Rational engineering and assimilation of diverse chemo‐ and biocatalytic functionalities in a single nanostructure is highly desired for efficient multistep chemical reactions but has so far remained elusive. Here, we design and synthesize multimodal catalytic nanoreactors (MCNRs) based on a mesoporous metal‐organic framework (MOF). The MCNRs consist of customizable metal nanocrystals and stably anchored enzymes in the mesopores, as well as coordinatively unsaturated cationic metal MOF nodes, all within a single nanoreactor space. The highly intimate and diverse catalytic mesoporous microenvironments and facile accessibility to the active site in the MCNR enables the cooperative and synergistic participation from different chemo‐ and biocatalytic components. This was shown by one‐pot multistep cascade reactions involving a heterogeneous catalytic nitroaldol reaction followed by a [Pd/lipase]‐catalyzed chemoenzymatic dynamic kinetic resolution to yield optically pure (>99 % ee) nitroalcohol derivatives in quantitative yields.  相似文献

In this work, three organosilica precursors functionalized with carbamate moieties were synthesized by condensing of 3‐isocyanatopropyltriethoxysilane and coupling regents of either hydroquinone (HQ), bisphenol A (BPA), or 1,1′‐bi‐2‐naphthol (BN). These organosilica precursors were covalently bonded in the framework of periodic mesoporous organosilicas by co‐condensation and hydrolysis with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) under hydrothermal treatment. The compositions and physical properties were characterized with FTIR, XRD, thermogravimetric/differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA), 29Si NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopies, SEM, TEM, and BET technologies. These characterizations suggest that three different structures were formed as the result of different sizes and compositions of the organosilica precursors. The three mesoporous organosilicas were applied as heterogeneous catalysts in the one‐pot cascade Knoevenagel and Michael cyclopropanic reactions for the synthesis of cyclopropanic derivatives and showed excellent activity and selectivity. The highest conversion was obtained with mesoporous catalyst (MC)‐HQ owing to its ordered mesostructure, highest surface area, and weakest stereo effect of the organic linking groups compared with MC‐BAP and MC‐BN. This methodology employed cheaper and more easily obtainable raw materials as reagents over the traditional alkene additive system and these heterogeneous catalysts exhibit superior performance and recyclability than typical homogeneous organic catalysts.  相似文献

Flexible metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are highly desirable in host–guest chemistry owing to their almost unlimited structural/functional diversities and stimuli‐responsive pore architectures. Herein, we designed a flexible Zr‐MOF system, namely PCN‐700 series, for the realization of switchable catalysis in cycloaddition reactions of CO2 with epoxides. Their breathing behaviors were studied by successive single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses. The breathing amplitudes of the PCN‐700 series were modulated through pre‐functionalization of organic linkers and post‐synthetic linker installation. Experiments and molecular simulations confirm that the catalytic activities of the PCN‐700 series can be switched on and off upon reversible structural transformation, which is reminiscent of sophisticated biological systems such as allosteric enzymes.  相似文献

This Concept is aimed at describing the current state of the art in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) as heterogeneous catalysts for liquid‐phase oxidations, focusing on three important substrates, namely, alkenes, alkanes and alcohols. Emphases are on the nature of active sites that have been incorporated within MOFs and on future targets to be set in this area. Thus, selective alkene epoxidation with peroxides or oxygen catalyzed by constitutional metal nodes of MOFs as active sites are still to be developed. Moreover, no noble metal‐free MOF has been reported to date that can act as a general catalyst for the aerobic oxidation of primary and secondary aliphatic alcohols. In contrast, in the case of alkanes, a target should be to tune the polarity of MOF internal pores to control the outcome of the autooxidation process, resulting in the selective formation of alcohol/ketone mixtures at high conversion.  相似文献

Precise control of the number and position of the catalytic metal ions in heterogeneous catalysts remains a big challenge. Here we synthesized a series of two‐dimensional (2D) covalent organic frameworks (COFs) containing two different types of nitrogen ligands, namely imine and bipyridine, with controllable contents. For the first time, the selective coordination of the two nitrogen ligands of the 2D COFs to two different metal complexes, chloro(1,5‐cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) (Rh(COD)Cl) and palladium(II) acetate (Pd(OAc)2), has been realized using a programmed synthetic procedure. The bimetallically docked COFs showed excellent catalytic activity in a one‐pot addition–oxidation cascade reaction. The high surface area, controllable metal‐loading content, and predesigned active sites make them ideal candidates for their use as heterogeneous catalysts in a wide range of chemical reactions.  相似文献

Hypoxia-activated prodrugs (HAPs) with selective toxicity in tumor hypoxic microenvironments are a new strategy for tumor treatment with fewer side effects. Nonetheless, the deficiency of tumor tissue enrichment and tumor hypoxia greatly affect the therapeutic effect of HAPs. Herein, we design an active targeted drug delivery system driven by AS1411 aptamer to improve the tumor tissue enrichment of HAPs. The drug delivery system, called TPZ@Apt-MOF (TA-MOF), uses iron-based MOF as a carrier, surface-modified nucleolin aptamer AS1411, and the internal loaded hypoxia activation prodrug TPZ. Compared with naked MOF, the AS1411-modified MOF showed a better tumor targeting effect both in vitro and in vivo. MOF is driven by GSH to degrade within the tumor, producing Fe2+, and releasing the cargo. This process leads to a high consumption of the tumor protective agent GSH. Then, the Fenton reaction mediated by Fe2+ not only consumes the intracellular oxygen but also increases the intracellular production of highly toxic superoxide anions. This enhances the toxicity and therapeutic effect of TPZ. This study provides a new therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment.  相似文献

