We investigate the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation (QMA-EUR) in a Heisenberg XYZ mixed-spin (1/2, 1) model. Coupling strength, Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction and inhomogeneous magnetic field, respectively, contributing to QMA-EUR by a thermal entanglement in the hybrid-spin model are studied in detail. Furthermore, we compare the uncertainty of the bipartite hybrid model with those of qubit-qubit and qutrit-qutrit systems. Meanwhile, the effects of local PT-symmetric operation and weak measurement on the steering of entropic uncertainty are analyzed. We find that the local PT-symmetric operation can reduce the entropic uncertainty, and the entropic uncertainty can also be decreased by weak measurement reversal.  相似文献

We study the effect of weak measurements on the entropic uncertainty in two-qubit system under the generalized amplitude damping channel. Our results show that, the entropic uncertainty in qubits system can be reduced under weak measurements by choosing appropriate measuring strength, which provides a new method to break through the restriction of uncertainty relation in quantum mechanics.  相似文献

We explore the dynamical behaviors of the measurement uncertainty and quantum correlation for a vertical quantum-dot system in the presence of magnetic field, including electron-electron interaction and Coulomb-blocked systems. Stemming from the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation, the uncertainty of interest is associated with temperature and parameters related to the magnetic field. Interestingly, the temperature has two kinds of influences on the variation of measurement uncertainty with respect to the magnetic-field-related parameters. We also discuss the relation between the lower bound of Berta et al. and the quantum discord. It is found that there is a natural competition between the quantum discord and the entropy minΠiBSΠiB(ρA|B). Finally, we bring in two improved bounds to offer a more precise limit to the entropic uncertainty.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamical behaviors of quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty and its lower bound in the amplitude-damping channel. The influences of different placement positions of the quantum register on the dynamics of quantum coherence, quantum entanglement, and quantum discord are analyzed in detail. The numerical simulation results show that the quantum register should be placed in the channel of the non-Markovian effect. This option is beneficial to reduce the entropic uncertainty and its lower bound. We also find that this choice does not change the evolution of the quantum coherence and quantum entanglement, but changes the dynamical process of the quantum discord of the system. These results show that quantum coherence, quantum entanglement, and quantum discord are different quantum resources with unique characteristics and properties, and quantum discord can play a key role in reducing the uncertainty of quantum systems.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relations under two typical categories of noise: phase damping channel and depolarizing channel in detail. It shows that, owing to the dissipation, the entropic uncertainty monotonically increases and tends to a steady-state value with the increase of the decoherence in phase damping channel, and can always keep its lower bound during the evolution when the initial state is the maximum entangled state. The larger correlated dephasing rate is favorable for suppressing the amount of entropic uncertainty. In contrast, under the depolarizing channel with memory, the entropic uncertainty always fails to reach its lower bound. Besides, the entropic uncertainty and its lower bound firstly increase with time, then turn down and tend to a steady-state value. The larger correlated decay rate has no benefit to improve the accuracy of quantum measurement. Our investigations might offer an insight into the dynamics of the measurement uncertainty under decoherence, and be important to quantum precision measurement in open systems.

In a system of two charge-qubits that are initially prepared in a maximally entangled Bell’s state, the dynamics of quantum memory-assisted entropic uncertainty, purity, and negative entanglement are investigated. Isolated external cavity fields are considered in two different configurations: coherent-even coherent and even coherent cavity fields. For different initial cavity configurations, the temporal evolution of the final state of qubits and cavities is solved analytically. The effects of intrinsic decoherence and detuning strength on the dynamics of bipartite entropic uncertainty, purity and entanglement are explored. Depending on the field parameters, nonclassical correlations can be preserved. Nonclassical correlations and revival aspects appear to be significantly inhibited when intrinsic decoherence increases. Nonclassical correlations stay longer and have greater revivals due to the high detuning of the two qubits and the coherence strength of the initial cavity fields. Quantum memory-assisted entropic uncertainty and entropy have similar dynamics while the negativity presents fewer revivals in contrast.  相似文献

