We propose a systematic method to produce potentially good recursive towers over finite fields. The graph point of view, so as some magma and sage computations are used in this process. We also establish some theoretical functional criterion ensuring the existence of many rational points on a recursive tower. Both points are illustrated by an example, from the production process, to the theoretical study.  相似文献

In this paper, we will study Ciani curves in characteristic p3, in particular their standard forms C:x4+y4+z4+rx2y2+sy2z2+tz2x2=0. It is well-known that any Ciani curve is a non-hyperelliptic curve of genus 3, and its Jacobian variety is isogenous to the product of three elliptic curves. As a main result, we will show that if C is superspecial, then r,s,t belong to Fp2 and C is maximal or minimal over Fp2. Moreover, in this case we will provide a simple criterion in terms of r,s,t,p that tells whether C is maximal (resp. minimal) over Fp2.  相似文献

Let 𝒳 be an irreducible algebraic curve defined over a finite field 𝔽q of characteristic p>2. Assume that the 𝔽q-automorphism group of 𝒳 admits a subgroup isomorphic to the direct product of two cyclic groups Cm and Cn of orders m and n prime to p, such that both quotient curves 𝒳Cn and 𝒳Cm are rational. In this paper, we provide a complete classification of such curves as well as a characterization of their full automorphism groups.  相似文献

Every elliptic quartic Γ4 of PG(3,q) with nGF(q)-rational points provides a near-MDS code C of length n and dimension 4 such that the collineation group of Γ4 is isomorphic to the automorphism group of C. In this paper we assume that GF(q) has characteristic p>3. We classify the linear collineation groups of PG(3,q) which can preserve an elliptic quartic of PG(3,q). Also, we prove for q?113 that if the j-invariant of Γ4 does not disappear, then C cannot be extended in a natural way by adding a point of PG(3,q) to Γ4.  相似文献

In this note, we study the fluctuations in the number of points on smooth projective plane curves over a finite field Fq as q is fixed and the genus varies. More precisely, we show that these fluctuations are predicted by a natural probabilistic model, in which the points of the projective plane impose independent conditions on the curve. The main tool we use is a geometric sieving process introduced by Poonen (2004) [8].  相似文献

Let X be a set of order n and Y be a set of order m. An (n,m,{w 1, w 2})-separating hash family is a set of N functions from X to Y such that for any with , |X 1| = w 1 and |X 2| = w 2, there exists an element such that . In this paper, we provide explicit constructions of separating hash families using algebraic curves over finite fields. In particular, applying the Garcia–Stichtenoth curves, we obtain an infinite class of explicitly constructed (n,m,{w 1,w 2})–separating hash families with for fixed m, w 1, and w 2. Similar results for strong separating hash families are also obtained. As consequences of our main results, we present explicit constructions of infinite classes of frameproof codes, secure frameproof codes and identifiable parent property codes with length where n is the size of the codes. In fact, all the above explicit constructions of hash families and codes provide the best asymptotic behavior achieving the bound , which substantially improve the results in [ 8, 15, 17] give an answer to the fifth open problem presented in [11].  相似文献

In their well known book [6] Tsfasman and Vladut introduced a construction of a family of function field lattices from algebraic curves over finite fields, which have asymptotically good packing density in high dimensions. In this paper we study geometric properties of lattices from this construction applied to elliptic curves. In particular, we determine the generating sets, conditions for well-roundedness and a formula for the number of minimal vectors. We also prove a bound on the covering radii of these lattices, which improves on the standard inequalities.  相似文献
