A dual-site catalyst allows for a synergetic reaction in the close proximity to enhance catalysis. It is highly desirable to create dual-site interfaces in single-atom system to maximize the effect. Herein, we report a cation-deficient electrostatic anchorage route to fabricate an atomically dispersed platinum–titania catalyst (Pt1O1/Ti1−xO2), which shows greatly enhanced hydrogen evolution activity, surpassing that of the commercial Pt/C catalyst in mass by a factor of 53.2. Operando techniques and density functional calculations reveal that Pt1O1/Ti1−xO2 experiences a Pt−O dual-site catalytic pathway, where the inherent charge transfer within the dual sites encourages the jointly coupling protons and plays the key role during the Volmer–Tafel process. There is almost no decay in the activity of Pt1O1/Ti1−xO2 over 300 000 cycles, meaning 30 times of enhancement in stability compared to the commercial Pt/C catalysts (10 000 cycles).  相似文献

It is highly desirable but challenging to optimize the structure of photocatalysts at the atomic scale to facilitate the separation of electron–hole pairs for enhanced performance. Now, a highly efficient photocatalyst is formed by assembling single Pt atoms on a defective TiO2 support (Pt1/def‐TiO2). Apart from being proton reduction sites, single Pt atoms promote the neighboring TiO2 units to generate surface oxygen vacancies and form a Pt‐O‐Ti3+ atomic interface. Experimental results and density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the Pt‐O‐Ti3+ atomic interface effectively facilitates photogenerated electrons to transfer from Ti3+ defective sites to single Pt atoms, thereby enhancing the separation of electron–hole pairs. This unique structure makes Pt1/def‐TiO2 exhibit a record‐level photocatalytic hydrogen production performance with an unexpectedly high turnover frequency of 51423 h?1, exceeding the Pt nanoparticle supported TiO2 catalyst by a factor of 591.  相似文献

We report a systematic investigation on the structural and electronic effects of carbon‐supported PtxPd1?x bimetallic nanoparticles on the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) in acid electrolyte. PtxPd1?x/C nanocatalysts with various Pt/Pd atomic ratios (x=0.25, 0.5, and 0.75) were synthesized by using a borohydride‐reduction method. Rotating‐disk electrode measurements revealed that the Pt3Pd1/C nanocatalyst has a synergistic effect on the ORR, showing 50 % enhancement, and an antagonistic effect on the MOR, showing 90 % reduction, relative to JM 20 Pt/C on a mass basis. The extent of alloying and Pt d‐band vacancies of the PtxPd1?x/C nanocatalysts were explored by extended X‐ray absorption fine‐structure spectroscopy (EXAFS) and X‐ray absorption near‐edge structure spectroscopy (XANES). The structure–activity relationship indicates that ORR activity and methanol tolerance of the nanocatalysts strongly depend on their extent of alloying and d‐band vacancies. The optimal composition for enhanced ORR activity is Pt3Pd1/C, with high extent of alloying and low Pt d‐band vacancies, owing to favorable O? O scission and inhibited formation of oxygenated intermediates. MOR activity also shows structure dependence. For example, Pt1Pd3/C with Ptrich?corePdrich?shell structure possesses lower MOR activity than the Pt3Pd1/C nanocatalyst with random alloy structure. Herein, extent of alloying and d‐band vacancies reveal new insights into the synergistic and antagonistic effects of the PtxPd1?x/C nanocatalysts on surface reactivity.  相似文献

Electronic states of CeO2, Ce1????em>x Pt x O2????em>δ , and Ce1????em>x????em>y Ti y Pt x O2????em>δ electrodes have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy as a function of applied potential for oxygen evolution and formic acid and methanol oxidation. Ionically dispersed platinum in Ce1????em>x Pt x O2????em>δ and Ce1????em>x????em>y Ti y Pt x O2????em>δ is active toward these reactions compared with CeO2 alone. Higher electrocatalytic activity of Pt2+ ions in CeO2 and Ce1????em>x Ti x O2 compared with the same amount of Pt0 in Pt/C is attributed to Pt2+ ion interaction with CeO2 and Ce1????em>x Ti x O2 to activate the lattice oxygen of the support oxide. Utilization of this activated lattice oxygen has been demonstrated in terms of high oxygen evolution in acid medium with these catalysts. Further, ionic platinum in CeO2 and Ce1????em>x Ti x O2 does not suffer from CO poisoning effect unlike Pt0 in Pt/C due to participation of activated lattice oxygen which oxidizes the intermediate CO to CO2. Hence, higher activity is observed toward formic acid and methanol oxidation compared with same amount of Pt metal in Pt/C.  相似文献

