Amorphous iron phosphate (FePO4) has attracted enormous attention as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) because of its high theoretical specific capacity and superior electrochemical reversibility. Nevertheless, the low rate performance and rapid capacity decline seriously hamper its implementation in SIBs. Herein, we demonstrate a sagacious multi-step templating approach to skillfully craft amorphous FePO4 yolk–shell nanospheres with mesoporous nanoyolks supported inside the robust porous outer nanoshells. Their unique architecture and large surface area enable these amorphous FePO4 yolk–shell nanospheres to manifest remarkable sodium storage properties with high reversible capacity, outstanding rate performance, and ultralong cycle life.  相似文献

As-prepared polyaniline (PANI) nanorods have been used to synthesize an iron phosphate/polyaniline (FePO4/PANI) composition through the microemulsion technique. After sintering at 460 °C under a nitrogen protective atmosphere, the PANI carbonized, yielding the amorphous iron phosphate/carbonized polyaniline nanorods (FePO4/CPNRs) composite, which acts as the cathode material in sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). The electrochemical performance of FePO4/CPNRs composite shows an initial discharge specific capacity of 140.2 mAh g?1, with the discharge specific capacity being maintained at 134.4 mAh g?1 after the 120th cycle, up to 87.9 % of the theoretical capacity (154.1 mAh g?1 for NaFePO4), as well as an excellent rate capability in sodium-ion batteries. Compared with pure FePO4, the electrochemical performance has been greatly improved. On the one hand, using the CPNRs as conductive medium significantly improves electronic transport. On the other hand, the FePO4 sphere of nanoscale particles, which has a large specific surface area, can promote an active material/electrolyte interface reaction and improve the speed of sodiation and desodiation during the charge and discharge process. The amorphous FePO4/CPNRs composite shows outstanding electrochemical performance as competitive cathode material in SIBs.  相似文献

Flexible lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) have recently attracted increasing attention with the fast development of bendable electronic systems. Herein, a facile and template‐free solvothermal method is presented for the fabrication of hybrid yolk–shell CoS2 and nitrogen‐doped graphene (NG) sheets. The yolk–shell architecture of CoS2 encapsulated with NG coating is designed for the dual protection of CoS2 to address the structural and interfacial stability concerns facing the CoS2 anode. The as‐prepared composite can be assembled into a film, which can be used as a binder‐free and flexible electrode for LIBs that does not require any carbon black conducting additives or current collectors. When evaluating lithium‐storage properties, such a flexible electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 992 mAh g?1 in the first reversible discharge capacity at a current rate of 100 mA g?1 and high reversible capacity of 882 mAh g?1 after 150 cycles with excellent capacity retention of 89.91 %. Furthermore, a reversible capacity as high as 655 mAh g?1 is still achieved after 50 cycles even at a high rate of 5 C due to the yolk–shell structure and NG coating, which not only provide short Li‐ion and electron pathways, but also accommodate large volume variation.  相似文献

Amorphous MnO2 has been prepared from the reduction of KMnO4 in ethanol media by a facile one‐step wet chemical route at room temperature. The electrochemical properties of amorphous MnO2 as cathode material in sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs ) are studied by galvanostatic charge/discharge testing. And the structure and morphologies of amorphous MnO2 are investigated by X‐ray diffraction (XRD ), scanning electron microscopy (SEM ), transmission electron microscopy (TEM ) and Raman spectra. The results reveal that as‐synthesized amorphous MnO2 electrode material exhibits a spherical morphology with a diameter between 20 and 60 nm. The first specific discharge capacity of the amorphous MnO2 electrode is 123.2 mAh •g−1 and remains 136.8 mAh •g−1 after 100 cycles at the current rate of 0.1 C. The specific discharge capacity of amorphous MnO2 is maintained at 139.2, 120.4, 89, 68 and 47 mAh •g−1 at the current rate of 0.1 C, 0.2 C, 0.5 C, 1 C and 2 C, respectively. The results indicate that amorphous MnO2 has great potential as a promising cathode material for SIBs .  相似文献

Antimony‐based electrode materials with high specific capacity have aroused considerable interest as anode materials for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Herein, we develop a template‐engaged ion‐exchange method to synthesize Sb2Se3 microclips, and the as‐obtained Sb2Se3 microclips are further in situ coated with polypyrrole (PPy). Benefiting from the structural and compositional merits, these PPy‐coated Sb2Se3 microclips exhibit enhanced sodium‐storage properties in terms of high reversible capacity, superior rate capability, and stable cycling performance.  相似文献

