main result is Theorem 3 which enables us to obtain results for certain kernel functions supported on bounded intervals; in particular we get a direct proof of the known characterisations for Steklov operators in Section 3 by using the weighted Hardy inequality. Our methods also enable us to obtain new results for other kernel functions in Section 4. In Section 5 we demonstrate that these convolution operators are related to operators arising from the Weiss Conjecture (for scalar-valued observation functionals) in linear systems theory, so that results on convolution operators provide elementary examples of nearly bounded semigroups not satisfying the Weiss Conjecture. Also we apply results on the Weiss Conjecture for contraction semigroups to obtain boundedness results for certain convolution operators.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the question to obtain (algebraic and topologic) equivalence (after extension) relations between convolution type operators on unions of intervals and convolution type operators on the half-line. These operators are supposed to act between Bessel potential spaces,H s,p , which are the appropriate spaces in several applications. The present approach is based upon special properties of convenient projectors, decompositions and extension operators and the construction of certain homeomorphisms between the kernels of the projectors. The main advantage of the method is that it provides explicit operator matrix identities between the mentioned operators where the relations are constructed only by bounded invertible operators. So they are stronger than the (algebraic) Kuijper-Spitkovsky relation and the Bastos-dos Santos-Duduchava relation with respect to the transfer of properties on the prize that the relations depend on the orders of the spaces and hold only for non-critical orders:S – 1/p . For instance, (generalized) inverses of the operators are explicitly represented in terms of operator matrix factorization. Some applications are presented. This research was supported by Junta Nacional de Investigação Científica e Tecnológica (Portugal) and the Bundesminister für Forschung und Technologie (Germany) within the projectSingular Operators-new features and applications, and by a PRAXIS XXI project under the titleFactorization of Operators and Applications to Mathematical Physics.  相似文献

We use operator-valued Fourier multiplier theorems to study second order differential equations in Banach spaces. We establish maximal regularity results in Lp and Cs for strong solutions of a complete second order equation. In the second part, we study mild solutions for the second order problem. Two types of mild solutions are considered. When the operator A involved is the generator of a strongly continuous cosine function, we give characterizations in terms of Fourier multipliers and spectral properties of the cosine function. The results obtained are applied to elliptic partial differential operators. We consider differences of composition operators between given weighted Banach spaces H v or H 0 v of analytic functions defined on the unit polydisk D N with weighted sup-norms and give estimates for the distance of these differences to the space of compact operators. We also study boundedness and compactness of the operators. This paper is an extension of [6] where the one-dimensional case is treated. Received: May 15, 2007. Revised: October 8, 2007.  相似文献

Abstract

Abstract extrapolation spaces for strongly continuous semigroups of linear operators on Banach spaces have been constructed by various methods (see, e.g., [Am (1988)], [DaP-Gr (1984)], [Na (1983)], [Ne (1992)], [Wa (1986)]). Usually they appear as “artefacts” used in some intermediate step in order to solve the Cauchy problem on the original space. Only in a few cases (see the papers by the Dutch school on X *, e.g., [Ne (1992)]), and in sharp contrast to the situation for interpolation spaces (see, e.g., [Gr (1969)], [DiB (1991)], [Lu (1985)], [Ac-Te (1987)]), the extrapolation spaces have been identified in a concrete way. It is our intention to fill this gap and subsequently to give an application of the extrapolation method to a perturbation problem.  相似文献

Abstract

This note contains an order-theoretical approach to the theory of stochastic operators. Our main result is a necessary condition for the existence of n-th roots of an ergodic and conservative operator, which generalizes known results for measure-preserving operators and operators on L p-type spaces.  相似文献

We study Toeplitz operators on the harmonic Bergman spaceb p (B), whereB is the open unit ball inR n(n2), for 1<p. We give characterizations for the Toeplitz operators with positive symbols to be bounded, compact, and in Schatten classes. We also obtain a compactness criteria for the Toeplitz operators with continuous symbols.  相似文献

The classical Adamjan-Arov-Krein (A-A-K) theorem relating the singular numbers of Hankel operators to best approximations of their symbols by rational functions is given an abstract version. This provides results for Hankel operators acting in weightedH 2(T; ), as well as inH 2(T d ), and an A-A-K type extension of Sarason's interpolation theorem. In particular, it is shown that all compact Hankel operators inH 2(T d ) are zero.Author partially supported by NSF grant DMS89-11717.  相似文献

In this work we develop the theory of weighted anisotropic Besov spaces associated with general expansive matrix dilations and doubling measures with the use of discrete wavelet transforms. This study extends the isotropic Littlewood- Paley methods of dyadic -transforms of Frazier and Jawerth [19, 21] to non-isotropic settings.Several results of isotropic theory of Besov spaces are recovered for weighted anisotropic Besov spaces. We show that these spaces are characterized by the magnitude of the -transforms in appropriate sequence spaces. We also prove boundedness of an anisotropic analogue of the class of almost diagonal operators and we obtain atomic and molecular decompositions of weighted anisotropic Besov spaces, thus extending isotropic results of Frazier and Jawerth [21].The author was partially supported by the NSF grant DMS-0441817.  相似文献

For the unilateral shift operator U on the Hardy space H2(T), we describe conditions on operators T, acting on H2(T), that are necessary and sufficient for the pair (U, T) to be jointly hyponormal. One necessary condition is that T be a Toeplitz operator. Consequently, we study certain nonanalytic symbols that give rise to Toeplitz operators hyponormal with the shift, and thereby obtain examples of noncommuting, jointly hyponormal pairs.Supported in part by a research grant from NSERC  相似文献

LetA be aC * — algebra for which all irrèducible representations are of dimensional n. Then ([F], [TT], [V]) algebraA is isomorphic to algebra of all continuous sections of an appropriate algebraic bundle A . The basisX of this bundle coincides with the compact of all maximal two-sided ideals ofA. We obtain some conditions which provide that A is trivial and this yields thatA is isomorphic to the algebra of alln×n matrix functions continuous onX. In the case whenX=S n is a sphere we describe the set of algebraic bundles overX and algebraic structures on this set. Some applications to algebras generated by idempotents are suggested.  相似文献

Extending results of Davies and of Keicher on p we show that the peripheral point spectrum of the generator of a positive bounded C0-semigroup of kernel operators on Lp is reduced to 0. It is shown that this implies convergence to an equilibrium if the semigroup is also irreducible and the fixed space non-trivial. The results are applied to elliptic operators. Viscosity approximation methods for a family of finite nonexpansive mappings are established in Banach spaces. The main theorems extend the main results of Moudafi [Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. We consider some functional Banach algebras with multiplications as the usual convolution product * and the so‐called Duhamel product ?. We study the structure of generators of the Banach algebras (C(n)[0, 1], *) and (C(n)[0, 1], ?). We also use the Banach algebra techniques in the calculation of spectral multiplicities and extended eigenvectors of some operators. Moreover, we give in terms of extended eigenvectors a new characterization of a special class of composition operators acting in the Lebesgue space Lp[0, 1] by the formula (Cφf)(x) = f(φ(x)).  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a composite iterative scheme by viscosity approximation method for finding a zero of an accretive operator in Banach spaces. Then, we establish strong convergence theorems for the composite iterative scheme. The main theorems improve and generalize the recent corresponding results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. The class of Toeplitz algebras associated to ordered groups is important in the analysis of Toeplitz operators on the generalised Hardy spaces defined by such groups. The conditions under which these Toeplitz algebras are Type I C*-algebras are investigated.  相似文献