Platinum dichalcogenides have been known to exhibit two‐dimensional layered structures. Herein, we describe the syntheses, isolation, and characterization of air‐stable crystalline cyclic alkyl(amino) carbene (cAAC)‐supported monomeric platinum disulfide three‐membered ring complex [(cAAC)2Pt(S2)] ( 2 ). The highly reactive platinum(0) [(cAAC)2Pt] complex ( 1 ) with two‐coordinate platinum activates elemental sulfur to give 2 . The brown crystals of bis‐carbene platinum(II)monosulfate [(cAAC)2Pt(SO4)x(S2)1?x] ( 4 ) have been isolated when the reaction was performed in air. The dioxygen analogue of 2 was formed upon exposing the THF solution of 1 to aerial oxygen (O2). The binding of oxygen at the Pt0 center was found to be reversible. Additionally, DFT study has been performed to elucidate the electronic structure and bonding scenario of 2 , 3 , and 4 . Quantum chemical calculations showed donor–acceptor‐type interaction for the Pt?S bonds in 2 and Pt?O bonds in 3 and 4 .  相似文献

The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is central to modern energy storage and conversion technologies for grids such as fuel cells and electrolyzers, but challenges remain due to the lack of reliable, economic, and durable electrocatalysts. Here, we develop single-crystal conductive black titanium (Ti4O7) nanosheets (NSs) as a new precious metal carrier based on sacrificial hard templates and ultrasonic-assisted peeling, and deposit Pt clusters on Ti4O7 NSs induced by wetness impregnation under the irradiation of visible light (VI; 650 nm). Pt/Ti4O7 NSs provide Ti3+, Pt2+, and Pt0+ continuous active sites for the ORR multielectron process, achieving synergy among them. The assistance of visible light not only makes a more uniform and smaller distribution of Pt nanoclusters, but also strengthens the charge transfer, thereby constructing a strong metal-support interaction interface. VI−Pt/Ti4O7 NSs show superior initial oxidation potential and a mass activity of 1.61 A mg−1Pt at a E1/2=0.91 V, which is nine times higher than that of commercial Pt/C. This work provides an effective strategy for achieving high-value applications of titanium sub-oxides and further explores the enhanced interface in metals TinO2n-1 by light radiation.  相似文献

The first examples of dimeric, di‐PtII‐containing heteropolytungstates are reported. The two isomeric di‐platinum(II)‐containing 22‐tungsto‐2‐phosphates [anti‐PtII2(α‐PW11O39)2]10? ( 1 a ) and [syn‐PtII2(α‐PW11O39)2]10? ( 2 a ) were synthesized in aqueous pH 3.5 medium using one‐pot procedures. Polyanions 1 a and 2 a contain a core comprising two face‐on PtO4 units, with a Pt???Pt distance of 2.9–3 Å. Both polyanions were investigated by single‐crystal XRD, IR, TGA, UV/Vis, 31P NMR, ESI‐MS, CID‐MS/MS, electrochemistry, and DFT. On the basis of DFT and electrochemistry, we demonstrated that the {Pt2II} moiety in 1 a and 2 a can undergo fully reversible two‐electron oxidation to {Pt2III}, accompanied by formation of a single Pt?Pt bond. Hence we have discovered the novel subclass of PtIII‐containing heteropolytungstates.  相似文献

A controlled composition‐based method—that is, the microwave‐assisted ethylene glycol (MEG) method—was successfully developed to prepare bimetallic PtxRu100?x/C nanoparticles (NPs) with different alloy compositions. This study highlights the impact of the variation in alloy composition of PtxRu100?x/C NPs on their alloying extent (structure) and subsequently their catalytic activity towards the methanol oxidation reaction (MOR). The alloying extent of these PtxRu100?x/C NPs has a strong influence on their Pt d‐band vacancy and Pt electroactive surface area (Pt ECSA); this relationship was systematically evaluated by using X‐ray absorption (XAS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), density functional theory (DFT) calculations, and electrochemical analyses. The MOR activity depends on two effects that act in cooperation, namely, the number of active Pt sites and their activity. Here the number of active Pt sites is associated with the Pt ECSA value, whereas the Pt‐site activity is associated with the alloying extent and Pt d‐band vacancy (electronic) effects. Among the PtxRu100?x/C NPs with various Pt:Ru atomic ratios (x=25, 50, and 75), the Pt75Ru25/C NPs were shown to be superior in MOR activity on account of their favorable alloying extent, Pt d‐band vacancy, and Pt ECSA. This short study brings new insight into probing the synergistic effect on the surface reactivity of the PtxRu100?x/C NPs, and possibly other bimetallic Pt‐based alloy NPs.  相似文献