The sluggish sodium reaction kinetics, unstable Sn/Na2O interface, and large volume expansion are major obstacles that impede practical applications of SnO2‐based electrodes for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Herein, we report the crafting of homogeneously confined oxygen‐vacancy‐containing SnO2?x nanoparticles with well‐defined void space in porous carbon nanofibers (denoted SnO2?x/C composites) that address the issues noted above for advanced SIBs. Notably, SnO2?x/C composites can be readily exploited as the working electrode, without need for binders and conductive additives. In contrast to past work, SnO2?x/C composites‐based SIBs show remarkable electrochemical performance, offering high reversible capacity, ultralong cyclic stability, and excellent rate capability. A discharge capacity of 565 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1 is retained after 2000 cycles.  相似文献

A simple and general method for the large‐scale production of yolk–shell powders with various compositions by a spray‐drying process is reported. Metal salt/dextrin composite powders with a spherical and dense structure were obtained by spray drying and transformed into yolk–shell powders by simple combustion in air. Dextrin plays a key role in the preparation of precursor powders for fabricating yolk–shell powders by spray drying. Droplets containing metal salts and dextrin show good drying characteristics even in a severe environment of high humidity. Sucrose, glucose, and polyvinylpyrrolidone are widely used as carbon sources in the preparation of metal oxide/carbon composite powders; however, they are not appropriate for large‐scale spray‐drying processes because of their caramelization properties and adherence to the surface of the spray dryer. SnO2 yolk–shell powders were studied as the first target material in the spray‐drying process. Combustion of tin oxalate/dextrin composite powders at 600 °C in air produced single‐shelled SnO2 yolk–shell powders with the configuration SnO2@void@SnO2. The SnO2 yolk–shell powders prepared by the simple spray‐drying process showed superior electrochemical properties, even at high current densities. The discharge capacities of the SnO2 yolk–shell powders at a current density of 2000 mA g?1 were 645 and 570 mA h g?1 for the second and 100th cycles, respectively; the corresponding capacity retention measured for the second cycle was 88 %.  相似文献

Although sodium ion batteries (SIBs) possess many beneficial features, their rate performance, cycling stability, and safety need improvement for commercial applications. Based on the mechanisms of the sodium ions storage in carbon materials, herein we present a multiple active sites decorated amorphous carbon (MAC) with rich structural defects and heteroatom doping as an anode material for SIBs. The full utilization of fast bonding–debonding processes between the active sites and sodium ions could bring a capacitive strategy to achieve superior sodium storage properties. Consequently, after materials characterization and electrochemical evaluation, the as‐prepared electrode could deliver high rate and long‐life performance. This active‐site‐related design could be extended to other types of electrode materials, thereby contributing to future practical SIB applications.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and anode application for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) of WS2 nanowires (WS2 NWs). WS2 NWs with very thin diameter of ≈25 nm and expanded interlayer spacing of 0.83 nm were prepared by using a facile solvothermal method followed by a heat treatment. The as‐prepared WS2 NWs were evaluated as anode materials of SIBs in two potential windows of 0.01–2.5 V and 0.5–3 V. WS2 NWs displayed a remarkable capacity (605.3 mA h g?1 at 100 mA g?1) but with irreversible conversion reaction in the potential window of 0.01–2.5 V. In comparison, WS2 NWs showed a reversible intercalation mechanism in the potential window of 0.5–3 V, in which the nanowire‐framework is well maintained. In the latter case, the interlayers of WS2 are gradually expanded and exfoliated during repeated charge–discharge cycling. This not only provides more active sites and open channels for the intercalation of Na+ but also facilitates the electronic and ionic diffusion. Therefore, WS2 NWs exhibited an ultra‐long cycle life with high capacity and rate capability in the potential window of 0.5–3 V. This study shows that WS2 NWs are promising as the anode materials of room‐temperature SIBs.  相似文献

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is a promising candidate as a high‐performing anode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to its large interlayer spacing. However, it suffers from continued capacity fading. This problem could be overcome by hybridizing MoS2 with nanostructured carbon‐based materials, but it is quite challenging. Herein, we demonstrate a single‐step strategy for the preparation of MoS2 coupled with ordered mesoporous carbon nitride using a nanotemplating approach which involves the pyrolysis of phosphomolybdic acid hydrate (PMA), dithiooxamide (DTO) and 5‐amino‐1H‐tetrazole (5‐ATTZ) together in the porous channels of 3D mesoporous silica template. The sulfidation to MoS2, polymerization to carbon nitride (CN) and their hybridization occur simultaneously within a mesoporous silica template during a calcination process. The CN/MoS2 hybrid prepared by this unique approach is highly pure and exhibits good crystallinity as well as delivers excellent performance for SIBs with specific capacities of 605 and 431 mAhg?1 at current densities of 100 and 1000 mAg?1, respectively, for SIBs.  相似文献