In the thermodynamic equilibrium of dipolar-coupled spin systems under the influence of a Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (D–M) interaction along the z-axis, the current study explores the quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation (QMA-EUR), entropy mixedness and the concurrence two-spin entanglement. Quantum entanglement is reduced at increased temperature values, but inflation uncertainty and mixedness are enhanced. The considered quantum effects are stabilized to their stationary values at high temperatures. The two-spin entanglement is entirely repressed if the D–M interaction is disregarded, and the entropic uncertainty and entropy mixedness reach their maximum values for equal coupling rates. Rather than the concurrence, the entropy mixedness can be a proper indicator of the nature of the entropic uncertainty. The effect of model parameters (D–M coupling and dipole–dipole spin) on the quantum dynamic effects in thermal environment temperature is explored. The results reveal that the model parameters cause significant variations in the predicted QMA-EUR.  相似文献

The uncertainty principle is a crucial aspect of quantum mechanics. It has been shown that quantum entanglement as well as more general notions of correlations, such as quantum discord, can relax or tighten the entropic uncertainty relation in the presence of an ancillary system. We explored the behaviour of entropic uncertainty relations for system of two qubits—one of which subjects to several forms of independent quantum noise,in both Markovian and non-Markovian regimes. The uncertainties and their lower bounds, identified by the entropic uncertainty relations, increase under independent local unital Markovian noisy channels, but they may decrease under non-unital channels. The behaviour of the uncertainties(and lower bounds)exhibit periodical oscillations due to correlation dynamics under independent non-Markovian reservoirs. In addition,we compare different entropic uncertainty relations in several special cases and find that discord-tightened entropic uncertainty relations offer in general a better estimate of the uncertainties in play.  相似文献

In this work, we mainly investigate effect of PT-symmetric operation on the dynamic behavior of the relative entropy of coherence for a two-level system within non-Markovian environments and put forward a feasible physical scheme to recover coherence by utilizing optimal PT-symmetric operation. The results show that the damaged quantum coherence can be effectively restored under influence of the non-Markovian regimes. Furthermore, the freezing phenomenon of the coherence can be detected by using the optimal PT-symmetric operation strength within the non-Markovian environments.

The results show that the damaged quantum coherence can be restored to a large extent. The uncertainty principle is regarded as one of basics in quantum mechanics, which sets up a strict lower bound to quantify the prediction on the outcome concerning a set of incompatible measurements. In this paper, we investigate the dynamic behaviors of quantum-memory-assisted entropic uncertainty relation (EUR), and quantum coherence in structured reservoir. The results shown that the EUR is smallest in the vanishing limit of noise regardless of the forms of the initial sate we considered, while the coherence keeps the maximal value. During the time-evolution process, the uncertainty bound is lifted and the coherence damps monotonously. Subsequently, the EUR converges to an asymptotic nonzero constant in the long-time limit, yet the coherence asymptotically decays to zero. Moreover, the initial state purity plays a deterministic role in the initial amounts of EUR and coherence, i.e. the larger purity the less EUR and larger coherence. As an application, we employ the EUR to witness the coherence, and prove that the corresponding witnessing efficiencies are only depended on the version of coherence, while are insensitive to the reservoir.

The dynamics of quantum‐memory‐assisted entropic uncertainty for the closed neutrino system in the context of two flavor oscillations and the meson system within the framework of open quantum system are investigated. It is found that the entropic uncertainty exists in close relation with the quantum correlation, and growing quantum correlation can decrease the uncertainty. The oscillatory behaviors of entropic uncertainty in neutrino system brought about by neutrino oscillating property are different from the decaying behaviors of entropic uncertainty in meson system induced by the meson decaying nature. In addition, the entropic uncertainty is always equal to its lower bound in the two subatomic systems. This study would throw light on the particle behavior characteristics of high energy physics, and may be useful to the tasks of quantum information‐processing implemented with subatomic system since the uncertainty principle plays vital role in quantum information science and technology.  相似文献

Based on a simple cavity‐engineered architecture, the dynamics of quantum memory–assisted entropic uncertainty relation (QMA‐EUR) for two qubits initially prepared in a generic Werner state is investigated. The effects of cavity decay rate, qubit–cavity couplings, and cavity–cavity couplings on the uncertainty are explored. It is found that the damped oscillation of uncertainty can be induced by the increase of two types of coupling strengths mentioned above. It is demonstrated that the maximum value of uncertainty is closely related to the purity of the initial state. The uncertainty can be either increased or decreased, depending on the threshold value of coupling strength between the two cavities. Finally, in agreement with a recent observation, an asynchronous relation between uncertainty and mixedness is found during the initial time evolution.  相似文献