Titanium‐oxide‐based materials are considered attractive and safe alternatives to carbonaceous anodes in Li‐ion batteries. In particular, the ramsdellite form TiO2(R) is known for its superior lithium‐storage ability as the bulk material when compared with other titanates. In this work, we prepared V‐doped lithium titanate ramsdellites with the formula Li0.5Ti1?xVxO2 (0≤x≤0.5) by a conventional solid‐state reaction. The lithium‐free Ti1?xVxO2 compounds, in which the ramsdellite framework remains virtually unaltered, are easily obtained by a simple aqueous oxidation/ion‐extraction process. Neutron powder diffraction is used to locate the Li channel site in Li0.5Ti1?xVxO2 compounds and to follow the lithium extraction by difference‐Fourier maps. Previously delithiated Ti1?xVxO2 ramsdellites are able to insert up to 0.8 Li+ per transition‐metal atom. The initial gravimetric capacities of 270 mAh g?1 with good cycle stability under constant current discharge conditions are among the highest reported for bulk TiO2‐related intercalation compounds for the threshold of one e? per formula unit.  相似文献

The anode materials Li4?xMgxTi5?xZrxO12 (x=0, 0.05, 0.1) were successfully synthesized by sol‐gel method using Ti(OC4H9)4, CH3COOLi·2H2O, MgCl2·6H2O and Zr(NO3)3·6H2O as raw materials. The crystalline structure, morphology and electrochemical properties of the as‐prepared materials were characterized by XRD, SEM, cyclic voltammograms (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and charge‐discharge cycling tests. The results show that the lattice parameters of the Mg‐Zr doped samples are slightly larger than that of the pure Li4Ti5O12, and Mg‐Zr doping does not change the basic Li4Ti5O12 structure. The rate capability of Li4?xMgxTi5?xZrxO12 (x=0.05, 0.1) electrodes is significantly improved due to the expansile Li+ diffusion channel and reduced charge transfer resistance. In this study, Li3.95Mg0.05Ti4.95Zr0.05O12 represented a relatively good rate capability and cycling stability, after 400 cycles at 10 C, the discharge capacity retained as 134.74 mAh·g?1 with capacity retention close to 100%. The excellent rate capability and good cycling performance make Li3.95Mg0.05Ti4.95Zr0.05O12 a promising anode material in lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

To better understand the range of cellular interactions of PtII‐based chemotherapeutics, robust and efficient methods to track and analyze Pt targets are needed. A powerful approach is to functionalize PtII compounds with alkyne or azide moieties for post‐treatment conjugation through the azide–alkyne cycloaddition (click) reaction. Herein, we report an alkyne‐appended cis‐diamine PtII compound, cis‐[Pt(2‐(5‐hexynyl)amido‐1,3‐propanediamine)Cl2] ( 1 ), the X‐ray crystal structure of which exhibits a combination of unusual radially distributed CH/π(C?C) interactions, Pt? Pt bonding, and NH:O/NH:Cl hydrogen bonds. In solution, 1 exhibits no Pt? alkyne interactions and binds readily to DNA. Subsequent click reactivity with nonfluorescent dansyl azide results in a 70‐fold fluorescence increase. This result demonstrates the potential for this new class of alkyne‐modified Pt compound for the comprehensive detection and isolation of Pt‐bound biomolecules.  相似文献

We report simple synthesis of ternary Pt–Au–Cu catalysts consisting of active Pt-rich shell and Pt transition-metal alloy core for use as highly active and durable electrocatalysts in oxygen reduction reactions. The ternary Pt–Au–Cu catalysts were synthesized by chemical coreduction followed by thermal treatment and chemical dealloying. During synthesis, thermal treatment formed metal particles into high-degree alloys, and chemical dealloying led to selective dissolution of soluble Cu species from the outer surface layer of the thermally treated alloy particles, resulting in Pt-based alloys@Pt-rich surface core–shell configuration. Compared with a commercial Pt/C catalyst, our Pt1?xAu x Cu3/C-AT catalysts exhibited approximately 2.4-fold enhanced performance in oxygen reduction reactions. Among the catalysts employed in this work, Pt0.97Au0.3Cu3/C-AT showed the highest performance in terms of mass activity, specific activity, and electrochemically active surface area loss with negligible change during 10,000 potential cycles. The synthesis details, electrochemical characteristics, oxygen reduction reaction performance, and durability of the chemically dealloyed ternary Pt–Au–Cu catalysts are presented and discussed.  相似文献

The bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm)‐bridged dinuclear cycloplatinated complex {[Pt(L)]2(μ‐dppm)}2+ (Pt2 ? dppm; HL: 2‐phenyl‐6‐(1H‐pyrazol‐3‐yl)‐pyridine) demonstrates interesting reversible “pivot‐hinge”‐like intramolecular motions in response to the protonation/deprotonation of L. In its protonated “closed” configuration, the two platinum(II) centers are held in position by intramolecular d8–d8 Pt–Pt interaction. In its deprotonated “open” configuration, such Pt–Pt interaction is cleaved. To further understand the mechanism behind this hingelike motion, an analogous dinuclear cycloplatinated complex, {[Pt(L)]2(μ‐dchpm)}2+ (Pt2 ? dchpm) with bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)methane (dchpm) as the bridging ligand, was synthesized. From its protonation/deprotonation responses, it was revealed that aromatic π–π interactions between the phenyl moieties of the μ‐dppm and the deprotonated pyrazolyl rings of L was essential to the reversible cleavage of the intramolecular Pt–Pt interaction in Pt2 ? dppm. In the case of Pt2 ? dchpm, spectroscopic and spectrofluorometric titrations as well as X‐ray crystallography indicated that the distance between the two platinum(II) centers shrank upon deprotonation, thus causing a redshift in its room‐temperature triplet metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer emission from 614 to 625 nm. Ab initio calculations revealed the presence of intramolecular hydrogen bonding between the deprotonated and negatively charged 1‐pyrazolyl‐N moiety and the methylene CH and phenyl C–H of the μ‐dppm. The “open” configuration of the deprotonated Pt2 ? dppm was estimated to be 19 kcal mol?1 more stable than its alternative “closed” configuration. On the other hand, the open configuration of the deprotonated Pt2 ? dchpm was 6 kcal mol?1 less stable than its alternative closed configuration.  相似文献

Efficient electro‐oxidation of formic acid, methanol, and ethanol is challenging owing to the multiple chemical reaction steps required to accomplish full oxidation to CO2. Herein, a ternary CoPtAu nanoparticle catalyst system is reported in which Co and Pt form an intermetallic L10‐structure and Au segregates on the surface to alloy with Pt. The L10‐structure stabilizes Co and significantly enhances the catalysis of the PtAu surface towards electro‐oxidation of ethanol, methanol, and formic acid, with mass activities of 1.55 A/mgPt, 1.49 A/mgPt, and 11.97 A/mgPt, respectively in 0.1 m HClO4. The L10‐CoPtAu catalyst is also stable, with negligible degradation in mass activities and no obvious Co/Pt/Au composition changes after 10 000 potential cycles. The in situ surface‐enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy study indicates that the ternary catalyst activates the C?C bond more efficiently for ethanol oxidation.  相似文献

Hydrogen oxidation and evolution reactions (HOR and HER) are studied on PtxNi1?x/C materials synthesized by the bromide anion exchange method. Physicochemical characterization shows that this surfactant‐free method enables the preparation of well‐dispersed and effective catalysts for the processes involved in the anode of H2/O2 fuel cells (HOR) and the cathode of water electrolyzers (HER). The Pt‐based materials are modified with different Ni contents to decrease the amount of costly precious metal in the electrode materials. These modified Pt‐based materials are found to be electroactive for both reactions without additional overpotential. Kinetic parameters such as the Tafel slope, exchange (j0) and kinetic current densities, and the rate‐determining steps of the reaction mechanisms are determined for each Pt–Ni catalyst and compared to those obtained at the Pt/C surface in alkaline medium. The high j0 values that are obtained indicate a probable contribution of the surface structure of the catalysts due to their roughness and the presence of oxygenated Ni species even at low potentials.  相似文献

Magneli phase titanium suboxide, Ti n O2n ? 1, with Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area up to 25 m2 g?1 was prepared using the heat treatment of titanium oxide (rutile) mixed with polyvinyl alcohol in ratios from 1:3 to 3:1. XRD patterns showed Ti4O7 as the major phase formed during the heat treatment process. The Ti n O2n ? 1 showed excellent electrochemical stability in the potential range of ?0.25 to 2.75 V vs. standard hydrogen electrode. The Ti n O2n ? 1 was employed as a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell catalyst support to prepare 20 wt% platinum (Pt)/Ti n O2n ? 1 catalyst. A fuel cell membrane electrode assembly was fabricated using the 20 wt% Pt/Ti n O2n ? 1 catalyst, and its performance was evaluated using H2/O2 at 80 °C. A current density of 0.125 A?cm?2 at 0.6 V was obtained at 80 °C.