Silver molybdate, Ag2Mo2O7, has been prepared by a conventional solid‐state reaction. Its electrochemical properties as an anode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) have been comprehensively examined by means of galvanostatic charge–discharge cycling, cyclic voltammetry, and rate performance measurements. At operating voltages between 3.0 and 0.01 V, the electrode delivered a reversible capacity of nearly 190 mA h g?1 at a current density of 20 mA g?1 after 70 cycles. Ag2Mo2O7 also demonstrated a good rate capability and long‐term cycle stability, the capacity reaching almost 100 mA h g?1 at a current density of 500 mA g?1, with a capacity retention of 55 % over 1000 cycles. Moreover, the sodium storage process of Ag2Mo2O7 has been investigated by means of ex situ XRD, Raman spectroscopy, and HRTEM. Interestingly, the anode decomposes into Ag metal and Na2MoO4 during the initial discharge process, and then Na+ ions are considered to be inserted into/extracted from the Na2MoO4 lattice in the subsequent cycles governed by an intercalation/deintercalation mechanism. Ex situ HRTEM images revealed that Ag metal not only remains unchanged during the sodiation/desodiation processes, but is well dispersed throughout the amorphous matrix, thereby greatly improving the electronic conductivity of the working electrode. The “in situ” decomposition behavior of Ag2Mo2O7 is distinct from that of chemically synthesized, metal‐nanoparticle‐coated electrode materials, and provides strong supplementary insight into the mechanism of such new anode materials for SIBs and may set a precedent for the design of further materials.  相似文献

A spray‐pyrolysis process is introduced as an effective tool for the preparation of yolk–shell‐structured materials with electrochemical properties suitable for anode materials in Li‐ion batteries (LIBs). Yolk–shell‐structured ZnO–Mn3O4 systems with various molar ratios of the Zn and Mn components are prepared. The yolk–shell‐structured ZnO–Mn3O4 powders with a molar ratio of 1:1 of the Zn and Mn components are shown to have high capacities and good cycling performances.  相似文献

Room‐temperature sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) have shown great promise in grid‐scale energy storage, portable electronics, and electric vehicles because of the abundance of low‐cost sodium. Sodium‐based layered oxides with a P2‐type layered framework have been considered as one of the most promising cathode materials for SIBs. However, they suffer from the undesired P2–O2 phase transition, which leads to rapid capacity decay and limited reversible capacities. Herein, we show that this problem can be significantly mitigated by substituting some of the nickel ions with magnesium to obtain Na0.67Mn0.67Ni0.33?xMgxO2 (0≤x≤0.33). Both the reversible capacity and the capacity retention of the P2‐type cathode material were remarkably improved as the P2–O2 phase transition was thus suppressed during cycling. This strategy might also be applicable to the modulation of the physical and chemical properties of layered oxides and provides new insight into the rational design of high‐capacity and highly stable cathode materials for SIBs.  相似文献

As a promising positive electrode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), layered sodium oxides have attracted considerable attention in recent years. In this work, stoichiometric P2‐phase NaCo0.5Mn0.5O2 was prepared through the conventional solid‐state reaction, and its structural and physical properties were studied in terms of XRD, XPS, and magnetic susceptibility. Furthermore, the P2‐NaCo0.5Mn0.5O2 electrode delivered a discharge capacity of 124.3 mA h g?1 and almost 100 % initial coulombic efficiency over the potential window of 1.5–4.15 V. It also showed good cycle stability, with a reversible capacity and capacity retention reaching approximately 85 mA h g?1 and 99 %, respectively, at the 5 C rate after 100 cycles. Additionally, cyclic voltammetry and ex situ XRD were employed to explain the electrochemical behavior at the different electrochemical stages. Owing to the applicable performances, P2‐NaCo0.5Mn0.5O2 can be considered as a potential positive electrode material for SIBs.  相似文献

The selected‐control preparation of uniform core–shell and yolk–shell architectures, which combine the multiple functions of a superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) core and europium‐doped yttrium oxide (Y2O3:Eu) shell in a single material with tunable fluorescence and magnetic properties, has been successfully achieved by controlling the heat‐treatment conditions. Furthermore, the shell thickness and interior cavity of SPIO@Y2O3:Eu core–shell and yolk–shell nanostructures can be precisely tuned. Importantly, as‐prepared SPIO@Y2O3:Eu yolk–shell nanocapsules (NCs) modified with amino groups as cancer‐cell fluorescence imaging agents are also demonstrated. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on the selected‐control fabrication of uniform SPIO@Y2O3:Eu core–shell nanoparticles and yolk–shell NCs. The combined magnetic manipulation and optical monitoring of magnetic–fluorescent SPIO@Y2O3:Eu yolk–shell NCs will open up many exciting opportunities in dual imaging for targeted delivery and thermal therapy.  相似文献