Industrial synthesis is driven by a delicate balance of the value of the product against the cost of production. Catalysts are often employed to ensure product turnover is economically favorable by ensuring energy use is minimized. One method, which is gaining attention, involves cooperative catalytic systems. By inserting a flexible polymer into a metal–organic framework (MOF) host, the advantages of both components work synergistically to create a composite that efficiently fixes carbon dioxide to transform various epoxides into cyclic carbonates. The resulting material retains high yields under mild conditions with full reusability. By quantitatively studying the kinetic rates, the activation energy was calculated, for a physical mixture of the catalyst components to be about 50 % higher than that of the composite. Through the unification of two catalytically active components, a new opportunity opens up for the development of synergistic systems in multiple applications.  相似文献

The role of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) in the field of catalysis is discussed, and special focus is placed on their assets and limits in light of current challenges in catalysis and green chemistry. Their structural and dynamic features are presented in terms of catalytic functions along with how MOFs can be designed to bridge the gap between zeolites and enzymes. The contributions of MOFs to the field of catalysis are comprehensively reviewed and a list of catalytic candidates is given. The subject is presented from a multidisciplinary point of view covering solid‐state chemistry, materials science, and catalysis.  相似文献

A type of interesting immobilized supramolecular catalysts based on surfactant‐encapsulated polyoxometalates has been developed for oxidation reactions. Through a sol‐gel process with tetraethyl orthosilicate, hydroxyl‐terminated surfactant‐encapsulated polyoxometalate complexes have been covalently and uniformly bound to a silica matrix with unchanged complex structure. The formed hybrid catalysts possess a defined hydrophobic nano‐environment surrounding the inorganic clusters, which is conducive to compatibility between the polyoxometalate catalytic centres and organic substrates. The supramolecular synergy between substrate adsorption, reaction, and product desorption during the oxidation process has been found to have an obvious influence on the reaction kinetics, with the activity of the catalyst being greatly improved. The supramolecular catalysts performed effectively in the selective oxidation of several different kinds of organic compounds, such as alkenes, alcohols, and sulfides, and the main products were the corresponding epoxides, ketones, sulfoxides, and sulfones. More significantly, the catalyst could be easily recovered by simple filtration, and the catalytic activity was well retained for at least five cycles. Finally, the present strategy has proved to be a general route for the fabrication of supramolecular hybrid catalysts containing common polyoxometalates suitable for various purposes.  相似文献

Hollow metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are promising materials with sophisticated structures, such as multiple shells, that cannot only enhance the properties of MOFs but also endow them with new functions. Herein, we show a rational strategy to fabricate multi‐shelled hollow chromium (III) terephthalate MOFs (MIL‐101) with single‐crystalline shells through step‐by‐step crystal growth and subsequent etching processes. This strategy relies on the creation of inhomogeneous MOF crystals in which the outer layer is chemically more robust than the inner layer and can be selectively etched by acetic acid. The regulation of MOF nucleation and crystallization allows the tailoring of the cavity size and shell thickness of each layer. The resultant multi‐shelled hollow MIL‐101 crystals show significantly enhanced catalytic activity during styrene oxidation. The insight gained from this systematic study will aid in the rational design and synthesis of other multi‐shelled hollow structures and the further expansion of their applications.  相似文献

Many sophisticated chemical and physical properties of porous materials strongly rely on the presence of the metal ions within the structures. Whereas homogeneous distribution of metals is conveniently realized in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), the limited stability potentially restricts their practical implementation. From that perspective, the development of metal–covalent organic frameworks (MCOFs) may address these shortcomings by incorporating active metal species atop highly stable COF backbones. This Minireview highlights examples of MCOFs that tackle important issues from their design, synthesis, characterization to cutting‐edge applications.  相似文献

An iron‐based metal–organic framework, [Fe(BTC)] (BTC: 1,3,5‐benzenetricarboxylate) is an efficient catalyst in the ring opening of styrene oxide with alcohols and aniline under mild reaction conditions. Out of the various alcohols tested for ring opening of styrene oxide, methanol was found to be the most reactive in terms of percentage conversion and reactivity. The rate of the ring‐opening reaction of styrene oxide decreases as the size of the alcohol is increased, suggesting the location of active sites in micropores. [Fe(BTC)] was a truly heterogeneous catalyst and could be reused without loss of activity. The analogous compound [Cu3(BTC)2] was also found to be effective, although with somewhat lower activity than [Fe(BTC)]. The present heterogeneous protocol is compared with a homogeneous catalyst to give an insight into the reaction mechanism.  相似文献

Two chiral carboxylic acid functionalized micro‐ and mesoporous metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) are constructed by the stepwise assembly of triple‐stranded heptametallic helicates with six carboxylic acid groups. The mesoporous MOF with permanent porosity functions as a host for encapsulation of an enantiopure organic amine catalyst by combining carboxylic acids and chiral amines in situ through acid–base interactions. The organocatalyst‐loaded framework is shown to be an efficient and recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for the asymmetric direct aldol reactions with significantly enhanced stereoselectivity in relative to the homogeneous organocatalyst.  相似文献

Although many ionic metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have been reported, little is known about how the charge of the skeleton affects the properties of the MOF materials. Herein we report how the chemical stability of MOFs can be substantially improved through embedding electrostatic interactions in structure. A MOF with a cationic skeleton is impervious to extremely acidic, oxidative, reductive, and high ionic strength conditions, such as 12 m HCl (301 days), aqua regia (86 days), H2O2 (30 days), and seawater (30 days), which is unprecedented for MOFs. DFT calculations suggested that steric hinderance and the repulsive interaction of the cationic framework toward positively charged species in microenvironments protects the vulnerable bonds in the structure. Diverse functionalities can be bestowed by substituting the counterions of the charged framework with identically charged functional species, which broadens the horizon in the design of MOFs adaptable to a demanding environment with specific functionalities.  相似文献