Crystallographic studies of the Ba–Pt–O system have been undertaken using X-ray and electron diffraction techniques. The system is described by means of a Bap(BaxPt2+1−x)Pt4+p−2O3p−3formula which corresponds to a BaO3hexagonal based framework with Pt chains, whereprepresents the oxygen deficiency and the presence of both Pt4+and Pt2+cations in the compounds, andxa possible substitution of Pt2+by Ba2+in trigonal prismatic sites. The structure of a Ba4(Ba0.04Pt2+0.96)Pt4+2O9crystal has been solved by using 5548 X-ray difraction reflections collected on a twinned crystal. Refinements were performed with two distinct models: an “average”P321 space group and an “orthorhombic”C2 space group with cell parametersa=17.460(4) Å,b=10.085(2) Å,c=8.614(3) Å. In this structure, two Pt4+and one Pt2+cations are distributed over four Ba planes and form chains along thecaxis, consisting of two face-sharing Pt4+O6octahedra connected with one Pt2+O6trigonal prism. A lattice misfit occurs between the rigid barium lattice and the PtO3chains, giving rise to a composite structure. Twinning and domain configurations are described and taken into account in the refinement. This twinning is related to the presence of Pt2+cations, whose positions break the threefold axis symmetry. A diffraction anomalous fine structure (DAFS) study was also performed on this twinned single crystal. Anomalous scattering factorsf′ andf″ for platinum in this crystal were refined near the LIIIPt absorption edge. They confirm the weak barium occupancy of the trigonal prismataic site and the Pt4+valence of the octahedral sites. Reflection overlaps, due to twinning, flatten the DAFS sensitivity to Pt atoms in the prismatic sites and did not allow their clear valence determination, but Pt–O bond lengths agree with the presence of Pt2+cations at the center of prismatic faces. Electron diffraction patterns of powders having slightly different composition show a continuous evolution of incommensurate Bragg peaks and a weak correlation between the PtO3chains. They also confirm the composite nature and the one-dimensionality of the Bap(BaxPt2+1−x)Pt4+p−2O3p−3series, which can produce highly anisotropic physical properties.  相似文献

The activity of many water‐splitting photocatalysts could be improved by the use of RhIII–CrIII mixed oxide (Rh2?xCrxO3) particles as cocatalysts. Although further improvement of water‐splitting activity could be achieved if the size of the Rh2?xCrxO3 particles was decreased further, it is difficult to load ultrafine (<2 nm) Rh2?xCrxO3 particles onto a photocatalyst by using conventional loading methods. In this study, a new loading method was successfully established and was used to load Rh2?xCrxO3 particles with a size of approximately 1.3 nm and a narrow size distribution onto a BaLa4Ti4O15 photocatalyst. The obtained photocatalyst exhibited an apparent quantum yield of 16 %, which is the highest achieved for BaLa4Ti4O15 to date. Thus, the developed loading technique of Rh2?xCrxO3 particles is extremely effective at improving the activity of the water‐splitting photocatalyst BaLa4Ti4O15. This method is expected to be extended to other advanced water‐splitting photocatalysts to achieve higher quantum yields.  相似文献

An efficient and low-cost supported Pt catalyst for hydrogenation of niroarenes was prepared with colloid Pt precursors and α-Fe2O3 as a support. The catalyst with Pt content as low as 0.2 wt% exhibits high activities, chemoselectivities and stability in the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene and a variety of niroarenes. The conversion of nitrobenzene can reach 3170 molconv h?1 molPt?1 under mild conditions (30 °C, 5 bar), which is much higher than that of commercial Pt/C catalyst and many reported catalysts under similar reaction conditions. The spatial separation of the active sites for H2 dissociation and hydrogenation should be responsible for the high chemoselectivity, which decreases the contact possibility between the reducible groups of nitroarenes and Pt nanoparticles. The unique surface properties of α-Fe2O3 play an important role in the reaction process. It provides active sites for hydrogen spillover and reactant adsorption, and ultimately completes the hydrogenation of the nitro group on the catalyst surface.  相似文献