A facile and efficient strategy for the synthesis of hierarchical yolk–shell microspheres with magnetic Fe3O4 cores and dielectric TiO2 shells has been developed. Various Fe3O4@TiO2 yolk–shell microspheres with different core sizes, interstitial void volumes, and shell thicknesses have been successfully synthesized by controlling the synthetic parameters. Moreover, the microwave absorption properties of these yolk–shell microspheres, such as the complex permittivity and permeability, were investigated. The electromagnetic data demonstrate that the as‐synthesized Fe3O4@TiO2 yolk–shell microspheres exhibit significantly enhanced microwave absorption properties compared with pure Fe3O4 and our previously reported Fe3O4@TiO2 core–shell microspheres, which may result from the unique yolk–shell structure with a large surface area and high porosity, as well as synergistic effects between the functional Fe3O4 cores and TiO2 shells.  相似文献

In this work, core‐shell structured magnetic mesoporous carbon nanospheres were fabricated from the carbonization of metal‐polyphenol coordination polymer‐coated Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The preparation method is simple, fast, versatile, and easy to scale up. Magnetic mesoporous carbon nanospheres exhibit a high specific surface area, high superparamagnetism, and high adsorption efficiencies for phthalates. Four phthalates were extracted from aqueous solutions by using magnetic mesoporous carbon nanospheres via magnetic solid phase extraction. Subsequent analysis was performed by using high‐performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection. The analytical method has good linearity in the concentration range of 1–200 ng/mL for diethyl phthalate, diisobutyl phthalate, and dicyclohexyl phthalate, and 3–200 ng/mL for dipropyl phthalate. The limits of detection were in the range of 0.10–0.62 ng/mL. Compared with previous methods, this method has a lower detection limit, wider linearity range, and faster adsorption and desorption rates. The results indicate that magnetic mesoporous carbon nanospheres are suitable for the enrichment of hydrophobic substances from aqueous solutions.  相似文献

We report a simple and template‐free strategy for the synthesis of hollow and yolk‐shell iron oxide (FeOx) nanostructures sandwiched between few‐layer graphene (FLG) sheets. The morphology and microstructure of this material are characterized in detail by X‐ray diffraction, X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy. Its properties are evaluated as negative electrode material for Li‐ion batteries and compared with those of solid FeOx/FLG and two commercial iron oxides. In all cases, the content of carbon in the electrode has a great influence on the performance. The use of pristine FLG improves the capacity retention and further enhancement is achieved with the hollow structure. For a low carbon loading of 18 wt. %, the presence of metallic iron in the hollow and yolk‐shell FeOx/FLG composite significantly enhances the capacity retention, albeit with a relatively lower initial reversible capacity, retaining above 97 % after 120 cycles at 1000 mA g?1 in the voltage range of 0.1–3.0 V.  相似文献

Sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) based on flexible electrode materials are being investigated recently for improving sluggish kinetics and developing energy density. Transition metal selenides present excellent conductivity and high capacity; nevertheless, their low conductivity and serious volume expansion raise challenging issues of inferior lifespan and capacity fading. Herein, an in‐situ construction method through carbonization and selenide synergistic effect is skillfully designed to synthesize a flexible electrode of bone‐like CoSe2 nano‐thorn coated on porous carbon cloth. The designed flexible CoSe2 electrode with stable structural feature displays enhanced Na‐ion storage capabilities with good rate performance and outstanding cycling stability. As expected, the designed SIBs with flexible BL?CoSe2/PCC electrode display excellent reversible capacity with 360.7 mAh g?1 after 180 cycles at a current density of 0.1 A g?1.  相似文献

Metal@TiO2 composites with a core–shell structure possess multifunctional properties. The demonstrated protocols for synthesizing such materials involve multiple steps, requiring precise control over the particle uniformity of the core and shell thickness, as well as complex surface modification. A simple approach to synthesizing metal@TiO2 hybrid nanostructures remains a great challenge. Herein, we report on a one‐step method for the preparation of metal@TiO2 core–shell nanospheres, which exhibited excellent performance in photocatalytic degradation of recalcitrant organic pollutants under visible light irradiation, and in catalytic reduction of nitrophenol in water. The simple method described here represents a sustainable approach to preparing core–shell materials at low cost, involving fewer chemicals, and requiring less energy, which will make a significant contribution toward large‐scale synthesis of high‐performance hybrid materials for photocatalytic applications.  相似文献