Based on the time-convolutionless master-equation approach, the entropic uncertainty in the presence of quantum memory is investigated for a two-atom system in two dissipative cavities. We find that the entropic uncertainty can be controlled by the non-Markovian effect and the atom-cavity coupling. The results show that increasing the atom-cavity coupling can enlarge the oscillating frequencies of the entropic uncertainty and can decrease the minimal value of the entropic uncertainty.Enhancing the non-Markovian effect can reduce the minimal value of the entropic uncertainty. In particular,if the atom-cavity coupling or the non-Markovian effect is very strong, the entropic uncertainty will be very close to zero at certain time points, thus Bob can minimize his uncertainty about Alice's measurement outcomes.  相似文献

The uncertainty principle is a crucial aspect of quantum mechanics. It has been shown that the uncertainty principle can be tightened by quantum discord and classical correlation in the presence of quantum memory. We investigate the control of the entropic uncertainty and quantum discord in two two-level systems by an ancilla in dissipative environment. Our results show that the entropic uncertainty of an observed system can be reduced and the quantum discord between the observed system and the quantum memory system can be enhanced in the steady state of the system by adding an dissipative ancilla.Particularly, via preparing the state of the system to the highest excited state with hight fidelity, the entropic uncertainty can be reduced markedly and the quantum discord can be enhanced obviously. We explain these results using the definition of state fidelity.Furthermore,we present an effective strategy to further reduce the the entropic uncertainty and to enhance the the quantum discord via quantum-jump-based feedback control. Therefore, our results may be of importance in the context of quantum information technologies.  相似文献

In this work, we study the entropic uncertainty and quantum discord in two double-quantum-dot (DQD) system coupled via a transmission line resonator (TLR). Explicitly, the dynamics of the systemic quantum correlation and measured uncertainty are analysed with respect to a general X-type state as the initial state. Interestingly, it is found that the different parameters, including the eigenvalue α of the coherent state, detuning amount δ, frequency ω and the coupling constant g, have subtle effects on the dynamics of the entropic uncertainty, such as the oscillation period of the uncertainty. It is clear to reveal that the quantum discord and the lower bound of the entropic uncertainty are anti-correlated when the initial state of the system is the Werner-type state, while quantum discord and the lower bound of the entropic uncertainty are not anti-correlated when the initial state of the system is the Bell-diagonal state. Thereby, we claim that the current investigation would provide an insight into the entropic uncertainty and quantum correlation in DQDs system, and are basically of importance to quantum precision measurement in practical quantum information processing.  相似文献

We present exact analytical solutions to parity-time(P T) symmetric optical system describing light transport in P T-symmetric optical couplers. We show that light intensity oscillates periodically between two waveguides for unbroken P T-symmetric phase, whereas light always leaves the system from the waveguide experiencing gain when light is initially input at either waveguide experiencing gain or waveguide experiencing loss for broken P T-symmetric phase. These analytical results agree with the recent experimental observation reported by Ru¨ter et al. [Nat. Phys.6(2010) 192]. Besides, we present a scheme for manipulating P T symmetry by applying a periodic modulation. Our results provide an efficient way to control light propagation in periodically modulated P T-symmetric system by tuning the modulation amplitude and frequency.  相似文献

Quantum entanglement is regarded as one of the core concepts, which is used to describe the nonclassical correlation between subsystems, and entropic uncertainty relation plays a vital role in quantum precision measurement. It is well known that entanglement of formation can be expressed by von Neumann entropy of subsystems for arbitrary pure states. An interesting question is naturally raised:is there any intrinsic correlation between the entropic uncertainty relation and quantum entanglement?Or if the relation can be applied to estimate the entanglement. In this work,we focus on exploring the complementary relation between quantum entanglement and the entropic uncertainty relation. The results show that there exists an inequality relation between both of them for an arbitrary two-qubit system, and specifically the larger uncertainty will induce the weaker entanglement of the probed system, and vice versa.Besides,we use randomly generated states as illustrations to verify our results. Therefore,we claim that our observations might offer and support the validity of using the entropy uncertainty relation to estimate quantum entanglement.  相似文献

In this article we use a new entropic function, derived from an f-divergence between two probability distributions, for the construction of an alternative entropic uncertainty relation. After a brief review of some existing f-divergences, a new f-divergence and the corresponding entropic function, derived from it, is introduced and its useful characteristics are presented. This entropic function is then applied to construct an alternative uncertainty relation of two non-commuting observables in quantum physics. An explicit expression for such an uncertainty relation is found for the case of two observables which are the x- and z-components of the angular momentum of the spin-1/2 system.   相似文献
